Born in Jiangnan, but still have a special liking for Jiangnan. Gardens, small bridges and flowing water, white walls and black tiles... all make people full of thoughts. In early autumn in Jiangnan, rain as thin as ox hair shuttled down through the fog, and I came to Changshu, a beautiful place. At the Yushan Cultural Tourism Resort, enjoy a cup of Yushan green tea, eat a bowl of mushroom oil noodles, listen to a Kunqu opera, and take a night boat trip in Shanghu... You will find that you are particularly relaxed here, slow down life, poetic, comfortable.

Eat in Changshu

Life in Changshu people starts at 8 a.m. Be sure to go to Wangsi Lao Noodle Restaurant, a century-old restaurant opened by Wangsi Restaurant. Here you can not only taste Changshu's authentic breakfast flavor, but also let you feel the exquisite life of Changshu.

Special mushroom oil noodles are served with fish slices or fried fish and shrimp, plus bean pudding ingredients according to your taste, as well as various pastries. The delicious and delicious meat dumplings, bean paste square cakes, yogurt lily desserts... The dishes are exquisite and are still unfinished after eating.

When it comes to eating, you must not miss out on Wangsi Restaurant's crow chicken. Wangsi Jiaohua chicken is made by Wang Zukang, the head of Wangsi Restaurant, imitating the ancient simmering method and improving the ingredients. Wang Si's chicken must be "Sanhuang chicken". They have a special large-scale breeding base, which is raised freely throughout the mountain, and then add a secret recipe. They must use high-quality ham meat (or sausage), chicken gizzards, cashew nuts, fresh meat, mushrooms, dried scallops, winter bamboo shoots, and shrimp. Marinate for more than 5 hours, wrap them in lotus leaves, tie them with fine grass, and then wrap them in yellow mud on Yushan, and simmer and bake them with pine wood for 5 hours.

When the mud shell is cracked open, the aroma comes to your nostrils, and the meat is crispy, plump and tender, with a unique flavor.

During the two-day dinner, my favorite meal was the meal at Sanfeng Farmhouse-Qingya Tea Garden. The dishes here are still as exquisite as Changshu, and the taste is very in line with my taste, with full color, aroma and fragrance.

In the Shanghu Scenic Area of Changshu Yushan Cultural Tourism Resort, there is a restaurant called "Shanzheng Fang". You can also taste authentic Changshu specialties, which are rich in dishes and delicious in taste.

Weng Tonghe, the first mentor of China's reform and the master of the two dynasties, is an important historical memory of the city of Changshu. At No. 2 Wengjia Lane Gate, pass through Zhuangyuan Square and walk into Wengjia Lane Gate. Within a few steps, you will find the Weng Tonghe Memorial Hall.

This is a seven-entry ancient house, covering an area of 6000 square meters and a building area of 3000 square meters. Tour along the central axis, there are seven entrances in total, including the entrance hall, sedan hall, Caiyi Hall (main hall), back hall building and Shuanggui Xuan.

Weng Tonghe's calligraphy is displayed here, which allows you to learn from Weng's family tradition and "absorb" the essence of Weng's family rules.

What I like most is the courtyard here, where I can sit and drink tea and rest. Looking at the stacked rockery and stones, wolfberry trees crawling on the white wall, and a few cats climbing trees and playing, the charm of Jiangnan reveals some fun and vitality.

There are not only pavilions, pavilions, small bridges and flowing water in Jiangnan. At the foot of the Yushan Cultural Tourism Resort, there is a literary and artistic "utopia" that young people love-Shanpianfang Cultural Tourism Creative District.

We chose a 91 coffee shop to drink afternoon tea and eat cake, sit by the window and watch the ripples of the green river, and live in a rare and leisurely wasted time.

At the foot of Yushan Mountain and on the bank of Shanghu Lake, there have been records of Hudian Dragon Boat Festival held since the Song Dynasty, and it has a history of more than 1000 years. Since 1995, Hudian has held private dragon boat parades twice a year. Once on March 20th, and once on the third day of August. So far, it has gone through more than 20 years of inheritance and development. It is full of greenery, beautiful scenery, lake water and picturesque scenery.

There is also a Hudian Dragon Boat Hall here. In the Dragon Boat Hall covering an area of more than 800 square meters, there are 8 exhibition areas, which respectively display a summary of the origin of the dragon boat, the legend of the King Li, the grand parade, intangible cultural heritage, wonderful scenes of racing, customs and ceremonies, and craftsmanship inheritance and beautiful memories are the display windows of the "Hudian Dragon Boat".

During this trip to Changshu, I chose Yujian Tang House with the ancient charm of Jiangnan. It is located at No. 43 Xiannan Street in the Urban area. It is a private garden of Tang Yikui, a native of Guangxu during the Qing Dynasty, covering an area of 3000 square meters.

The classical atmosphere here really gives me the feeling of traveling through. The white walls, black tiles, pavilions and pavilions exude the charm of Jiangnan everywhere.

Especially when listening to Kunqu Opera, it seems like a dream, and I hope time will pass slowly...

When I walked into my room, I found that the decoration here was a mixture of modernity and modernity with fashionable elements, making it feel particularly comfortable.

In order to better protect this old house, we did not go too far to open more rooms. We tried our best to restore the boat, hexagonal pavilion, and maintain ancient and famous trees. There are a total of 20 characteristic rooms, specially designed with the themes of "forest","shadow","leisure", etc., each room is different.

The breakfast here is also very exquisite, with rich dishes and nutritious combinations.

Dinner was also delicious. Double-flavored river and lake shrimp, steamed white shredded white, Dongxiang steamed four delicacies, fragrant cured green wheat and dried chicken head rice, braised grassland beef with skin, etc.

In Changshu Yushan Cultural Tourism Resort, another place I particularly like is Gongwang·Mazhai. The Ma Zhai, located at No. 85 Shangtang Street, was built in the late Qing Dynasty and the early Republic of China. It has a history of more than a hundred years. The restored horse house has been infused with modern design while retaining the original Soviet-style courtyard.

It rained that day. I listened to the sound of raindrops falling and watched the rain fall from the black tiles. It was pattering. Against the background of the white wall, it looked like a painting or a movie.
