September 19, departure: Shanghai to Fuzhou
1. traffic
It is still quite far from the airport to the city. You can directly see the Fujian Airport Express Line when you exit the airport. You can take the Apollo special line to the direction of Wuyi Square in the city, 26 yuan/person.
Fujian Grand Theater: It is located here on Wuyi Square, which is the center of Fuzhou. If you sign up for some local day and two-day tours in Fuzhou, the general bus boarding place is at the entrance of the Fuzhou Grand Theater, which is equivalent to Shanghai's People's Square. The concept of Shanghai Museum.
2. Accommodation: Intercontinental Fuzhou Shimao Hotel, five-star, No. 108 Guangda Road, Taijiang District, Fuzhou [near Wuyi Square]
Intercontinental Deluxe Room, 712 yuan/night, check in on September 19, check out on September 22
3. Food
I recommend Shangxiahang Ami seafood brands. Most of them are eaten by local people in Fuzhou. It tastes good and is simple and casual. If you are going for dinner, I suggest you go at 5:30 p.m., otherwise by the time it is 6 p.m., there will be a lot of people waiting in line for a table to eat. The second time we returned to Fuzhou from Xiamen to have dinner, we actually had to wait for 40 tables before we got our ticket number. In the end, I chose to give up eating at this restaurant for the second time.
There is a farmhouse diagonally across the road from the left at the intersection. The dishes are also good and affordable. We ordered gentian fish and an unknown name sea crab, as well as seafood stir-fried noodles. The taste is also very good and worth recommending.
4. Fuzhou attractions:
1) Gushan Yongquan Temple: The whole journey from Fuzhou Shimao Intercontinental Hotel to Gushan Yongquan Temple is about 17.6 kilometers.
Admission to Yongquan Temple is 40 yuan/person. There are many national-level cultural relics and historic sites, the most famous ones being the "Three Treasures" and "Three Railways" in the temple. The "Three Treasures" refer to the Thousand Buddha Pottery Pagoda, Carving Board, and Blood Sutra; the "Three Iron" are iron pot, iron tree, and iron-wood supply tables respectively.
Tour highlights:
① The Thousand Buddha Pottery Pagoda, one of the three treasures of Yongquan, refers to the pair of ceramic Thousand Buddha Pagoda standing on both sides of the front of Yongquan Temple. This pagoda was fired in the fifth year of Yuanfeng of the Song Dynasty (1082). The tower is about 7 meters high and has octagonal nine floors. It is made of clay fired in layers and stacked. The tower body is glazed and brown. There are 1038 Buddha statues sculpted on the body of the tower, 72 square Buddhas are sculpted on the octagonal tower eaves, and 72 pottery tower bells are hung. The tower base is engraved with lotus petals, lion dances, dwarfs, as well as the manufacturing time and the names of the craftsmen. These two pottery towers are rare in China and are physical evidence for studying the architecture and pottery making art of the Song Dynasty. The Thousand Buddha Pottery Pagoda was announced as a national key cultural relic protection unit in 2001 as part of the "Gushan Cliff Stone Carvings" and is also a treasure of Yongquan Temple.
② The "Shigu Famous Mountain" archway is the only way to go to Yongquan Temple;
③ Hundreds of turtles and red carp are kept in the release pool, and the largest turtle is thousands of years old;
④ The clay and gold plaque of the imperial book "Yongquan Temple" awarded by Kangxi in 1699 hangs high above the gate of Tianwang Hall;
③ The Tianwang Hall and a pair of thousand-Buddha pottery towers on both sides in front of the temple;
④ Behind the Tianwang Hall is a large patio, and an arch bridge is flying in the middle, called the "Stone Scroll Bridge". The iron towers on both sides penetrated into the clouds and were built by the Fuzhou Shipbuilding Bureau during the Qing Westernization Movement.
2. Sanfang and Qi Alley: The most popular attractions for many tourists to Fuzhou are actually antique streets and alleys and some cultural attractions, as well as various snacks and time-honored brands. You can come here to learn about Hakka culture and the history of Fujian merchants. If you have enough travel time, you can visit it.
Information description for the inquiry:
Sanfang and Qixiang are located on the left and right sides of Nanhou Street, consisting of "Sanfang"(Yijin Fang, Wenru Fang, Guanlu Fang) and "Qixiang"(Yangqiao Lane, Langguan Lane, Anmin Lane, Huang Lane, Ta Lane, Gong Lane, and Jibi Lane). Composition.
Tianhou Palace, which covers an area of 2040 square meters, still maintains the graceful and unique architectural style of Fuzhou in the Qing Dynasty. Tianhou Palace in Sanfang Qixiang, Fuzhou has a history of more than 100 years. It was the only Tianhou Palace in Fuzhou in the old days and a symbol of the historical and geographical changes of Sanfang Qixiang. The statue of Mazu is enshrined in the center of the original hall.
[Langguan Lane] After entering from the archway on Nanhou Street, the first thing you will pass through is Langguan Lane, which is a port that dates back to the Song Dynasty. Because Liu Tao lived here in the Song Dynasty, his descendants were Langguan for many generations, hence the name. There are scenic spots such as Yan Fu's Former Residence, Geng Du Academy, Ermei Bookstore, Tianhou Palace, etc. in the alley.
[Tower Lane] After passing Langguan Lane is Tower Lane. It gets its name because the Yuwang Pagoda was built in the north of the alley during the State of Fujian. In the 1950s, the small tower was moved above the gate of the alley. There are not many attractions in Ta Lane, including two attractions: Fujian Overseas Chinese Culture Exhibition Center and Fujian Contemporary Arts and Crafts Museum.
[Yellow Lane and Yijinfang] After passing Tower Lane, there are Yellow Lane and Yijinfang. The main attractions are the Xiaohuang Tower in Huangxiang and the Waterside Theater in Yijin Square.
[Anmin Lane and Wenru Square] Then there are Anmin Lane and Wenru Square. There are not many scenic spots here.
[Gong Lane] Gong Lane was formerly named Xianju, named after the Ziji Palace in the alley.
After passing Gong Lane, you will find the street to the end. The so-called Jibi Lane and Guanglu Square are actually roads. There are many gourmet restaurants and some attractions on this road.
[Nanhou Street] is a very lively and antique shopping street, similar to the concept of Dongguan Street in Yangzhou or Shantang Street in Suzhou. Of course, there is also delicious food on the street.
The most famous snacks on Nanhou Street are "Yonghe Fish Ball","Mujin Meatballs" and "Tongli Meat Swallow". They are all time-honored Chinese brands, have a good reputation and are not expensive.
From Nanhou Street to Wushan Scenic Area is Antai River. The second side of the river can be understood as a riverside food street!! Food shops are full!! There are also many petty bourgeoisie cafes. If you are tired from shopping, you can also find a Linhe Cafe to sit down.
September 20 Pingtan Island
I found a taxi driver to negotiate a one-day trip with a chartered car for 800 yuan.
Starting from Fuzhou and passing through the Cross-Sea Bridge, the road conditions are good and the scenery along the way is also good. It takes about an hour and a half to drive from Fuzhou to Pingtan.
1. Yangtze River Ao Windmill Field: It is a wind-power beach. The sea surface is relatively empty and the sea water is turbid. You can leave immediately after taking a photo.
2. East China Sea Wonderland: It's worth a visit! The address is at the southern foot of Wangye Mountain in Liushui Town. The ticket is 15 yuan/person, and the play time is about 2-3 hours.
The "East China Sea Wonderland" is the most beautiful among Pingtan's many seascapes. It is mainly composed of Xianren Well, Xianren Valley and Xianren Peak.
Entering the gate of the scenic area and walking down, you will find Xianren Valley; walking to the right, you will find Xianren Well and Xianren Peak.
As soon as you enter the gate of the scenic spot, you will see the "Immortal Valley", like a grand canyon split in the middle of the mountain. The Immortal Well is a natural sea erosion cave. There is a hole on the side wall of the well leading to the sea. The waves keep surging in, which is amazing. The sea water beats the reef at the bottom of the valley. There is an excellent viewing platform here. The eyes are suddenly open and the vision is wide. When you look up, you can see the blue sea and the beautiful scenery of the East China Sea Wonderland.
There is a parking lot at the foot of the scenic area, and it is about a 15-minute walk to the gate of the scenic area.
3. Longfengtou Beach: Worth a visit! The information description is as follows: It is located in the south corner of Pingtan Island, Fujian, and 1.5 kilometers away from the center of Pingtan County. The beach is 500 meters wide and 9.5 kilometers long, with a slope of only 2.2 degrees. The waves here are high and the sand on the beach is very fine, making it very suitable for surfing.
4. Lunch: There are many restaurants near Longfengtou Beach, so you can have lunch here. I chose a seafood restaurant in Pingtan County to eat. The menu price was slightly more expensive than that in Fuzhou City. I ordered seafood, but the dishes were average and I could barely fill my stomach.
5. Haitan Ancient City: There is an underground parking lot at the entrance of the ancient city. This is an antique ancient city with a large scale, but it seems that there are no locals living in it and there is no trace of life. It is purely a man-made attraction gathered by various shops. It is not recommended to spend a lot of time to play.
6. Dafu Bay: Near Xiahuao, Dafu Village, Aodong Town, Pingtan Comprehensive Experimental Zone, Dafu Bay faces the distant Taiwan Strait. The wide sea area is connected to the open ocean. The sea water is clear, and many islands and reefs are dotted with it. The sea area is beautiful and charming. There are many fishing boats moored in the bay, and the photos look beautiful.
There is a parking lot at the foot of Dafu Bay for parking.
7. Tannan Bay: Worth a visit! The tourist information explains that the address is southeast of Huandao East Road in Pingtan County, about 7 kilometers away from the center of Pingtan County. The tourist conditions are no less than those of another natural bathing beach on Longfengtou Beach, with a beach coastline of 22 kilometers. The seaside beach in Tannan Bay is not as wide as Longfengtou Beach, but it also has the characteristics of high waves and fine sand. The difference is that the seaside beach in Tannan Bay is much bluer than the seawater in Longfengtou Beach, and the seawater is also slightly cooler than the Longfengtou Beach.
Some other scenic spots introduced in Pingtan Island in tourist materials were not included in this travel guide plan and were not listed.
7. Returning back to Fuzhou from Pingtan Island: When we returned from Pingtan Island in the afternoon to fast-forward Florida, there were a lot of traffic and it was very congested.
September 21, a one-day trip to Xiamen
1. Fuzhou takes the high-speed train to Xiamen. It is recommended to buy Fuzhou Station and Xiamen Station as much as possible. Fuzhou South Railway Station and Xiamen North Railway Station are far away from the urban area. The high-speed train ticket we bought is to Xiamen North Railway Station. You can take Metro Line 1 to get off at Jiangjun Temple, and then take a taxi to Zengcuo 'an, which is not far away, for a tour.
2. Zeng Cuo 'an: There are many snack shops and small shops selling pearls inside. If you buy sea pearls, it is recommended to buy large-grain pure white sea pearls. The store will frantically bid for several thousand yuan each, and you can bargain hard to 1,000 yuan. You can also buy real pure white sea pearls with large grains. Ha!
3. Lunch: We chose Zui No. 1 seafood stall on public comment for dinner. The two of us ordered sand tea lobster, sizzling plate large oysters, and emerald bitter snail soup. Sand tea lobster and sizzling plate oysters taste good, but slightly spicy.
4. Nanputuo Temple: A free temple. The temple is not very large, but the Buddhist atmosphere is very good. It is a good place to pay homage to Buddha.
5. Xiamen University: Not far from Nanputuo Temple and turning left, there is a gate of Xiamen University. Appointments for visits have been stopped, and you can only take photos at the university gate.
