★ Tourist location: Suzhou Shihu Scenic Area

I missed it intentionally or unintentionally several times when I passed through Shihu. This time, I made a coincidence. There were still two or three hours to go for a walk.

Shihu Lake is a tributary of Taihu Lake. Legend has it that during the Spring and Autumn Period, Fan Li and Xi Shi rowed into Taihu Lake from here. Because of this allusion, Shihu is no longer a plain urban park, although the natural scenery of this half-lake jasper looks good.

We entered from the south entrance and walked along the Fandi to the lake. After visual inspection, we found that the lake was really big. It seems that it will be a bit difficult to completely measure the Shihu in two or three hours. We made a rough plan of the route and delineated the scope of visiting the half-lake. Anyway, I was busy and had half a day's leisure, and I didn't have the ambition to swim it all in one go.

There are scattered plants on the lakeside of the lake, and we only found a large sea of flowers when we walked through the Nanyue Bridge, which suddenly added colorful colors to our originally monotonous journey. On one side is a half-lake jasper, and on the other side is a gorgeous sea of flowers, which has made people's eyes invisible.

Although there are many relics in Shihu, dating back to the Spring and Autumn Period, the Shihu Scenic Area is newly built, but some bridge names and scenery names will bring the light of history.

The green mountains on the other side are faint, which is the location of Shangfangshan Forest Park and Shangfangshan Zoo. We walked slowly and didn't want to climb the mountain on a hot afternoon. The main reason was that the shoes we wore today were not suitable for climbing, so we were in no hurry to get to the other bank.

Although it cannot be compared with the vast Taihu Lake in terms of scale, the scenery of Shihu Lake is indeed similar to Taihu Lake. Poplar trees brush the embankment, the water and grass are rich, and aquatic plants such as reeds ripple in the lake. Under the sun, the water in the Shihu Lake is green in color. No wonder it is called Half-Lake Jasper. As for the other half of the lake, because the lake is too big and far away, it is impossible to see whether the color of the lake is green.

"Chaoyin of Wu Yue" is a group of bronze carvings that reflect the war scene of Wu Yue's hegemony 2,500 years ago. The horses raised their hooves, the soldiers held their swords, and in front of them were chariots pulled by the horses, with soldiers following on both sides. Today's Shihu is as level as a mirror and beautiful scenery, making it hard to imagine the swords and swords during the struggle for hegemony in the Spring and Autumn Period thousands of years ago.

There is a group of buildings next to it, which are nothing more than pavilions, pavilions and pavilions. They are not very large in scale, but they can be used for tourists to rest. In fact, we are all a little thirsty at the moment, but although there are buildings, there are no goods, not even vending machines. Because it was a temporary visit, there was no water prepared. Only now did I realize how important the plan was.

There is an arch bridge in the middle of the lake. It does not look like a historical relic, but the shape of the bridge is quite beautiful. It just cuts through the connection between the two peninsulas protruding from the Shihu Lake. It is estimated that there are at least ten to twenty bridge holes in this arch bridge.

Walking through Yueying Bridge, there is a selected platform and a group of bronze carvings. These are the four sages of the "Four Great Poets of Revitalization" of the Southern Song Dynasty: Lu You, Fan Chengda, Yang Wanli and You Yan. This is called the "Four Sages Tour Lake". The four poets are enjoying the beautiful scenery of Shihu with great interest. I don't know if the great poet Lu You has ever been to Shihu. There seems to be no relevant records, but Fan Chengda's relationship with Shihu is quite great.

Fan Chengda, a large-scale Shihu layman, once lived in Shihu and left 60 pastoral poems, many of which recited Shihu."Shihu Ci" is Fan Chengda's masterpiece. Some people say that Shihu was once Fan Chengda's private garden, but looking at the scope of the Shihu, I don't think the credibility is too high. Maybe Fan carved a corner of Shihu to build his own garden, just like there are many ancient gardens along the Taihu Lake. They are just taking advantage of Taihu Lake as part of the garden.

When I first walked into Fan Di, I thought this "Fan" referred to Fan Li, but when I arrived here, I was not sure. Does this "Fan" actually refer to Fan Chengda? What a coincidence, Fan Li and Fan Chengda both have the surname "Fan". Maybe Fan Li is still Fan Chengda's ancestor for unknown generations in the genealogy!

There are not many buildings in Haitang Garden, but just a wall and a piece of crabapple is enough to beautiful spring. Unfortunately, it is now autumn, and the crabapple tree can only contribute large green leaves. It seems that the majority of crabapple varieties here are the penitentine varieties. There is a Chunrui Bridge nearby. The spring scenery here is probably very beautiful. The path paved with stone slabs allows you to go deep in, and the small pavilions in the four directions are hidden among the tall woods, looking very exquisite and lovely.

Nanshi Lake is between Fandi and Shidi. The Shidi is an arch bridge. We made up our mind to walk along the lake or enter Yangdi along Fanli Road. This is the scope of Dongshi Lake.

"Decent Terrace Qingxiao" is a group of scenic spots composed of Taige Waterfront. Directly opposite is Shangfang Mountain. The natural landscape and artificial buildings set off each other and is known as the excellent place of the entire Dongshi Lake.

Yiting Bridge is a bit special. Although it is also an arch bridge with a flat deck, pavilions are built on the bridge to rest and enjoy the scenery. Crossing the bridge is a mini island planted with poplar trees.

Walking slowly along the lake, you can see that there are also small islands in the lake with pavilions built on the island. There are pavilions by the lake to rest, and there is also a small pond where lotus flowers are planted.

After walking for a short way after crossing the embankment, I still firmly continued to walk along the lake. After passing the cruise ship terminal, you will find the fishing village, also known as Jue 'an and Yuzhuang.

When we saw Yuzhuang, we understood. It seems that there was once a person surnamed Yu here. After reading the introduction, I couldn't help but burst into laughter. To be honest, this fishing village really doesn't have a great relationship with "fishing". Its owner is Yu Jue, a famous calligrapher from the former Qing Dynasty who lived in Suzhou. Yu believed that this was the old site of Fancheng's Datianjing Pavilion, so in the 23rd year of the Republic of China, he built more than ten houses with his own money. He planted medicine and vegetables in the southwest garden, and planted flowers and bamboos, titled "Jue 'an". It seems that this Mr. Yu Jue should be a fan of Fan Chengda.

There is a four-story wooden building next to it, which is far-fetched because it is not a closed building. It seems to be a viewing platform, square, surrounded by wooden railings, and the downstairs is locked and inaccessible.

The door of Xinguo Old Street is also locked. You can see that this old street seems to be newly built, but it is just antique, but the trees are quite tall and should have some history.

The Yuecheng Bridge still looks old. The Xingchun Bridge on the right is the Jiuhuan Bridge, which is the best place to see the moon flowing through the stone lakes. It is said that at midnight on the 17th of the eighth month of the lunar calendar, when the moon is slightly west, the moonlight shines through the nine ring holes and shines directly on the water in the north, and a series of moon shadows can be seen. It is said that the scenery is the best on August 17th, but you should be able to see the strange scene of the moon in two or three days before and after.

Leaving the scenic area from here is Shangfang Mountain Forest Park. Unexpectedly, I had already reached the entrance of people and the "Jiangnan Flower Art Exhibition" was being held. But after looking at the time, it was really time to return. Looking at the shoes on his feet, he estimated that he couldn't walk far, so he could only endure the pain and give up. I can only comfort myself by saying that "the chrysanthemums are not yet in bloom, and this flower festival is actually not much to watch."

The mountains and rivers of the south of the Yangtze River contain thick clothes, and the phoenix and phoenix are wearing songs and singing old words.
The jade half lake is beautiful, and the autumn light competes for ten miles.
