★ Tourist location: Jingsi Garden in Tongli Town, Wujiang, Suzhou
Jingsi Garden is not far from Tongli Ancient Town, but its popularity cannot be compared with the ancient town scenic spot. I don't know whether it was the cause of the epidemic, but when we arrived at the scenic spot, there were very few private cars parked in the parking lot. In fact, I have long known the name of Jingsi Garden, but I always pass by it. Therefore, when I came to Tongli this time, I chose Jingsi Garden as the first stop. I couldn't miss it again!
This garden was built in 1993. It is really difficult to talk about history to make people feel compelled to go. It covers a large area of about 100 acres. It is a private garden owned by private entrepreneur Mr. Chen Jingen and took 10 years to build. Jingsi means tranquility and Siyuan, and architecture is a typical pattern of Suzhou's classical gardens. Because the building is relatively late, in addition to classical gardens, some factors from royal gardens are also absorbed.
Entering the garden gate, you can see the beautiful covered bridge at a glance. Covered bridges are also a common building in Jiangnan water towns. The entire bridge is built into a corridor, so you don't have to worry about getting caught in the rain on rainy days. The perfect arch is reflected in the water, and a complete shape is formed as long as it stays on the water.
To the left there is Qingyun Peak, which is nine meters high and weighs 136 tons. It has 1,600 holes in its entire body, and the holes are connected. At first, I thought it was Taihu Lake stone. After all, Suzhou is also close to Taihu Lake! After reading the introduction, I realized that this is a piece of Lingbi stone, setting the Guinness record of the "largest Lingbi stone". This huge stone was collected from Lingbi County, Anhui Province. It was collected by Mr. Chen Jingen in Jingsi Garden on September 28, 2001. It is said that if a fire is lit at the bottom of the peak, you can see the spectacle of smoke growing in all the orifices. If water is poured into the top, it will be a scene of thousands of springs draining jade. But today this stone neither produces smoke nor discharges waterfalls. We can only see a huge stone.
There is a stone worship pavilion next to it, which should be a pavilion built because of stones. The layout is very simple. There are no landscape painting shafts under the plaque, and couplets are engraved on the pillars on both sides.
There is a Yunfan Pavilion leaning against the wall, and on one side is a corridor. There is a red flower tree by the lake. It doesn't look too thick, but in fact, it is already six hundred years old. Among the red flower trees, it can definitely be called longevity.
The brick-carved gate building of "Shudewuzi" was moved from Caojia Lane, Zhongjie Road, Suzhou. In the auspicious clouds, the five cranes dance and raise their heads to the sky. In the middle are Wang Renshu's four words "Shudewuzi", which means to establish a beautiful character and nourish life.
Walking past Yongquan Tower, you will find that there are relatively dense buildings in this area, including Xiulou Tower, Jingyuan Hall, Fushou Hall, and Tianxiang Bookstore on one side. This house was originally named Nanmu Hall, with an architectural style of the Ming Dynasty. It was originally located in Houbu Village, Xishan, and it was a large household surnamed Yin. However, the original building was relatively low to the enemy. When the park was built, it was changed to a rolling shed roof type four-sided hall, which should be raised high. The furnishings are Ming-style tables and chairs, and the two sides of the south wood beams are not painted with red paint, so they are very rare. At the door is Wukang stone from the Song Dynasty, which is dark purple.
Of course, there are not only these two brick carvings in Jingsi Garden, but other brick carvings look much simpler and newer, and there are no clearly layered brick carvings.
Xiaochuihong was built in the Northern Song Dynasty and got its name because the Chuihong Pavilion was built in the center of the bridge. The Chui Hongqiao Bridge was rebuilt several times due to wind, rain and military disasters. The bridge had 99 holes at its peak. It was built nearly ten times in the Ming and Qing Dynasties, and by 1915 only 44 holes remained. By now, the Chui Hongqiao Bridge has collapsed, and the longest bridge in Jiangnan is no longer there. When it was founded in the Song Dynasty, this was one of the unique scenery of the Three Wu States. Su Shunqin, a famous poet in the Song Dynasty, once wrote a poem: "The clouds are shining and golden cakes are blooming, and the water surface is deep and the rainbow is lying." This small rainbow in Jingsi Garden is just a way to reminisce about the past.
There is a small fast wind pavilion above the rockery. It is transparent on three sides, only one side has a wall with rectangular panes in the wall. Sitting in the pavilion, it looks like a natural landscape painting. This is probably the highest point of Jingsi Garden. Standing at the entrance of the pavilion, you can overlook the central area of Jingsi Garden.
When I came down from Dege, I saw a child taking a photo shoot. He was very cute in Han clothes. However, the child was naughty and had to be coaxed by his mother and the photographer when he wanted to fold a photo. However, the scenery in this area is indeed beautiful. Although it is not yet autumn, the red maples are scattered and it feels quite colorful.
The buildings by the lake are very densely laid out, with pavilions and pavilions scattered in an orderly manner. Because it has been carefully designed, it does not look bloated.
The Qingfeng Pavilion by the lake is not a classical hexagonal or octagonal shape, but a circular pavilion. With the surrounding buildings with angled corners and double eaves, this simple pavilion undoubtedly looks very simple.
There are steles in the corridor by the lake. Here are statues of historical scientists. Tongli is really a place with outstanding people. In ancient times, talents emerged in large numbers, and their connections have continued to this day.
If Guihang is a dry boat, it is a must-have boat in this kind of Jiangnan garden anyway. This kind of boat cannot be sailed, but it is just used as a garden water building. The three sides are open to the water, the roof is rolled, the front cabin is higher, the middle cabin is slightly lower, and the tail cabin is connected to the corridor, forming a changing aesthetic feeling in the building.
The entire water area is divided by Heting Bridge, which is the beautiful misty covered bridge we saw when we entered the park. Because it spans the lake, the whole bridge looks very grand and can be regarded as the iconic landscape of Jingsi Garden. The top is in the shape of a Canglang Pavilion building-style cornices and angled corners, with one high and two low shaped like a crane spreading its wings and flying.
Walking through the covered bridge is an ancient stage with the inscription "Jiangnan Safe and Blessed Land". This stage should have belonged to the temple, probably part of the Jingsi Zen Temple.
Wushan Mountain House is an antique building with a relatively large size and is divided into two floors. The lower level is a stone hall, which displays more than 100 pieces of fine and famous stones, most of which are Lingbi stones.
The scale of the Bonsai Garden is not very large. If we have not studied bonsai, we actually can't see anything. It is probably similar to the Soviet-style bonsai.
Coming out of the exit, I passed a relatively empty building. There are also a large number of stone displays here. I don't think there will be any display in Wushan's room, right?
Thousands of miles of clear brilliance reflects the painting screen, and the shadow in front of the steps seems to be drifting away.
Tourists asked why they were drunk, and the beautiful scenery vaguely shone on the evening court.
