This trip lasted for a total of six days. From December 21 to 26, 2019, it took a total of five days. It had been discussed long ago to go to Xi'an with my wife before the New Year. A large part of the reason why this time was decided was that there would be snow on Huashan Mountain on the 25th. Yes, it's as simple as that. The snowy mountains and snow scenery have a fatal attraction for me who has returned from Hunan for ten years.

On the first day, the plane left at 15:05, stayed through Xiangyang for about an hour, and arrived at Xi'an Xianyang Airport on time at 19:40. The air ticket and hotel were booked on Ctrip, which is very cheap. The air ticket is 320 per person, and the hotel is 105 per night. Contacting the driver who picked up the plane for free by Ctrip, walking out of Gate 213 of the airport, Xi'an was facing him at zero degrees. I really wanted to shout, Xi'an, I'm here! However, it didn't. In terms of real feelings, it's not very cold. Compared with our Great Changle, which is about ten degrees Celsius, it's not much different. The driver was not talkative, but very polite, including the driver who dropped off a few days later. Good comments. Words and deeds, attitudes, and feelings can be seen that they all have a little respect for tourists coming to Xi'an. I don't know if they are afraid of bad reviews afterwards, or if they are really grateful to us for contributing to Xi'an's income generation. After getting off the highway and entering the Second Ring Road, there was a traffic jam all the way. I arrived at the hotel around 9:15. The Hanguang Grand Hyatt Hotel booked on Ctrip has spacious and quiet rooms, a good location, and a high value for money. We will stay here for five days. After packing their luggage, they couldn't wait to go downstairs to find something to eat. They had not eaten for more than nine hours, and both of them were very hungry. The hotel is located near the Sajinqiao Food Street. It is about five minutes 'walk away. I am too hungry and don't want to walk. There is a long time to come, so I just make do with it downstairs across the street from the hotel.

Attached is the four existing subway lines in Xi'an. The subway is really a good thing. Speaking of which, as the ancient capital of the thirteen dynasties, Xi'an may have the best historical heritage in China. It should completely defeat Beijing. At this time, when we talk about Chang' an, we will have a better feeling. It is said that Xi'an lost to Beijing by one vote when the Republic was founded. Otherwise, it would have been fourteen dynasties. I don't know if this is true. Looking at Beijing in a century of history, and looking at Xi'an in a thousand years of history. You can imagine that standing on the land of Xi'an, the road under your feet may have been influenced countless times by Qin Shi Huang, Liu Bang, Tang Taizong, and Wu Zetian... Passing by, he was just an emperor, and there were so many famous ministers and fierce generals! Are there so many historical allusions? Maybe a few nights before the Xuanwu Gate Incident, Li Shimin plotted with his subordinates not far away from here. Maybe Li Bai once stopped here and thought hard to come up with the saying that clouds want clothes and flowers want to be used to please Imperial Concubine Yang... Simply take the origin of the name of sprinkling the golden bridge near the hotel where I stayed as an example. There are many different versions of allusions and sayings. One said that this is the road leading to the Tang Dynasty palace warehouse, and it is inevitable that some gold will be sprinkled along the way, so I think it is called sprinkling the golden bridge. One said that Emperor Xuanzong of the Tang Dynasty once sprinkled gold here for ministers to pick up as a reward. There are also said that it was sprinkled by a rich man, and there are also said that Lu Dongbin sprinkled it.. You see, this is Xi'an. Almost every place has its long history, and many stories can be told. You can use Baidu or imagine it yourself. Without making any arrangements after dinner, the hotel rested in place and then went to bed. This reflects the benefits of free travel. You can do whatever you want when you want.

The next day, I didn't set an alarm clock in the morning until I woke up naturally. However, I was used to getting up early for exercise some time ago, so I woke up naturally at around 6 o'clock. I stayed in bed until 8:30 and didn't go out after 9 o'clock. Today's itinerary is to walk around the ancient city wall of Xi'an, and the rest of the time is at your disposal. After eating a small cake given by the hotel with his own cereal, he excitedly headed towards the Jinqiao Food Street. Exit B of the Sajinqiao Metro is at the intersection of the Food Street. When you cross the subway entrance from north to south, you will enter the first rice cake stall. The signboard is very showy, and the business is so good that it is booming. This reflects the need for market economic packaging and publicity. Sex, the Internet celebrity stall really had to queue up and bought a minimum amount of 3 yuan to eat it together. In order to achieve the goal of tasting all Xi'an delicacies, we decided to order only one serving of all the delicacies. The first shot was good, and the cake was delicious. The vicinity of Sajin Street belongs to the Muslim residential area. Two mosques can be seen on both sides of this street alone. There are some daily notices posted on the notice boards of the mosques. There are weddings, funerals, and blessings. They are very daily. Some of the Muslim religious terms are not well understood. There is also a Yunju Temple in Xiwutai, which is also on the side. It was built by Emperor Taizong of the Tang Dynasty for his mother. It is said online that Yunju Temple will only open on the 15th day of the lunar New Year, but it is indeed not open today.

The Second Artillery is Hu La Tang. At the intersection of Sajin Bridge and Miaohou Street, there are many people sitting outside the store. Most of them seem to be locals. There are also a few dressed up as Hui people. If the business is good, there are no mistakes, that's it. A bowl of spicy soup and a quarter of the film cost a total of 9 yuan. The two of us ate it together, but in the end, half a bowl of soup and an eighth of the film were left, and we ran away dejectedly. I'm really embarrassed to say that they don't taste good, because those locals, including the Hui people, obviously seem to be regular customers, and it's our fault that they eat with gusto...

After eating Hu La Tang, return to Sajinqiao Subway Station on the same road, take Metro Line 1 for one stop to Beijie Street, and change to Line 2 for two stops to arrive at Yongning Gate at eleven o'clock. This is the main south gate of the ancient city wall. Most people who visit the ancient city wall of Xi'an come from the ancient city wall of Yongning Gate because it is beautiful and noble. When dignitaries or foreign guests come to Xi'an, they usually welcome them into the inner city through the South Gate, such as recent national leaders, such as a certain American president, etc. This was what Liu Dao said on the day he visited Famen Temple. Yongning Gate is the only gate among all the gates in the ancient city wall that retains three towers: gate tower, arrow tower, and tower tower. The other three main gates only have arrow tower and main tower, let alone those side gates. Entering the suspension bridge is the gate tower, followed by the arrow tower, Wengcheng, and Yongning Gate Tower.

At 11:30 I climbed the ancient city wall and headed clockwise west. Many bricks on the ground of the city wall were engraved with words like "King of Hu County Wang Shou 1984". At first, I didn't know what it meant and thought it was someone's prank. Later, I checked Baidu and found out that the last large-scale renovation of Xi'an's ancient city wall was in 1984. At that time, most of the bricks were made in Hu County, and many villages had them, including Wang Village, Wang Village, Feng Village, Wang Town... Those words were printed during firing.

Talking about daily life and our half-baked historical knowledge, we took out our mobile phones from time to time to check Baidu, passed several horse faces and several enemy towers, walked past Zhuque Gate, Wumu Gate, Hanguang Gate, and came to Jiaotai in the southwest corner. The only corner of the ancient city wall is here where there is no corner tower on the platform, and the other three corners have buildings. I don't know what the story is. Regarding horse faces and enemy buildings, before coming here, Baidu didn't give me much clues. I didn't realize why after walking through the field. Of course, it was also because it didn't deliberately and accurately check. Nowadays, when the Internet is highly developed, there are really not many things that Du Niang can't find. Mameian and enemy towers are places where a large area protrudes outward from the city wall. They are as high as the city wall and connected together. The soldiers stationed on the city wall can kill the enemy attacking the city from the side and enhance the defense of the city wall. The enemy towers mean the building to resist the enemy, and there is one more building than Mameian to use the soldiers to rest and store equipment.

Next is Anding Gate, Yuxiang Gate, and Shangwu Gate. Arriving at Anyuan Gate at about 2:30, I met four or five couples taking wedding photos near Anding Gate.

This is the northwest corner of the ancient city wall. The one in the corner is the corner tower. In the northwest corner of the city is Guangren Temple. This is very close to our residence, Hanguang Grand Hyatt Hotel. Most of the buildings in the ancient city of Xi'an are very low, and there are skyscrapers only outside the city. Many scenic spots in the inner city can actually be seen from afar on the city wall. Guangren Temple can be seen in the northwest corner tower, and Yongxing Square can be seen at Changle Gate. The Forest of Steles Museum and Shuyuan Gate can be seen near Wenchang Gate. Guangren Temple is the only main temple of Green Tara in China. It is the palace where the Dalai Lama and the Panchen Lama visited Beijing for their pilgrimage and passed through Shaanxi. The temple houses one of the only two statues of the 12-year-old Buddha in the world. The largest Thousand-handed Guanyin in Shaanxi Province. It has the only boutique Thousand-Buddha Hall in China and is also the place where Princess Wencheng worshiped in Chang 'an. I felt very high and high. I thought I was near the hotel and could come anytime. I wasn't in a hurry, but I didn't expect that the result was that I couldn't come. This was fate. Only by fate can we meet each other.

There are many horse roads on the inside of the ancient city wall of Xi'an. These were used by war horses to climb the city in ancient times. Now they are all closed. I feel that this is the best choice for ticket evasion, haha.

Behind the Anyuan Gate are Shangde Gate, Jiefang Gate, Shangjian Gate, Shangqin Gate, Chaoyang Gate, and Zhongshan Gate. Then they come to the main east gate of Changle Gate. The arrow tower of Changle Gate is the only arrow tower open to the public on the ancient city wall. The soldiers shoot arrows downward from these windows. It doesn't look big from a distance, but if you walk inside, you will find that it is really big.

At around 5:30, we returned to the starting point of Yongning Gate. We spent nearly 6 hours walking around this majestic city wall, walking and stopping, watching and chatting. It felt both leisurely and enjoyable. The legs were tired and the total length was 13.7 kilometers. Of course, if we walked normally, three hours should be enough. In fact, there is also a good means of transportation on the city wall, single or tandem bicycles, but measuring the city wall with steps is quite impressive and highly recommended. In addition to the spectacular scenery, there are two strongest feelings about walking on the city wall. One is the cold. I can take back what I said last night here. The second is smog, which is so white that you can't see the sky. Of course, this is not a problem in Xi'an. It is said that there is a lot of smog in the entire north. It is said that the Xi'an City Wall carries thousands of years of history in the ancient city of Xi'an. Although in fact we are walking the Ming City Wall, and most of the bricks and stones we step on are actually built in 1984, standing on this ancient city wall, think about the Qin, Han and Tang Dynasties in the distance, looking in front of you beyond sight, you can see thousands of years at a glance...

Going downstairs from Yongning Gate, I used my ID card to register with the staff when I exited the ticket gate, so that I could board the city within today, otherwise I would have to buy another 54 yuan ticket to board the city again. My wife said that she wanted to go up to the city wall to see the night view later. The lights of the Bell and Drum Tower have been banned, so it is also a good choice to watch the night view here. We ate Zhao Ji's meat sandwich film and oil-sprinkled noodles near Yongning Gate. Since yesterday's spicy soup impressed us deeply, we have no idea about Xi'an snacks. These two things are okay today, and I have finished them all. I think that people in the south who are used to seafood and sweet and sour flavors really shouldn't expect too much for Xi'an cuisine. There is no good or bad, only what you can eat and what you can't eat. Haha, personal opinion is for reference only. After a simple dinner, I turned back to Yongning Gate and climbed the ancient city wall again. During the day, I saw that many places on the ancient city wall were under construction, including maintenance of the ground, maintenance of the tower, and more of them were decorated with lights inside. Buildings, I guess they are branch venues and the like. Everyone should be able to see it at the Spring Festival Gala.

After shopping, we then took Metro Line 2 to Line 3 to arrive at Dayan Pagoda North Square Station at 6:30, followed Gao De all the way south, and arrived at Datang Sleepless City at 7:00. The subway is really a thing that benefits the country and the people. The city is less crowded because of it, and our journey is more convenient because of it. The city that never sleeps in the Tang Dynasty is full of lights and people. We walked from Zhenguan Square to Kaiyuan Square in the southernmost region. We suffered again. Kaiyuan Square starts performing large-scale real-life dramas for free at 7:30 and then returns to Chang 'an. They are open and outdoor and can be seen by everyone and end at 8:00. Then the little Internet celebrity tumbler girl next to her started her second performance of four performances every night. The performance started at 7890 on the hour. The scene was much more lively than the large theater just now. He raised his hand high and took a few photos and videos of the tumbler dressed up as a beautiful Tang woman from afar, and walked back still. He had no choice but to queue up for at least two hours at close range.

Arrive at Datang Furong City Subway Station after 9 o'clock. This is actually a big attraction, but it was not on our expected itinerary. I took Line 4 and transferred to Line 1 to Sajinqiao. I returned to the hotel before ten o'clock. I was tired. It seems that I still have to walk appropriately. I have been outdoors almost all day today, and I still feel the cold in the north. Especially my ears, when I were exposed for more than a minute, I began to protest. Wearing a coat and hat would affect my vision and hearing. Then I wore and took off this all day, no less than a hundred times, I guess. Tomorrow's itinerary was set at Ctrip at 10:30 p.m.. There was a one-day trip to Qianling and Famen Temple. We would pick up people downstairs in the hotel from 7:00 to 7:30 tomorrow morning. A chartered car for 210 yuan per person and packed afternoon headphones, which is 90 yuan cheaper than the price quoted by the hotel front desk.

On the third day, I woke up at around 6 o'clock in the morning and washed up quickly. I still had to pay attention to my morning meal. I couldn't eat local food. What a painful realization. If you receive a call from the tour guide before seven o'clock, you won't arrive until after eight o'clock. I have no choice but to go back to bed and wait. Regarding tourism in Xi'an, I later thought about it, there is no need to do too many strategies. Wherever you want to go, you can just book a day trip. Ctrip is so convenient now. It is not advertising for Ctrip, it is really convenient. Moreover, there is also a sword of bad reviews that can protect you and have no worries. After picking up the car downstairs at around eight o'clock, we set off for Qianling. A friendly reminder, when you come to Xi'an to book a hotel, try to choose within the Second Ring Road, because most one-day tour groups indicate free pick-up within the Second Ring Road. Otherwise, you can only take the car yourself to the designated place to gather, which would be troublesome. The tour guide's surname is Liu. Director Liu is extremely eloquent. He has ancient and modern historical allusions, and Shaanxi customs and customs come at his mouth. In fact, tour guides in Xi'an may all have such characteristics. They are not eloquent and have no history. They cannot be a tour guide in Xi'an. I read the reviews of Ctrip. More than 90% of the reviews have similar comments on tour guides. Today's itinerary was actually lacking. The tour guide on the bus asked a question, what was the purpose of everyone's travel, and then he asked himself and answered himself, meaning that it did not have to be for the pleasure of the body and mind, nor did it have to be a soul or a distance. It could be as simple as eating things you have never eaten or seeing places you have never seen before. When the road came to Jane, I deeply agreed, and then on this day, I happily went there and returned satisfied.

First, the tomb of Prince Yide, and then the tomb of Qianling, where Li Zhi and Wu Zetian were buried together. The tour guide in Xi'an explained it with headphones. Each person sent a connected slave machine. The tour guide held the mother machine and explained in a low voice all the way without making any noise but everyone could hear it clearly. Walking against the wind on the Qianling Mausoleum with a wide view, there are stone carvings on both sides. Liu Dao's voice can be clearly heard in my ears, telling the life stories of Li Zhi and Wu Zetian. There is a unique feeling of resentment and hatred.

Many people come to Qianling just to experience this awesome thing. The merits and demerits are left to be evaluated by future generations, but they are all romantic without a word. This is Wu Zetian's wordless monument.

After visiting Qianling, stop at the entrance of the scenic area, and then drive for about an hour to Famen Temple. The history and allusions of Famen Temple have been searched by Baidu, but I won't say much. Famen Temple Pagoda has become a Buddhist holy place that the whole country looks up to because of the placement of Sakyamuni Buddha's finger bones. It is also known as the True Buddha Pagoda.
After touring Famen Temple, we gathered at 3:30 and set off to return to Xi'an. The bus was surprisingly smooth and there was no traffic on the way. At 5:30, the bus took us back to the hotel and asked our wife if she wanted to visit the Tang Dynasty Sleepless City again. She said she didn't want to, and I didn't want to. So the hotel took a short nap and went downstairs across the street to a small hot pot buffet and served our dinner. After dinner, I went back to the hotel to rest. At 10:30, I booked tomorrow's itinerary at Ctrip. The half-day tour of Terracotta Warriors and Horses will start at 1:00 in the afternoon and will not include 163 yuan. In fact, the one-day tour of Terracotta Warriors and Huaqing Pond will only cost 169 yuan. This difference makes me imagine it. I saved half a day mainly because I wanted to visit Dacien Temple and Big Wild Goose Pagoda tomorrow morning.
