★ Tourist location: Shanghai Changxing Island, the first beach of the Yangtze River
In fact, our itinerary did not include Changxing Island. Perhaps Chongming Island is too famous, so we always subconsciously ignore Shanghai's second largest island. However, the road here was a bit difficult to recognize, and I accidentally drove into the tunnel, crossed the Yangtze River, and arrived at Changxing Island. However, I have always adhered to the tradition of taking care of it when I come, so since I am here, I am not in a hurry to leave. The three-day itinerary is still very loose, so why not just spend half a day on this island!
Changxing Island is the closest island to Shanghai among the three Chongming Islands. It is known as the hometown of oranges and the hometown of longevity. Because the navigation tried my best to make me turn around, I turned right and drove forward when I got off the highway. Anyway, I could always reach the beach. Most of the most beautiful scenery in the so-called islands are along the coast and along the river. Although my hometown is on the edge of the Yangtze River, looking at the Yangtze River from a different angle makes me a little yearning.
"The First Beach of the Yangtze River"? I finally found this attraction on the map and was a little puzzled: "This is the first bank of the Yangtze River. What a big deal."
The tone is very big and popular. Due to the epidemic, only one entrance to the first beach was reserved, so we still walked a lot to find the entrance. There are still many people who come to the island for a short vacation on weekends.
The scenic area has a platform that can overlook the Yangtze River. Walking down the stairs, the giant stone carving of the "First Beach of the Yangtze River" is located on the platform, which is very magnificent. The name of the first beach actually does not mean that the river beaches here are particularly vast, but that Changxing Island is located at the mouth of the Yangtze River and close to the East China Sea, so it got its name. It is not necessarily arrogant.
This place was originally called the Bamboo Market, which sounds like it is famous for its bamboo, but now you can't see the bamboo forest. The land will be enclosed in 2020. According to the water flood control plan, it is necessary to build a levee that can withstand the once-in-200-year flood control. In 2013, an investment of 320 million yuan was invested to build an ecological green space with a length of 1800 meters and a width of 50-70 meters, combined with flood control requirements. On the one hand, it meets the basic requirements for flood control, and on the other hand, it also provides Shanghai citizens with a place to visit the river up close.
Although air and land transportation are now more convenient, the Yangtze River is still the main channel for river transportation. In the wide Yangtze River, ships big and small are busy moving forward, of course, all carrying goods.
Probably because I have lived along the Yangtze River for too long, I am not too surprised by the scenery of the Yangtze River that people are talking about. Although it is the first beach, to be honest, compared with the river beaches in Jiangyin, it does not feel much advantage. The river breeze is a little strong, and today is cloudy, so I don't feel warm at all. Walking along the plank road by the river, the river breeze is blowing and my hair is lifted. It's really a pleasant summer.
In addition to sailing ships, there are also some large ships that are used as props. Yes, without these ships, the mighty Yangtze River would undoubtedly lose some of its color.
Built along the Yangtze River is a river beach park, which is in a long and narrow state. Similar to common parks, it is nothing more than some small bridges, running water, green plants, coupled with some chairs and pavilions, which is the standard configuration of the park. But the most charming thing about this park is that you can walk to the river at any time.
Next to the rockery and creek rocks, the green plants are very lush. Unfortunately, there are few flowers in summer. However, Jiangtan Park did not want to create a world of flowers. The occasional Zalihua and the like are also very common aquatic plants.
There are also some places in the park that are suitable for children to play, such as beaches, which are not adjacent to the river, but are an integral part of the Jiangtan Park. Of course, they are man-made. You can't get down the real river beach here.
Walking out of the river beach, the opposite side has not yet been completed, and it is estimated that a resort will be built. On the low hillside, there are large tracts of verbena. If it takes another two years, the sea of flowers here will become large.
Poetry to remember:
Driving on the wrong road to find peace of mind, the first beach of the Yangtze River thousands of miles.
Let go of worries and shake the green shadow, but also add a smile and lean on the fence alone.
