When you come to the ancient town, if you have time, you must stay here for a night to see the ancient town with white walls and blue tiles in the day and the charm of the ancient town in the night. Because it was Sunday, the night in the ancient town was particularly quiet, and most tourists left to prepare for tomorrow's work. There are only the indigenous people living here in the ancient town. I had dinner on Zhuxing Street and then wandered around the ancient town casually. Tailai Bridge outlined in the light.
Tailai Bridge overlooks the Zhongchuan Bridge covered with lanterns.
View the scenery along the river from Zhongchuan Bridge. The houses on the street are reflected on the water on the river bank, with various lights and shadows, forming a visual space completely different from the day.
The shops on Zhongchuan Road are brightly lit. Like most ancient towns, there are many such shops in Tongli that sell cloth clothes and cheongsam. It seems that only cloth cheongsam can best match the style of the ancient town.
Mingqing Street in Tongli was just hurried by during the day and did not enter and take a closer look. This place becomes a good place for me to digest my digestion after dinner in the evening. Follow Mashiban Road and go deep into Ming and Qing Street. Most of the buildings on both sides of Ming and Qing Street were built in the Ming and Qing Dynasties, maintaining their original architectural style. Various small flags with the name of the store on them fluttered over the ancient street, giving people a feeling of ancient style coming to their faces.
There are rows of tasteful shops on the ancient street. Some sell local specialties, some are filled with various calligraphy, painting and calligraphy treasures, some hang various exquisite handicrafts, and some are making and selling various delicious food.
There is also a century-old store on Ming and Qing Street-Shidetang. The Soviet-style brick carving "Tongli Prosperity Picture" decorates the entire facade, showing the prosperity and cultural market scene of Tongli in ancient times, and is magnificent.
Shidetang was built during the Daoguang period of the Qing Dynasty. After its completion, it was the old residence of the Cao family and was named after the inheritance of the virtues of our ancestors from generation to generation.
The ancient furniture in Shidetang is decorated silently on the bustling Ming and Qing streets, waiting for the destined person, as if telling the story here.
The courtyard of the carved building of Shidetang is deep.
The "Carved Building" is tall, the halls are wide, the furnishings are elegant, and the characters are richly carved and lifelike. In front of the gate building, there are five big blue characters hanging on the door plaque of Shide Hall-"Tongli Carved Building".
The carved building adopts the form of a step-by-step building to form a Zouma building. The carved building integrates brick carving and wood carving, fully demonstrating the elegant interior style of Jiangnan Soviet-style buildings.
The carved window lattice and the exquisite wood carvings are lifelike.
I didn't expect that there would be deep courtyards entering and entering again, and the brick gate building was majestic and solemn. The ancient atmosphere exudes from the brick gate building and through the gaps of bluestone to reveal the stories and memories of the water town it collects.
The current Shidetang has been given a modern atmosphere.
Shidetang is intertwined with reality and dreams, and is worldly and unworldly.
Looking at this map, you will know that Ming and Qing Street is a food street. The street is built with the theme of intangible cultural heritage in the Ming and Qing Dynasties. We wandered among the carved beams and painted buildings of Shidetang, stepping on mottled footsteps and blowing through the wind.
Out of Ming and Qing Street, I walked along the water's edge, allowing my leisurely footsteps to walk on Mashi Road. Arriving at the Third Bridge, all three bridges were lit up at night.
The lights at night are quite gorgeous, completely different from the elegance of the small bridges and flowing water during the day.
However, there are no diners at the food stalls on both sides of the river bank. It must be related to the epidemic! The normalization of the COVID-19 epidemic has caused many changes in the way and model of tourism.
Every bridge in Tongli is decorated with lights, giving the simple bridge a modern feel.
Bridges cross the river, connecting Tongli into a dream network in the water town. The lights exude a different charm.
The red lanterns along the street twinkle very artistic.
Tourists are scarce, the light is soft and gentle, and they are not disturbed. They can capture tranquility, simplicity and indifference.
The shops and houses standing against the water all emit warm lights, and the lights are reflected in the water, full of agility.
The Tongli of the night is subtle and hazy.
The old houses are decorated with red lanterns, and there are creative logos outlined by the lights. The warm creative shops make the old street full of modernity and deeply attract young people.
On the night of early spring in March, walking in Tongli's Shiban Lane, beside the small river, the warmth and tranquility of the entire Tongli Ancient Town that has been honed in the wind, rain and years are all heard by the pattering footsteps on the Qingshiban Road.
The ancient neighborhoods and ancient streets under the night have white walls and black tiles, and the water, sound and air all blend with ancient charm. Inadvertently seeing a woman dressed in Han clothes in front of the large house makes people feel like traveling through.
Passing by a large house-Jiayintang. This is the mansion we will visit tomorrow. It turns out that it is not far from our inn. After identifying the location, we know how to walk tomorrow.
Standing on the bridge and watching the night view of the river bank, a photo was taken of the same scene in the afternoon. The lanterns on one side of the river bank are long, round, hexagonal and octagonal, fluttering in the evening breeze, giving the ancient town a cinnabar lip color.
This is the different scenery during day and night. Which model do you prefer?
Back on Zhuxing Street where the inn is located, I can see the lights of the inn on from afar, summoning me to go back. Along the way, you can still see pedestrians on Ming and Qing Street and Zhuxing Street. Generally speaking, the night and day in the ancient town are completely different.
We are used to seeing the ancient town during the day, but we rarely stay here at night. We don't know that the light of the day disappears, and when everything is shrouded in the faint night, its breathing is gentle and particularly gentle. Stay the night in Tongli and experience the early morning in its ancient town. Watch it 24 hours a day, observe the residents of Tongli get up in the morning, eat breakfast, listen to the beautiful voice of mothers calling their children, and listen to the voices of neighbors greeting. Only the original picture of Tongli life allows you to experience the real Tongli, the living Tongli ancient town.
You have realized that the ancient town is a complete ancient town by day and night.
