Private little Europe can be called a paradise in Shangli Reservoir
Shangli Reservoir Park was once the first reservoir on Xiamen Island. The dam was built in the 1920s and was built by Siemens of Germany. It is 25 meters high and 108 meters long. Although the dam has a history of nearly 100 years, the structure is still very complete and time-sensitive.

When talking about this reservoir, we have to start with the drinking water on Xiamen Island. In the 1920s, Xiamen Island and Gulangyu Island were small islands surrounded by the sea. The sea water was very abundant, but it was not drinkable.
Later, in order to solve the water problem, in 1920, overseas Chinese industrialist Huang Yizhu and several overseas Chinese businessmen took into account the above situation and decided to raise funds to establish Xiamen City Water Supply Company. After years of careful design by Chinese and foreign experts, it was finally completed in 1925. Now looking closely at the dam, you can clearly see that this arc-shaped dam is built with granite strips of stone. There is a water pump house in the middle of the dam. There is a German-made steel sluice at the bottom of the dam. There are water outlet pipes and water inlet pipes in the west. The bottom wall of the dam is embedded with a signature in English and Chinese dating from 14th of the Republic of China.
Coming here, I am in the middle of a valley with European buildings as the background, which is very suitable for taking photos. At present, there are also many young ladies here who come here, wearing different costumes, and posing a cool check-in photo at this check-in point in Xiamen. [Photo tips] Look for the prime time of the day for shooting. Before 10 a.m. and in the evening, the sun's rays are soft and the light is oblique. You can use side light or side backlight to take portrait shots and shoot European and American blockbusters in minutes.

Xiamen Railway Cultural Park starts from Jinbang Park (Wenping Road) in the east and ends at Heping Wharf in the west. It has a total length of about 4.5 kilometers and a width of about 12 to 18 meters. There are Wanshou Area, Wanshi Mountain Scenic Area, Huxi Rock Scenic Area and Xiagang Laocheng District on both sides of the line. This is an extension of the Yingxia Railway. This old railway has been abandoned for many years, but to a certain extent, it also retains the original memory of Xiamen's transportation development and has a long and strong historical and cultural background.
The best time to be in Railway Park is afternoon. Go for about 300 meters from Exit 3 of Metro Line 1 towards the Botanical Garden, turn left and you will see this wooden sign in front of you. Follow the direction of the sun, enter the railway park and start a journey of time.
The trajectory of life begins here, riding the train of time, starting from childhood, all the way to youth, middle age and old age. Each journey has different scenery and experiences. Strolling through it and watching my grandparents and grandchildren walking on the road basking in the sun, it is a harmonious and warm picture.
When I first came to the Railway Park, I was very happy with this old railway line that was so well protected. I once saw the scene of green trains driving into Xiamen Island from outside Xiamen Island, but now that time is gone forever, and the rest is flowing on the old tracks in the railway park.
Along the Railway Park, starting from Jinbang Park, there is an old time, and the scenic spots you pass along the way are connected into one piece. A seemingly immovable railway has now become the best place to relax for people and tourists in Xiamen City. In the residential areas you pass along the way, playing chess and drinking tea in the shade of the trees, all reflect Xiamen's slow life.
The afternoon sun was very warm. When I was filming along the tracks, the mother and son who unexpectedly appeared on the screen made the whole picture seem lively.
Backlighting is also a good attempt when shooting. In this way, the light from the sun is radiated into the picture, making the entire photo warmer.

Railway Cultural Park
In winter, this place is really suitable for basking in the sun. So I put the camera up on a tripod and used the camera's time-lapse selfie function to take some photos of myself.
As the sun sets in the west, I like it more and more. Bathed in the warm winter sun, in this winter, enjoy the leisurely and slow life in Xiamen. I think the biggest advantage of traveling is that it allows me to relax. Only after integrating into local life can I better feel the atmosphere of the city.
The eternal "Shapowei" of the Railway Cultural Park, recalling the old days of old Xiamen
Follow the sunset and stroll to Yanwu Bridge. This is known as the bridge closest to the sea level. You can see the pink sky when the sun sets west. You can see Gulangyu Island and Zhangzhou Port in the distance. The so-called prime time is the most beautiful picture at this moment.

After walking out of the Art West District, we entered Shapowei. As the origin of Xiamen Port, this place has become a safe haven since the Qing Dynasty. The early Xiamen Port was an arc-shaped bay. The bay in this area was crescent-shaped and the golden sandy beaches were connected into one piece, so it was known as "Jade Sand Slope."
Various food shops and beverage shops have been opened along the wooden plank road of the shelter. And more and more tourists are beginning to like to find a favorite drink shop at night and dusk, and sit here quietly watching a sunset.
When I reached the end of the plank road, I met a niche gourmet restaurant. This store is called Hatsumi Nacho. Stay in the cozy [Shuli B & B] for a beautiful sunrise
After visiting Shapowei, I checked into Shuli, a B & B located on Huangcuo Beach. This place was renovated by a sister from a villa. There are not many rooms in the entire B & B, but it is very cozy. Living here feels very at home.
Sometimes while traveling, the people you meet are the most beautiful encounters. The owner of the B & B is a sister who loves life and is good at taking photos. Chat with her can feel the charisma exudes from her.
There are cats, plants, books, music, coffee and tea.
Walking under the sunset and watching the sunrise in the morning, there is the quietest sea, the softest beach, and the most beautiful wooden plank road.

I left the B & B at 4:30 the next day and reached the beach in about three minutes.

The blues slowly emerged from the shady scene, the sky gradually became more and more beautiful, and cheers continued to come from the beach.
It wasn't in vain to wait today. It was worth it to get up early, because in the end, we also waited until the sunrise.

The spark of entertainment and technology burst out at the Xiamen Science and Technology Museum
I have been to Xiamen many times, and I have always heard that the Science and Technology Museum is interesting and fun. Both big friends and children can have fun here. This time I finally stepped here and was about to start my happy journey.
The Xiamen Science and Technology Museum is a five-themed exhibition hall with five major themes: "Ocean Cradle","Exploration and Discovery","Creating Civilization","Harmonious Development" and "Children's Future", as well as a temporary exhibition hall. Theater, collection facilities nearly 400 pieces.
Before entering the Science and Technology Museum, staff members patiently and carefully checked the health code, measured their body temperature, checked whether they were wearing masks, and were required to enter the venue and wear masks where people gathered. (During filming, the mask was removed when there was no one else, and the mask was put on immediately after filming.)
After passing the ticket gate, you can see this wall with a sense of technology. Few people will notice that there are actually colorful elements with lights on this side to show the city.
First enter the Ocean Cradle Hall. Here, with the title "Ask the Sea", from the perspective of people's life observation, four first-level questions are proposed, such as "Why are we still short of water while guarding the vast sea?". The magnetoelectric stage can make you "angry" under the action of a high-voltage electrostatic generator. You can also enjoy the blue-purple arc under an electric shock of 100,000 volts. Just sitting on the swing can help the electrode pull out the golden arc. You can also see the "dancing" horn-shaped arc simulated by the Tesla coil with the rhythm of music at a voltage of one million volts. Don't miss it, and you must boldly go on stage and try it.

When I walked into the time and space tunnel, I felt a magical experience here. The glass bridge of the space-time tunnel slowly extends forward. The tunnel is surrounded by a screen. If I were to recommend a place in Xiamen where I could enjoy autumn, it would be Nanhu Park.
Autumn in Xiamen is particularly precious, like a flash in the pan. Because the temperature here is relatively high compared with the north, it is difficult to see autumn leaves, especially in the golden autumn, which is almost rare. In Nanhu Park, there is such a good place to enjoy autumn.
After entering through the park gate, there is a large lawn. This is now a favorite place for citizens to relax. Grandpa and grandma gather together to chat and take the children to bask in the sun on the grass and play games. There is also the old man flying a kite on Caoping Mountain, sitting on a chair, very leisurely.

After leaving Nanhu Park, take the subway to Zhongshan Road. Compared with the bustling Main Street of Zhongshan Road, I like to walk into the more secluded alleys such as Jukou Street. Here, you officially start your eight-city food journey.
The first stop after coming out of Jukou Street is the popular Lao Sixi Egg Burger. Even though the store is less than a few square meters, there are still long queues on the road outside, which shows how much everyone likes it.
At the stall at the door, the aunt repeated her movements in an unchanging manner. It was this seemingly ordinary food that carried everyone's taste buds, which made the diners waiting in the cold wind willing to wait. This was the charm of being a time-honored food.
No matter where your store is located or how big it is, I will always be waiting for you.
The second stop is this Yuwazi Tea Noodles. This store can taste a bowl of very hot Shacha noodles for about 30 yuan per person, and this store is the only one with no other branch. After leisurely strolling around the eight cities, you come out of Kaihe Road and enter Zhongshan Road from the intersection of Sibei Road. The last stop of this trip is the famous peanut soup.
Sibei Peanut Soup is a snack of a time-honored Xiamen brand. All old Xiamen people know that at the corner of the intersection of Sibei and Datong Road, the main market is peanut soup, as well as traditional Xiamen snacks such as leek boxes, fried dates, fried glutinous rice dumplings, etc.

Every time I come to the old warehouse, I feel different.
I was fortunate enough to meet Mr. Yang Jinghan, the manager, and I had a more vivid understanding of the past and present lives of the old warehouse.
At the beginning, Mr. Yang had to sell these old objects because he went bankrupt because of running his old villa, but he never thought of accidentally planting a willow tree. He will connect "good" and "one" together, meaning "what is beautiful is unique".
Old goods warehouse sounds like a store that sells old things, but in addition to selling old things, it also sells retro objects, rents retro life scenes, sells old books, teaches handicraft classes, opens retro photo studios, sells tiles, and medieval kitchens... Here it is no longer just ancient objects, but more of an emotion.
Here, the space filled with old things is full of retro atmosphere, and if you don't pay attention, you will fall into the time of the last century. The old sofa, the old coffee table, and the camphor wood box used for my mother's dowry... people just want to sit here and continue to listen to my mother's chatter about the past. Old things make us feel like we have gone back to our childhood, leaning on the windowsill and looking at the scenery outside. Only this time was different. We began to look inward and into the past.
I like the layout here very much. It is well-organized and has a very layered feeling. And every object, no matter how big or small, is full of a sense of age. Many times, I will bring myself back to the past. Here, it is really easy to feel that time is flowing, and everything goes back to the past with these items.
Here you can spend time wantonly, a cup of coffee, a memory, and time is still.
I reluctantly left the old warehouse, my thoughts still stayed there, and I didn't want to leave for a long time.

Xiamen's green lungs, breathe to your heart's content in [Wuyuanwan Wetland Park]
Wuyuanwan Wetland Park is Xiamen's largest park and largest wetland ecological park. It is known as Xiamen's urban green lung. In March every year, a large number of egrets build nests and breed here. It is also an important station for migratory birds to migrate north and south. According to the functional plan, the park will have a wetland ecological nature reserve, a mangrove plant area, a bird viewing island, a leisure and sports area around the lake, etc.
