In June, this was my second time in Xiamen.
I still remember that in November a few years ago, it was my first visit to Xiamen.
Fortunately, the weather was so good during both trips to Xiamen.
Xiamen, a beautiful and charming coastal city, has the reputation of a garden-like city.
Many people say that Xiamen is not fun and boring, because you don't have the right way to play.

Because there are many scenic spots I have visited for the first time, this time I chose a few must-see spots mainly for leisure.
Xiamen + Gulangyu lasts for four days
DAY1: Arrive in Xiamen and stay in folk customs
DAY2: Walking along Gulangyu Island
DAY3: Huandao Road-Zengcuo 'an-Baicheng Sand Beach-Xiamen University-Shabawei
DAY4: Wanshi Botanical Garden-Railway Culture Park-World Trade Twin Towers

DAY1: Arrive in Xiamen and check into a B & B
The plane left at 9 p.m. and arrived at Xiamen Gaoqi Airport at 10:25. After picking up my luggage, I called a Didi after leaving the airport and arrived at the first B & B.
The address is in Huli District, which makes it convenient for us to go to Gulangyu the next day. There is a breakfast shop and supermarket downstairs.
Because it is considered a parent-child stay, I chose a two-queen bed B & Bs for this trip. I bought instant noodles downstairs, turned on the projector, and sat on the sofa to rest for a while.
This B & B was comfortable and suitable for taking photos, so the B & B photo was born.
DAY2: Walking along Gulangyu Island

For the next day's trip, I slept until I woke up naturally and was ready to go to Gulangyu. I purchased a ferry ticket on the website of Xiamen Ferry Co., Ltd. in advance.
After arriving at Gulangyu, I went to the hotel to place my luggage, changed my clothes, and went out.
Arriving at Gulangyu Island in Xiamen, surrounded by a sea. It is a small island, and everything is within walking distance. Beautiful scenery surrounds you, and you can see many small, fresh and literary shops here.
Gulangyu personally recommends that there is no need to check in for attractions, just walk around and take photos.
Prices on the island are relatively cheap because when boarding the plane, I left a carry-on bag at the airport without bringing my hat and slippers inside.
So I bought a make do on Gulangyu. The 15-yuan hat is also very fashionable, haha.
At the most beautiful corner of Gulangyu, we met each other.
The beach on Gulangyu Island is not large, but it is enough for taking photos and entertainment. You can also see the coastal scenery of Xiamen Island.

But we need to be cautious when eating seafood on Gulangyu. We ate 400+ seafood in a restaurant, but one of us had a stomach that couldn't adapt to it.

The most authentic and freshest Xiamen food is not at popular attractions. To be honest, locals generally do not choose seafood snacks at attractions. First, it is not cost-effective. Second, it is too commercial. Authentic food is actually hidden in alleys. Here are some of the good snacks and delicious food I ate on Gulangyu Island and on Xiamen Island.
1. Su Xiaotang's nougat

The clerk brought the menu and enthusiastically introduced me to his family's dishes. You can feel the owner's intentions from the menu. The menu design and dish names inside are different from those of other homes and are full of fun.
Although Mr. Sea Monster is not fine dining, he has a literary and artistic atmosphere, which makes people feel very comfortable from the decoration to the menu.

6. Oyster Pancake

7. Pan-fried crab in Lianhua Park

Of course, my favorite is their signature dish, Xiang-fried crab, which is also a must-order when coming here.
The vinegar jellyfish head is sour and refreshing, and it is indispensable for the appetizer. The jellyfish head is very fresh, crisp, strong, and has a very good taste.
Their secret Wang snail is also well-deserved. The raw materials are ultra-fresh, the meat is very full, the taste is well blended, the aroma of minced garlic is very strong, and the appetizer is excellent.
8. Lin's fish balls

In the morning, after breakfast in Gulangyu, I left the hotel and left Gulangyu.
The B & B for this day was booked in advance and stayed in Shapowei for convenience of travel.
It takes a few minutes to get to Baicheng Beach.

Xiamen's Huandao Road goes around Xiamen and is next to the sea. You can rent a bicycle and circle around the island. If you encounter anyone you want to take pictures or play, you can stop.
Ride to Zengcuo 'an, and you can also stop and take a stroll.
Baicheng Beach was close to where we lived, so we packed our luggage and went.
This beach has many people and has been commercialized. However, if you are traveling for a family, it is a great place to spend time here. But the water is not very clear, so it is enough to play with the sand.
The beach is so focused on playing that I have forgotten to take photos, haha!~
| Xiamen University

From the entrance of Xiamen University Gate opposite Baicheng Beach, you entered Xiamen University directly with your friend's hotel entry card.
Furong Cave of Xiamen University, every year graduates come here to take photos to commemorate it.
Several walls have already been painted and replaced with a new look.
Xiamen University Furong Tunnel
In front of several Internet celebrities checking in on the wall, there was a line of people taking photos.
We walked by and smiled, lamenting that our youth had passed by so quickly, as if it was yesterday when we graduated.
There are not many photos taken in the Furong Tunnel, but I am already addicted to taking them when I came here for the first time.
The fourth floor of Furong Restaurant is open to the public. You can go up and buy a card to recharge.
The black swan in Furong Lake saw us holding food and nodded to us in a friendly manner. How lovely and spiritual.

Stroll through the Shabowei Art District at night, a gathering place for young people. If you want to come to take pictures, it will be more appropriate to come during the day.

Spray photos that love rainforest are super nice, but there is a time limit. Remember to arrange your own itinerary according to the time.
After entering, you need to climb a flight of stairs to reach the park shuttle bus ticketing point. If there are too many people, your recent tickets will be sold out and you need to buy the next ticket.
Wanshi Botanical Garden is really huge. You must follow the map. There is a classic route on the map (a map will be sent if you buy a ticket), which includes the tropical rainforest area and the succulent area. I only went to these two areas. Enough to take photos!

The park is very long. I came here because I was tired from playing in the Botanical Garden, so I returned halfway.
After shopping, I went to the small eyes food stall to rub it. The taste is okay, but I only ate 400+, which is more affordable than the one on Gulangyu.
Prepare some dry food in the supermarket at night, sit on the Twin Towers, and have a drink.

The Twin Towers are really recommended. They can overlook the entire Xiamen, face the sea, and opposite Gulangyu Island.
Because the high-speed train to go back was at North Railway Station, I slept until I woke up naturally on the last day, rested at a B & B, and took a photo.
After having lunch at the Twin Towers, I went to North Railway Station early to wait for the high-speed train.
Trip preparation and precautions| tours
Xiamen's attractions are still good, but there are too many Internet celebrity photo attractions... I couldn't check in one by one, so I first chose the attractions that I had to visit, and went to the rest on the way. After all, with an old man and a young man with him, the itinerary is mainly leisurely and relaxed. Speaking of which, Xiamen is also a very suitable place for parent-child travel.
Travel equipment: parasols, sunscreen, sunglasses, sun hats and other sunscreen products must be necessary. Although the temperature is not high, the light is still sufficient. Mosquito repellent water is a must.
To wear clothes, it is recommended to match light and bright colors. Please refer to my matching.

Xiamen's main island is not big, and Didi Chuxing can completely solve the problem. BRT is also very convenient.

Considering that there were not two people on this trip, it took a lot of effort to choose a hotel. It was comfortable and convenient transportation. In the end, I chose a B & B and a boutique inn on Gulangyu Island (including breakfast). During the four days of travel, I stayed in different folk customs every day and felt different. The distance between folk customs was also closer. Except for Gulangyu for one night, which was booked on Ctrip, the other nights were booked on Airbnb. Moreover, the accommodation now is in a considerate group, and you can consult at any time if you have any related questions. It is very convenient and considerate.
