★ Tourist location: Lingyan Mountain, Suzhou
I haven't traveled far for a long time. Although Suzhou is not too far away, I wanted to climb a mountain and didn't want to walk too far or climb too high. It happened that there were many places to eat in Mudu, so I simply chose Lingyan Mountain. Although I have climbed it, the biggest advantage of this mountain is its moderate height.
There is more time this time. If we can endure the hunger, the time reserved will be longer. Therefore, we leisurely walked into the gate of the scenic area.
There is a small pond in front of you, surrounded by some stream rocks, stacked irregularly. This is also a way of landscaping in Jiangnan gardens. Across the pond are groups of buildings, but they all seem to be newly built. We chose the road to the right. It seemed that no one was walking this way. It looked very quiet.
The buildings here are not dense, and the Lingyan Mountain Pavilion is still closed. Although the appearance is not big, the sign outside makes people feel that there is a lot of money inside. In addition to the authentic "Lingyan Mountain Hall" explaining the name of the building, it is also the "Former Residence of Bi Yuan","Overseas Chinese Cultural Exchange Base in Jiangsu Province","Zhou Shixin Art Museum","Suzhou City Overseas Chinese Painting and Calligraphy Institute" and "Yanshan Yaji Cultural Base."
For these titles, I am only interested in Bi Yuan, a famous scholar in the Qing Dynasty. I really didn't know that he once lived in the foothills of Lingyan. Bi Yuan, whose word is Qi Heng, and whose word is Qiu Fan, calls himself a native of Lingyan Mountain. He was born in Zhenyang, which is today's Taicang City. He lost his father when he was a child and went to Lingyan Mountain in Suzhou to learn from Shen Deqian. In the twenty-fifth year of Qianlong, he was awarded the top prize in high school and was awarded to the Hanlin Academy in accordance with regulations. He has served successively as a bachelor's degree and the son of Prince Zuo Shuizi, and has been awarded the title of Gongqin Jie Daodai in Gansu, Anli Daodai, Shaanxi Justice Commissioner, Shaanxi Governor, Henan Governor, and Huguang Governor. Emperor Jiaqing ascended the throne and was awarded a hereditary duty of Qingche Duwei. He died of illness in the second year of Jiaqing at the age of sixty-seven. He was buried at the northeastern foot of Lingyan Mountain and posthumously presented to the Crown Prince Taibao. Emperor Qianlong died, and Bi Yuan was implicated in the Hekun case and was convicted of his family's confiscation.
Unfortunately, although I wanted to go in and have a look, the door was locked. But now it should be just the old site, not the former residence. Looking at the signs hanging outside, there are probably several locations inside. I came out and saw a plum tree blooming very brightly, but none of the trees here had yet to grow, and it might not have been planted for a long time.
Walking forward, there was a square pavilion with a unique opening on the back. The pavilion was called "Keai", but I looked and looked, but I couldn't see where I could look.
At the end, there is a small six-corner pavilion. This pavilion is relatively normal. The pavilion is called "Yishan" and it is indeed tightly leaning against the end of the mountain. There is no road from here. In addition to looking at Banpo Mountain, you can only look at the buildings outside the scenic area. But because the terrain is relatively low, only tall buildings can be seen.
Walking back a short way, there is a mountain road that leads to Lingyan Mountain. We don't want to go back the way we came. Maybe we can find another mountain climbing path. The slope of this road is very gentle, and I didn't even encounter a single tourist along the way. There are granite stone walls on one side of the mountain road, and there are actually two stones in the forest: "Shengluo" and "Wolong". In fact, they are not so regular stones. Even if you look at the names of the stones, you can't imagine the image at all. There are also Moyan rocks on the rock wall next to it, but some are written so beautifully that you can't guess it. There is also a signed piece. It is a stone carving from the Republic of China, which "often follows Buddhism."
Lingyan Mountain is a granite mountain. There are several mountains in the southwest suburbs of Suzhou, including Lingyan Mountain, Tianping Mountain, Shishan Mountain, Hengshan Mountain, Jinshan, Jiaoshan Mountain, Tianchi Mountain, Gaojingshan and other places. The total rock mass area is 63.5 square kilometers, and the exposed area is about 110,000 square kilometers. Suzhou granite is as famous as Anhui Huangshan granite, and the stone collected is commonly known as Jinshan Stone. The stone materials used in Nanjing Sun Yat-sen Mausoleum and the Chairman Mao Memorial Hall in Beijing are Jinshan stone, which is relatively hard.
Walking forward, I saw a shadow wall. It seemed that we had climbed a mountain road and had a downward trend again. There is a group of buildings not far away. The front looks like a square, which is an excellent venue for square dancing.
Jiecui Pavilion is a rectangular pavilion with a single eaves resting on the top of the mountain. The surroundings are really green, and the percentage of green coverage should be quite high. Walking past you will find the archway of Lingyanshan Temple. It has a three-room width and is made of stone. On both sides are engraved with "Buddhist Holy Land" and "Pure Land Taoist Hall". There is a couplet on the inner pillar.
There are two roads behind the archway for climbing mountains, and there is another road down the mountain. There are many shops at the foot of the mountain, most of which sell incense sticks. Most scenic spots with strong incense have such shops. Of course, there are also some teahouses and restaurants.
There are some cliff stone carvings on the way to the mountain, most of which are related to Buddhism. This is originally the road to Lingyanshan Temple. There is a spiritual rock turtle, called the turtle looking at Taihu Lake, or looking at Buddha coming. It seems to be a giant turtle looking at Taihu Lake. This is a masterpiece of nature's spherical weathering of granite. This naturally formed stone turtle is rare.
There is a pavilion next to it, but the view is better from standing next to the stone turtle. No wonder the stone turtle looks at Taihu Lake here. Because of the rows of high-rise buildings and the rolling mountains, Taihu Lake really cannot be seen here. However, I knew that the direction the stone turtle was looking was indeed Taihu Lake.
On the top of the mountain is Lingyan Mountain Temple. We walked through the gate without looking sideways. In front of us were large tracts of granite, and there was no ready-made road to go. We walked for a short while in the forest, but there was very little granite below. It might be an ordinary forest path without building steps. Return to the top of the mountain and climb to the highest point. Although there is no road, you can find relatively flat granite rocks to pass through. If you go back from Lingyan Mountain Temple, the exit is still within the range of Lingyan Mountain Temple. The trees by the stone bank are covered with red silk, which may have been tied by believers.
The pine wind in the pagoda courtyard sends the sunset, and the ancient glory can still be seen on the piano stage.
In Guanwa Palace, the King of Wu was drunk, and Xizi washed flowers in the past.
