·Humble Administrator's Garden
I think it is a masterpiece of Suzhou gardens
Put almost all the thoughts of gardening into it
The courtyards are scattered and tortuous
It is a must-check in Suzhou garden
·Lingering in the garden
The Lingering Garden is my favorite garden after Humble Administrator's Garden
Although it is not as big as Humble Administrator's Garden, it is more like purification and concentration
Garden buildings are integrated with mountains, water and stones
·Internet Master Park
A unique way to play this Suzhou garden is night tours
It was also the first to launch night tours in all Suzhou gardens
There will be some performances with strong Suzhou flavor to add charm
Then I won't tell you so much about gardens today
Just recommend one of the Suzhou gardens that I find not only beautiful but also interesting
It is the Lion Grove
Lion Forest is also one of the representatives of Chinese classical garden architecture and one of the four famous gardens in Suzhou
Why is it named Lion Forest? Because there are various stone peaks erected in the garden
Some are shaped like lions, so they are called Lion Grove
Suzhou gardens are all year round and have a unique beauty
When you come to the Lion Forest in the golden autumn, of course, the most important thing you can't miss is ginkgo biloba
Not yet in the garden
From outside the alley, you can see two lush ginkgo trees sticking out of the wall
There happened to be a sign reading Lion Grove hanging on the wall, which suits the scene very well.
Scan the venue code from the entrance
Just take a look at the whole picture of these two ginkgo trees
I can see it's been a while
To thrive, even high walls cannot resist its vitality
Behind the gate at the ticket gate
There are also two plants that are not to be outdone
Of course, the most worth seeing is the one in the garden
There have been ancient ginkgo trees for more than 400 years
Walking through the lobby of Lion Grove
Pass through round doors and corridors
Passing by exquisite ancient buildings
When you enter the central view
Will be immediately affected by a distant star
Ancient ginkgo trees with majestic trees and fluttering branches and leaves
It stands vigorously among the rockery by the lake
Enjoy it from a distance and you can feel its majesty
Standing under the tree must have a more feeling of blocking out the sky and the sun
Standing under the tree and looking up at this ancient ginkgo
But I think it's in its prime
Strong vitality is growing higher and farther
It's great to meet it when the leaves are about to turn yellow and there are no fallen leaves
Look under the tree and in different directions
You can see the branches it stretches out
At this time, you can admire it and look at the landscape of the garden
Of course, you can also appreciate it from different perspectives of the garden
This ancient ginkgo tree is in the garden landscape
What are the characteristics?
Gardening is the characteristic of one step by step
Then I recommend some of the best places to view ancient ginkgo biloba
One is in the courtyard of the Water Hall where the wind blows
You can enjoy the appearance of garden rockery, lake water and ginkgo trees with the greatest view
One is in Zhenqu Pavilion
You can see that the nearby lake pavilion is just under the branches of ancient ginkgo trees
One is on the ancient bridge in front of ginkgo biloba
You can see the branches of ancient ginkgo trees stretching out like this side with the view of the ancient bridge
There is also one on the rockery opposite
In short, in fact, each angle has its own characteristics
I wonder where you would like to appreciate it from
Lion Forest is actually most famous for its rockery
The rocks in Suzhou gardens are basically taken from Taihu Lake rocks
So, the rockery in general gardens is used as a landscape design, right?
Lion Forest is different
The rockery design of Lion Forest is more like a maze
After entering the rockery from any entrance
You start to get confused
Why is someone standing high in front of me?
Where did he come from?
How did I get here?
How should I get there?
It was right in front of me, but I couldn't find my way through
You think this entrance can be reached
In fact, you're getting further and further away
The rockery in Lion Forest is so magical
Even if you go around it a few times
You still may not even remember if you want to go to this point
Where is the correct entrance?
Great for exploring and for tourists with children
Of course, if you just go in one direction
It's easy to get to the exit on this stretch of road
Doesn't seem too difficult
In addition to the bizarre labyrinth design
This rockery group is indeed a different kind of scenery
There are also some in all corners of the garden
In the Tingtao Pavilion, you can see the continuous flow of water
You'll wonder where the water here comes from
Some rockery in the yard
Strange shape and unique shape
Little did I know that these were all made naturally
It's the magic work of nature
Lion Forest has experienced many ups and downs
Its gardening techniques even incorporate Buddhist ideas and Western styles
So you'll see buildings in the garden that don't seem like classical gardens
Like Zhenqu Pavilion, a pavilion with cornices and corners
The interior is inlaid with gold rims, and even the plaque is decorated
There is also a golden lion on the guardrail on the edge to protect you
More like a pavilion in the palace
Another example is this stone boat
It was built by the last owner of the Lion Forest in the early years of the Republic of China
Too realistic, and there are stained glass windows on the side of the hull
There is some Western flavor in it
Others include the Woyunshi, which was once a meditation room for monks
Jianshan Tower combining Chinese and Western styles, fan-shaped pavilions, etc.
Various styles of buildings are slightly different in the Lion Grove
But it does not affect the uniqueness of the Lion Grove at all
The most beautiful autumn scenery in Lion Forest is from the end of November to the beginning of December
The location is easy to find, not far from the most famous Humble Administrator's Garden and Suzhou Museum
The more troublesome thing is transportation
The nearest subway station is far away, starting from a 15-minute walk
There are many buses nearby, but it is a little troublesome
If you drive by yourself, traffic jams in the ancient city are prone to and alleys are relatively narrow
Tickets for Lion Grove are 40 yuan in the peak season and 30 yuan in the off-season. This is the off-season
You must make an online reservation in advance to enter the park with your real name and bring your ID card
Opening hours are 7:30-17:00. If it is peak season, it is recommended to check in early or late.
