Chang 'an is a grand name and a place that people dream of returning to.
Chang 'an is Xi'an's past. At that time, Chang 'an was beautiful and prosperous, especially when it was the capital of the Han and Tang Dynasties, it was a sacred place that everyone longed for. At that time, the north was called Beidi and the south was called Nanman. Only Chang 'an was the center of the empire. At that time, the Guanzhong Plain where it was located was still called the "Land of Abundance". Yes, that's right! Zhuge Liang borrowed the name of the "Land of Abundance" in the Sichuan Basin. Of course, since it is a vast expanse of fertile land, Sichuan is well deserved. But after the Song and Yuan Dynasties, as the capital moved east and north, Chang 'an became lonely, lonely, and cold... Later, even its name was changed.
When did you change your name? Ming Dynasty. Zhu Yuanzhang established the Ming Dynasty and established Nanjing as its capital. In March 1369, General Xu Da was sent to march into Chang 'an, changing Fengyuan Road to Xi'an Prefecture, and changing Chang 'an's name to Xi'an. From then on, Chang 'an became Xi'an. To this day, it has not changed.
Every traveler has a Xizang dream, and every nostalgic person has a Chang 'an dream.
After the epidemic was brought under control, Xi'an launched a three-month (February-May) free policy for scenic spots, which can be said to be full of sincerity! My first trip after the epidemic must be dedicated to my beloved Xi'an. Because I have been there before, the Terracotta Warriors, Huaqing Pond, Qianling and Famen Temple were no longer included in this trip.
This is my second time in Xi'an. In 2017, my teacher took us to sketching when I was in college. This time, it was myself. I traveled freely for two days and one day to sign up for a group.
This trip was a bit overspent. In addition to the high-speed rail being expensive, it also cost a lot to spend on tickets. College students can buy special tickets, but there is no discount for graduate students and above. Students can prepare their credentials in advance.

about accommodations
During this three-day trip in Xi'an, I stayed at Xi'an Bell Tower Sende Hotel
This hotel was chosen mainly because of its excellent location, next to the Bell Tower, which is the center of the entire Xi'an city. Therefore, it is very close to many attractions in the ancient city. Basically, it takes only a few minutes to reach the ancient city wall, the forest of steles, and the Big Wild Goose Pagoda. Very close. In addition, there is a subway entrance at the entrance of the hotel and there are two lines. Anyway, the location is perfect.
In addition, it is only ten steps away from Exit C6 of Metro Line 2 that you can enter the lobby. It is a 10-minute walk from Huimin Street (Gaojia Courtyard is here) and a 10-minute walk from Luoma City. Take Line 2 at the entrance for half an hour to get to Datang Sleepless City and Yongxingfang. It costs about 6 yuan from Yongxingfang to Huimin Street.
Living in a place like this, you don't have to worry about getting up early and catching the bus. You can get most of the bus by walking around. I thought a hotel in this location would be very expensive, but later I found out that it was super cost-effective.
We booked a queen bed room with Bell Tower View. The room was decorated luxuriously, including hard and soft furnishings. The color matching of the room was very comfortable. This room can enjoy the night view of the Bell Tower at night. It is very beautiful.
The room is relatively spacious and the mattress is moderately soft and soft, so you won't feel tired after a night's sleep. Lumbar support is also good. Ideal for two people ~
The overall room is in a simple European style. The rooms are decorated in style and famous photography works are hung on the walls. There are many smart devices in the room, such as turning on and off lights, curtains and TVs. Bottled water is placed in the corridor and is free on demand.
All kinds of supplies and disposable items in the room are branded, not disposable items like express hotels. It feels good.
There is a cafeteria on the first floor of the hotel, and breakfast is included in the room rate. The cafeteria is open until 10 o'clock. If you want to sleep in and get up, you can still have delicious breakfast, which is very thoughtful. Breakfast was good, with a wide variety and good taste.
Day 1: Hui Street, Little Wild Goose Pagoda, Ancient City Wall, Bell and Drum Tower.
I tidied up, went downstairs for breakfast, and then prepared to go to the museum.
Xi'an Museum
The Little Wild Goose Pagoda and the Xi'an Museum are together. Because it is too hot at noon, I go to the Xi'an Museum indoor to escape the heat after arriving. Both the Little Wild Goose Pagoda and the Museum are free, and you can swipe your ID card directly at the entrance.
Xiaoyan Pagoda (Jianfu Temple)
I heard that the Little Wild Goose Pagoda is quiet and peaceful in the hustle, but this time because the weather was so hot, I couldn't feel the quiet atmosphere well.
Walking back from Xi'an Museum is the Little Wild Goose Pagoda.
small wild goose Pagoda
Xi'an city wall
I went to the ancient city wall in the evening and took a bus. It was very close to the Little Wild Goose Pagoda. It took only a few stops to get there. However, to enter the ancient city wall area, you need to use underground passages.(Later I found that it doesn't matter if you don't use them.) As a standard road enthusiast, I found three underground passages to find the right place. When I walked to the ticket entrance of the ancient city wall, it was really hot and tired, so I found a step and sat down. I sat for about half an hour. I got up and wanted to visit. The ancient city wall and the forest of steles were together. There were set tickets. The two attractions added up to 100. I originally wanted to buy a set ticket, but people said that the ticket sales time for the forest of steles had passed, and the ticket sales deadline was 5:30... So I only bought tickets for the city wall, which was 45 yuan for adults.
I wanted to watch the sunset from the city wall, but it was too tired and too hot. I went back before the sun completely set and took the bus back to Hui Street.
Things on Huimin Street are really expensive. Ten pieces of small potatoes and fifteen pieces of pomegranate juice are not good...
I bought some snacks and returned to the hotel. I rested for a while, and then went out to prepare to tie my hair strings. There were no jewelry stores on Hui Street, so I found a nearby Sanfu on the map and walked for about ten minutes.
Gaojiadayuan
After buying a head-binding rope, I went back and planned to visit the Gao family compound to see shadow puppet theater and Qin Opera.
Coming here at night really feels quite exciting. Coming during the day may feel like visiting, but with the lights at night, I always feel like I live here and feel like I belong.
After a tour, it was time for the shadow puppets to perform. I watched the last scene, and there weren't so many people.
There are several rows of shadow puppets, but if I want to sit on the first two rows of chairs, I have to spend more than ten yuan here. So I bought a ten-yuan zodiac shadow puppet decoration. Personally, I think it's okay, but I don't lose anything. I sit in the first row but on the side.
The shadow puppet is playing "Sellers" and I'm taking a video, but I didn't take any photos. It's quite interesting. Fortunately, I like watching "My Own Swordsman". I can almost understand this Shaanxi dialect.
Listening to Qin opera in the theater outside.
After reading it, it was almost 9:30, so I went back to the hotel to rest.
I saw that the bed was so sleepy that I walked 20,000 steps today, and I was so tired.
Day 2: Big Wild Goose Pagoda, Tang Dynasty Furong Garden
Dayan Pagoda
I went to the Big Wild Goose Pagoda first in the morning and thought that it would be less hot if I went earlier. However, I overthought it and started to sweat since I left the house in the morning.
I took the bus to the Big Wild Goose Pagoda Station
Tickets purchased on site must be purchased separately for climbing the tower.
The stairs to climb the Big Wild Goose Pagoda are very narrow and steep.
Standing by the window on the top floor, you can see a relatively broad view.
After lunch, I called a car to the Shaanxi History Museum. When I arrived, I found that an appointment was needed. There were still many people queuing up at the door. I checked the Internet and found that the recent time period was full, so I didn't wait any longer and went straight to Tang Furong Garden. It's a pity that everyone must make an appointment one or two days in advance if they want to go.
datang Furong garden
This garden is complicated. One-third of the scenic spots are under renovation. Moreover, due to the hot weather, we haven't visited a few scenic spots yet, and we're exhausted. It is recommended to come here at night. It will be cooler, in a good mood, and there will be lights to look at. There is really nothing to see during the day...
I finally found a small bridge on the water and wanted to take a walk, but the end was broken.
I only saw this one program, which was about Li Longji's first meeting with Yang Yuhuan and their subsequent wedding.
Musical Fountain in North Square of Big Wild Goose Pagoda
After coming out of Datang Furong Garden, I went to Chang 'an Food Stall, an Internet celebrity restaurant. It still felt very good.
The total is 109 yuan, and we haven't finished it. If there are many people, we can try a few more dishes, which is cheaper per person.
After dinner, I walked to the music fountain in the North Square of the Big Wild Goose Pagoda, which seemed to start at 8 p.m. I first walked around and bought some things. I bought two small terracotta warriors. They were 20cm high and cost 10 yuan each. However, they were cheaper near the terracotta warriors scenic area. If you want to buy them, you can compare them.
Looking at the fountain is a real surprise. The heat and fatigue of a day have disappeared by the fountain. The fountain is very beautiful, but this is second. The most important thing is that when the wind blows the water from the fountain, it blows on the surrounding tourists. At this moment, everyone shows the purest smile, which has nothing to do with utility. It seems that they have returned to their childhood and experienced the simplest kind of happiness.
Day 3: Huaqing Palace, Terracotta Warriors
huaqing Palace
I reported a one-day tour at Qunar, 208, which included tickets for Huaqing Palace and Terracotta Warriors, as well as a lunch, which was cheaper than buying the ticket myself. There were also tour guides and bus transfers, which was quite good.
First we arrived at Lintong Museum. I visited the three terracotta warriors that are said to be the first to be discovered.
The weather is not good. As soon as we arrived at Huaqing Palace, it began to rain.
The pool where the imperial concubine and the emperor bathe.
Natural jade covers the bottom.
The pool where the emperor bathes
The tour guide said that the two broken bricks were the most primitive, and the rest were made up by a certain dynasty later.
The water quality of Lishan Hot Spring ranks first in the world.
It is said that this place was originally used as hot spring water for tourists to wash their hands, but later it was turned off due to too many tourists.
Many, many celebrities have bathed here.
It's really difficult to take a picture without anyone, because it's raining and everyone is holding umbrellas. There are so many people that it's difficult to even walk.
Terracotta Warriors
After entering the Terracotta Warriors Scenic Area, we were given a professional explanation and learned a lot of knowledge that we didn't understand before.
After listening to the tour guide, I was very moved. Three weeks ago, it was just a pile of fragments, and I couldn't tell what it was at all. Three weeks later, I found out that it was two horses. How hard the restoration staff worked to repair the courseware, and there was no central air conditioning in this hole. It was cold in winter and hot in summer. It was very hard and worthy of admiration.
This is a robbery hole dug by tomb robbers.
yongxingfang
After breaking up the group, we went to Yongxing Square, which is more worth visiting than Hui Street. It is not as big as Hui Street, but it is not chaotic and the food is more delicious.
The famous bowl of wine costs five yuan per bowl and sells for three bowls. In fact, it's not wine, it's a drink, and it doesn't taste much...
After returning to the hotel from Yongxingfang, my trip in Xi'an was basically over.
