★ Tourist location: Jinji Lake, Suzhou

The name of Jinji Lake can be described as resounding. I have known it for a long time. After all, the publicity copy of this scenic spot is very beautiful.

Although it seems to me to be just a man-made attraction and not very attractive, it is so famous after all, so I still took the time to go there with my family to broaden my horizons.

Following the navigation all the way to the parking lot, we were immediately dumbfounded. The huge parking lot was full. As we are unfamiliar with the place, we can only follow the vehicles in front of us slowly to find a parking space. As two foodies, the first thing they did was to care about where lunch would be served later. Then they found that Jiuguang Department Store was nearby, and they immediately felt at ease that lunch was available!

There is a beautiful legend in Jinji Lake, whose origins can be traced back to the Spring and Autumn Period. It is said that King Fuchai of Wu had a daughter named Qiongji. It turned out that Shen

Be pampered. However, after Gou Jian sacrificed Xi Shi, he gradually lost his father's love. Fu Chai and Xi Shi spent all day enjoying themselves on Gusu Terrace in Lingyan Mountain in Suzhou, ignoring political affairs. Qiong Ji asked his father several times to be wary of Gou Jian's ulterior motives. However, Fu Chai was fascinated by her beauty and did not believe her daughter's words. Instead, he drove Qiong Ji to a deserted island in the east of Suzhou, which was not named a big lake to reflect on her mistakes. She is facing the wall, and Fu Chai is quite creative, making her daughter think about her mistakes. Later, the soldiers of the State of Yue arrived at the city of Gusu, and Fuchai wanted to give Qiongji as a gift to Gou Jian to seek peace. When Qiongji heard the news, she jumped into the lake and committed suicide in grief. In order to commemorate Qiongji, people called this originally nameless lake Qiongji Lake. Qiongji in Wu dialect speaks like a golden rooster. As she cries, she gradually becomes known as Jinji Lake.

In the county annals of the Qing Dynasty, Jinji Lake is also called Jinjing Lake, and there is also called Jinjing Lake. Judging from these two former names, they actually seem to have little to do with the legend of Qiongji. Of course, the Spring and Autumn Annals are too far away from us, and the written and historical materials are not complete. Whether Fu Chai, the King of Wu, was so fatuous and whether he even had a daughter named Qiongji is just a legend.

Jinji Lake belongs to a tributary of Taihu Lake, with more than ten water inlets and outlets. It receives water from the Nalou River in the north and Xiangmentang and Fengmentang in the west. The effluent mainly flows into the Wusong River through the Xietang River. The lake is rich in beautiful water and grass and is rich in fish and shrimp. Before it was once a scenic spot, it was once one of the top ten freshwater lakes with high yield for fish farming in the country. However, now as a famous tourist attraction, it is probably impossible to raise fish anymore. It's a pity for this fish pond.

Eight major landscapes are distributed along the lake, namely water curtain movie·music fountain, water Ferris wheel, ink and ink embankment·Ligong embankment, Hubin Avenue·Yuanrong sculpture, Moonlight Wharf, Peach Blossom Island·Linglong Island, Chundao Lakeside, Jinji Lake Bridge·Waterfall.

We walked through Yuanrong Times Square and the first attraction on the lake was the cultural water corridor landscape area. This is a theme amusement park. The most eye-catching Ferris wheel is 120 meters high. It is the largest water Ferris wheel in the country. It has 60 pods and can accommodate 360 people for sightseeing at the same time. The entire Ferris wheel's circular turntable is equipped with 3000 square meters of LED lights, and the outer aperture is called the "Changing Expression". It is said that the night view is quite beautiful. In addition to the Ferris wheel, there are also suspended roller coasters, merry-go-round, children's mazes, weird castles, starry swings, go-kart and other amusement facilities. Children like them more, so their popularity is not low.

Moving forward is spring to the lakeside square, where large areas of cherry trees are planted. Although the plants are not big enough, I think that by the end of March and early April, the cherry trees here should be very beautiful.

Go ahead to Moonlight Pier, next to Wenbo Square. Seeing the word moonlight, I think this should be a place to watch the night view, right? The Suzhou Culture and Art Center next to it is very elegant and has a modern building.

The Jinji Lake Bridge has a total length of 2.15 kilometers and spans the Jinji Lake. The bridge deck is 57.2 meters wide, and the slow lane in the south half is designed to be wider than the usual lane. This is to facilitate tourists to view the night view of Jinji Lake. The music fountain is another popular attraction in Jinji Lake, covering an area of 28,000 square meters and is arranged using the design concept of a water art theater. Unfortunately, the fountain didn't open until evening. When we turned back, night fell, but the fountain still had not begun, and we had no chance to see the night view of the fountain that countless people had admired. This bridge is too long, and we have no intention of walking the whole way. Fortunately, buses in Suzhou are very developed, so you can pick a bus and take it back.

Have lunch in the basement of Jiuguang at noon. There are many restaurants to choose from. Jiuguang is very popular. This is a large comprehensive shopping mall, enough to make us lose our way accidentally. Neither of us likes to shop, so we encouraged our friends who wanted to buy shoes to buy a pair of shoes while waiting for food. We left without wasting time after finishing our meal. So, for this popular shopping mall, we just saw a few of its doors.

In the afternoon, I chose to take a bus to Yuanrong Sculpture. There were indeed many sculptures with characters. This was more intuitive and you could see what they were doing at a glance. There are also some that are more abstract. They don't read the introduction and don't understand what it means when completing it. I can only say that none of us have any artistic cells.

The night view of this embankment is very beautiful. In fact, it is an international commercial water street integrating high-end specialty catering, entertainment, sightseeing, leisure and culture. It has a total construction area of more than 250,000 square meters. The first phase of the embankment gathers shopping and catering, and the architectural style retains the traditional Suzhou residential form; the second phase is mainly themed bars, music restaurants, and coffee bars. The first leisure and entertainment district in Suzhou-Ligongdi 1912 Bar Block is located here; Phase 3 is a cultural pedestrian street with some more creative cultural shops.

Peach Blossom Island is the island in the middle of the lake in the scenic area, covering an area of 100,000 square meters, and peach blossoms account for half of the total vegetation. Ziyu Pavilion is a landmark building in Jinji Lake, and Taohuayuan Tea Room is a building combining Chinese and Western styles. Another island in the middle of the lake, Linglong Island, is opposite Peach Blossom Island and is planted with wetlands and aquatic plants. These two islands need to be reached by speedboats or other boats, and it seems that there are not many tourists.
