5. Suzhou Old Street: Pingjiang Road, Shantang Street
Equally famous as Suzhou Gardens is the Old Street. From Humble Administrator's Garden, you can reach the Pingjiang Road Historical and Cultural District, which is 1.6 kilometers long.
The ancient poem says: "When you come to Gusu, people sleep on the river. There is little idle land in the ancient palace and many small bridges in the water port. "
The waiter of the wax man shop is rolling out medicine at the entrance of the pharmacy.
A must-visit place when passing through Suzhou.
Visiting the Jiangnan water town will inevitably remind you of the famous saying "small bridges and flowing rivers, and families".
The artistic conception described in Ma Zhiyuan's "Tianjingsha·Autumn Thoughts" in the Yuan Dynasty is very different from what is now.
Dried vines, old trees and dark crows, small bridges and flowing water, people, ancient roads and thin horses with west wind. As the sun sets, the heartbroken person is in the end of the world.
"Small bridges and flowing water, people's homes", nowadays, most of the "homes" have become shops.
The facade is not big and the dishes are fragrant.
In the online celebrity specialty store, the owner was wearing Hanfu, and her daughter immediately walked in. A bowl of flour costs 20 yuan. It is served in a disposable bowl (very realistic) sour and sweet. I tasted it twice and it was terrible.
Walking on the old street, you can have many kinds of "encounters"
I walked in and didn't see a cat.
If you want to put brocade and add new clothes, guests go outdoors and knock on the store door.
The house is full of golden nights, and the old street shines with neon lights.
Walking east along Daru Lane to the end, I saw a white wall with four big characters. I read them from the left and right, but I couldn't understand them no matter how hard I tried to read them. Later, I learned that it was the "Fish Food Rice Rice Soil Stove Hall", a signboard.
The sign is big and the gate is small, but the inside of the narrow corridor is very big.
Choose a seat near the window, order a few special dishes, taste the soup on the table, fresh fish, and chew slowly; look out the window at the dim lights and people coming and going.
The store also arranged for Hua Dan to sing music. I hurriedly took photos and videos, and forgot the taste of the food.
In the TV series "Everything's Fine" starring Yao Chen, Shi Dagu's Japanese cuisine is near "Fish Stone Rice Rice". This hut became popular because of Yao Chen. It was not allowed to enter without consumption. There were many people peeping outside.
After eating, come to a pot of tea and use tea instead of wine to compete with gods.
After strolling Pingjiang Road and eating and drinking, I couldn't help but tamper with Lao Ma's poems:
Dried vines, old trees and dark crows, small bridges and flowing water, people on ancient roads, tourists and horses, sunset sets in the west, and happy people are in the horizon.
Shantang Street has a total length of seven miles, so it is also known as "Qili Shantang". Shantang Old Street only accounts for 306 meters, but it gathers the essence of the entire Shantang District. Like the water street on Pingjiang Road, the intertwined river courses have become the soul hub of Shantang Street's scenery. It was built by recruiting workers to dig rivers and build embankments when Bai Juyi, the great poet of the Tang Dynasty, was appointed governor of Suzhou. It has a history of more than 1,100 years. (Baidu knows)
After walking all the way,
Liushui people are slightly different.
Shops, forests and waterways,
The small boat is leisurely and the river is used as a pillow.
Buy a piece of homemade crispy and try it,
Lanterns lead the way into the alley.
How could the ancients be as leisurely as I am?
Eat, drink and have fun and visit the old city.
6. Tongli Ancient Town
The most famous ancient towns in Jiangnan are Zhouzhuang and Wuzhen. Because I have been to both of them, I chose Tongli, which is closest to Suzhou. It can be reached by subway.
Tickets cost 100 yuan!
I often think: City people go to rural towns to buy tickets, do villagers also buy tickets when they go to cities? There are more interesting and beautiful things in the city than in the countryside.
Tuisi Garden in the scenic area
The sun turns west, the setting sun shines, and the light and shadow are just right.
Black doors and windows, black roof tiles, old houses are so elegant.
Three sets of doors, Fenghe House, waiting for you to return home.
Former women's school
There are many talented women in Jiangnan because of their good schools.
A luxury accommodation in Tongli is not called a hotel but called "Tongli Huajiantang. "Beautiful for Women Learn" is very elegant and quiet. I haven't done my homework before, otherwise I would stay here for one night and enjoy the life of a manor owner.
The night view in Tongli is very beautiful, and the bars and restaurants are full of singing and dancing.
7. Suzhou New District
Compared with the Laocheng District, it is not very touristy.
Sing Suzhou with a loud song,
Three circles and links reflect the tall buildings.
There are few people in Eslite Building.
Why build "big pants"? (Landmark building in Suzhou New Area)
8. Suzhou Museum
Walking into the museum is like walking into a modern Suzhou garden, with simple lines and fresh and refined.
Different from the Humble Administrator's Garden and the Lingering Garden, which are painted beams and carved buildings, they can be seen slightly.
The museum was designed by famous Chinese builder I.M. Pei. The designer's reputation and works have greatly increased the flow of visitors. (The Suzhou Garden Museum next door is relatively deserted.)
I.M. Pei, whose ancestral home was in Suzhou, designed the pyramid outside the Louvre Palace in Paris and the Bank of China Tower in Hong Kong.
A white wall is painted horizontally and horizontally (Bayes famous saying: "Let the light make the design")
Light leaks and inclined roofs pave the way. (Space processing is unique)
Outside the window, a tree is full of autumn,
The sun in the window is good for reading.
9. Highly recommended accommodation in Suzhou
Orange Manxin Hotel is a converted from an old bungalow along the Suzhou River. The front desk is decorated warmly and tastefully, and you can walk to several attractions.
We booked two rooms and one suite. It was very spacious and stayed for three consecutive nights. It is difficult to find a hotel with such suites. (The B & B booked in Nanjing was cheated.) The store manager was so enthusiastic that he gave me a membership card for "Huazhu".
Early in the morning, you can see such a beautiful scenery just when you walk out of the hotel.
"Suzhou cuisine in the courtyard" with a river view-eating and living are the icing on the cake.
After touring Suzhou, enjoying delicious Chinese food, we set off for Shanghai.
