★ Tourist location: Suzhou Tianchi·Hejiuling in Huashan
All the way back to Lianhua Peak from Huashan, there is a Fanhe Pavilion next to it. The wind is gentle and the sun is beautiful, and the view here is not worse than Lotus Peak. Looking out from here, there is a rocky road and many tourists sitting on the rocks.
We looked at the map and found that there was actually only one Puji Temple ahead, and the road was long and long. Although our interest in the Taoist College was not that high, we looked at the time and the strength was still high. We saw two old men walking over from the other end. They looked like a retired couple, and we immediately became full of pride. Let's go!
This road is really no ordinary tourist channel. In some places, there is no road at all, so we can only climb up the rocks and pick a relatively flat place to get down. However, after walking a mountain road where there was no hard way to find a way, the next road was okay, but there were actually garbage cans or something. That means that we can get out from this road, right? Thinking in this way, I strengthened my determination to go dark.
We are not the only ones on this road. We will meet other people from time to time, but most of them are hiking on foot. Their equipment is relatively complete, holding hiking poles, one on the left and one on the right. This road is really difficult to walk. After walking a normal mountain road, it is very difficult to walk on rocks. You have to use two hands to assist you to get down.
In ancient times, farmers from western Suzhou entered Suzhou City from Guangfu, Dongzhu, Zhenhu and other places. Hejiuling was a necessary road passage. At that time, the mountains in western Suzhou were connected to the mountains, and there was no land passage other than the Grand Canal that could be walked on at will. Even the emperor's southern tour could only build royal roads with long bricks. Therefore, he Jiuling left two stone passes, which are still there today. The building structure of Shiguan is an arch-type stone gate, similar to the stone arch bridge in Jiangnan, but there is no water in the cave and only channels. There were several dragon heads on the left and right of Shiguan, which were destroyed during the Cultural Revolution, and there is still one. Shiguan was built during the Longqing Period, about 450 years ago. It is a rare ancient architectural relic in Suzhou.
It is said that the King of Wu came back triumphantly after defeating Qi. He climbed high and climbed Hejiuling to express his thoughts. That day was the ninth day, so it became a custom for the people of Wu to climb high and write poems every year. The "ninth" of Hejiuling is also the ninth of the ninth.
Therefore, we seriously suspect that the route from Fangheting to Hejiuling is not a regular route. I asked a young man who looked like he was here to exercise on foot. There was indeed another passage from Puji Dao College to the entrance of Tianchi Mountain. It only took about twenty minutes, and the road was relatively smooth.
Puji Taoist College has experienced a lot of vicissitudes in the long history, but the entire Taoist College looks very new. The original Taoist College was more seriously damaged than Cuiyan Temple. The Taoist College we see now was rebuilt in 2008.
The monastery faces north to south and is built along the mountains. It still looks very spectacular. Above the mountain gate are the plaques of "He Jiuling" and "Lingguan Hall". On the right side of the hall is the pond, and on the left side is the Jade Emperor Hall.
The Jade Emperor Hall is dedicated to the Jade Emperor and the statue of Jiazi under the city of Beijing. Taoism believes that the Jade Emperor is the king of the gods. Among the Taoist gods, his cultivation level is not the highest, but his divine power is the greatest. In addition to governing the gods of heaven, earth and man, they also manage the prosperity and decline of all things in the universe, good and bad luck.
There are three statues enshrined in the Sanmao Hall: Mao Ying, Lord of Da Mao, Mao Gu, Lord of Zhong Mao, and Lord of San Mao. They sound like three brothers by their names. The word Mao sounds familiar. Yes, it is the founder of the Maoshan School of Taoism, also known as Sanmao Zhenjun.
Li Genyuan, a veteran of the Republic of China, visited Hejiuling three times. The first time he wrote "A Visit to the Ancient Mountains of Wujun" and the second time he left behind a cliff: "It is recorded that the King of Wu ascended here to celebrate the ninth anniversary, so he named Lingyun. Li Yuanyuan traveled on the mountain in Tengchong and stayed here. The abbot, Cai Yongshu, was writing on the cliff. In the 18th year of the Republic of China." For the third time, the three words "Tianma Lai" were left on the cliff stone carving, which was very long."In October of the 20th year of the Republic of China (1931), Li Genyuan, Wang Jian, and Ding Nanzhou came to travel from Yangshan. Taoist Cai Yong wrote the title and Zhang Yizhen wrote it down."
The Temple of Finance and the Temple of City God are not very large. The City God is appointed after the death of those who benefit the local people. He is regarded as a local god among the Taoist gods who protects the city-state and strengthens the right and eliminate evil. The memorial here is Huang Xie, the Lord of Chunshen during the Warring States Period.
It is said that there is also a saying circulating here that there was Hejiuling first, followed by Qionglong Mountain; there was Shangzhen Temple first, and then Xuanmiao Temple. Therefore, historically speaking, the famous Xuanmiao Temple in Suzhou cannot compare to Puji Dao College?
