zhuozhengyuan
I have been to Suzhou before, as well as the Humble Administrator's Garden and the Internet Master's Garden. Because it is the tourist season, the gardens are crowded with people. But this time it was the end of the year, and the only one who entered the yard with us in the morning was the photography club of the local uncle and aunt. When you retire, in addition to taking care of your grandchildren and picking up a camera to take photos, it can also be a social life. How beautiful!
After the uncles and aunties rushed to the best photography spot with long guns and short cannons, the Humble Administrator's Garden was again clean. The calm pool water reflected every scenery in the yard. Thanks to the emptiness of the off-season, I finally I can see the Xishan Yuyin through the Lvyi Pavilion, and the mountains across the river from Yuanxiang Hall.
Compared with the exquisiteness of the Lingering Garden, Humble Administrator's Garden embodies luxury in its elegance. In an area of more than 48,000 square meters, every architectural element does not exist in isolation. Although there are many scenery, they are all interrelated. The garden within the garden, the scenery within the scenery. Each brick, a stone, every grass and tree are interdependent.
Humble Administrator's Garden has gone through several demolitions and expansion to its current scale. The previous owners of the garden were all big shots from the Ming and Qing Dynasties. Chen Zhilin, Xu Can, and Zhang Zhiwan are already quite attainments in literature and danqing. In addition, Wen Zhengming drew garden charts twice in the early days of the Humble Administrator's Garden, so the Humble Administrator's Garden we see has been a masterpiece that has been accumulated for generations.
There is also a special owner in the Humble Administrator Garden. Li Xiucheng, the loyal king of the Taiping Rebellion, once lived in the Humble Administrator Garden for a short time. This general star rose slowly after Shi Dakai left and extended his life to the Taiping Rebellion by ten years. The opportunity of the Taiping Rebellion allowed him, who was originally born in the wilderness, to bloom with the light of his life. But the Taiping Rebellion also buried him. The short-sightedness and stupidity of the King and his brothers eventually became the rudder stone that pulled Li Xiucheng to the bottom of the water. Until he was killed, he had tried to persuade Zeng Guofan to jointly raise an incident and support the army and become self-reliant. At this time, he must be so unwilling.
Lion forest
Different from Humble Administrator's Garden, Lion Forest was formerly known as a Zen Temple. In the first year of Zhizheng of the Yuan Dynasty, Lin Ji Zong Zen master Tian Ru taught the Dharma in Suzhou. Because Zen master Tian Ru obtained the Dharma in Lion Rock, Tianmu Mountain, Zhejiang, when building gardens, his disciples used lake stones to create various changes in lions.
Although the obsession with lake stones almost dragged down the wealthy Northern Song Dynasty. However, in traditional Chinese culture, the trend of building mountains from lakes and rocks has always flourished. Lion Grove is most famous for its labyrinthine rockery and paths. Qianlong liked the Lion Grove very much and wrote the word "Zhenqu" when he visited the Lion Grove for the fourth time. It is said that he once lost his way while visiting the rockery, but I walked in and out left and right, and soon walked out. As expected, he is a person without wisdom. Even rockery doesn't bother to tease me...
Suzhou Museum
The Suzhou Museum has always been my favorite. All elements of the building are actually only used to create the interior space, and the success of space creation depends on the user's feelings. At this point, I think Subo's design is the best. Regardless of the introduction of light, the texture of the space or the planning of moving lines, visitors can ignore the surrounding architectural elements and focus on exhibition. What makes people troublesome is that most exhibition halls in China will set up some guide channels for some temporary exhibitions, dividing the original space into pieces. Whenever I see these so-called temporary measures, I always think of those driven cattle and sheep, circling around in the animal pen.
Although I.M. Pei has always avoided the title of master of deconstructionism, when entering Subo's courtyard, you can feel the master's intention to use the surrounding elements to integrate the space into the larger environment. This is also the reason why design masters of his generation, such as Richard. Rogers, Frank. what Gehry admires and continues to practice. The use of modern lines and water features in the space makes Subo's courtyard full of aura.
pingtan
Another purpose of going to Suzhou this time is to listen to Pingtan.
Suzhou used to be the richest in the world. Most local music is slow. In the gentle rhythm, the stories of emperors, generals, talents and beautiful women are told tirelessly. This time in Suzhou, I specially went to listen to Teacher Liu Guohua's scene in Pipa Language. When he heard that we had ordered Zhanchangsha, the old man was very happy. He plucked the strings and opened his mouth, and Guan Gong and Huang Zhong's golden sword and horse showed mutual admiration.
Compared with the soft female voice, I have always felt that a slightly older male voice can better express the pyrotechnic spirit of Pingtan. The heavy singing, with a touch of market and slippery, suddenly pulls people into the ancient teahouse, with a piano, a singing, and a cup of tea. Unconsciously, hundreds of years of time passed slowly, and nothing had changed.
