When you came to Gusu, you saw people sleeping on the river
The ancient palace has less spare land, water alleys, and many small bridges
Night market sells lotus roots in spring boats carry silk
I know that the sleepless moon and my hometown are missing in the fishing song.
This is the ancients 'description of Jiang Jiangnan, and Suzhou, which has been known since ancient times as "heaven above and Suzhou and Hangzhou below", is even more desirable.
I remember that in Dream of the Red Chamber, Suzhou was described as "the most prosperous and romantic place in the world of mortals."
Here, I was fortunate enough to explore Qilishantang Street, the "No. 1 Ancient Street in Shenzhou" and the "No. 1 Famous Street in Suzhou", which is the most scenic spot. According to legend, Shantang Street was built by Bai Juyi, the great poet of the Tang Dynasty. It is now a national AAAA scenic spot and also known as a famous historical and cultural street in China. It was once one of the most developed commercial and cultural districts in China during the Ming and Qing Dynasties. Shantang Old Street is 360 meters long. Although it is only one-tenth of the size of Qili Shantang, it is the essence of the Shantang. It is called "the epitome of Lao Su and the window of Wu Culture."Let's take you here to lift the veil of this thousand-year-old street. You can reach Shantang Street directly on Metro Line 2, which is convenient for coming to Shantang Street. Walking in the green, white and gray buildings in the hot summer makes people relax, empty themselves, and weaken the impetuousness of summer. What impressed me most when I first met the mountain pond was her gentle attitude. The beautiful and charming mountain pond allowed countless famous people in ancient and modern times to live here and build gardens to celebrate the proud wind and moon. To this day, the Baigong Temple, the Temple of the Five Sages of the Tang and Song Dynasties, the Zhang Guowei Temple, the Li Yanling Temple, the former residence of Wu Yipeng... famous sages through the ages have been together with Shantang, bringing many awe-inspiring thoughts to this old street in the south of the Yangtze River.Shantang Street is divided into two main roads from the middle. The right side is as quiet as ever, and the left side is very lively. Walking on the shore and looking at the old houses in the ancient town with white walls and black tiles on both sides, I remember in my mind that "buying fish and wine is a journey like clouds; walking horses call eagles, and flying dust covers the sun. The words of the people in the village in the evening are the smoke that returns to the Baishe; the sound of flowers in the morning market is the dream of breaking the red building."It is not recommended to play here during holidays, otherwise you really can only depend on the head and heel. Not only can you taste various unique delicacies here, but you can also feel its unique charm through the buildings. However, you should also pay attention to avoid taking alleys as much as possible. If you are not careful, it may be difficult to get around. How can you come to Suzhou to visit without tasting the famous peach blossom brew here? It is sweet and has a lasting aftertaste.Strolling through the original appearance of thousands of years later, the story of history flies in the air, and tasting a cup of fragrant tea does not judge right or wrong. It is said that Emperor Qianlong of the Qing Dynasty traveled to Jiangnan and wrote in Qilishantang,"Emperor Qianlong of the Qing Dynasty traveled to Jiangnan in the Year of Renwu (1762), and in Qilishantang, he wrote in Qilishantang," Seeking Victory in Shantang ". Today, the Imperial Stele Pavilion in Shantang is still well preserved.Shantang Street is also known as Seven Beavers. According to legend, Liu Bowen, a master of the Ming Dynasty, had seven beavers in this thousand-year-old street for the purpose of breaking Feng Shui: they are the Meiren Beavers of Shantang Bridge, the Tonggui Beavers of Tonggui Bridge, the Wenxing Beavers of Xingqiao, the Caiyun Beavers of Caiyun Bridge, the Baigong Beavers of Puji Bridge, the Haiyong Beavers of Wangshan Bridge, and the Fenshui Beavers of Xishanmiao Bridge.
Of course, folk accounts are not consistent about the names of these civet cats; as for their origins, the legends are even more mysterious. Today, there are a total of seven stone beaver statues in Shantang Street, all of which were rebuilt based on historical legends in the past two years. There is even a saying among Suzhou folk: "Touch the head of a civet cat, and the whole year is good." It is generally believed that seven beavers can bring good luck. Haha, it feels meaningless to come to Shantang and not touch Qi Li. When you come to Shantang, you must remember to look for Qi Li Li. I believe it will bring us some good luck.Qi Li's first legend:It is related to King Helu of Wu and Qin Shi Huang. Tiger Hill, a scenic spot in Suzhou, is the tomb of King Helu of Wu. It is said that Helu's tomb is under the sword pool, and more than 3,000 swords, including Yu Chang, are buried with him. When Qin Shi Huang came here, he once saw a white tiger sitting on the mound. Qin Shi Huang waved his sword and wanted to cut it off. The white tiger transformed into a sword light and disappeared. Therefore, the tiger hill was named. It is said that the white tiger was transformed by the sword qi under the tiger hill. When Bai Juyi dug the Shantang River in later generations, in order to suppress the killing intent of the sword, he carved seven stone beaver statues and placed them in various Feng Shui sites on Shantang Street. At that time, these seven stone beavers were named Jinlu Beavers, Tongxing Beavers, Wenxing Beavers, Bantang Beavers, Baigong Beavers, Bianshan Beavers, and Haiyong Beavers. This is the earliest legend of the stone beaver statue in Shantang Street.
The second legend of Qi Li:--Liu Bowen built seven beavers. At the end of the Yuan Dynasty, Zhang Shicheng, who was a private salt trader, proclaimed himself emperor in Suzhou and established the country as the Great Zhou Dynasty. Later, he was defeated by Zhu Yuanzhang. Legend has it that after Zhu Yuanzhang defeated Zhang Shicheng, he sent Liu Bowen to Suzhou to inspect. Liu Bowen came to Shantang Street and found that the Shantang River was shaped like Wolong, where a dragon vein was located. He erected seven stone civet cat statues and placed them along the Shantang River Fengshui Pivot. These seven stone statues were like a chain that locked the dragon vein.
The third legend of Qi Li:It comes from the classic play "The Raccoon Cat for the Prince". The civet cat is a bobcat in the wild, with a particularly strong survival and reproduction ability. People in Suzhou once worshipped civet cat as a spiritual beast, and there is a saying that "touching the head of a bobcat will lead to a good year." Among the people, civet cat is a symbol of "having many children and being easy to bear." At that time, the royal family's descendants were dying, and the emperor not only had few sons, but it was difficult to support them. Therefore, the court court loved to raise civet cats in order to be an auspicious sign, which also attracted people to follow suit. This custom exists in Suzhou, and some people even place civet cats carved with bluestone on Shantang Street to pray for the prosperity of trade. This third legend is the most reliable, and may also be closest to the true origin of the stone raccoon statue on Shantang Street.
The first one:The beautiful fox symbolizes elegance. It is next to the Imperial Monument Pavilion. Located at the entrance of Shantang Street.
Second one:Tonggui fox symbolizes wealth. Tonggui Bridge, as the name suggests, is the road to wealth. Tonggui fox is next to the bridge and is the most decent of the seven. Many tourists prefer to take photos on this bridge. This is the most prominent among the seven raccoon cats, and its head has been curled very smoothly.
Third one:The literary star fox symbolizes knowledge. One of the most pitiful ones is the vegetable market below the bridge, and people carrying vegetables can be seen walking back everywhere. It gradually takes on the atmosphere of old Suzhou here. The Wenxing Fox is hidden behind the door.
the fourth: Colorful clouds and beavers symbolize happiness. Walking along the market, this civet cat is beside Caiyun Bridge. The other bridges basically remain their original appearance, but this Caiyun Bridge was destroyed. The scattered bricks and exposed walls in the distance... look like footsteps that are still in time.
Scenery on Caiyun BridgeFifth animal:White male fox symbolizes health. Puji Bridge is named after Puji Hall beside the bridge. This civet cat is called the white male civet, and its skin color is indeed whiter than the others. She pouted and looked arrogant.
This beaver is very cute, a bit like Jasper in the Ghost Horse Elf.Sixth animal:The surging sea beavers symbolize fate. It is located outside the gate of Huqiu Pagoda Temple, crowded between by bridges and road signs. It is really difficult to become famous. Tens of thousands of tourists come here every day to touch the raccoon cat's head and pray for fate to come soon! Tiger Hill was originally called Haiyong Mountain. The name of this fox should be related to Haiyong Mountain.
You will arrive at the ticket office of the Tiger Hill Scenic Area after walking here.Seventh:The watershed fox symbolizes opportunity. The location is the most remote. It has to continue from Tiger Hill, but it is also relatively quiet. Standing at the door of the public toilet, surrounded by weeds, this last one is the most difficult! Isn't this like an opportunity? You can't just encounter it casually. This stone beaver is so pitiful. He is in the most remote location and the worst environment.
Personally, when traveling in a place, what you visit is definitely not the scenery in front of you, but also the culture and legends hidden behind the scenery. Haha, it feels meaningless to come to Shantang and not touch Qi Li. When you come to Shantang, you must remember to look for Qi Li Li. I believe it will bring us some good luck. The night in the mountain pond also has a unique flavor. Imagine the river lying there quietly, reflecting the white walls and green tiles on both sides, and the waves rippling and silent. There are several small silver-white crescent bridges on the river. The banks are made of willow trees and jasper and thousands of hanging silk. When the wind blows gently, she dances gracefully in the wind......
After you come out at night, you can take a look at the night scene here. The lake scenery dotted with lights is pleasant. It can be as quiet as before on one side and lively on the other. Personally, I feel that the night scene here belongs to the healing series and is very comfortable.Shantang Street is the busiest at night. Lanterns hang high and reflected in the river, making it classical and peaceful. Looking across the street, it was silentThis is a quiet corner, and people walking here will whisper and never make any noise, and they will not disturb the tranquility here.Time flows slowly and orderly and quietly to reach a place to play. Accommodation also affects the mood of the entire trip. Therefore, I did a lot of strategies before coming and discovered this hotel with the characteristics of living alone, located in Sanxiang Square.Xucheng Building.
Advantage 1:Transportation is very convenient, 100 meters away from Sanxiang Square Subway Station.
Advantage 2:The hotel has a good reputation, has a high rating on travel websites, and has cultural themes.
Advantage 3:The hotel has a lot of delicious food products. When doing a guide, I found that the Internet celebrity Aozao meat rice dumplings were actually developed by this hotel. The Aozao noodles among the ten bowls of noodles in Suzhou were also from this hotel. (Baidu searches Suzhou Ten Bowls of Noodles), and there is also a popular brand of delicious fresh meat mooncakes (Don't eat too much, eat two of them just taste good). There is also a hotel cultural theme that is very distinctive and prominent, but not much to say. Beautiful pictures are presented.
The lobby decoration feels very stylish and you can smell the faint aroma of tea when you enter the doorThe layout of the room makes people look comfortableDue to the problem with the first room, the front desk upgraded me for free. The service was very good. The bathroom is also spotless, especially the mirrors. It's the cleanest hotel I've ever stayed in.There is a tea and book bar in the building next to it. It is a good, very quiet place to sip tea and read books.Stealing a half-day leisure and enjoying a window, the scenery becomes high mountains and riversDinner is a buffet meal served at the hotel. This is super fresh and has a pure taste, so I would like to recommend it to everyone. The full taste is really good and worth recommending. In the morning, I was lucky enough to taste this famous Olympic stove noodles. The waiter said that the most precious thing is that the soup is made with 18 medicinal materials and various seasonings. There are many kinds of toppings. I only like to eat the shrimp here. It is really great (the toppings need to be stuffed in the noodles)Although the noodles are delicious, they are a little expensiveThis is another very popular delicacy. Fresh meat moon cakes are crispy and soft. There are also many types of vegetables and fruitsThis trip was very enjoyable, from attractions, travel, transportation, food, and accommodation, everything was pleasant. So when it comes to a good travel guide, if you think it is good, remember to collect it!
