In July, my child is about to enter the summer vacation soon. I was on my holiday trip early and wanted to take him to see the beautiful rivers and mountains of the motherland. Following my daughter-in-law's advice, I went to the northwest this time. Last year, they and his wife went to Qinghai with a group and liked the small ring road. This time they want to take the Grand Loop Road. After some guidance, I decided to go to the northwest again for this free trip. The preliminary plan is as follows: the entire train starts from Beijing, passing through Xi'an first, and stays in Xi'an for two days; then continues west, stopping through Lanzhou, and stays for one day; From Lanzhou to Zhangye, stay for two days; from Zhangye to Dunhuang, stay for two days; and then return to Beijing from Dunhuang, a total of 7 days. The specific itinerary is as follows:
At noon on July 17, we took the high-speed train from Beijing West to Xi'an. The speed was very fast and we arrived in Xi'an in more than three hours. After settling down in Xi'an, we went to Drum Tower and Hui Street together in the evening. Many people say that when going to Xi'an, we should not go to Hui Street to eat snacks. If we want to eat, we can go to the Golden Bridge. However, we still cannot avoid the custom. We feel that although Hui Street does not eat well, it is still a must-go place to check in. On Huimin Street, I recommended the Jiasan soup dumplings for my family. They taste really good. At the same time, I also ate ice cream from the Terracotta Warriors and the day's trip ended.
On July 18, we made an appointment in advance with the Terracotta Warriors. It rained heavily that day, and I followed the driver's advice the day before yesterday. I took an online taxi and didn't get off the highway Terracotta Warriors Exit. Instead, I took the city road of Tongguan. I felt that the speed was similar. However, we found outlets in Tongguan. People who like shopping can pay attention to it. In addition, Tsinghua Pond is also located in Tongguan, but it is not recommended to visit it, including tour guides, because the value is too low and there is no scenery. If you want to go to Lishan, you can go there. In the Terracotta Warriors, we hired a tour guide, three families and a group, and each person was 25 yuan (about). It was quite good. We visited three museums and learned a lot of historical knowledge. Half a day is enough to visit the Terracotta Warriors. After that, we visited the Mausoleum of Qin Shi Huang. The Mausoleum of the First Emperor of Qin is very close to the Terracotta Army, and there is a free shuttle bus to the Terracotta Army office. The tomb of Qin Shihuang has not yet been developed, and only a few scattered burial pits can be visited. However, one of the largest burial pits has a relatively well-known chariot. You can take a look at it. If you don't have enough time, you don't have to read the classics here. In addition, there were several large-scale live-action performances that we didn't watch either. Due to time reasons, this depends on each person's hobbies, and the ticket price is also high, with the lowest price around 300. In the evening, we drove to the famous Tang Dynasty Sleepless City and the Big Wild Goose Pagoda. How to put it, artificial landscapes are just that. There are too many people in the check-in place. I had dinner at the Xi'an restaurant next door in the evening. It was okay and the price was not very expensive.
In Xi'an, we use online ride-hailing throughout the entire journey without making an appointment. It is quite convenient. It is not recommended to rent a car because the road conditions are really complicated, and energy is a big problem after playing for a day. Also, in Xi'an, we not only ate mutton steamed buns, but also ate gourd head. Many people don't know what gourd head is, but it's actually large intestine foam. Not bad, it's worth trying. To sum up, the trip to Xi'an is actually a gourmet journey. In addition to eating, it is still eating, from soup dumplings to roujiamo, from noodles with noodles with noodles to gourd heads.
On the morning of the 19th, we set off for Lanzhou and arrived in Lanzhou after 1 p.m. After cleaning up, we ate local delicacies and drank apricot skin tea. In the evening, the whole family walked to the famous local iron bridge for a walk. In fact, there are no scenic spots to visit in urban Lanzhou, just to watch the scenery and drink beer along the Yellow River.
On the morning of the 20th, we set off for Zhangye. The journey was long and arrived at Zhangye Railway Station in the afternoon. At the train station, we received the off-road vehicle rented in advance and started our trip to Zhangye. I would like to highly recommend Runhu Holiday Inn in Zhangye. The value for money is really high, the rooms are huge, the service is good, and it also provides foot soaking service, but the breakfast is average. After a brief rest, at 3 p.m., we went to Zhangye's famous Colorful Danxia Scenic Area to prepare to see the Colorful Danxia in the sunset. You can reach the scenic spot in less than an hour by car. After entering the scenic spot, you need to take a shuttle bus to enter. The journey is not too far. However, you also need to take a shuttle bus between the observation decks of several scenic spots and queue up to get on the bus. Every scenic spot has a walking path, just walk along the road. Don't have to pay attention to purchasing certain sunshade hats in advance. The sun will consume more of your physical strength. It probably takes about 2 hours to walk to the last attraction. At the last attraction, you can watch the classic Colorful Danxia, helicopter services (880 per person), and paragliders. They are all games for brave people. We didn't participate. Since the day was cloudy, and we had to wait until the sun went down in the northwest, it was usually around 9 p.m. Seeing that it was still early, we headed home.
On the 21st, we went to another famous attraction in Zhangye, Pingshan Lake Grand Canyon, known as China's Colorado Grand Canyon. This distance is relatively long and it takes about 2 hours to drive by car. To enter the scenic spot, you also have to take the ferry bus first. The journey of this ferry is relatively long and the journey is quite bumpy, so you must be mentally prepared. After arriving at the first attraction, the tour guide will recommend you some special services (don't get the wrong way), such as camel riding, mountain biking, etc. I don't think it's necessary. I have no problem walking down by myself. You can also go to Dunhuang by riding a camel. Personal advice. After walking along the plank road for a while, you will enter the entrance of the Grand Canyon. Follow the steps and go straight down. The road is not very steep, so it is not challenging. In the canyon, you will encounter a famous scenic spot called Yixiantian. It is challenging. You can choose to take this line (only children of 1.4 can), or you can choose to take the ordinary line to bypass it. Another point to note is that when you finally walk out of the Grand Canyon, it is a straight iron pillar rotating road. People with fear of heights should be mentally prepared. The entire journey takes about 2 hours, which is also a test of physical strength. (To be continued)
