Xi'an is one of the cities with the most historical and cultural heritage in China. Except for Beijing, no other city can compete with it.
Before going to Xi'an, what I could think of was Afang Palace, Weiyang Palace, Daming Palace, Huo Qubing Tomb, Xi'an City Wall, Xi'an's morning bells and dusk drums, and the bustling Chang' an Street... How many historical memories are left in Xi'an today?
The car slowly stopped at the entrance of Xi'an Orange Plaza Hotel. The hotel was booked by a friend in Xi'an. He knew that I liked history and culture, and said that this hotel was very book-like and I should like it.
I took my daughter into the hotel. Sure enough, the wood-colored decoration style immediately attracted me. It had a retro style and was full of literary and artistic atmosphere. Especially the book bar in the corner. It was very elegant and heavy, and had a strong cultural atmosphere. I couldn't help but sit on the sofa. After sitting on it for a while, it was very comfortable. I thought that this kind of store would be the most compatible with Xi'an's IP.
I booked a Yijing light luxury room. The decoration of the room was Chinese and the layout was particularly simple and clear. It was exactly the type I like. There were also many toy dolls. My daughter liked it very much and went to play with it. Seeing a surprise when I first arrived in Xi'an, I naturally looked forward to the trip to Xi'an more.
The reason why I took my daughter on this trip was also because Xi'an has a profound historical and cultural heritage. I wanted her to learn more about history and perceive China's thousands of years of historical changes. The first stop we went to Xi'an City Wall, which was very close to Xi'an Orange Plaza Hotel. In fact, the Xi'an City Wall in a broad sense refers to the Tang City Wall and the Ming City Wall, and now it generally refers specifically to the Ming City Wall. Today, there are a total of 18 gates in Xi'an City Wall. At the beginning, there were four original gates: Changle Gate, Yongning Gate, Anding Gate and Dingyuan Gate.
The center of the city wall is Xi'an's famous Bell and Drum Tower. The Bell Tower and Drum Tower echo each other from a distance and are spectacular. In ancient times, the bell was struck to announce morning and the drum was beat to announce dusk, which were collectively called the morning bell and dusk drum. However, this special ceremony disappeared for more than a hundred years and was not restored until 2007. It became one of the most "ancient and modern" ceremonies in Xi'an. Climbing the Bell and Drum Tower, you will have a panoramic view of the downtown scenery and the scenery of Qinchuan. A picturesque scene of rivers and mountains makes people imagine how spectacular Chang 'an Street was in the past.
The second stop is the ruins of the Daming Palace. I have deep illusions about the ruins of the Daming Palace. The Daming Palace is the best witness to the rise and fall of the Tang Dynasty for more than 200 years. It originated from the Daxing City of the Sui Empire, which is also Chang 'an City of the Tang Dynasty. It was later converted into Yong' an Palace for summer use, which is the predecessor of the Daming Palace.
However, the once magnificent Daming Palace cannot now find any ruins or broken walls, which cannot help but make people sad. Only in today's Daming Palace Ruins Park, listening to the past winds bring a token of history. Perhaps, standing on its ruins and paying homage to the historic sites is also a spiritual encounter with history.
The same is true for the Weiyang Palace ruins. We can only find "a single word" of Weiyang Palace in the echo of history. Amid melancholy and sigh, we finally arrived at Huo Qubing's tomb that we couldn't forget. Huo Qubing's tomb is rocky and rocky, with green pines and cypresses, lush and lush, concealing the tomb body. There is also a winding scripture that leads to the top of the tomb. In particular, its stone carvings are unique. They are thick and deep, extensive and heroic, and very vivid. It also makes up for the shortcomings in my heart.
In the long history of China, Huo Qubing, the general of the hussars and champion, was the god of war I admired most. He drove straight into thousands of miles, reclaimed the Hexi River and Hetao area, and drove the Xiongnu into the desert, fundamentally eliminating the Han people's deep deep understanding of the Xiongnu. Fear, in that era, there were many romantic figures, including champion Hou Huo Qubing.
On the last night after leaving Xi'an, in the book bar of the Li Chengyi Hotel in Xi'an, I suddenly remembered Jia Pingwa's "The City of Xi'an": If you are engaged in politics and you go to the Chengdong District to see the Terracotta Warriors, you are engaged in art, and you go to the west to see Huo Qubing's Tomb, you must lead your guests to climb the tower, point to the Big Wild Goose Pagoda and Qujiang Pond, and say,"See the Big Wild Goose Pagoda?" That is a seal stone...
Even so, even if it's not as good as you imagine, I still suggest you go to Xi'an. The endless emotions in the article are always hidden in the streets and alleys of Xi'an, which is the story of Chang 'an in the past.
