"Jinglu Warehouse" dedicated to distributing food and salaries

Dongcangmen is an old street in Xi'an. It is located in the northwest of Hepingmen and connected to East Street Machangchang in the north. The Nantong City Wall is based on Xiamaling, with a total length of 541 meters. The entire street is not straight, and the southern section begins to curve westward.
Dongcang was called "Jinglu Cang" during the Qing Dynasty. It was a physical warehouse specially designed to supply food and pay for the Manchu aristocrats.
In front of Lucang there is a street running from north to south, named Cangmen. There is also an "Yongfeng Cang" in the area of Miaohou Street in the west of the city. In order to distinguish the two streets, this place is named "Dongcangmen".
Walking south along the north entrance of Dongcangmen, there is Nancheng Mosque at the west entrance of Xiwudao Lane.
The Nancheng Mosque is small in scale, all of which are Chinese-style buildings. In the west, there are three worship halls, as well as the passing hall, the lecture hall, and the Wangyue Tower. It is quiet and elegant, with exquisite brick carvings and antique.

Playing the history of Chinese music

The mention of Dongcangmen often reminds people of Dongcang Drum Music Club, one of the famous music clubs of "Xi'an Drum Music".
"Xi'an Drum Music" began in the Han Dynasty, flourished in the Sui Dynasty, and flourished in the Tang Dynasty. It is one of the most complete large-scale folk instrumental music discovered and preserved in my country so far. It is rich in tunes, rigorous in form and distinctive in style, and is known as "the symphony of ancient China."
Because the inheritance method is very primitive, for thousands of years, the charm of Xi'an drum music has been passed down and taught by folk music masters, musicians, and artists, leaving behind a true history of Chinese folk music!
In 2005, Xi'an Drum Music was included in the National Intangible Cultural Heritage List. In 2009, it was approved by UNESCO to be included in the Representative List of Intangible Cultural Heritage of Humanity.
The Dongcang Drum Music Club was originally called Jinglu Dongcang Drum Music Club. During the Ming and Qing Dynasties, it belonged to the granary of the imperial palace. It was one of the few guest-run Drum Music Club in Xi'an that ate royal grain. It has been included in the "Material Cultural Heritage List of Beilin District".
The drummer plays the sheng, flute and tube, hits the square box and double cloud gongs, and plays the drum and the war drum in close cooperation. "Fa" alternates with each other in the beat of drums, playing the ancient oriental symphony.
The drums beat the soul of China. The long sound of the flute tells the charm of the ages. The royal elegance of the Tang Dynasty has been passed down to this day, and the history of Chinese national music has continued to develop. When we listen to the wisdom of history and look back at the treasures of thousands of years, our hearts are always full of admiration and emotion.

The inexhaustible fireworks in the world

Today's Dongcangmen no longer has its original functions. It is no longer an ancient granary, but has become a treasure "morning market" for Xi'an people. But no matter how the years change, everything here is related to "eating".
The Dongcangmen Morning Market is located in Dongcang Lane, Hepingmen Lane. Some people say that it is even more lively than the Xiaonmen Morning Market!
As soon as the first ray of sunshine rose in the morning, the Dongcang Morning Market opened. Every morning there is a lot of people here, and the sound of horns and bargaining is endless.
Snack stalls and clothes stalls on Yanjie are all feelings from childhood. Butcher shops, tofu stalls, everything you need. There are also many breakfast stalls. The buns are super big, the fruits and vegetables are fresh, and the prices are very affordable.
At seven o'clock in the morning, eating a bowl of hot soup among the bustling crowd requires three fried buns for one yuan, plus soft glutinous rice cakes and crispy fried dough sticks. When I hear the crisp chirping of birds on the trees, I feel like life has become more energetic.
After dinner, take a walk at the root of the city wall and watch the lights of the city tower gradually turn on. It is a world full of fireworks. After turning a city wall, I suddenly encountered a gathering place for young people. The old vegetable market and the cultural district merged, and the atmosphere became lively.
The fireworks in the world are the most soothing
