Foreword:

As a parent of a high school child, watching his child study nervously every day, sleeping in is a luxury. I have always thought about waiting for the college entrance examination to end. No matter what the results are, the results will not be available until 15 days later. During this period, you can't do anything. It's better to relax first and treat it as a reward for your child's 12 years of hard work! After having this idea, I read a lot of strategies written by the great gods on the Internet. I had a general understanding of various cities, attractions, and snacks during this trip, so I prepared to depart from Anqing to Nanjing on the afternoon of June 12 → Take a plane on the 13th Arrive in Dunhuang at noon, Mingsha Mountain and Yueya Spring in the afternoon, and Shazhou Night Market in the evening → Dunhuang Mogao Grottoes, Dunhuang Ancient City, West Thousand Buddha Cave, Yangguan on the 14th → Take a train to Jiayuguan on the 15th and stay in Zhangye at night → Matie Temple on the 16th, Colorful Danxia → Arriving in Lanzhou on the 17th → Arriving in Xi'an on the 19th → Plane back to Anqing on the 21st. After confirming the itinerary, I booked the hotel, air ticket and tickets to Dunhuang Mogao Grottoes online in advance.

June 12: Three people boarded the G7090 high-speed train from Anqing to Nanjing South Railway Station at 17:11. They arrived at Nanjing South Railway Station in 2 hours. They didn't have to leave the station when getting off the train. They took the subway directly and stayed at Lukou Airport. Because Lukou Airport is far away from the city and its surroundings are relatively remote, they found a Nanjing Encounter Sunshine Hotel with much praise on the Internet (the store is very responsible and will send you a message in advance to tell you which line to take and which subway exit to leave the station). We made a phone call as soon as we left the subway entrance, and the store drove an SUV to pick us up. The hotel is located in a place like a village in the city. It is actually a family hotel. After arriving, it was found that it was still clean and suitable for catching an early flight.

June 13: We walked out of the room at the time agreed by the store in the morning. The store's car was waiting outside the door. There was also a young man from another room in the car who drove us to the terminal in ten minutes. At 7:15, we boarded China Eastern Airlines flight MU2749 from Nanjing to Dunhuang on time. This flight stopped in Lanzhou. Passengers who were originally going to Dunhuang did not have to disembark. They waited in their seats for passengers from Lanzhou to Dunhuang to board the plane and then could take off at 12:45. Arriving at Dunhuang Airport, all passengers were asked to disembark and took different shuttle buses to the terminal. At this time, they were told that there was a sandstorm in Dunhuang, and the previous two flights to Dunhuang had all returned. There was no choice, so everyone had to wait in the terminal for the latest news from the airport. As a result, at around 3 o'clock, the broadcast said that all flights to Dunhuang had been cancelled. Passengers like us who had traveled halfway through the airport would take us to a free hotel to rest, and wait until tomorrow's flight was free before flying to Dunhuang. But we had already bought tickets for the Mogao Grottoes at 8 a.m. on the 14th in advance. If the reservation on the day of cancellation was full, the kind young airport guy reminded us that we could take the train and asked us to go to the counter to issue a flight cancellation certificate (China Eastern Airlines later refunded the ticket price 800 yuan). So I immediately booked a sleeper ticket from Lanzhou to Dunhuang online, and rushed to the automatic ticketing machine to buy a bullet ticket from Zhongchuan Airport to Lanzhou Station at 15:54. After more than an hour, I arrived at Lanzhou Station. After a short rest, I started checking in. The Y667 from Lanzhou to Dunhuang departed on time at 18:03. The day passed so exciting that I fell asleep on the train.

After more than 12 hours, I arrived at Dunhuang Railway Station at 6 a.m. on the 14th. The sandstorms in Dunhuang came and went quickly. Ctrip booked a reservation at the Dunhuang Carnival Boutique Hotel, and the pick-up personnel were already waiting at the appointed location. At the same time, a father and daughter also arrived at the hotel in the same car.(There is such a coincidence. During the check-in process, two girls chatted because they were of the same age. It turned out that they were also children who came to Dunhuang to play after the college entrance examination. Because the flight was cancelled and took the train, so many hotels in Dunhuang actually booked the same room. Later, it was even more coincidental that the same train arrived at Jiayuguan on the morning of the 15th, and the same train left for Zhangye in the afternoon. Because they had not booked a hotel in Zhangye, we recommended the hotel we booked to them. So I lived together again in Zhangye). The hotel put the luggage into the room, washed the face a little, immediately finished breakfast next to it, took a taxi to the Mogao Grottoes, and arrived at the ticket collection point of the Mogao Grottoes at 7:45 on time.

After visiting the Mogao Grottoes at noon, we directly asked the taxi driver to take us to the Dunhuang delicacy "Daji Donkey Meat Yellow Noodles" recommended by netizens. The portions were large, and Dunhuang's unique anti-heat artifact "apricot skin water". Dunhuang is not a big city. After dinner, we walked back to the hotel. On the way, we found that Dunhuang's dried fruits were very delicious. The boss would send them home for free, so we bought a big bag and prepared to give it to our friends. When I returned to the hotel, I found that the room had been cleaned yesterday, and a pair of socks that I had forgotten to wash yesterday had also been washed and hung there by the waiter. The hotel also has a public washing machine and a place to dry clothes on the top floor. I must praise it!

It is said that it is appropriate to go to Mingsha Mountain at 5 o'clock in the summer. The sun is not too hot. I rested at the hotel and took a taxi to Yueya Spring in Mingsha Mountain at 5 o'clock.

In order to watch the sunset at 9:30 on the top of the sand hill, the moon was hanging in the sky when we left the gate of the scenic area. It was almost 10 o'clock. When we returned to the hotel, the three of them were too tired to move and went to bed early.

On June 15, I boarded the K43 train from Dunhuang to Jiayuguan at 7:30 on time and arrived at Jiayuguan Station at noon. Because I took the bullet train to Zhangye in the afternoon and had to sit at Jiayuguan South Station, I had to take my luggage with me and take a ride. Drip directly to Jiayuguan Guancheng, and luggage can be stored for free. There is a restaurant in the scenic spot that looks like a good environment and has many people who eat it. Seeing that everyone else has ordered these cold noodles, we follow the gourd and paint the gourd.

Come out from the entrance of the attraction, pick up your luggage and rush directly to Jiayuguan South Railway Station. From Jiayuguan Guancheng, you need to pass through the urban area to reach the South Railway Station. The taxi fare is less than 50 yuan.

Jiayuguan South Railway Station at 16:26 → Zhangye West Railway Station D56 arrived at Zhangye West Railway Station at 17:40. The Junyi Select Chain Hotel Zhangye High-Speed Railway West Railway Station we booked was across the street as soon as we left the station. After putting down our luggage, we went to Ganzhou Alley, a local food street recommended by the waiter. It was crowded with people and there were many delicious food. We ate many varieties and wanted to try anything we had never tasted before. Later, we couldn't eat it and bought it and took it back to the hotel for midnight snack!

On June 16 (one-day charter tour of Mati Temple and Colorful Danxia Geopark), Master Li came to the hotel door at 8 o'clock on time to pick us up and explained to us on the way to Mati Temple.

Since Colorful Danxia was in the other direction of Zhangye, we returned to downtown Zhangye for lunch at noon. Master Li took us to a local restaurant and prepared to go home to eat by ourselves. We dragged us off and had lunch together. The restaurant's mutton plate was a big plate, which was so delicious. The several dishes we ordered tasted good. The price of 200 yuan for four people was okay, but I couldn't get used to eating anything made from a sheep intestines.

When we arrived at Colorful Danxia, Master Li parked the car and took us to buy tickets personally. It was too hot here at noon. Fortunately, the buses going to each observation deck have life-saving air conditioners. Later, I also saw the Mazi Noodle Shop in the movie "Three Guns Shooting the Table in Surprise" directed by Zhang Yimou.

After coming out of the scenic area and returning to the hotel to rest for a while, I couldn't forget about yesterday's sour plum juice, so I rushed to Ganzhou Alley again. After eating enough and drinking, I went to the supermarket to buy and try all the fruits I had never eaten before. It was delicious and cheap.

At 8:34 a.m. on June 17, the D2672 from Zhangye West → Lanzhou West arrived in Lanzhou West at 1 o'clock. After walking around, I returned to Lanzhou. I took a taxi directly to Kunyi Boutique Hotel Lanzhou Zhongshanqiao Branch. The hotel location is very good. Downstairs is Muta Lane Food Street, and through Muta Lane is Dazhong Lane Food Street. It is a few minutes 'walk from Zhongshan Bridge. There are free drinks and snacks for passengers in the hotel lobby, and free bottled mineral water in each corridor. Highly recommended!!!!

I forgot to take a photo of the room, so I went to the hotel website to find a room with the same layout and have a look.

Putting down my luggage, I couldn't wait to check in Ma Zilu Beef Noodles in Dazhong Lane. A bowl of noodles is 8 yuan, and beef is 80 yuan per catty. One or two is as you please. As a face-to-face bully, I finally ate the authentic Lanzhou beef noodles that I had been longing for, which was also fulfilling a wish. After eating it, I found that Du Ji's sweets were next to me. Many people recommended it online, so of course, I couldn't let go. It was a good place for people who like sweets.

Follow Dazhong Lane and you will reach the Yellow River. It is not far from Zhongshan Bridge. It takes ten minutes to reach it. It is crowded with people. Across the mountain opposite the Datie Bridge is Baita Mountain Park. After dinner in the evening, we came to Zhongshan Bridge. The lights at Zhongshan Bridge were so beautiful at night, and the Yellow River was full of people enjoying the cool. There are many businesses that have set up tables and chairs for people to rest and chat, and they just provide beer and snacks. It is really enjoyable to sit with a few friends for free.

There are also many snacks in Muta Lane downstairs of the hotel, making it very convenient to eat.

Children who study liberal arts are more interested in history and culture. They must go to every local museum they visit, so they came to the Gansu Province Museum early the next day to pursue the Chinese tourist symbol "Horse Stepping on Swallow."

In the evening, we arrived at another snack street in Lanzhou,"Zhengning Road Snack Street". The most popular one was milk and egg fermented rice. The funny thing was that many sellers sold this. The highlight was a white-bearded old man operating it. There were a few stalls lined up with people. Later, we found a place with fewer people in the queue and tasted our sweet rice wine, with frangipani added.

When I walked back to the hotel, I saw many fruit sellers on the roadside. The prices were really cheap. Big cherries only cost 10 yuan a catty.

June 19:8:33-11:40 bullet train D2654 Lanzhou West → Xi'an North. Without leaving the train station, go directly to Metro Line 4 and get off at the Big Wild Goose Pagoda Station. As soon as you come up from Metro Exit F, you will be the gate of the Big Wild Goose Pagoda Store of Xi'an Yongfeng Hotel. Across the street is the music fountain of Big Wild Goose Pagoda Square. Because the music fountain is open regularly at night, you can go to the Tang Dynasty that never sleeps in the back after watching it, so I didn't choose a hotel near the Bell Tower in the city center. Besides, the Shaanxi History Museum is next to it.(If you want to come to Shaanxi Expo, you must make an appointment online first. We had no tickets after arriving in the afternoon, so we had to make an appointment for tomorrow afternoon.) The Qishan noodles store on the first floor of the hotel is very large, and many local people come to eat them. They taste good. When you come to Xi'an, you must visit the local Hui Street. You can also see the Bell Tower on the central axis of Xi'an and the Drum Tower next to it. Just take a look at the Hui Street. The food tastes average.

June 20: After getting up and checking out, I stored my luggage at the hotel. I took bus No. 307 across the street to the Terracotta Warriors Parking Lot of Qin Shi Huang. On the way, I passed Huaqing Pool. I couldn't be bothered to get off because of the rain. When the bus arrives in Huaqing Pool, a guide will get on the bus and explain some details of the Terracotta Warriors and Huaqing Pool attractions. In fact, the focus is to introduce another man-made attraction. After arriving at the Terracotta Warriors Parking Lot, there is a special minibus that leads directly to it. The tickets are not too expensive, but I just don't feel in the mood when it rains. So I didn't even remember the name of the scenic spot. After getting off the bus and walking forward for a while, you will arrive at the ticket office.

I returned to the hotel at noon and picked up my luggage. I checked on my mobile phone that the No. 1 spot in snacks and fast food was Huzi Shuipin mutton. The Shuipin mutton tasted so delicious that I even ordered diced chicken with chili pepper and side dishes. The boss said it would be better to eat it wrapped in cakes. Sure enough! It's 100 yuan at checkout, a conscientious merchant.

After coming out of Shaanxi Expo, I went to the storage office to pick up my luggage and got on the bus to the airport in the parking lot. It was 25 yuan per person. It took more than an hour to the airport terminal. I called the owner of the booked Kaishun Jiayuan Business Hotel. The boss arrived in a while. The hotel was not far from the airport and was still clean. We used water from the water dispenser. There was also a so-called snack street next to it. We were delivered to the airport one and a half hours early the next morning.

June 21: Tianjin Airlines flight GS7633 from 7:45-9:45 from Xi'an to Anqing.

Next: Because I have to come back before the results of the college entrance examination are out, I am a little rushed. In addition, the cancellation of the initial flight reduces the time I spend in Dunhuang. Friends who have enough time stay in Dunhuang for an extra day. The first floor of the Carnival Boutique Hotel is a travel agency. One-day tour on the western line (Yangguan, Yumen Pass, West Thousand Buddha Cave, Dunhuang Ancient City, Yadan National Geopark) is very cost-effective. There are many suggestions from netizens. Unfortunately, due to time constraints, I can only leave some regrets and make up for it next time! Recently, my child has also been sent to college. I write casually when I have nothing to do, hoping to help my friends who also want to go and play ~ thank you!
