The last time I visited Zhenze Ancient Town was 7 years ago (October 4, 2013). At that time, Zhenze gave me the feeling that there were no dense shops, only people living leisurely in the town, and it was unique to the Jiangnan water town. Quiet and indifferent. Returning from Changxing to Shanghai, I passed through Zhenze Ancient Town. Seeing that it was still early, I decided to visit this famous Jiangnan town that I had not been to for seven years. Once again, I stepped into the old street, some were familiar, some were unfamiliar, some were different...

Yuji Bridge next to Ciyun Temple is the most famous bridge in the ancient town. This bridge was built in the fifty-fourth year of Kangxi (1715). It is said that it was built in memory of Dayu's flood control and was rebuilt one year before Qianlong's fifth southern tour. Yuji Bridge and the nearby Ciyun Ancient Tower borrow from each other to form the unique landscape of Zhenze Water Town-"Ciyun Sunset".

This kind of weather is the most suitable for shaking the lake. Ancient bridges, ancient towers, ancient temples, ancient temples, ancient houses, and the ancient town in early winter is a traditional Chinese ink painting.

Wenchang Pavilion was built in the 36th year of Qianlong of the Qing Dynasty (1771) and rebuilt by Xu Xuejian and others in the 20th year of Daoguang (1840), becoming a new scene in the earthquake. Wenchang Pavilion is entered twice, with the gate in front of it and three pillars wide. Behind it is the pavilion, which is high on the third floor, with a single eaves resting on the top of the mountain. There are windows all around, and the Qiongge is connected. The statue of Emperor Wenchang is enshrined in the pavilion.

Zhenze Ancient Town is located in the southwest of Wujiang District, Suzhou City, Jiangsu Province, adjacent to Zhejiang Province. It is a famous Jiangnan town with a history of more than 2,000 years. In the southwest of Shengze, the hometown of silk, it is also the famous hometown of silk in my country.

Ciyun Temple, formerly known as Guangji Temple, was built during the reign of Zhao and Xianchun of Duzong of the Song Dynasty (1265-1274). It is said that the Ciyun Temple Tower was built during the Chiwu Period of the Three Kingdoms. It has a history of more than 1750 years. It is a brick body and wooden eaves pavilions with a total height of 38.44 meters. The exterior of the tower has six sides and five floors, and consists of corridors, tower walls, and tower center.

Baota Street in Zhenze Ancient Town, the former Mingdong Street, is located north of the Ditang River. The street runs parallel to the river, starting from Yuji Bridge in the east and ending at Xie Bridge in the west, with a total length of 368 meters. The street is not wide, but the middle section is especially narrow. All shops in the old street were opened in place, with people coming and going, and red lanterns hung high.

Walking on the smooth stone street, I looked left and right. I regretted that all I saw were freshly painted "old houses". Occasionally, I saw the mottled horse head walls and the ancient Shikumen, and I felt excited.

Walking through Zhang Ji's Coop Drum Shop on Baota Street, I saw 4 or 5 elderly people sitting around the small shop. They chatted and looked at the master's Coop Drum. The cooper master's name is Zhang Xuejiang. He is in his seventies and is the last cooper in Zhenze Ancient Town. Originally, there were 12 hoop barrel shops and more than 100 hoop barrel craftsmen in Zhenze Ancient Town. Due to the development of the plastics industry, plastic products gradually replaced wooden products, and many masters changed careers. Only Master Zhang was interested in this craft. I can't let go.

Zhenze Ancient Town is easy to play, and it is very good to take video photos. You can have lunch and afternoon tea by the river at noon, which is very comfortable.

Walking through the old house by the river port, two innocent urchins saw my camera facing them. One of them reacted very quickly and instantly made a "V" gesture. The game's childhood was so good!

But I saw a local restaurant not far away,"Lize People's House". I walked into the store. As soon as I entered the door, the bronze-colored beams and pillars immediately outlined the lines of the Lize People's House in the traditional Jiangnan water town. The bamboo lampshades and fish basket lampshades hanging on the beams, and the square tables and long benches in the hall make the Lize people's water town more intense.

Walking into this Laoyan Stewed Vegetable Shop, it is a Chinese-style store with mahogany eight immortals tables and wide benches, specializing in stewed vegetables and noodles. Surprisingly, there is still a small bookstore on the west wall of the store, called Lao Yan Bookstore.

Outside the window is the Ditang River, the water transportation line of the ancient town. There is a corridor next to the river. There are several rattan chairs and rattan tables on the corridor. They are sipping tea and chewing melon seeds, and looking at the river water leisurely, which is very elegant.

The old man was chopping shredded pickled vegetables, his eyes fixed and his expression focused.

The Begonia Cake in Zhenze Ancient Town is a unique one. It is a century-old store with sophisticated practices and is sold now.

As long as you are in the town, you can see Ciyun Tower anywhere.

Zhenze Ancient Town is unique, simple and elegant, and does not have much commercial flavor. It is better than other ancient towns in Suzhou.

Shenxiang Xiaonong

At the west end of Baota Street, the area of Shijian Hall is surrounded by two courtyard walls with coupons. The coupon gate is titled "Renli Square", and in the distance is Ciyun Tower.

In Dashun Rice Travel, there is a river in front of the door, and a dock is built along the river.

Renchangshun, a century-old store, is located on the river of Zhenze Ancient Town. The house is made of wood and has a sense of history.

In a town where the Ditang River flows through, most of the preserved two-story buildings of the Ming and Qing Dynasties are built on both sides of the river, with adjacent shops. Its long embankment is all built with Jieji stone bases, and historical footprints can be seen everywhere.

The most favorite thing about Zhenze Ancient Town is its leisure and slow-paced life.

There are various teahouses along the river. A cup of chrysanthemum tea costs 10 yuan, accompanied by a serving of melon seeds and peanuts, and you can sit and enjoy a lazy afternoon.

Walking along the water alleys, you can see tourists sitting in the promenade drinking tea and chatting everywhere, giving a leisurely market style.

Only by sitting on a rowing boat and listening to minor tunes can you truly feel the comfort and leisurely feeling of being in a water town.

Do you still remember the "hawking" when you were a child? The old peddler was a moving grocery store. The peddlers walking through the streets who have long disappeared can still be seen in Zhenze Ancient Town.

The one-and-a-half-hour tour was too hasty, and the two-day and one-night tour was not enough. I returned home smoothly with a sense of happiness. Find a time to come to Zhenze again, sit by the Ditang River while chewing melon seeds and chatting while drinking tea...
