<What is drum music?& gt;

Xi'an Drum Music is a traditional music spread in Xi'an (Ancient Chang 'an) and surrounding areas. It is also known as "Chang' an Ancient Music","Xi'an Guchu Music" and "Xi'an Ancient Music". It originated in the Sui and Tang Dynasties and went through the Song, Yuan, Ming and Qing Dynasties. It has continuously absorbed and integrated various artistic essences in the course of historical development and gradually formed a complete set of large-scale classical music forms. It still retains quite complete repertoire, music style, structure, musical instruments and performance forms. It is an important relic of ancient music in our country.

Xi'an Drum Music| Datang Fanyin

In many modern costume dramas, you can almost see scenes of playing classical musical instruments, such as playing flutes, playing guqin, playing erhu, etc. The tunes flowing out are mountains, flowing water, winter snow, summer cicadas... Let the audience directly feel the artistic conception and charm of music.

But when it comes to traditional musical instruments as China's intangible cultural heritage, what will everyone think of? The word intangible cultural heritage always reminds people of craftsmanship that has been passed down for thousands of years, making people particularly yearning, respect and awe. In May 2006, Xi'an drum music was included in the traditional music category of the first batch of national intangible cultural heritage list.

Using the notation method of common characters in the Tang and Song Dynasties, blowing sheng, flute, and tube, hitting square box, double cloud gong, sitting on drum and war drum, and beating closely together. The "Fa""" starts the eye, Adagio, Allegro, Beat, and Playing "in the sound of the drums alternate with each other, playing the ancient oriental symphony.

As a city with a rich history and culture, this does not seem new. Xi'an drum music has been passed down by countless artists from its origin to modern times before it can be passed down to this day, allowing us to see the music feast of the Tang Dynasty.

Xi'an Drum Music| non-genetic inheritance

In May 2009, inheritor He Zhongxin was selected as the representative inheritor of the third batch of national intangible cultural heritage projects. As the inheritor of this ancient skill, He Zhongxin has been committed to the study of Xi'an drum music. For him,"inheritance", a word that always sounds heavy and oppressive, is actually "love" and "addiction" to him. As he said: "No matter how difficult my life is and how difficult it is, if I love it, I love learning it. That's enough."

Learning drum music cannot be completed overnight. It requires continuous strengthening of skills and grinding and learning before you can master skills. On the timeline of modern development, generations of inheritors have left handprints that have never faded. Just as Mr. Wu Qichuan, author of the book "Searching for Intangible Cultural Heritage: Choosing One and Love a Life", said: "We took the scissors from our mother, the shadow figure from our father, and the mantle passed down by our master. We told stories, sang folk songs, New Year holidays... Our daily lifestyle, these ordinary and ordinary years, have gained unprecedented cultural significance and have an important cultural status due to the importance attached to intangible cultural heritage."

As a typical representative of traditional Chinese instrumental music culture, Xi'an drum music has become an indispensable scenery in Xi'an. The rich tunes have extremely distinctive historical characteristics and are an "invisible history of Chinese music." The entire music has a rigorous structure and form, a majestic style, a huge structure and an elegant style. It is the leader of the existing drum music in China. Every appearance and every time it attracts attention is a re-perception of the beauty of tradition and the beauty of craftsmanship, and a process of enhancing cultural confidence.

Xi'an Drum Music| How to be reborn

Intangible cultural heritage is both ancient and fashionable, belonging to both the older generation and the younger generation. Intangible cultural heritage is the ancient life memory and living cultural gene of a nation, and it is also the world protected by every inheritor with his whole life's hard work. The history of intangible cultural heritage culture is also the history of people. It tells not only the story of intangible cultural heritage, but also the story of people and China.

Xi'an drum music is the crystallization of wisdom left behind by generations, a "cultural gene" that is constantly added to and activated, and a real life that is visible, amiable and participatory. As an intangible cultural heritage, it not only needs to restore memories, but also needs to inherit and innovate and fly into the homes of ordinary people.

Dongcang Drum Music Society

Dongcang Drum Music Club was originally called Jinglu Dongcang Drum Music Club. During the Ming and Qing Dynasties, it belonged to the granary of the palace. It was one of the few guest-run Drum Music Club in Xi'an that ate royal grain.

In April 2006, Dongcang Drum Music Club entered the Tang Dynasty Furong Garden, allowing Chinese and foreign tourists to listen to precious drum music from the Chinese royal family while viewing the royal gardens of the Tang Dynasty.

Dajichang Drum Music Club

In the Ming Dynasty, Xi'an Prefecture had two government-run granaries, Yongfeng Warehouse (West Warehouse) and Jinglu Warehouse (East Warehouse). Both granaries had drum music activities. Dongcang Drum Music Club has been active to this day, and the tradition of Xicang Drum Music Club has gradually been inherited by Dajichang Drum Music Club.

For a hundred years, Dajichang Drum Music Club has been active in the ancient city of Xi'an. Every year, drum music is played at Xingshan Temple on the 15th of March and 15th of July of the lunar calendar, and at the Xiwutai Ancient Temple on the 17th, 18th and 19th of the lunar calendar.

Guhong Temple Drum Music Society

The ancient Hongmiao Drum Music Club originated from a century-old club. Its main feature is "clear and elegant". It has the style of Han and Tang Dynasty Dharma music, forming a unique Tao style.
