The trip to Xiamen, which was planned many years ago, finally took place this year. At the end of July, after our children finished taking the piano and drum sets exams, we began to pack our luggage, and the air tickets and hotels had been booked in advance.
On the morning of the 31st, our family boarded a plane from Kunming to Xiamen. After 2 hours and 50 minutes, the plane finally arrived at Gaoqi Airport in Xiamen.
Domestic flights arrive at Terminal T4. When you pick up your luggage and take it out, there is an airport bus ticketing point at the door. You can buy airport bus tickets to the International Cruise Center Terminal (also known as Dongdu Wharf and Xiagu Wharf). This line will pass through the Ferry Terminal (also known as the First Pier).
The airport bus departs from Terminal T4 and takes a long time to arrive at Terminal T3. I heard from the driver that T3 is a terminal that includes domestic arrivals from Xiamen Airlines, China Southern Airlines and Hebei Airlines, as well as international flights, Hong Kong, Macao and Taiwan flights. T3 and T4 are more than 4 kilometers apart and it takes more than 30 minutes on foot. Therefore, when purchasing a round-trip ticket to Xiamen, you must see which terminal it is. The airport bus only picked up one person at T3, and then passed T3 before actually leaving the airport and entering the city. When the bus pulls out of Terminal T4, the scenery on both sides of the bus looks the same as when you take the bus out of Sanya Phoenix Airport.
After a long time, the airport bus arrived at Datong Crossing, where the airport bus ferry terminal station was located. Get off the bus and take a look. On the left side of Datong Crossing is the ticket office for the airport bus. There is a waiting hall inside, where you can buy tickets and take the bus to the airport. On the right side of Datong Crossing is Samsung's Chunguang Hotel. The standard room price usually costs more than 200 yuan, but during the summer vacation it all rises to more than 400 yuan. Opposite the highway at Datong Crossing is the ferry terminal. There are underground passage entrances on the left and right sides of Datong Crossing, allowing you to go across the highway. On the right side of Chunguang Hotel is the Customs Anti-Smuggling Bureau, and beyond it is the intersection of Zhongshan Road Commercial Pedestrian Street. Zhongshan Road and Datong Road are connected, just like a tic-shaped cross. The vertical line on the left is Datong Road, and the vertical line on the right is Zhongshan Road.
The Peninsula One Hotel we booked is located on Datong Road. Turn on your mobile phone navigation at the intersection of Datong, walk straight along Datong Road, and you will arrive at the hotel in about 5 minutes. The hotel has an elevator, so I went through the formalities at the front desk. When I came to my room and opened the door, I still felt a little disappointed. After all, there were more than 260 standard rooms a day. Although the room has windows (no screens, the windows are sliding windows, and a single leaf can be pushed open less than ten centimeters), air conditioning, hair dryers, and wet and dry zones, the room is really too small, with a very small table for places. Everything is crowded. The market situation during the summer vacation is like this. The usual number of tens or hundreds has now increased to more than 200, and some even have no windows. So when you take your children out to play at this time, you can just choose a similar one, except for local tyrants.
Putting down our luggage and taking a short rest, we left the hotel and headed for Xiamen University Baicheng Beach and Huli Mountain Battery. These two attractions are both in the same direction and are very close, which takes half a day. Cross the underground passage at Datong Road Crossing. The left exit opposite the underground passage leads to the Ferry Bus Station, and the right exit leads to the Ferry Post Office Bus Station. The two stations are so close to each other, the difference between the two words makes it easy to get confused by taking a bus when you first came to Xiamen. These are the two bus stops opposite the Datong Crossing Highway. You can take buses here to go to Xiamen University and Nanputuo. That's just a highway. The bus stop at the entrance of the underground passage on the right of Datong Crossing is the Ferry Post Office Bus Station. Twenty to thirty meters ahead to the right is the Ferry Bus Station. It's here to go to the Xiamen Science and Technology Museum and the International Cruise Center Terminal. Take a bus.
We crossed the underground passage at Datong Road Crossing, took No. 29 at the ferry bus stop opposite the road to Xiamen University Baicheng Beach. After getting off the bus, we walked straight forward along the sidewalk. The sea breeze was blowing. Although the sun was strong, we didn't feel hot. On the right side of the sidewalk is the beach.

When you reach the corner of the main road, you have to walk up the road to reach the entrance of Huli Mountain Battery. Otherwise, you have to turn right and walk straight into the seaside plank road to the foot of Huli Mountain Battery, but you can't enter the Huli Mountain Battery.
Hulishan Battery Main Gate
Outside the Hulishan Fort ticketing window, use WeChat to scan the code to purchase tickets. Each ticket will receive five archery shots. Buy a ticket and enter the gate and go up the stairs on the right. Then enter through the gate in the picture below. You can just watch the performance that starts at 4 p.m. The 18-minute performance is very exciting and worth seeing. Listen to the music and watch the performance. You can Feel the kind of Cangsang changes in history.

Next up was the King of Hurishan's Gun: the German-made Krupp Steel Cannon, which is said to have a range of 16 kilometers.

Shimao Seaview Twin Towers (Xiamen's New Landmark) from Huli Mountain Fort
Get off from Huli Mountain Battery and walk into the Huli Mountain Battery Parking Lot. There is a public toilet behind the parking lot. If you go down, you will pass a Chinese restaurant and there is a staircase next to you to the seaside plank road. This Chinese restaurant is much more affordable than the restaurant on the plank road downstairs.
There is a row of faucets next to the plank road under the stairs. Many tourists who are playing on the beach will wash their hands and wash their feet here. There is a charge here. It is 2 yuan per person, regardless of adults and children. Children wash their butts here. The charge is 5 yuan, and 10 yuan for flushing the whole body. Walking along the plank road, someone picked up a small water pipe somewhere and charged 10 yuan to flush the foot, but very few people washed it. Doesn't everyone know that you can wash the pool outside the public toilet for free by going up the stairs next to the 2 yuan flushing point?

Taking my children to play in the water by the beach, I carefully discovered that there was a long sewage pipe under the beach not far away, as thick as the barrel of the Krupp cannon. Looking at the direction, it seemed to come from Xiamen University. The Baicheng Beach mentioned on the Internet was the sewage outlet of Xiamen University. I don't know if it was true or not. I quickly asked my children to leave the water. When I saw some tourists still swimming and playing in the water at the outlet of the sewage pipe. There were adults and children, my mood became complicated.
Coming from Baicheng Beach, take No. 29 at the Hulishan Battery Bus Station opposite the road and return to the Ferry Post Office Station.
The next morning, we had breakfast at Yuehua Shacha Noodles on Datong Road, which was one word different from the Yuehua Shacha Noodles in the online celebrity shop. We ordered a bowl of Shacha Noodles for 35 yuan, a bowl of peanut soup for 10 yuan, and a roasted meat dumpling for 8 yuan. It was enough for three people. After breakfast, go to the ferry bus station and take No. 25 to Xiamen Science and Technology Museum. All tickets sold online are set tickets. Tickets for the main exhibition hall can only be bought at the Science and Technology Museum. The adult ticket is 40 yuan and the child is half price. The total is 100 yuan for three people. If you bring your children to Xiamen for a tour, you must come to the Science and Technology Museum. You will not be disappointed.
The main exhibition hall contains four major exhibition halls: the Harmony Development Hall, the Creation and Civilization Hall, the Exploration and Discovery Hall, and the Ocean Cradle Hall. It is open from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. every Tuesday to Sunday, and closed on Monday. The main exhibition hall has a lot of content. The children have been playing in it for 5 hours and are still not satisfied and are reluctant to leave.
The bridge is still, but the stars are spinning. Why can't people stand steadily on the bridge?
Mirror Maze
When you get out of the Science and Technology Museum, take No. 116 at the bus stop where you just got off, get off at Wenzao Station, and then change to No. 1 to Nanputuo of Xiamen University, which is the South Gate of Xiamen University. I was told by the security guard at the school gate that you need to make an appointment three days in advance to visit the school. Previously, I learned online that Xiamen University was open all day during the winter and summer holidays. I mistakenly thought that there was no need to make an appointment. As a result, I was told at the scene that I still had to make an appointment in advance, so I would make an appointment for tomorrow immediately. Who knows that not only will there be no one for tomorrow, but there will be no one for the day after tomorrow. What does it mean? Looking at the number of tourists stopped outside the school gate, I found that most tourists who wanted to visit the campus brought their children. If it was just a man or sister, who would visit the campus?
Stay outside the school gate for a while and check the situation, and scalpers will come up. Moreover, what the scalpers say will make you difficult to distinguish between true and false. I didn't expect scalpers to breed in the pure land of the campus, so I had to give up.
Take a photo at the gate to end your trip to Xiamen University.
I stopped by to visit Nanputuo Temple next door, where there are quite a few tourists.

Then take a bus back to Zhongshan Road in Nanputuo to find delicious food.
On the morning of the third day, I took dry food and went to the ferry bus station and took Route 51 to the International Cruise Center Terminal. After getting off the bus, I crossed the road and took a overpass to arrive at the International Cruise Center Terminal.
We purchased the 8:30 ticket in advance on the Xiamen Ferry Company's Weixin Official Accounts (booking tickets one week in advance). If it is a one-day trip, we can buy the ticket for Sanqiutian Wharf. If you want to stay in Gulangyu, it is best to buy the ticket for Neicuo Wharf, because most of the accommodation on the island is concentrated on Neicuo, but it is far from Longtou Road.
The International Cruise Center Terminal is a boat terminal for foreign tourists to Gulangyu Island. It takes more than ten minutes to reach Sanqiutian Wharf on Gulangyu Island. Returning from Gulangyu Island during the day will also return to the International Cruise Center Terminal. If you return at night, you will return to the Ferry Terminal, which is very close to Zhongshan Road and Datong Road, can be reached in 5 minutes. Foreign tourists also go to Gulangyu by boat at the ferry terminal at night.
Coming out of Sanqiutian Pier, our route is Bagua Tower (Organ Museum)-Riguang Rock-Shuzhuang Garden (Piano Museum)-Haoyue Garden-Longtou Road Snack Street-Underwater World-Sanqiutian Pier
There is a 5 yuan ticket for selling maps on the boat that comes to Gulangyu. In fact, the airport also has a free map of Gulangyu. I picked up one as soon as I got off the plane. The core attractions of Gulangyu are the places mentioned on the route above, excluding the underwater world. Because I brought my children here to play, I decided to go on a whim.
I bought joint tickets for several core attractions at Bagua Tower. The price is 90 yuan for adults. Children can only buy half-price tickets at each attraction separately.

He collected these pianos from all over the world and are now estimated to be worth hundreds of millions, but they were all donated to the country.
Gulangyu Island in Xiamen is worthy of being called the "Island of Piano" and the "Hometown of Music." On the way to Haoyue Garden, you saw two music schools.

The trip to Xiamen ended on the fourth day and flew back to Kunming.
The summary experience of this trip to Xiamen is as follows: The core accommodation circle is Zhongshan Road and Datong Road near the ferry terminal. The core attractions of must-visit are Xiamen Science and Technology Museum, Xiamen University, Hulishan Fort, Gulangyu's Organ Museum and Piano Museum, and Sunguang Rock.
