Xiamen has another name-"Egret Island", which is the habitat of egrets. The sea is in the city and the city is in the sea. This is the most unique thing about Xiamen. It is like Penglai embedded in the secular world, making people feel the leisurely and lazy spirit as soon as they walk in.
When visiting Xiamen, you don't have to enter a scenic spot to have beautiful scenery. In fact, it has many scenic spots that are free of charge and have few people. Walking on the streets of Xiamen, the handicrafts, snacks, and occasional encounters of cats and dogs on the roadside all give people a feeling of being away from the hustle and bustle. Xiamen lives in such a slow life. The ease and comfort make tourists reluctant to leave. Traveling in Xiamen, you don't need to be too serious. You can be very casual and follow your own casual footsteps to have a different three-day and two-night trip to Xiamen.
DAY1: Railway Station--Weiyou--Ru Mo--Zeng Cuo 'an--Xin Aqiang
Zengcuo 'an has transformed from a small fishing village into an Internet celebrity. It not only attracts tourists from other places, but even locals come here to visit. Not only are there a variety of delicious food here, but what is more attractive is the variety of B & Bs here. This time, the accommodation was arranged in Zengcuo 'an, which is rich in literature and art.
[Taste Friends·Xiamen Taste]
The friends who arrived before noon met near the train station to check in the old Xiamen flavor-Weiyou. Weiyou has been in business for more than 20 years. It can be said that it is known both inside and outside the island. The World Trade Center elevator can reach the fifth floor, and the glass window can provide a panoramic view of the train station. Outdoor is open, and you can order it individually from the window. If you want to order, you can walk into the lobby, which not only has the authentic Xiamen flavor, but also has a variety of seafood. Red brick walls, retro doorways, and old-fashioned eaves instantly give people the feeling of returning to old Xiamen.
The must-order Weiyou duck meat noodle line is made of red muscovy duck and dozens of traditional Chinese medicines stewed under slow fire. The taste is fresh and clear. When added to the already prepared handmade noodle line, a strong aroma strikes, and the noodle line is smooth but not greasy. The large pieces of duck meat are tender and tender without firewood. No wonder it is so famous.
Dongxingban shrimp dumplings are a very unique dish. The steaming temperature of Dongxingban is just right, which is much tender and tender. The paired shrimp dumplings and full of dragon meat in one bite are really satisfying.
Xiamen bamboo shoots soup, you can drink bamboo shoots while eating. It is more enjoyable than frozen and has more ingredients. It is delicious with a little garlic sauce, but many friends who come to Xiamen dare not eat it. It is a pity.
Deep baked seafood stewed with garlic. There are many varieties of seafood and are extremely fresh. Old clam, yellow croaker, flower clams... gather together on a plate, and one plate can satisfy the yearning for seafood.
cured taro pot. A friend who came to Xiamen said that he had never eaten such delicious taro. He ate three pieces at a time to satisfy his cravings. He was not too full and wanted to have two more pieces.
There are also local spoon fried, crispy soft-shell shrimp, Weiyou's homemade five-spice rolls, golden needle large intestine blood, dried fish pork knuckles... and other Xiamen specialty delicacies are all available. Come to Weiyou to taste Xiamen's specialty delicacies in one stop. Great.
[Ru Mo Designs Holiday Villa]
Rumo is only five minutes away from Zengcuo 'an, but it is as quiet as a paradise. You can take a taxi directly to the entrance of the hotel. The huge banana tree in front of the door is particularly eye-catching and can be seen from afar. The white and green are eye-catching. After checking in at the front desk, you will also remind you that breakfast is available here and there are options for A and B. Be sure to confirm with the front desk in advance.
This time, I chose a large bed room with a sea view. When entering the room, there will be two stairs, one black and one white. Walking up the white stairs, you can find that the names of each room are different, Hao 1, Hao 2...
As soon as I walked into the room, I was attracted by the romantic atmosphere. The main white space, bed, decorations, small tea maker, and a large bathtub. The floor-to-ceiling glass window not only allows you to see the sea view, but also allows you to soak in the bathtub and watch the stars. It is so beautiful that it is indescribable.
Not only is the room beautiful, but when you go outside, you can also take beautiful Internet celebrity blockbusters. There are also "sky mirrors" and rocking chairs on the rooftop. No matter boys or girls see such beautiful scenery, they have to take a photo.
There is also another surprise in this hotel. There is also a swimming pool behind the lobby on the first floor. Remember to bring your swimsuit when you come here. You can take buses 52 (1 yuan) and B2 (5 yuan) from the railway station. The taxi takes about 25 yuan.
[The Most Literary Bridge-Yuqiao]
The "most literary overpass" at the Zengcuo 'an intersection in Xiamen, known as "China's most literary fishing village", the "Fishbridge", looks like a fish bone and the structure of a traditional fishing boat because it has a century-old history of the local fishing village, and is called the "Fishbridge". One end of the "Yuqiao" connects Wenqing Road in Zengcuo 'an, and the other side is the Shengma Palace Theater and the wooden plank road on Huandao Road. Crossing the Fishbone Bridge, you can go for a walk to the seaside.
[Xiamen Calligraphy Square]
Walking along the beach, you can reach the semi-circle shape of the Calligraphy Square in about 5 minutes, facing the sea. There is a large sandy beach where you can play with sand and fly kites. There are not many people. There are still rocks on the beach and you can take photos. You can look at Xiamen's landmark building-the Twin Towers.
This square has many stone carvings of calligraphy stones."Book the island in mind and show the pride of the sea", with "using the sky as paper and the sea as ink." The artistic atmosphere is very strong, and you can also see old people writing here with clear water and writing brushes.
[Zeng Cuoan]
In the alleys of Zengcuo 'an's "Five Streets and Eighteen Alleys", it is like a maze. New-time tourists often feel dizzy when they come here, and enthusiastic B & B owners will arrange to go out to welcome them. If you just want to stroll around casually, in fact, the roads here are all connected. You will walk to the main road in a short while and you don't have to worry about getting lost. Walking in Zengcuo 'an, in addition to the ancient brick houses in southern Fujian, the most popular places are temples. Tianshang Shengma Palace on the beach, Yonghu Palace on the back side of the Zengcuo' an Bus Station, Fuhai Palace at the entrance of the village, Qiming Temple on the back side, the Zeng Ancestral Temple inside... It can be said that it is also a beautiful scenery.
There are not only B & Bs everywhere, but also delicious food. There are also places with petty bourgeoisie atmosphere that are fascinating. The purpose of coming here is to walk around casually, have a look, taste, and unique customs will always make people obsessed.
[Xin 'aqiang Zeng Cuo' an Food Stall]
For dinner, we chose Xin 'aqiang Zengcuo' an Food Stall, a two-story restaurant that was unexpectedly clean and comfortable. We ordered the order in the seafood pool. Then the service staff brought it in very thoughtfully and served the tea. The set meal we ordered this time was not small, and there was also a lot of seafood. Unexpectedly, the table was filled with 100 yuan per person.
Lobster with sand tea, Xiamen's specialty sand tea boiled lobster, the lobster is fresh with the flavor of sand tea, and the soup is super delicious when used with bibimbap.
Steaming crab with rice cakes with cream is very unique. I thought that only Jiangnan did this, but I didn't expect to eat it in Xiamen. It's full of cream and thick meat. After eating the crabs, the rice cakes feel even more delicious than the crabs.
Steamed deep-sea spotted fish. I love steamed fish. The chef knows how to steam it. The fish is tender and juicy, and what I eat is the original flavor.
Small abalone with soy sauce and water is the most traditional way in Xiamen. It may seem simple, but in fact, it is not easy to mix the taste well. This little abalone is tender and tender, and the more you eat it, the more you like it.
There are also boiled Dongshan small tubes, steamed scallops with garlic vermicelli, signature Tong 'an Feng meat, oyster fried, etc., which are all very delicious. The key point is freshness. When you come to Zengcuo' an, you must try the restaurants listed in the Food Forest.
I had a good dinner, so of course I had to digest it. Visiting Zengcuo 'an at night also had a unique flavor and could also digest digestion.
DAY2: Nanputuo--Maojie--Chibao--Shapowei--Overseas Chinese Museum--Siyu--Zhongshan Road--Jiang Mother Duck Qiang Fried Crab
Although Rumo is next to Zeng 'an's house, it is a rare and peaceful place. He sleeps well at night and wakes up naturally. He eats the breakfast provided in the B & B before going out. The first stop is to Nanputuo, a thousand-year-old temple. It costs about 10 yuan to take a taxi from Zeng Cuo 'an to Nanputuo. There are also many buses. It takes about 5 minutes to walk to Nanputuo by taking a taxi from Xiamen University Xicun Station.
[Nanputuo]
Nanputuo, named after it is located south of Putuo Temple, was built in the late Tang Dynasty and called Sizhou Temple. It was renamed Puzhao Temple during the Zhiping period of the Song Dynasty. In the early years of the Ming Dynasty, the temple was deserted and was not rebuilt until the Kangxi period of the Qing Dynasty. When you come to Nanputuo, you must not miss the Qianlong Imperial Monument on the left behind the entrance gate. It is easy to forget its existence in a separate space.
After entering the mountain gate, there are many incense collection points on the road. The key point is that there is no charge and each person has a stick of incense. The incense here cannot be brought into the temple. You need to worship in front of the main hall, insert the incense into the incense burner, and then enter the temple.
The Hall of Kings is at the front of the main hall. The smiling Maitreya Buddha is enshrined in the middle of the front hall. On both sides are the four great kings looking around angrily. Behind the hall, there is Weituo Bodhisattva standing with his palms pressed against the pestle, looking extremely powerful.
The Daxiong Hall is the center of the entire temple and has the characteristics of a typical Buddhist hall in southern Fujian. The center of the hall is dedicated to a tall statue of the Three World Honored Buddha, and the back of the hall is dedicated to the Three Western Saints. The side hall is dedicated to 18 Arhats.
The Hall of Great Compassion is a relatively unique building with octagonal triple flying eaves. Each place is very exquisitely designed. The center of the hall is dedicated to the Goddess of Mercy Bodhisattva, and the other sides are 48-armed Goddess of Mercy. It is beautiful in shape and diverse in postures.
Finally, there is the Sutra Depository, which is a double-storey pavilion. It is not open now, so you can view it from a distance.
There are also many cliff stone carvings and wishing ponds behind the mountain. People with good physical strength can also climb to Wulaofeng, or enjoy the scenery of Xiamen from the observation deck on the mountain.
If you are tired from walking, you can walk to the pavilion next to the lotus pond and rest for a while. The breeze is very comfortable.
[Ding 'ao Zai Mao Street]
Walking from Nanputuo, you can go straight for about 100 meters to reach the Internet celebrity Ding 'ao Tsai Cat Street. When you first hear about Cat Street, you will think that you can see all kinds of cute cats on the road. When you walk to Jinmao Street, you will find that these cats are on the wall.
Walking into the Cat Street is like being in the world of cats. The cat graffiti is lifelike, and every corner of the street smells of cats. The walls, lights, bunting, window sills... If you look carefully, you will find that the smell of cats is omnipresent. Here, cats are everywhere, squatting, sitting, or sticking out their heads at the entrance of the alley to welcome arriving guests with playful and cute figures. The strange demeanor of the elves makes passers-by stop and lean against the wall to take photos.
About 20 meters down Cat Street, there is a cat museum where you can get in close contact with real cats. However, in order to protect cats, you cannot enter the cat train without making an appointment.
The Cat Museum not only has a cat train, but also a shop that sells cat-shaped gifts sold here. It has all kinds of cat puppets, daily necessities, handicrafts, cat painting posters, etc. You can sit and rest here when you are tired from walking.
[Shapo Wei Eat Fort]
Walking out of Maojie, you will see Shapowei on the right. For lunch, I chose Shapowei's Chibao. This building not only brings together various snacks from Xiamen, but also snacks from Zhangzhou and Quanzhou. It's really easy to enjoy them all in one stop. However, with so many snacks, you must invite a few more friends to share them.
The Chibao built by Xiamen Light Industry Group is located in the core area of Xiamen Shapowei Fisherman's Wharf. It gathers famous snacks from all over Xiazhang Spring. It has three floors and dozens of snacks. Each floor has a different style of snacks. If you want to try them all, remember to bring a big eater. On the right hand side of the first floor of Chibao is the service desk, where service staff can inquire. The payment method can be paid by swiping Weixin Pay or applying for a card.
In addition to eating, you should also remember to watch puppet shows. It performs regularly on the first floor. Wu Song fights tigers, seventh-grade sesame officials... both big friends and children are fascinated.
In Xiamen, every eighth month of the lunar calendar is a festival for Bo cakes. The big red bowl right across the door is used for Bo cakes. If you happen to come to Xiamen in August, you must come and experience the fun of a national Bo cakes.
Of course, you have to start eating after watching the performance. There are various snacks on the 1st to 3rd floors, such as oyster fried, sand tea noodles, soy sauce ice cream, bamboo shoots jelly, noodle paste... Wow, there are countless delicious ones, so just see them. Order and taste them together.
Xiamen pancakes are a traditional local snack. They are soft and thin spring roll skins and are wrapped in stir-fried fillings such as cabbage, carrot, pork belly, etc. The taste is soft and smooth, delicious but not greasy, and the flavor is unique.
Oyster Pan is a snack that is characteristic and common in Xiamen. Oyster Pan, egg, and sweet potato flour are mixed together. I can only see two large pots being fried constantly. After a while, one piece and two sides are golden, and the Oyster Pan with the aroma of egg will be out of the pot. You just need to dip it in a little sweet spicy sauce to perfectly reflect the delicious taste of Oyster Pan.
Anhai bamboo shoot jelly is not only delicious, but the rice cake is great. The fried rice cake is crispy on the outer skin and soft on the inside. After eating one piece, I want to eat another piece. There are large and small portions that can be eaten by multiple people.
Hui 'an, Quanzhou, is rich in sweet potatoes (sweet potatoes). The food made from sweet potatoes is particularly large and very unique. Especially sweet potato flour here. The cooked food is crystal clear and the Q-bomb is tough. Hui 'an is close to the sea. Sweet potato flour is wrapped in oysters, dried fish, etc. and boiled or fried. It is a delicacy on the table.
The skin of Xinwangwang steamed buns is as thin as paper, and the taste is richer when dipped in spicy oil. This soup dumpling is different from the ones in Shanghai and Wuxi. The meat is as mud and has a small amount of green vegetables. It has a sweet taste in the mouth.
There are also hand-shredded chicken, fish cake, white duck soup, four-fruit soup... everything is good. It was so happy to have more people gather together and gather all the delicious food in Xiazhang Spring.
[Shapowei]
Of course, when you come out of the burger, you have to visit the Internet celebrity Shapowei. Along the way, there are small shops, coffee shops, etc. with a refreshing design. Walking quietly on the road, admiring the people coming and going, and the various poses of beautiful women is also an alternative scenery.
From Shapo Wei, you can also see Xiamen's landmark buildings from a distance. They shine in the sun and are so dazzling.
Walking from Shapo Wei, you will reach University Road to Honeycomb Mountain Road. The bustling vegetable market, the hot aroma of sand tea can always be smelled in the streets and alleys, and food stalls that become more beautiful with the night. Occasionally, there is the salty smell of seawater in the air. This may be the smell of old Xiamen...
[Huaqiao Museum]
You can see a history museum with ethnic characteristics when you turn around from Honeycomb Mountain Road. This is an Overseas Chinese Museum founded by Mr. Chen Jiageng, an overseas Chinese leader. This is a small tourist attraction with few people coming and air conditioning. It is a good place to escape the heat in the hot summer.
[Notice for visitors: Huaqiao Museum is free of charge without tickets
Opening hours: Tuesday to Sunday 9:30 a.m. ----PM: 16:30 Closed on Monday
Location: Located on the west side of Fengchao Mountain in Xiamen City, Fujian Province (Bus Station: Museum Station)]
The Overseas Chinese Museum was initiated by Mr. Chen Jiageng with donations. It was completed in May 1959 and officially opened to the public. As of March 2017, the exhibition area is 2400 square meters, displaying more than 1200 pieces of various materials and photos, more than 2000 pieces of precious cultural relics, and more than 1000 pieces of various rare birds, beasts, and aquatic specimens.
It adopts a granite palace-style building with 6 floors in the main building and 3 floors in the exhibition hall. It is displayed in three exhibition halls: "Overseas Chinese","Chen Jiageng's Collected Cultural Relics Exhibition" and "Nature Museum". Walking from the steps to the main entrance is the "Overseas Chinese" exhibition hall, which is divided into parts such as going global, starting businesses overseas, integrating local areas, taking root, and having a long history. Use pictures and objects to introduce the life of overseas Chinese abroad and their contribution to the motherland.
The "Chen Jiageng Collection of Cultural Relics Exhibition" mainly displays bronzes, ceramics, calligraphy and paintings, etc. "Nature Museum" is a simulated natural ecological environment, mainly containing specimens of birds and animals, aquatic products, and large crocodiles. Very worth a visit.
[Siyu Fujian Cuisine]
When you arrive in Xiamen, you want to eat Xiamen's specialties. Not only is the seafood delicious, but some local specialties are also very attractive. Xiamen's specialty ginger duck and fried crab are must-eat. Xiamen's Zhongshan Road is not only prosperous, but also full of delicious food. In Siyu Fujian cuisine at the intersection of Zhongshan Road, people love everything, but even celebrities have to come here to enjoy a meal.
Siyu Fujian cuisine, which is very easy to find, is not far from the entrance of Zhongshan Road and at the intersection of Zhenbang Road. The Fujian-style facade is filled with posters of celebrities taking photos at the store. It is really eye-catching. In the seafood pool that comes to your eyes, there are many varieties of seafood, and each item is clearly priced, and the price is also very affordable. If you don't know how to order, you can also choose a set meal.
The map on the left hand side of the introduction introduces Xiamen's specialties, and you can also take a selfie here. The retro Southern Fujian flavor in the hall also gives people the feeling of returning to old Xiamen. There are not many private rooms here, so you may need to book in advance.
The seafood restaurant, which focuses on Fujian cuisine, has Xiamen's specialties. A must-order dish for ginger duck, you can choose the size according to the number of people. The duck meat here is soft but not rotten, the skin is thin and crispy and slightly sweet, and it is not greasy at all. Chew it with the meat, the more fragrant it becomes. The ginger smells just right. This time, my friends even ate the ginger. The ginger mother was immersed in duck oil, which lost the spicy taste and added a hint of aroma.
Pan-fried crab is also a must-eat dish in Xiamen. The most critical point of frying crab is to control the heat. If the heat is too high, it will easily fry the crab meat, but if the heat is too small, it will not taste. When the fried crabs are out of the pan with the right heat, the crab shells are shiny and oily, and the crab shells are bright red. The aroma of crab meat comes to your nostrils, making people's fingers move. Look at the color, it is very tempting. The meat is firm and Q-bullet, and the crab paste is hard and full. It is very fresh when you enter the mouth.
Steamed tiger patch, steamed seafood is the original taste and delicious. The tiger patch is steamed at the right time. The fish is thick, firm, delicate and delicious, and it is quickly divided.
Boiled sea shrimp, Xiamen's characteristic sand tea seafood pot, old Xiamen's characteristic meat swallow soup... are all very delicious and surprising. No wonder even celebrities come to check in.
[Zhongshan Road]
Of course, if you have enough to eat and drink, you should visit Xiamen's Zhongshan Road, facing the sea garden "Gulangyu". Qilou Street on Zhongshan Road is a representative of Xiamen's architectural culture. Most of these buildings were built by overseas Chinese returning to their hometown in the 1920s. This street retains its original appearance and has not been built much.
Most of the shops on both sides are shopping malls and gift shops, while in the side alleys are mostly seafood restaurants. At night, Zhongshan Road is brightly lit and crowded with people. Strolling around the streets casually, admiring all kinds of customs.
[Strong fried crab with ginger duck]
After walking around Zhongshan Road and looking at the bustling seafood stalls, I also wanted to fill my stomach. When I turned from Zhongshan Road to Si Dong Road, I saw the extremely popular ginger mother duck and strong fried crab. It has a small three-story building and slightly smaller stairs, but it is indeed very popular. Looking at the menu, I found that there are a variety of Xiamen snacks, and they are old seafood and Fujian dishes, but I ordered fewer snacks for supper.
There are all kinds of chilled and fresh delicacies on the first floor, and photos of chefs and celebrities taking pictures on the walls are also hung. The simple decoration on the second and third floors does have a refreshing feeling. Sitting against the wall on the third floor can also enjoy the people coming and going downstairs.
Seafood porridge, with fresh shrimp and squid added, is just the right thickness. Serve a bowl at night to warm your heart and stomach. With the freshness of seafood, you can drink three bowls in one go.
Let's have another Xiamen Oyster Pancake and handmade five-spice rolls. The five-spice here is the best I have ever eaten. The crispy skin, with tender meat, horseshoe and other ingredients, makes people unforgettable in one bite.
Those who didn't like porridge ordered Shacha Three Fresh Noodles. How could they not eat Shacha Noodles when they came to Xiamen? The ingredients in the restaurant were more abundant, and the soup was also very rich, with the aroma of peanuts. It's really suitable to serve a bowl on a night like this.
In fact, the ginger duck and crab here are also signature names, but I want to eat some porridge noodles for midnight dinner. I will come back and taste it next time to end this fulfilling and happy day with delicious food.
DAY3: Eight Cities--Zhongshan Road--Dongyuan Private Kitchen--Zhongshan Park--Huaxin Road--Duck Pot
Today's first stop is Xiamen's specialty vegetable markets and eight cities. We come here for food without eating in the morning. You can take Bus No. 29 to Lujiang Road to Bashi City, and turn to Kaihe Road (Bashi City). You can also take a taxi directly.
[Eight Cities]
When you arrive in eight cities, you can see the life of local people visiting the food market in the morning. The popularity is really strong, and the seafood stalls along the way are really dazzling. There are really many people, and as the crowd moves forward, there are seafood stalls along the way. It looks really greedy.
The eight cities have the shadow of old Xiamen. When you come here early in the morning to go shopping and eat snacks, you can also see the local cultural landscape. Every morning here, fishing boats dock one after another. After bargaining with fishermen, the freshly caught seafood is sent to Bashi in baskets after baskets. There are many local people who come to buy in the eight cities, which have a lot of fresh seafood.
Walking from Kaihe Road, you will find that in addition to seafood, there are also snack stalls, Xiamen ancient zao-flavor rice dumplings, fried fruits... Welcome people who come here early and have not eaten. Eat a meat rice dumpling for breakfast and then a five-spice strip to satisfy the taste buds. The snacks here are really good.
When you come out of Bashi City and turn right, you can see Ajizai, a time-honored brand in Xiamen. It is very popular. People usually choose this place for accompanying gifts. It is very affordable and is a popular restaurant for locals.
[Zhongshan Road]
From eight cities, you will arrive at Zhongshan Road. During the day, Zhongshan Road has a unique style. From Datong Road to Siming Road, the Nanyang Arcade buildings are very well preserved. At the Siming Cinema on the corner...
Xiaozouma Road was originally an unknown mountain road. Zheng Chenggong often ran horses on the road when training here. The common people called it Xiaozouma Road. The archway of "Zebei Gantang" and the square couplet of "Gulang patrolled the river for a long time, and the car crossing the Lujiang River proves the Five Fates" can verify the majestic demeanor of the national hero.
Zhongshan Road is 1.2 kilometers long. Taiguang Street near the center is the first church. It is the Christian New Street Chapel in Xiamen City. The white church is particularly eye-catching under the blue sky. The white-domed Romanesque building was completed in 1848. There are six round pillars in front of the main lobby, and a hexagonal bell tower on the red slope roof.
You can stroll slowly on Zhongshan Road and can't help but walk to Sidong Road. There are not only a vegetable market here, but also old villas. Lunch will be here to enjoy a good meal in Xiamen.
[1927 Dongyuan Private Kitchen]
The 1927 Dongyuan Private Kitchen is a nearly century-old villa. Now it has become a private kitchen restaurant, allowing people to discover its true colors.
Dongyuan Private Kitchen is hidden at No. 65 Siming East Road, nearby Zhongshan Park and Zhongshan Road. The retro ancient gate, the three-story building, the courtyard has a garden and pond... It is as elegant as Suzhou gardens, but it is a good place to take photos. The entrance on the first floor is the front desk, and there are boxes of different sizes on the 1st to 3rd floors. There are also viewing spaces on the balcony. Each place is very exquisitely designed. Although it opened not long ago, many stars have come here to check in, and the entry star wall is eye-catching.
Dining here is by reservation, and there are also group meals suitable for 2-4 people. The four small plates before the meal are exquisite and each has its own characteristics, both appetizing and delicious.
The signature fairy chicken is supplied in limited quantities. The aroma can be smelled as soon as it is served. The chicken is very soft and smooth, and the bones will be peeled off with a gentle pull. The tenderness in the entrance is amazing.
The villa's salt grilled fish looks like a large piece of overbaked bread. After adding wine to cook it, and then cracking the skin, it is discovered that it is a grilled fish. The fish wrapped in salt has the fish flavor locked under the skin, maintaining the original flavor.
Steamed glutinous rice with cream crab is a delicacy at banquets in southern Fujian. The crab filled with fat and tender paste is cut open and placed on the glutinous rice. The glutinous rice that absorbs the crab flavor is often more attractive than the crab.
The signature pork roast abalone has a very large abalone on the top and three layers of braised pork on the bottom. When the fresh juice of the abalone is integrated into the aroma of the meat, the fresh meat is connected, and each piece has a unique aroma.
French-baked snails, French meringue wrap the mouth of the snails. The snails inside have a light mustard flavor and a hint of spicy taste, but it does not choke. The taste is excellent.
There are also crab meat and Neptune tofu pot, matcha cereal shrimp, thousands of miles fragrance, seaweed fried rice, arugula soup... everything is a surprise.
[Zhongshan Park] Zhongshan Park and Dongyuan Private Kitchen were built in 1927. This is an open park with four east, south, west and north gates. The south gate is the most spectacular. From Zhongshan Road, you will walk to the south gate. The park has pavilions, small bridges and flowing water. It not only has the scenery of an ordinary park, but also has a zoo. The most special scenery in this park is Kuixing Mountain.
Kuixing Mountain was originally the back garden of Xingquan Yongdao Office in Fujian Province in the Qing Dynasty. After entering the south gate of Zhongshan Park, walk to the left side and follow a slender path leading to the mountains. After walking in, you can see many cliff carvings in the mountain.
There stands a stone several feet high on Kuixing Mountain. It is steep and straight, shaped like a Kuixing, hence the name Kuixing Stone. There is also a hexagonal pavilion on the mountain, facing Kuixing Shiyao. It is Kuixing Pavilion. Most of the Qing Dynasty stone carvings such as "Thousands of Gulls and Cloud Roots","Clouds and Clouds","Skinny Pines and Fat Stones", and "Three Patrolling Lujiang" were stone carvings left behind by coming to Xiamen's Daotai at that time, recording the exclamations and difficulties at that time. Every word may be a historical allusions or a philosophy of life with profound implications. These stone carvings also engrave a page of vicissitudes memories in Xiamen's modern history.
You can sit and rest for a while on Kuixing Mountain. There is a cool breeze. Take a look at the scenery and have a unique flavor.
[Huaxin Road]
Walking down the mountain, walking around the park, leaving the west gate, you will reach Huaxin Road. Huaxin Road is like Xiaogulangyu, full of old villas. This was once a place where returned overseas Chinese settled. The construction of the old villas is similar and the preservation is relatively complete.
Although the scenery is good, there are relatively few tourists. This is also a place that locals like to visit. It has more tranquility and less hustle and bustle. Ordinary tourists rarely come here. If they are not led by locals, they will miss out on it. The best place to take photos.
Here, the green trees are tall and straight, and the branches are covered with firecrackers flowers and bougainvillea. The walls on both sides of the road have long been occupied by green leaves and flowers, and the courtyard is also full of greenery and vitality. Compared with Gulangyu, the buildings here are more simple and have a sense of isolation from the world.
A villa may have a story, which is like poetic life that requires walking slowly and tasting carefully. Here, you can quietly admire the different Xiamen and take a different taste.
[Paste Duck Pot·Old Xiamen Style Hot Pot]
When traveling to Xiamen, of course, I want to eat Xiamen's specialty snacks and specialties. Many people may say that I have eaten ginger duck before. Isn't it just duck? But have you ever tried ginger duck hot pot?
There is a unique hot pot restaurant at the end of Xiaxi Road, which meets Zhongshan Road. A row of red lights says paste duck pot, which makes people wonder what it is for? Walking into the alley, you can clearly see fresh seafood placed in the window. It may feel like a restaurant for eating seafood, but in fact, this is a hot pot restaurant with a unique Xiamen flavor.
The duck pot·Old Xiamen-style hot pot is really very unique. The store is not big, but when you walk on the second floor, you will suddenly see it suddenly. There is not only a lobby, but also a private box. The clean and tidy environment is comfortable.
The duck paste pot is mainly used to paste the duck bottom with ginger duck. When the ginger duck bottom is served, the aroma of ginger mother and duck meat wafts past, which cannot help but seduce the greedy insects. The fresh cream crabs are removed and cut open.
