As the ancient capital of the thirteen dynasties, Xi'an has a rich history and culture. In addition, the popular TV series "The Flowers Bloomed That Year" and "White Deer Plain" were filmed in Xi'an as the background. For a time, this ancient city was pushed to a popular city.

"The spring breeze is full of horseshoe disease, and I can see all Chang 'an flowers in one day", which best reflects the situation of this trip. The plane at 8:30 p.m. was delayed twice, and it was already 3:00 a.m. when I landed in Xi'an and arrived at the booked hotel. Xi'an in the early morning gave me another unspeakable beauty. The prosperous times of the Tang Dynasty that never sleeps are indeed worthy of their reputation. Looking down from above Xi'an, the lights are bright and prosperous, giving me a great sense of familiarity even when I came to Xi'an for the first time and warming everyone.

In Xi'an, there is a total of 5 days, but the two days are mainly about arrival and return trips. The real time to play in Xi'an is 3 days.

In three days, I experienced the customs of the Zhou Dynasty and the Spring and Autumn Period and Warring States in the Book of Songs, and also saw Qin culture and Tang culture. Although the journey is short, the culture is very rich.

the first day

Xi'an Bell Tower Sende Hotel

The location of the hotel is beyond mention, just on the northeast corner of the Bell Tower and on the edge of West Street. The location advantage is too obvious. In the past, the hotel building and the bell tower were both cultural relic buildings. The subway and bus are nearby, and you can walk to Hui Street at night. It is really great to visit Kaiyuan International. Before coming here, I specifically saw that this hotel was under construction online, and later I called the hotel. The construction was completed in June, so I can stay with peace of mind.

Take Metro Line 2 and get off at Bell Tower Station. When you come out, you will arrive at Xi'an Bell Tower Sende Hotel.

In particular, Xiao Pang at the front desk has a particularly good service attitude. He checked in very quickly. The young lady at the front desk is gentle and attentive. When she came, she was carrying luggage, and the front desk quickly called the clerk to come over and help carry the luggage.

The hotel's decoration is more exquisite, luxurious and stylish. Although it is not as good as a five-star hotel, the conditions are much higher than those of ordinary business hotels.

The room is very spacious and the bed is very comfortable so you can rest well.

The room adopts the most advanced intelligent room control system to intelligently manage and control the room's TV, air conditioning, lighting, curtains, background music, service systems and other facilities.

Toiletries are all available, shampoo is very easy to use, and the fragrance is very light and fragrant.

the next day

Hancheng Lake Scenic Area

the next day

Hancheng Lake Scenic Area

This place was originally Tuanjie Reservoir (ancient water transport open channel). The widest part of the water surface is 80 meters, the narrowest part is 30 meters, the water depth is 4 to 6 meters, and the lake surface is 850 acres. It is a characteristic ecological park integrating flood control security, garden landscape, water ecology, cultural relics protection and urban agricultural irrigation.

There is a statue of Emperor Wu of the Han Dynasty in the scenic area. The height is 21.5 meters, which symbolizes the 215 years of rule of the Western Han Dynasty. The height of the base is 7 meters, implying that Liu Che of the Emperor Wu of the Han Dynasty was the seventh emperor of the Western Han Dynasty. The back of the statue faces north to south, holding a sword in one hand to stabilize the border, widely spreading the king's way and barbarians; with the other hand, promoting Confucianism and the world, demonstrating the heroic spirit of Emperor Wu of the Han Dynasty who unified the country and had thousands of miles in mind. This statue is also the largest among the emperors in the country at present.

The momentum is quite magnificent.

There are two Han watchtowers built in the lake, which are the double watchtowers of Fengshan Mountains. The watchtowers are 10.9 meters high and are an extremely important architectural form in the ancient Chinese architectural system.

There is also a site at the southeast corner of the Han Chang 'an City Wall. Although we have no chance to see its true appearance today, it is good to walk around the site.

Before getting off the boat, you can see Dafeng Pavilion here from afar.

Sir Dafeng, there is a welcoming ceremony with Han Dynasty etiquette. The arrival of the emperor is very spectacular.

Dafeng Pavilion is filled with Han flags, and there are real people guarding each flag, which well restores the scene of that year.

Walking down from the 7th floor of Dafeng Pavilion, the 4th floor is a scaled-down mold of famous attractions in Xi'an.

It contains the big and small wild goose pagodas well as various city gates and palaces.

Walking here is like walking through several scenic spots, large and small in Xi'an.

Shaanxi History Museum

Shaanxi History Museum, China's first large-scale modern national-level museum and the first batch of "AAAA"-level tourist attractions in China, is known as the "Pearl of the Ancient Capital and the Treasure House of China."

Generally speaking, when I go to an unfamiliar city, I like to go to the museum in this city first, because museums are the best place to learn about the city's past life.

The Shaanxi History Museum is also quite famous across the country, mainly because Xi'an has a long history and has experienced many dynasties, so there are many cultural relics unearthed.

At present, the museum has set up three exhibition halls based on time. The museum does not require tickets. You can use your ID card to collect tickets and enter the venue. It will be closed on Monday.

This is a famous stone drum. The stone drum is engraved with words, which is relatively rare in Chinese history.

Qin Tiger Talisman is 9.5 cm long, 4.4 cm high and 0.7 cm thick. The tiger made a walking posture, with its head raised and its tail curled.

The colors are bright and harmonious, and they are the best in the Tang Dynasty.

This is a group of pottery figurines traveled by the emperor with hundreds of officials. Hundreds of people were carved here, as well as horses and carriages. Each person's demeanor and posture are different, which shows how clever the pottery workers are.

In our ancient times, many of these works were created based on Buddhist culture because they were deeply influenced by Buddhism.

datang sleepless city

The Datang Sleepless City project is located at the foot of the world-famous Big Wild Goose Pagoda in Qujiang New District, Xi'an. It is a key construction project in Shaanxi Province and Xi'an City. The project is based on the culture of the Tang Dynasty, with the elements of Tang style as the main line, and is characterized by experiential consumption. It strives to create a one-stop consumption paradise integrating shopping, catering, entertainment, leisure, tourism and business.

There are many lanterns in the middle of the road, as well as some small bridges and flowing water and poets reciting poems and composing poems.

These sculptures constitute various exhibition areas of the Tang Dynasty's Sleepless City. In addition to such small sculptures, there are also statues such as Li Shimin and Xuanzang, showing the supreme glory of the Tang Dynasty.

These sculptures are very realistic, and there are many people taking photos here, and I am no exception.

At the end of the Tang Dynasty's Sleepless City is the Big Wild Goose Pagoda.

This is also a reflection of the filial piety of the people of the Tang Dynasty. The Big Wild Goose Pagoda has a history of more than a thousand years and is a rare preserved monument.

The night at night in the Big Wild Goose Pagoda is also extremely lively today. I used to see the music fountain under it, but now I am here again to enjoy the noise in the night sky belonging to Xi'an. It is so good.

Within ten minutes 'walk, you can see the brightly lit bell tower.

When I returned to the hotel in the evening, I saw that the lights of the Bell Tower were very beautiful. It was so beautiful.

The rooftop rooftop of the Sende Hotel is a good place to watch the night view. I also ran into a beautiful lady from the same hotel wearing Hanfu.

the third day

in the book of songs

The Book of Songs is the first characteristic town with the theme of the Book of Songs in the country. It is located on the bank of the Feng River in Xi'an City, Shaanxi Province. The construction of the "Book of Songs" takes the culture of the Book of Songs as its soul, transforming all the scenery, B & Bs, music, and characters on the land involved in the "Book of Songs" into realistic landscapes and buildings. There are a series of buildings and landscapes corresponding to and integrated with the Book of Songs, such as Guofeng Square, Luming Food Street, Guanju Square, Xiaoya Bookstore, etc., as well as ceremonies and music of the Book of Songs.

There are not only very interesting small shops in the Book of Songs, but also many places selling food. The locals in the northwest like to eat steamed buns most, so many courtyard doors have these.

Here, we can bring the world back to poetry.

The Chinese Guqin Museum provides a good explanation about guqin, including the materials used to make guqin, the need for good ancient wood, and the skills of making guqin

Xi'an Museum + Little Wild Goose Pagoda

Xi'an Museum is a museum integrating museums, scenic spots, and urban gardens in Xi'an City, Shaanxi Province. Opened to the outside world in 2007. It is famous for the precious cultural relics displayed, including the thousand-year-old ancient towers of the Tang Dynasty, the melodious morning bells of the Wild Goose Pagoda, and the beautiful garden landscape.

After all, Xi'an Museum is a city-level museum, which is still a little far from the Shaanxi Museum. Although there are many cultural relics here, their exquisiteness and historical value are naturally not as good as Shaanxi Museum. However, this place enjoys its superior geographical location. It is close to the Little Wild Goose Pagoda, and the sense of history is self-evident.

There are also some Qin terracotta warriors and Tang tri-color exhibits here. The exhibits are well preserved and exquisite in shape, which can still give history enthusiasts a feast for their eyes.

The Xiaoyanta Cultural Relics Reserve was officially opened to the public in 1980. During the opening process, Chang 'an ancient music, horse tying piles and some folk exhibitions and cultural relics were continuously enriched in the park. The Xiaoyan Pagoda and the ancient buildings of Jianfu Temple are integrated with them.

There are many attractions to visit in the Xiaoyan Pagoda Scenic Area, and you can also ring the bell to pray for blessings. The so-called morning bells and evening drums are also displayed here, but they are all 1:1 replicas of the original.

Here, you can ring the bell as a group. The bell is very loud and the sound of knocking is very loud.

Huimin Street Gaojia Courtyard

After a century of vicissitudes, the Gaojia Courtyard is one of the most completely protected Han residential courtyards in Xi'an City. It is located on Muslim Snack Street, Beiyuanmen, Xi'an. Its main body is a building during the Chongzhen period of the Ming Dynasty. It has a history of more than 400 years. The building layout is in the form of three courtyards arranged horizontally, all facing north to south. The compound covers a total area of 2844 square meters, all of which are in the form of clear buildings with brick and wood structures.

Here you can enjoy Huayin's old opera and see shadow puppets.

These are all intangible cultural heritage and are very valuable and worth viewing.

After watching Huayin's old opera, you can continue to enjoy the shadow puppet show here by walking inward along such a courtyard.

Shadow puppet shows are also something I have always wanted to see. After coming to Xi'an many times, it is a pity that I have never experienced it once.

Shadow puppet theater, also known as "shadow theater" or "lantern shadow theater", is a folk drama in which figures are made of animal skin or cardboard silhouette to show stories. During the performance, the artists behind the white curtain manipulated the shadow figure while telling the story using local popular tunes, accompanied by percussion instruments and strings, which had a strong local flavor. Its popularity is extremely wide, and various shadow puppets have been formed due to the different sounds performed in various places.

After watching the shadow puppet show, walking back is a clothing display hall. The costumes here are beautifully embroidered and the costumes are made of good materials. From adults 'clothes to children's clothes, there are different specifications and different systems. This is the ancient people's emphasis on this stitch.

This antique building and the red lanterns give people a feeling of traveling through.

Xi'an City Wall Lantern Festival

Xi'an City Wall, also known as Xi'an Ming City Wall, is the largest and most completely preserved ancient city wall in China. It is located in the central area of Xi'an City, Shaanxi Province. The wall is 12 meters high, 12-14 meters wide at the top, and 15-18 meters wide at the bottom. The outline is a closed rectangle with a circumference of 13.74 kilometers. People inside the city wall are accustomed to calling it the Ancient City, covering an area of 11.32 square kilometers. The famous Xi'an Bell and Drum Tower is located in the center of the Ancient City.

The Xi'an City Wall Lantern Festival is an internationally renowned and domestic first-class Chinese folk cultural event with Xi'an characteristics that uses a 100-meter-long lamp to light up the ancient city and vividly interprets colorful light art.

The biggest feature of the Xi'an City Wall Lantern Festival is that it is based on the original Ming City Wall. If we want to see such a lantern festival, we must go through the city gate and go up the stairs and walk on the bluestone bricks of the Ming and Qing Dynasties. This feeling is still very different.

Classical Chinese buildings are still very charming with such bright yellow light.

the fourth day

Qin Shihuang Mausoleum Museum (Terracotta Warriors)

What an ancient army formation from 2000 years ago. They were clad in strength, neat in appearance, majestic and unstoppable. In an instant, you will feel the disappearance of historical distance, and a mysterious force will bring you into the ancient battlefield of shouting and killing, and the howling of chariots. It is really "I have never seen the ancients before, and I will never see the ones who will come after."

These pottery figurines are said to have color on their bodies when they were first unearthed. However, due to protection issues and their exposure when they were first unearthed, the color oxidized and retreated, leaving only the appearance we see today.

huaqing Palace

Huaqing Palace in the Tang Dynasty was a separate palace where feudal emperors traveled. Later, also known as "Huaqing Pool", is located in Lintong District, Xi'an City, Shaanxi Province. Including the original Lishan National Forest Park, together with the Summer Palace, Yuanmingyuan, and Chengde Summer Resort, are known as China's four major royal gardens.

There is a lion dance team at the entrance. This is the most popular street performance in Chinese tradition. Taking advantage of the New Year atmosphere, I can also enjoy it on the spot.

Speaking of Huaqing Palace, it has a long history, starting from King You of Zhou playing with princes in the Zhou Dynasty, to the love between Emperor Xuanzong of the Tang Dynasty and Imperial Consort Yang in the Tang Dynasty, to the visit of Empress Dowager Cixi in the late Qing Dynasty and the Xi'an Incident in modern times.

It has witnessed many moments in Chinese history, both ups and downs.

In terms of the decoration of Huaqing Pool, there are rockery, flowing water and courtyards. It is really not like the northwest, but more like the beautiful Jiangnan.

This is a relatively bold sculpture and the earliest such sculpture in China.

During the entire three days of visiting Xi'an, some places were revisited, and some places were encountered for the first time.

Under the city wall of Xi'an, there are flashing lights and flying snowflakes. I think this is one of the reasons why I have liked Xi'an for so many years.

The ancient city of Xi'an is Chang' an but not Chang 'an, but it is really true that it has become new over time.
