Leave Baosheng Temple, return to Xihui Shangtang Street and continue eastward to admire the ancient town. The streets and alleys of Luzhi Ancient Town are paved with pebbles and granite. On both sides of the deep alleys are ancient buildings with black tiles and white walls, wooden doors and wooden windows, and wide beams and raised ridges. Most of them were built in the Ming and Qing Dynasties. I accidentally came across a large house. There was a blue brick in front of the house across the street, with the word "Yi Yun" engraved on it. There is a stone tablet next to it engraved with "Shen Baihan's former residence".

This is the gate of Shen residence that faces the street. Shen House was built in the ninth year of Tongzhi in the Qing Dynasty and is the former residence of Mr. Shen Baihan, an educator in Luzhi.

The word "Shen Zhai" is simply written on a screen in the foyer.

Across the foyer is a patio. There is a side room on one side of the patio, which is currently closed.

The Shen family was introduced in the front hall with words and pictures.

Shen's family was originally rich, with extensive real estate, and numerous industries and wealth. Since the late Qing Dynasty and the early Republic of China, the slang "Shen Banzhen" has been widely circulated.

The building is a typical Soviet-style building. Look at the three flowered windows on this wall, each of which is different.

There are three main halls in this entrance. This is the most essential part of the Leshan Hall in the Shen residence. The building is tall and spacious, with carving techniques everywhere.

The large plaque of "Leshan Hall" hangs high above the hall. There is a couplet on the vestibule column, and there is another couplet on both sides of the middle hall painting. The former is for educating future generations, while the latter is related to the name of the hall. It is the highest realm that we hope to achieve through "joy and kindness".

Walking through the backyard, you will find a seven-bay building with wing rooms. The east and west buildings are both designed with stairs.

The Shen residence, which is open to the public, is not big. It only takes ten minutes to walk around, and then walk out of the door and face the Zhaobi.

Continuing east along Xihui Shangtang Street, the streets and alleys of Ma Shiban are narrow and there are a dazzling array of shops on both sides.

At the east end of Xihui Street, there is a stone arch bridge-Jinli Bridge. It was built before Qianlong in the Qing Dynasty. It is a single-hole granite stone arch bridge that spans the Zhongshi River and connects Zhongshi Street and Nanshi Xiatang Street.

Stand on Jinli Bridge and enjoy the early spring scenery of Luzhi Ancient Town. This is the intersection of two rivers in a T-shape.

The street parallel to the river is called Nanshi Xiatang Street, which runs from north to south in the ancient town.

Various shops are dotted along the street. Another architectural feature of Luzhi Ancient Town is the rain corridor. There are long rain corridors along the river to shelter shops and tourists from the wind and rain, and to shade them from the heat.

We were heading south along Xiatang Street in Nanshi at the T-junction. I wanted to rush to Mihang to see what was going on before it closed.

There is a Langqiao Ao Noodle Restaurant along the river, which looks very delicious.

There are several students sketching along the river. I stayed here for a while. Travel sketching has always been what I yearn for, and I also started to learn to draw this year. The simplest pen and ink drawing can start travel sketching with a piece of paper and a pen. I was just starting out, and I was in the copying stage, and I also hope that I can start a period of slow travel like this in the future.

This is the picture they sketched. The ancient town is now undergoing maintenance and repair, and various scaffolds are erected everywhere in each town.

I like the residential houses in Luzhi, which are not large in size, and have small and exquisite shapes, just like a woman in a small family.

Niuchang Lane, an interesting name.

The Xinglong Bridge, with bluestone as the arch, Wukang stone as the pier, and granite-level masonry, was built during the Chenghua period of the Ming Dynasty and repaired 30 years after Qianlong of the Qing Dynasty.

On one side are residential houses near the water, on the other side are lush street trees, and a line-shaped stone beam bridge-Zhengyuan Bridge spans the river.

Wansheng Rice Store is a time-honored shop. It was founded in the early years of the Republic of China and was jointly run by two wealthy businessmen in the town, Shen and Fan. The rice line was large in scale, with shops in front and behind. It was the leading rice line in Wudong area at that time. Mr. Ye Shengtao, a famous litterateur and educator, has made Wansheng Rice Shop famous at home and abroad, and this historical rice shop is located on Xiatang Street, Nanshi.

The pattern of the rice store is "front shop and back court." In front of it are shops for trading, and behind it are rice processing workshops and grain warehouses. The spacious stone courtyard,

Under the corridor on the other side of the courtyard is a comic strip of Mr. Ye Shengtao's novel "Three to Five Duels More Collected". This novel was once selected by the People's Education Press into a Chinese textbook for middle school. The fragment describing the scene of selling rice is titled "Selling Rice" and was also selected into a Chinese textbook for primary school. Wansheng Mihang has also become famous at home and abroad.

Go through the yard to "Lei Si Tang", where there is a farm tools museum.

The hall displays ancient Jiangnan rice farming tools and instruments for processing rice, becoming a "Farm Tools Museum" with a unique water town style.

In the farm tools museum, many farm tools collections are displayed in categories through display cabinets, presenting everyone with a magnificent picture of the grand scenery of rice travel in the Republic of China.

After the visit, you will exit directly from this door and return to Xiatang Street in Nanshi.

This is the river pier where rice travels, which is the terminal for loading and unloading rice.

The mottled powder walls, heavy black tiles, and a string of red lanterns are the tone of the ancient town.

Mixing is a scenic spot at the southernmost tip of the ancient town. After visiting, go north along Xiatang Street in Nanshi and continue to stroll through the ancient town.
