Halfway through the long year of 2020, I miss the trip to Xiamen at the beginning of the year. Every time I come to Xiamen by the sea, I can always be impressed by the ubiquitous literary and artistic atmosphere that pervades my vision. Whether you are wandering in the old streets and alleys, or walking among the blue waves of the bay, the grass and trees, the flickering neon lights, or the long figures of lovers holding hands under the street lights, they are all like gentle poems one after another, and unfinished paintings flow silently in Xiamen. In the city, waiting for you to slowly feel it.
This is a unique atmosphere of this city. It is very unique and makes Xiamen synonymous with literature, art and art. I also enjoy the spiritual relief that this fragrant Xiamen brings me.
I have long known about this Lohkah Hotel Spa, located on the bank of Wuyuan Bay on the east side of Xiamen Island. When I first saw a photo of the Lohkah Qishang Hotel, I was instantly attracted by the design of this hotel.
The hotel is not far from Xiamen Gaoqi International Airport. After leaving the airport, take a taxi and head south along Huandao East Road. Outside the window is the blue sea under the sun. Facing the warm sunshine in the southern winter, it takes more than half an hour to arrive at the hotel. This is not a tall hotel full of glass curtain walls in the traditional sense.
Entering the gate of the hotel, there are tranquility in southern Fujian style on both sides of the road made of green bamboos swaying in the wind. The entrance to the hotel lobby is a typical southern Fujian courtyard-style structure. The patio under the dome has been crafted by the designers., presenting a modern atmosphere. The hotel's front desk lobby continues the symmetrical design of the ancient buildings in southern Fujian. The light-decorated porch columns are matched with transparent glass curtain walls, and a huge sense of space is in front of you. In the enthusiastic introduction of the front desk staff, I finally understood the meaning of the word "Lohkah". It comes from the Sanskrit Loka, which means my spiritual world, leading guests to focus on healing, rejuvenation and exploration of the inspiration of their true self.
The overall design of the hotel comes from the world-renowned Lanya Lanyan design team. This is a hotel with a modern design and a southern Fujian courtyard style. The night of the art show was held in the courtyard outside the lobby of this hotel.
Under the guidance of the service staff, I walked through the courtyard of the huge pool. Under the sun, the pool reflected the main building of the guest room, which looked like the colorful pictures written by the Impressionists. The hotel's 170 guest rooms in a very Chinese-style style, each room is equipped with a huge open sun terrace. The green courtyard or bay view is in the eyes of the guests without dead corners. The open courtyard design gives the guests an extreme sense of relaxation.
My room this time is located on the first floor of the hotel. When I opened the door of the room, I looked through the huge floor-to-ceiling windows on the balcony. I could see the peaceful water outside the window and the jumping sunset in front of Wuyuan Bay. The room was very large, with a large bed with white sheets facing the charming scenery of the balcony. The hidden wine cabinet contained various drinks and drinks. The bathroom was also very large. There was a separate bathtub, a huge glass dresser, and a split shower room, which constituted a comfortable space. The room is a central ventilation system with a constant temperature. The constant temperature of 26.5 degrees will not allow you to feel the cold of the south in winter, nor will it allow you to feel the heat of the south in the noon sun.
Of course, the most unforgettable thing for me was the art show called "Awakening" that night.
I arrived on time at the main stage of the performance by the water feature pool in the central hotel. The main stage perfectly blended light, shadow, garden design and art. The theme of tonight's show is to revitalize the spirit and explore the authenticity. It brings together the ideas of many well-known art masters to present an unparalleled audio-visual feast for the guests. At the same time, the hotel's luxurious spa space-Tha Spa at Lohkah made its debut. It will be fully opened in the near future, providing 360° comprehensive health spa services for guests who pay attention to and love exploring the body, heart and spirit.
As night fell, the performance gradually kicked off. The original main show "Lohkah in the World" was created and performed by Teacher Wu Lin, a well-known artist living in Macao and art healing educator, who co-created and performed at the opening and closing ceremonies of the 2008 Beijing Olympics and Teacher Longjiang, a dancer for the opening trial of the 2010 Shanghai World Expo and the pioneer of original artistic dance. Beneath the beautiful lights on the scene, audio-visual pictures with a profound oriental Zen feel were presented. The moonlight was bright and the center of the stage was shrouded in smoke. The dancers waved their white sleeves from time to time. In the fog, the figures seemed to appear., forming a charming picture scroll. The dancers 'figures are soft and graceful, and the musicians' yin and yang are fading. Between the ups and downs of the notes, the unique Zen feeling of the East is permeated, and it also constructs a fragment of the prosperity of the ancient palace.
There were also American conductor and composer Randolph Alexander and his Le Guang Quartet who also sang the song of the great French composer Claude Le Jeune during the Renaissance-"Je ne me plain" in the way of Acapella. From creative planning, the blending of classical and modern music, sound and light art choreography to the presentation of stage and visual space, this art show is all created by the artistic creator, Zhiqiang, and the visual creator, Shaun ArmStrong, chief designer of HARRODS Department Store in the UK. -James lai, created together.
Time flowed quietly among the beauties in this way, and the soothing instrumental music in their ears allowed every audience present to escape into a realm of ethereal, and the dancers allowed this ethereal to be infinitely sublimated.
At the end of the art show, the new SPA product was also released. The Spa at Lohkah, the upcoming 360° all-round health luxury space. The ancient palace bath etiquette and healing art have brought full aura to the hotel and redefined an unprecedented modern luxury thermal spa experience, as well as a hot stone recliner seating area, an outdoor swimming pool that meets international Olympic standards and a jacuzzi with harbor views.
There are spa treatments, fitness exercises, yoga meditation, sound healing, organic herbal purification therapies to nourish and care for the skin, professional care for men, and traditional Chinese medicine and Ayurvedic therapies. These combine ancient methods with cutting-edge technology and provide exquisite services, provide guests with a tailor-made care experience, advocating a natural and healthy way to resist time and rejuvenate. The next morning, I also went to experience a sound therapy yoga. In the sounds of the large and small singing bowls, my whole body and mind felt healing and relaxing.
I have to praise the dining of this high-class hotel. This time I experienced the hotel's Western restaurant and Chinese restaurant respectively. The Western restaurant has indoor and outdoor areas, and the outdoor area is close to the swimming pool and green plants. On a sunny morning, I ate here. A rich and delicious breakfast. The breakfast is semi-buffet. There are breads, salads, juices, cereals, fruits, etc. on the buffet table. Then you can order staple foods, such as Benedictine eggs, omelettes, small tubes, muffins, etc.
That's right! Breakfast can be eaten at any restaurant, or you can eat at any time and choose to enjoy breakfast in your room! In addition, the hotel can check out at any time 24 hours a day.
For lunch, I chose the magnificent Chinese restaurant "XIA". As soon as I entered the Chinese restaurant, I felt very noble and mysterious. I walked through small private rooms and arrived at the lobby. It was very popular. We ordered a table of delicious food on the recommendation of the waiter, and every dish was beautiful and delicious. The dishes were extremely exquisite. From southern Fujian cuisine to Cantonese cuisine to Hunan cuisine, it seemed that there was no chef who couldn't handle it. Everything was authentic in all directions.
What a wonderful experience, in the wonderful space of the Qishang Hotel Lohkah, between Xiamen, a city that only belongs to literature and art.
