There is heaven above, and Suzhou and Hangzhou below. The fireworks in Gusu City exude an elegant and classical atmosphere in its gardens, while the small bridges exude the gentleness of Jiangnan women.
Suzhou has a completely different urban temperament from Hangzhou, and in comparison, Suzhou has a more Jiangnan charm. Suzhou, born by the water, has a very relaxed pace of life. In the quiet night, listening to a small tune and strolling on the streets, one can personally experience the real atmosphere of life and the full sense of happiness.
That's why I want to explore Suzhou. Although life is tough, I keep moving forward and unlocking one mysterious and charming city after another by checking in. This is an addictive thing. Don't believe it, why don't you give it a try?

A city
What attracts me the most
Never a historical attraction or commercial center
But it's the vegetable market
——Chen Xiaoqing, Chief Director of "China on the Tongue"

Walk straight along Dinghui Temple Lane, bypass the Guantaiwei Bridge next to Ye Family Lane, and you will reach Shuangta Market. Here, one can collide with the once strong urban atmosphere of Gusu City. This internet famous market's Twin Towers Restaurant is located in the central area of Suzhou Ancient City, adjacent to Pingjiang Road and Guanqian Street.

The vegetable market in a city can truly reflect the city's level and the warmth of its people.
Now Shuangta City is integrated as a place for young people to pursue fashion. Its earthly pyrotechnic atmosphere carries the creative aesthetics of the city. After the transformation of Shuangta Market, it shows us a picture of human history and the vitality of the family. The internal and external designs have been comprehensively upgraded, and the entire market has been revitalized. However, what is still felt is the familiar shouting and lively atmosphere of the market, bringing the most familiar human fireworks to the people.

After strolling around for a few times, I found that this clean and tidy vegetable market not only meets the daily needs of Suzhou residents, but also incorporates cultural and artistic cafes, fruit shops, books and magazines, and flower shops that still retain the traditional skills of convenience, such as matching keys, cutting and repairing clothes. This next major transformation has transformed Shuangta Market from the previous ordinary vegetable market to a new popular check-in point in Suzhou.

When I went, it was the weekend and the market was bustling with people. Local residents come to purchase ingredients, while the rest are young and trendy men and women who take photos in various corners of the Twin Towers Restaurant. This place has become one of the must visit places in Suzhou~

Looking at the news introduction, we have invited a young creative team from Suzhou to curate the art of Shuangta Market.

Whether it's appearance, innovation, or service, it's all impressive because besides the overall trendy exterior design, the interior design is also quite interesting. For example, the street vendors can be seen everywhere in the cafeteria with human shaped signs transformed from famous paintings, and there is a cafeteria laboratory across from it.

The Shuangta Market reopened on December 17, 2019, and even though it was renovated, the booth fees and dish prices remained the same as before! It is highly commendable that prices will not increase for no reason just because they have been renovated!

In prominent places on the market, copywriting about food and life has been posted, encouraging everyone to enter the market and search for the joy and satisfaction brought by food while satisfying their appetite. They can obtain spiritual comfort from food, store nutrients for every possible moment of frustration, and obtain tangible happiness in every bite of food.

Only those who have truly visited the Twin Towers can deeply appreciate that the atmosphere of human fireworks can also be integrated with art. Such a perfect aesthetic concept has been implemented in the Twin Towers Market, and now it has become a new popular check-in spot in Suzhou. It attracts not only local residents, but also many tourists to come and explore!
The logo of Shuangta Market, almost everyone who comes here will take a photo here, and it has to be said that they have to queue up to get it.

Shuangta Market is different from ordinary markets in that it integrates Suzhou folk specialty snacks, 24-hour bookstores, and Senyan Cafe into the market, attracting people of different ages to come. In addition, there are a series of cultural and creative peripherals such as the food calendar, postcards, daily report of the market, refrigerator stickers, aprons, etc. at the Twin Towers Market to convey the unique aesthetic concept of the market to everyone.

Another part of the market is the snack square, which can be considered as a scene of various local Soviet style snacks. At first glance, it can only be described as overcrowded. I bought a Suzhou style pancake from a company and waited for about 20-30 minutes. As it was freshly made, I could only make a few in one pot, so I personally felt that the speed was a bit slow. However, everyone patiently waited in line. The taste was not bad, and it was worth waiting for. Personally, it has been sugar resistant for some time, and the taste is slightly sweeter.

Strolling the market together, from the lush years to the gray hair, this sentence is so simple and unadorned, yet it is also enviable, after all, not everyone can do it this way.

I really like this humanoid sign. Da Ju Hu Zi sells Da Zhu Hu Zi, which is a very vivid and appropriate description~

The seafood and fish products sold here are quite fresh, and there is a constant stream of people coming and going to buy them.

Strolling around the market, enjoying delicious food, and even taking a break at a coffee shop when tired. If you are someone who loves reading, street corner bookstores can feed your spiritual world. The strong fireworks atmosphere is infused with a lot of cultural and aesthetic elements, and the designer has perfectly integrated the ancient digital system "Suzhou Code" into the design of the Twin Towers Logo, allowing the new Twin Towers Market to deeply conceal its historical heritage and reveal a rich traditional culture.

Pingjiang Story | Enjoying a Moment of Slow Time on Pingjiang Road

Ticket: Free
traffic
Subway: Get off Line 1 at Xiangmen Station or Linton Road Station and walk 300 meters to reach the southern end of Pingjiang Road
Bus: Take bus 301 or 305 and get off at Pingjiang Road Station
Opening hours: all day

During the Song Dynasty, Suzhou was known as "Pingjiang", which is the origin of the name Pingjiang Road. Pingjiang Road is a historic old street in Suzhou, a small road along the river named Pingjiang River. The Pingjiang Road Historical Block is the most well preserved area of the ancient city of Suzhou to date, which can be called a microcosm of the ancient city. It still maintains infinite vitality and has attracted countless domestic and foreign tourists.

When you go to Gusu, everyone sleeps by the river. The Forbidden City has less idle land and more water lanes and small bridges. This is a beautiful sentence used to describe Suzhou.

Pingjiang Road can satisfy all your fantasies about the water town of Jiangnan, and has been living in people's hearts for a long time.
If you come to Suzhou, which has a unique Jiangnan style, you must visit a historic district. I like the tranquility and distance from the hustle and bustle of the city. On ordinary days, all the small details are beautiful. You need to walk slowly here, calm down and enjoy the slow time in the present.

There are various shops here that sell local specialties. If you are interested, you can take a look and learn about Suzhou stories.

It is best to avoid holidays when coming to Pingjiang Road, as it can avoid crowded scenes. We passed in the morning, and there were fewer people in the morning. The air was also relatively fresh, so we could pass in the afternoon. This way, when it gets dark, we can enjoy the night view, which is also quite beautiful~

The surrounding area of Pingjiang Road Historical Block is a typical Jiangnan scenery with small bridges and flowing water. The old houses in the old block are side by side with the river, and there are many stone tables, bridges, and chairs along the way. If you are tired of strolling, you can also sit down and take a nap. The old houses on the roadside have turned into rows of shops, with shops, cafes, homestays, and the famous Cat City in the Sky. Strolling around, buying, eating, and eating, the experience of walking down the road is still very good.

I really like this photo, "Sunshine in the Alley". In the alley, you can also find the warm winter sun and the petty bourgeois style coffee shop you want.

I don't know when it started, but now almost all the ancient towns and streets have become a little fresh style. The small refreshing shops on Pingjiang Road are mostly composed of fresh and refined shops such as Cat's Sky City, literary homestays, and flavorful coffee shops. The incredibly warm sunshine in the afternoon sprinkles on the gaps between the willow leaves by the river, with a gentle breeze brushing through. Coupled with the ancient street buildings in front of us, aside from the commercial blocks, what we see in front of us is what a water town in Jiangnan should look like.

Walking through a small alleyway, I stumbled upon this corner. While writing my travelogue, I realized that my bicycle was a mural.... Do you think it looks like a mural~~~

West Lake has West Lake Longjing tea, Kaihua has Longding tea, Anji has Anji white tea, and Suzhou has the famous Chinese tea Biluochun.

Biluochun is a traditional Chinese famous tea and one of the top ten famous teas in China. It belongs to the green tea category and has a history of over 1000 years. Biluochun is also called "Biluochun of Dongting" because it is produced in the east Dongting Mountain and west Dongting Mountain (now Wuzhong District of Suzhou) of the Taihu Lake Lake, Wu County, Suzhou City, Jiangsu Province.
All the atmosphere here is filled with the charm of a water town in Jiangnan. If you want to taste the local Su style tea house, it can be refreshing because this is the birthplace of Biluochun. Smelling the fragrance of sweet tea, sitting by the river, looking out the window, taking a look at the flowing water of the small bridge, observing the bustling flow of people, in a moment, only here can one find something.

I really like the simple streets and alleys here, with an antique flavor. From the southern end of the street, I unconsciously walked to the other end. It's been a long time since I wandered so calmly without thinking. In the moment, a long lost sense of reality surged in front of me, inexplicably happy.

On this stone bridge, an old man sat alone on it basking in the sun, watching the surging crowds and the bustling world. The scene before me should have also sparked a lot of thoughts.

In fact, everyone is an independent individual. There is no one who is the same as himself in the world, so he is doomed to be lonely. Growing up with the company of parents from a young age, finding a partner to marry in adulthood, and eventually reaching old age, there will always be one who leaves first, leaving behind the lonely self. Therefore, loving oneself has become a compulsory course in this life. Only by learning to love oneself more can we give more love to others when we meet them again, and spending a period of time together is also precious.

Here, you can satisfy your shopping desire and also become a photographer. Along the way, besides buying, eating, and eating, you can also take photos non-stop because the scenery is so beautiful.

Choosing to travel in the depths of winter also requires great courage, as winter is the laziest season for people. Fortunately, this winter is not particularly cold, and tourists are also in small groups. Compared to the bustling holidays, the usual Pingjiang Road truly showcases the old foundation of Jiangnan.

A small bookstore called "Cat's Sky City" was born on Pingjiang Road in the ancient city of Suzhou in Jiangnan. The bookstore is very small, with only four small tables and 500 books for sale. However, its persistence in originality and love for illustrations gradually infected everyone.

A bookstore warms a city. The products of "Maokong" are all based on their own designs and adhere to their own preferences. I think most of the reasons for liking them are probably because you can send postcards, gifts to your friends, or yourself on selected days. "Sending to the future" is Maokong's patent.

"Maokong" focuses on the refreshing route, and all products are very fresh and refined, making people love them when they see them.

The postcard exhibition area has also invisibly formed a beautiful corner.

Various nostalgic small speakers and ornaments make people feel the urge to take them all home and hide them.

This internet famous bookstore also follows the local customs vividly, and its decoration style is reminiscent of Pingjiang Road.

The Cat's Sky City Concept Bookstore on Pingjiang Road is the most authentic and authentic one I have ever experienced in the Cat Sky. The appearance style of the bookstore is great, with its wooden structure and antique charm, fully integrated into the life of Pingjiang Road. The interior decoration is also full of artistic sense, especially on the roof of the second floor, which is filled with books and is very spectacular.

Picked up a postcard of the iconic building on Pingjiang Road~

There is a large reading and resting area inside, which is very quiet. Everyone is crowded outside, and very few people come in to sit down and focus on reading.

I think everyone will love such a cute dragon cat.

The postcard area is so large that you can choose the postcard you want to send. This is a sought after place for literary and artistic youth. In addition to selling some selected books, there are also a plethora of unique postcards and stamps with interesting and beautiful small items.

I found a row of coffee travel bags at the cashier, which is so thoughtful and brings benefits to coffee enthusiasts. Even reading books in the bookstore allows me to drink coffee safely.

In addition to these literary and artistic small shops, there are also many popular snack shops on Pingjiang Road. The collection of snacks will be specifically introduced in the last chapter~~~

Charming Su Bo | One of the most popular city museums

Suzhou Museum
Opening hours: 9:00-17:00 every Tuesday to Sunday (entry is closed at 16:00)
Ticket: Free
Address: No. 204 Northeast Street, Suzhou City

Suzhou Museum was established in 1960 and is a local historical and artistic museum. The museum is located at the site of the residence of Prince Li Xiucheng, the loyal king of the Taiping Heavenly Kingdom, and is a national key cultural relic protection unit. The new building was completed in October 2006, designed by the renowned architect I.M. Pei.

This is opposite the Su Bo Gate, where Su style buildings stand, as if reminding tourists as soon as they leave that this is Suzhou.
When the museum closes on Monday, you need to make an appointment on the official website of Suzhou Museum, the official account and the official account of Suzhou Tourism at least 7 days in advance. I made an appointment on the official account of Suzhou Museum. After making an appointment, you can queue up directly to enter. It is very difficult to enter without making an appointment because there are so many people.
This time, it was a sudden idea to list Su Bo as a must visit place, deeply attracted by Su Bo's architectural design style, and wanted to visually experience the beauty of the building on site.

This is the entrance to Su Bo's gate. Usually, people queue up to enter with their ID card after making an appointment. You don't have to wait in line for too long to get in, and you also have to queue up for appointments. There were too many people, and on the same day, I found a girl who didn't make an appointment and was not allowed in, so I left.

The designer is the renowned world-class architect I.M. Pei. Just looking at the designer is enough to catch the eye of too many enthusiasts in the construction industry, as well as me, a fan of pseudo art. The Soviet style sentiment of green tiles and white walls, and the garden landscape composed of artificial stone and rockery components, create a vivid painting in such harmony, allowing tourists to immerse themselves in the painting and experience the master's exquisite works, as if all of this is fake. It's simply amazing.

I believe everyone is attracted by the name, and the entire museum complex reflects the picturesque scenery of Jiangnan in its modern collection design. It is a comprehensive museum that combines modern venues, ancient architecture, and innovative landscape architecture. You deserve to have it.

I am someone who particularly enjoys minimalist styles, and the exhibition area here is simply my favorite.

Su Bo really didn't disappoint. He was neighbors of the Loyal Prince's Mansion, and next to them were Humble Administrator's Garden, Lion Grove, and Lingering Garden. The overall style of Su Bo is designed with gray tiles and white walls, which is enough to show a low profile. The excellent garden art combined with modern style fusion makes viewers extremely comfortable and pleasing to the eye.

Tourists who come here almost always take photos for a while, feeling like they are in a splashed ink landscape painting, wanting to capture a minimalist and sophisticated feel so easy.

There are QR code explanations in the museum, which are clear and focused. Almost young people don't need to explain hahaha and travel on their own.

My favorite thing of the day is dusk. Everything under the sunset is so simple, peaceful, and beautiful. Everything is frozen and eternal.
I really like this sentence, a simple sentence that simplifies the complexity of life so pure and beautiful.

I like this scene, which makes me truly admire the designer. In the process of symmetrical beauty, it adds a unique scenery outside the window. The persimmon tree outside the window is really unclear whether it is real or an artwork, and there are scattered persimmons on the ground that have fallen and broken.

Just like seeing hope, unwilling to leave, stopped for a long time.

Later, as I walked around, I realized that the entire museum had these types of windows, which corresponded to different scenes. Everyone also loves this special window and keeps taking photos.

The museum is very large, with several floors, each displaying different exhibits, including the Porcelain Museum, Two Pagoda Treasure Museum, Crafts Museum, Ming and Qing Calligraphy and Painting Museum, etc.

There is also an art store that sells Su Bo's peripheral products. Let's take a look at what they have below?

All the items here showcase the Suzhou craftsmanship and are symbols of Suzhou's local culture.

Due to the slightly higher price, I didn't buy it and just strolled around before coming out. There is a wide variety of things inside, and if you are interested, you can still buy them, after all, Suzhou's handicrafts are still the most authentic locally purchased.

Qili Mountain Pond | Enjoy the charm of Jiangnan water town in Qili Mountain Pond

Ticket: Free
Opening hours: all day
Transportation:
Subway: Take Line 2 to Exit 4 of Shantang Street Station and walk 200 meters.

Although only one tenth of the Qili Mountain Pond, the 360m long Shantang Old Street is the essence of Shantang, which is called the epitome of old Suzhou and the window of Wu culture.

During the period when I happened to go, the outskirts of Shantang Street were undergoing renovation, but there were still quite a few people, which did not affect the tourists' enjoyment at all~

During the day, Shantang Street is a bustling ancient street and town, with good photography. However, at night, the night scenery is breathtaking, and you can choose to take a boat trip. It is said that there is also a stage performance at night. The brightly lit streets at night attract many photography enthusiasts to come here to showcase their skills.

The folk song sings, "There is heaven above, and Suzhou and Hangzhou below. Hangzhou has West Lake, and Suzhou has mountains and ponds. These two great places offer endless beautiful scenery."

Shantang Street is located in the northwest of the ancient city of Suzhou, Jiangsu Province. It stretches from Changmen, a "first-class and second-class prosperous and charming place" in the mortal world, to Huqiu, the "number one scenic spot in Wuzhong" in the west. With a total length of about 3600 meters, it is approximately 7 li, hence the name "Seven Li Shantang to Huqiu".

The bluestone slab road in the ancient street is very valuable for use. If you are traveling on rainy days, you can use the scattered rainwater on the bluestone slab to take soulful photos of the pedestrians walking along the street.

The white walls and gray tiles here are very popular, combined with various green plants, which are fresh, elegant, and have a taste. The wooden windows on the white walls, rows of distinctive shops, and brightly lit bars are all important components of the Yanyu Jiangnan City, visible in every corner. The big red lantern hangs high, reflecting the flowing water of the small bridge, representing a typical Suzhou water alley.

Shantang Street is one of the scenic spots that can reflect the characteristics of Suzhou. Although it is now quite commercialized and filled with shops, almost all the indigenous people no longer live here, the things sold here are still very unique to Suzhou. There are many food shops, and the prices are also relatively normal. If you are interested, you can also take a boat ride on the nearby river to experience the flavor of Jiangnan water town.

In the characteristic commercial street of Shantang Street, there are many shops here, and of course, there are also a lot of people. On the small bridge and on the crowded road, it is important to pay attention to foot safety. Because there were many visitors this time and very few photos were taken, it was purely a stroll.

The characteristics of numerous rivers and bridges on Shantang Street fully reflect the street and alley characteristics of Suzhou, a water city. The river runs parallel and stretches for seven miles to Huqiu. Most of the ancient buildings along the street in Shantang are from the late Qing Dynasty and the Republic of China period, forming a group of buildings with several entrances and exits, with the vertical being the entrance and the horizontal being the entrance.

This place was once referred to by Cao Xueqin in the first chapter of "Dream of the Red Chamber" as "the most prosperous and charming place in the world of the first and second class" in the Changmen and Shantang areas.

Photo Tip:
If you want to take photos that are not purely tourist photos, remember to find ways to avoid crowds. You can go to places with fewer people or try different angles, which may bring unexpected surprises!

Soviet style homestay | Meeting Japanese style homestay at Beisi Pagoda - Love Letter

Location: No. 88 Heyan Street

The inspirational chicken soup article lures you to live elsewhere all day long, but you cannot step forward due to various reasons.
If someone opens a door and waits for you in every city you reach when you arrive, they may have a slight sense of familiarity with this unfamiliar city. On the journey, the advantages of homestays have always attracted me, especially those that prefer Japanese fresh styles, compared to those vacation hotels that are identical and lack a sense of familiarity.

You can truly feel that you have moved into another home on your journey, and the warmth that home can bring you, all of which are enough to satisfy you here. I like staying in homestays every time I travel because they provide me with a real experience: I am no longer a wandering traveler, but a traveler with a home in all corners of the world.

Of course, when going to Suzhou, you must live with pink walls and black tiles, and experience the Suzhou style life in Gusu City. I made a reservation for a homestay at Tujia in advance. As a Tujia Meijuku, my requirements for homestays are quite high. After choosing, I ultimately chose my beloved Japanese style homestay.

The Love Letter is located near the North Temple Pagoda in the central area of Suzhou Ancient City, which is super close to Suzhou Museum, Humble Administrator's Garden, Lion Grove, Pingjiang Historical and Cultural District, and Guanqian Street, just a walk away. It's 100 meters away from the subway entrance of Beisi Pagoda, and it's very convenient to go anywhere.

This is the lobby on the first floor of a homestay, not very large, but full of a strong sense of design, giving people an extremely comfortable feeling.

This bar counter can serve breakfast, coffee, drinks, etc. It can be seen that the boss is a person who understands aesthetics very well. Coincidentally, it is a decoration style that I also like. I am very happy to have chosen a good accommodation this time and I am very satisfied.

A homestay is a traditional residential area hidden along the river in a unique Su style street. It has a brick and wood structure, pink walls and black tiles, and retains the original appearance of the old house. The owner transformed the entire house into a homestay, adding a modern and minimalist Japanese style design during the renovation, allowing tenants to truly experience Su style folk culture and down-to-earth market life. If you come to Suzhou, you will become a Suzhou native.

The Love Letter Homestay has two floors, with an outdoor balcony outside the room. The balcony is lit at night, which is particularly charming. You can also bask in the sun during the day and enjoy the comfort brought by the sunset. Not far from here is the authentic cuisine of Guanqian Street, which allows you to taste all the delicious food in Suzhou city right away.

The room is equipped with a large white bathtub, which complements the color scheme of the room. If you add a touch of elegance, light aromatherapy candles, take a hot bath to relieve the fatigue of the day (free bath salt), the bedding fabric on the bed is slippery, probably made of real silk. After soaking, lie on a loose and soft big bed, it's not too comfortable. The room design has a bit of Japanese style flavor, with sliding doors separating the bathroom from the room, and the windows are the kind of Soviet style wooden windows that push outward, which is very stylish. There is also a radiator in the room that is similar to those found in the north, and there are noise proof earplugs, flower tea, disposable facial wipes, and so on in the drawer. It's really thoughtful!

Travelers who have stayed at this homestay on the Tujia app have commented that the owner is a young photographer. He opened this homestay because of his personal hobby, and deep down he envies it, turning his hobby into a job.

The first floor is his office area and also the coffee and beverage area. There are several hangers hanging all kinds of new clothes next to the stairs, which are provided for tenants in need. You can take photos of the style you want, and even provide shoes, various beautiful single shoes. The most important thing is that before checking in, the boss proactively contacted me and even asked if I had brought an umbrella when it happened to rain. All the details made me feel like welcoming my family, super heartwarming.

I couldn't help but love my favorite homestay and couldn't help but choose a set of clothes in the store and take a few photos to deceive. The following is evidence~~

The next morning, the sun appeared awesome. The sun shone through the window and hit the white wall. I felt that it was not cold at all~

She made a few seductive and awkward movements, which made me feel a bit embarrassed when I looked at the photos. Hahaha~~~
However, this homestay is really good. If you like something similar, you can book it on the Tujia app. I received a newcomer's red envelope at that time, which was quite cost-effective~

Suzhou Flavor | Taste Suzhou style cuisine in Suzhou

In China's unique snack culture, Suzhou snacks are recorded as one of the four major local snacks. The small, exquisite, and sweet Suzhou snacks can make people miss them deeply.

Since ancient times, this place in Suzhou has been relatively prosperous. With abundant granaries, there is no need to worry about how to eat enough. As a result, people began to pay attention to the appearance of food.

When you come to Suzhou, you don't want to let down the good time here. The unforgettable taste in memory is roughly the countless delicious dishes in Suzhou city.

Take you to search for the flavor of the old Suzhou new brand - Peach Blossom Spring, smell the fragrance in your dreams and find the taste.

"Peach Blossom Spring" comes from Tao Yuanming's article "Peach Blossom Spring Record" in the Eastern Jin Dynasty of China. The beautiful dream of the Peach Blossom Spring presented by Tao Yuanming in the article has long become the most beautiful and peaceful utopia in the minds of Chinese people in ancient and modern times. As a catering brand, "Peach Blossom Spring Chronicles" restores the deliciousness that belongs to people's memories of various regions through food, inspiring foreign tourists to smell the fragrance and taste in their dreams.

This store is a chain store. We went to the one on the square opposite the South Bus Station. The dishes are very local. Eight Immortals Wonton, meat floss and soy sauce bone, soft heart chicken head rice, red bean paste sugar Congee, Laopingjiang ripe drunk crab, etc. When tasting, we are always looking for the unforgettable taste in our memory

"Noodle dragged pork ribs" Try the signature noodle dragged pork ribs in the store. They are crispy on the outside and tender on the inside, and the taste is quite good
"Red Bean Paste Little Balls" Red Bean Yuanxiao (Filled round balls made of glutinous rice-flour for Lantern Festival) is a must for me to eat when I go to Nanjing and Suzhou. The taste of this restaurant is not as good as that of Nanjing food stalls.
The "Eight Immortals Crispy Cake" is pretty good. It's fried very crispy and the filling feels like a dumpling filling

Let's talk about the snacks in Shuangta Market. After eating and drinking at Taohuayuanji, I took a taxi to Shuangta Market and bought a Didi for over ten yuan, which is quite close. In this situation, the stomach is in a full stomach state, and besides taking some photos, I couldn't help but go to the most popular team to buy plum blossom cake.
Besides plum blossom cake, there is also a type of crabapple cake, but the best-selling one is plum blossom cake, and I'm not sure why. It is wrapped in a lot of bean paste, and overall, besides being very sweet and greasy, there is nothing else. You can also give it a try.

There are other snacks at Shuangta Market, such as stir fried buns and soup filled buns, all with Suzhou flavor and a bit sweet. There are also osmanthus red bean balls, which are representative of sweetness. There is also bean curd jelly served with sauce, which is absolutely salty. If you want to add sugar and eat sweet food, you can do it.

I walked through Guanqian Street and had soup filled fried buns and Suzhou specialty fermented chicken head rice. It must be said that my first attempt at chicken head rice was very satisfying. The taste is neither soft nor hard, very chewy, I like it. However, chicken head rice is very expensive, at 18 yuan per serving, and there is only a small amount inside.

On Pingjiang Road, you can feel suspicious about life because there are very famous snack shops along the way.

For example: Chicken Feet Corner, specialized in selling braised meat, braised chicken feet and duck intestines are so delicious that they are indescribable;

Wei Ji Osmanthus Cake costs 15 yuan and 6 pieces. At first, I was afraid it might not be delicious, so I only bought half of it. I found it to be pretty good, with a sweet Guihua flavor and an unexpected surprise~

I thought this egg cake was the kind I used to eat at school, but it was not. It was more like an egg cake. I was a little disappointed and ate it.

I bought a cup of snow pear soup in Jieyuan Shaobing (Baked cake in griddle). It was warm and sweet. It tasted good. Although it was super large, I was thirsty and finished soon.

Traveling without food is not perfect. Suzhou is famous not only for its natural scenery and cultural landscape, but also for its countless unique snacks. Strolling leisurely on the stone brick road, what may stop you from moving forward may not be the breathtaking scenery, but more likely is the delicious food that wafts fragrance and makes people drool tempting.

Write at the end

The significance of my imagined travel
For me, it means it can help me end the past and start the future.
It's not about how many spoils were won, how many beautiful photos were taken, or how many scenic spots were checked in during this journey
But rather, I tried something I had never tried before, experienced a moment that never made my heart beat faster, and whether I had discovered another version of myself
Leaving familiar places in life and returning with a different mindset
This is my original intention to step into the world and constantly explore and understand myself through walking.
