2020 is a year of great contemporary significance. During this year, we experienced various disasters such as epidemics and floods. Some people say that we have witnessed the generation of history, and the college entrance examination has been delayed for a whole month. This can be said to be an unprecedented major event in modern history. So after the college entrance examination, the epidemic eased, so I decided to go out and relax, as a reward for myself.
Xi'an is a city that I have been longing for since I was in junior high school. I know that there is the Tang Dynasty where Li Taibai spat it out, there is also the Terracotta Warriors, one of the Eight Wonders of the World, and there is also the place where Journey to the West began. So I made the strategy and embarked on a trip.
The Internet says that the best time to travel to Xi'an is October, but the schedule is that I arrived at Xianyang International Airport on August 1st. As an inland central city, I have to say that I feel as hot as a roasted sweet potato.
On the night the plane landed, I went to the famous "Ranxu" Big Wild Goose Pagoda. Journey to the West is the white moonlight in my childhood memory. The story is false, but the master is true. Xuanzang's contribution to the inland westward journey is also true.
The Big Wild Goose Pagoda stands in Dacien Temple and was built personally by Master Xuanzang. It is solemn and simple, and witnesses the iteration of history with a calm attitude. The tower has a total of seven floors (this is the reason why saving a life is better than building a seven-tiered pagoda) and is more than 60 meters high. Each floor displays different historical relics. The most precious ones should be the Buddha relics in the tower room on the third floor. and the priceless Bayeye Sutra, these are all precious Buddhist treasures brought back by Master Xuanzang from the West. Inside the tower, there is also a monument titled "Preface to the Holy Religion of the Great Tang Dynasty", a masterpiece of the great calligrapher Chu Suiliang in regular script. It is also known as the "Two Saints and Three Wonders Monument" and has been praised by calligraphy enthusiasts of past generations.
Behind the Big Wild Goose Pagoda is Xuanzang Sanzang's Sanzang Courtyard. The temple houses Master Xuanzang's top bone relics and copper sitting statue, as well as carved murals and ancient historical books that record his life stories. It is the largest Xuanzang Memorial Hall at present. It is available to countless tourists to visit every day. There is also the only Bora tree planted by Master Xuanzang in the world, which was transplanted into the temple in 2016.
At eight o'clock in the evening, I watched Asia's largest fountain performance in the North Square of the Big Wild Goose Pagoda. The dancing water column was matched with colorful lights and danced rhythmically with the music. In those few minutes, the cheers of people around me and the shouts of children I couldn't hear anything. I was immersed in the huge impact of modernity and history.
Leaving the Big Wild Goose Pagoda Square, behind you is the Tang Dynasty Sleepless City with a strong commercial atmosphere. The food and performances are full of strong Tang Dynasty cultural characteristics throughout the process. Hanfu enthusiasts can be seen everywhere shuttling among the crowded crowds. I feel like a temple fair in the Tang Dynasty, where everyone forgot all their troubles.
By the way, the tumblers who became popular on the Internet are also here! But after seven o'clock, I was already crowded, and I didn't know when the queue would last. I was so tired just after getting off the plane, so I returned to the hotel and prepared to visit my little sister online.
Xi'an is a city where more than ten dynasties were established. It has a strong historical and cultural atmosphere and has many cultural and tourist attractions. What is more important to me is that there are also Bingfeng Roujiamo with brush brushes and crispy gourd chicken with cold skin. Mutton steamed buns...
