We had breakfast at the hotel on the morning of November 23, 2019. At 8:10, we took Bus No. 93 to North Bus Station. We were going to Haiyan County that day, where there is a Qiyuan and museum to see. We went the same day and returned the same day. I also took my luggage with me and planned to store it at the bus station. After returning, I would go directly to Wujiang to transfer to Suzhou, and then go back to the hotel to pick up my luggage. At the entrance of the urban and rural bus station, there is a canteen. When asked, it cost 10 yuan to store a piece of luggage. We simply took our two small backpacks and bags and stored them in the museum for free. It was not too troublesome.
We arrived at the North Bus Station at 8:20, and the No. 171 bus from Jiaxing to Haiyan ran every 3 to 40 minutes. When we arrived, there were no buses at the station and we had to wait. Due to the International Marathon held in Jiaxing that day, many sections of the road were closed and buses had to detour. 171 was delayed. Was it because the vehicles coming from the opposite side were affected? We waited until 9:05 and were a little impatient. If it was any later, it would be very nervous to rush back that day and go to Suzhou. So I temporarily changed my mind and decided to go back to Suzhou directly. There is a 9:45 shuttle bus at the bus station. The fare is 22 yuan, which is 2 yuan more expensive than when I arrived. I had just bought a ticket, but I saw 171 also entering the station to pick up passengers, so I could only let the situation go.
Arrive at Wujiang Bus Station at 11 a.m., there is a bus stop outside the exit door. Bus No. 91 goes directly to Suzhou Railway Station North Square. The fare is 2 yuan. When we came, we took the subway, and the fare was 6 yuan. We also tried the bus when we went back. You can get off at Suzhou North Bus Station, which is closer to the hotel we booked. I took the No. 91 bus at 11:05 in the morning and arrived at the North Bus Station at 12:30. After getting off the bus, we arrived at the Motel Hotel at the railway station where we stayed. The straight line distance was less than 300 meters. However, I had to walk up the bridge, but it was more than a kilometer. Fortunately, there was not much luggage.
Check-in at the hotel. The 1.8-meter queen bed room costs 98 yuan. Breakfast is also included. The key distance is close to the train station, making it convenient to travel. Leave the hotel at 1:15 pm. There is no place to eat nearby. Take a small alley to Xibei Street, where you can eat. There is also a Suzhou Arts and Crafts Museum, which you can visit.
I ate in a noodle shop. Go east along Northwest Street, at an inconspicuous door on the north side of the road is the Arts and Crafts Museum. Further east are the Suzhou City Museum and Humble Administrator's Garden. Since we have already been there, we will ignore it for the time being.
Suzhou Arts and Crafts Museum was established in January 2003. It is located at No. 88 Xibei Street, Suzhou City. The original site belongs to the controlled protected ancient building in Suzhou. It is the "Shangzhitang Wu House" built during the Qianlong period of the Qing Dynasty. It is adjacent to Humble Administrator's Garden and Lion Grove in the east and the Beisi Tower in the west. It is located in the Suzhou History Museum and the Opera, Folk Customs and Garden Museum area. Covering an area of approximately 4,804.33 square meters, it is the largest arts and crafts museum in East China. The environment and area of the exhibition hall, as well as the variety and quantity of collections, rank among the top in the country. Suzhou Arts and Crafts Museum is a palace displaying the treasures of arts, crafts and art in Suzhou and East China. The museum is divided into a treasure exhibition hall, a weaving and embroidery exhibition hall, a comprehensive carving exhibition hall, a folk craft exhibition hall, a miniature landscape exhibition hall and a multi-purpose hall, which reflects the profound historical and cultural heritage of the famous historical and cultural city of Suzhou and the elegance of traditional handicrafts., beautiful and superb regional characteristics are some cultural heritage worth cherishing.
The collection of Suzhou Arts and Crafts Museum is very rich and precious. It is really worth a visit. Moreover, the entrance fee is only 5 yuan, and the old age certificate is free. However, there were very few tourists inside, for some unknown reason. We finished watching it at 2:30, walked along Northwest Street to the Beisi Tower Bus Station, and took a bus to Hanshan Temple.
