2020 is a special year. After staying at home for half a year, I was still a little hesitant about whether I could take my daughter on a vacation during the summer vacation. Seeing that the summer vacation was about to pass, I finally made up my mind to take my daughter to Xi'an alone.

I temporarily booked a 4-day and 3-night free travel in Xi'an at Ctrip, and after a brief guide, the mother and daughter set out.

about accommodations

Since only the mother and daughter traveled and there were no porters, the itinerary was mainly labor-saving. Accommodation is booked at the Novotel Bell Tower Hotel. It takes only a 5-minute walk to Bell Tower Subway Station on Line 2 and more than 10 minutes on foot to Hui Street. It is very convenient to travel. After arriving in Xi'an on the first day, I went to the hotel to check in. Although it was not yet noon, the front desk still gave me a room early and told me that there would be free afternoon tea every afternoon. Unfortunately, we played outside in the afternoon and didn't enjoy it once.

about traffic

Pick-up and drop-off: They are all booked in advance at Ctrip, and the drivers wait in advance, which is very worry-saving and labor-saving.

Attractions: I read on the Internet before that if you can take the subway in Xi'an, you shouldn't take a taxi. I really deeply realized it. It's really too congested. Although the subway has to scan the health code and purchase tickets when entering the station (my daughter's mobile phone can't set the bus code well, but fortunately it's very convenient to buy tickets at the subway station), the advantage is that there will be no traffic jams. Basically, all attractions in the city and the subway can be reached.

about gourmet

Noodles: Whether it is oil-sprinkled noodles, biangbiang noodles, pants belt noodles, they are all delicious, even those from a roadside restaurant are delicious. It looks like a lot of chili noodles are sprinkled on it, but in fact it is not spicy at all. My daughter who doesn't even eat spicy at all, also rushed to eat noodles with me. Before leaving, she finished another big bowl at the airport. It was really not enough to eat it.

Roujiamo: I only ate it once, and I felt it was dry and didn't like it. Although I also saw someone on the Internet saying that Roujiamo must have soup leaking onto the bun to make it taste bad, after trying it once, I never wanted to try Roujiamo again.

Mutton steamed buns: I was very tired from playing, so I didn't try to break the steamed buns by myself. I ordered the ones I had already broken. I didn't find it particularly oily or undelicious, nor did I find it particularly delicious. It felt so ordinary, but I felt that the sweet garlic was delicious.

Sour soup dumplings: On a hot day, the sour soup base is very appetizing and delicious.

Sheep blood soup: Dried with mashed garlic, no mutton smell, very delicious.

Shaanxi XIII: Known as Haagen Dazs in Xi'an, he still didn't have the courage to try the spicy flavor. He only ate ordinary ones, which were very good, and the chocolate tiger charm biscuits were also very delicious.

Gourd chicken: It's a little oily and tastes okay, but it doesn't feel like it's my dish. My daughter and I only ate half of it, which is a bit wasteful. It's really inconvenient for the two to order.

I have tasted basically all the delicacies mentioned on the Internet, but I don't seem to have any special impressions of anything else. In addition, I would like to complain about the homemade drinks in all scenic spots. They are really sweet. I am a native of Shanghai and am already extremely fond of sweets, but I still think those drinks are too sweet to swallow. After trying this in many restaurants, I finally gave up trying and switched to bottled drinks. In contrast, cola felt so refreshing.

About playing

On the afternoon of the first day in Xi'an, I first went to Xi'an's highlight: Shaanxi History Museum. Shaanxi Expo is free of charge and requires an appointment in advance on the Weixin Official Accounts. However, I paid attention to it for a few days, and every day was "full", so I gave up and spent money online to book Shaanxi Expo for half a day. I will book tickets on my behalf and pick up tickets with my ID card at the door (children can manually enter their ID number to pick up tickets).

As soon as Shaanxi Expo came out, we went to Hui Street. It was crowded with people. It was enough to go once and experience it. Hui Street is behind the Drum Tower. I took a look at the night view of the Drum Tower.

The next day, I booked a one-day tour of Terracotta Warriors + Huaqing Palace.

Terracotta Warriors: A must-see attraction when visiting Xi'an, but if you just go and see it yourself, you really don't feel much. It's necessary to ask you to explain and listen to the story. The worship of Qin Shihuang is like a rolling river...

Huaqing Palace: There are several bathhouses ruins, but there is nothing to see.

Xi'an Incident: Under the lobbying of the tour guide, the stage play of "Xi'an Incident" was added. It was very good. Although many of the lines could not be heard clearly, it was still shocking to be there.

On the third day, the city wall + Little Wild Goose Pagoda + Big Wild Goose Pagoda + Tang Dynasty Sleepless City

City Wall: I rushed early to the South Gate City Wall. There were not many people, but it had already begun to dry. After walking for a short while, I took a few photos of tourists and then I visited here.

Little Wild Goose Pagoda: The maintenance was closed, crying...

Big Wild Goose Pagoda: Maybe it's too hot and there's nothing to see. You can see it clearly on the Joy City viewing platform.

City that never sleeps: It feels like a commercial street. After eating some snacks, there is nothing to show.

Music Fountain: Although it is said that the music fountain looks better after dark, I really can't wait that late. I just watched the 7 o'clock show and didn't grab a good position in advance, but I can still basically see it. It's great.

Originally, I had no plans to go to Datang Furong Garden, but many friends strongly recommended it. Unfortunately, I couldn't make an appointment when I wanted to go. I'll make up for it next time.

On the fourth day, Chiang Kai-shek's palace

The day before was too hot, and my daughter had no interest in scenic spots at all, so I searched the Internet for any scenic spots that were less crowded and cooler. I found Chiang Kai-shek's palace, which was a bit far from the city center. I had to take a taxi to get there after taking Line 2 to the final stop. However, this scenic spot really met my needs. It was small and shady. However, when my daughter and I walked through the cave, we found it very interesting after we came out. In short, I liked this place very much.

The four-day trip ended quickly. This trip was actually a little uneasy because I started having a headache the day before the trip. I was afraid that I would have a fever, and then I was stopped at a certain temperature measuring point. Fortunately, I passed it safely.
