As we all know, Xi'an is a tourist city with a strong history and culture. Thirteen dynasties established their capitals here, and countless cultural relics have been unearthed. When you pick up a piece of broken copper and iron on the street one day, it may be priceless cultural relics! Xi'an has such a strong cultural atmosphere and so many cultural attractions. So, how can we swim to the essence of these attractions? Follow in my footsteps to explore and ensure that you will gain knowledge.
I have been to Xi'an five times in total, both for business and pure tourism. Generally, I choose to book a hotel around the Bell and Drum Tower or the ancient city wall. There is a good one. Xi'an Orange Plaza Hotel is near the Bell and Drum Tower, and the surrounding food, drink, and entertainment transportation is also very convenient. The most important thing is that the room has a particularly good sense of experience and a great humanistic atmosphere. It feels integrated into the historical culture of Xi'an's environment. It is a good fusion of modern fashion and historical retro. It is worth trying to stay.
The first morning of the ancient city wall
On the morning of the first day, it was a good idea to climb the ancient city wall before the sun was shining. The ancient city wall is not far from Xi'an Li Chengyi Hotel and can be found quickly. This ancient Ming city wall is the largest and most completely preserved ancient city wall in China. It is also the first batch of national key cultural relics protection units and a national 5A-level tourist attraction. After climbing the ancient city wall, you can overlook the scenic scenery of Chang 'an Street in Xi'an in the past. It is very spectacular and shocking. You can vaguely explore the shadow of the prosperous Tang Dynasty. Cycling around the ancient city wall is a relatively appropriate event. You can roughly visit all Changle Gate, Yongning Gate, Anding Gate and Anyuan Gate. What is worth integrating is that Xi'an ancient city wall in the narrow sense refers to the ancient city wall of the Ming Dynasty, which is what we call it now, but in the broad sense it refers to the ancient city wall of the Tang Dynasty and the ancient city wall of the Ming Dynasty.
The first afternoon of Maoling
The two mausoleums, Maoling and Qianling, both have their own obvious characteristics. Maoling is the mausoleums of Emperor Wu of the Han Dynasty and Liu Che. Accompanying it are the tombs of many courtiers such as Huo Qubing and Huo Guang. Among many mausoleums in China, this is also the only one. Qianling is the joint burial tomb of Emperor Gaozong and Wu Zetian of the Tang Dynasty. It is also the only tomb in China where two husband and wife emperors are buried together. Maybe many people will choose one of these two attractions. If I recommended it, I would recommend Maoling. There are two main reasons. First, I like Huo Qubing. Hou Qubing, the champion of the hussars general, drove the Xiongnu out of the Hetao Hexi area. The deeds of the area cannot be too dramatic and are a model for our generation; Second, because there is a stone carving in Maoling that "horses riding on the Xiongnu" that is very stimulating to hormones, and the era of fighting the Xiongnu for a lifetime was exciting.
The first night of the Bell and Drum Tower
The night view of the Bell and Drum Tower is the most beautiful. The Bell Tower and the Drum Tower face each other across the street. One bells and the other drums complement each other. They are collectively called the "Morning Bell and Twilight Drum". The night view is very charming and it is absolutely amazing to take photos. But what you may not know is that this "morning bell and evening drum" timing system had disappeared for more than a hundred years before that, and was not restored until 2007.
The next morning, the Terracotta Army
We all know the value and status of the Terracotta Warriors. It is one of the Eight Wonders of the World, and it and the Egyptian Pyramid are the only eight surviving miracles. This scenic spot is always crowded with tourists. It is for sure to queue up, but it is also worth it. If a friend who doesn't know much about this history or does not have a rich knowledge of history must hire a tour guide, I think it is still worth it. Because if you don't understand it, it's a waste of time to go. The tour guide explains it in detail and understanding, which adds a lot of knowledge, so that it will make sense to shop.
The next afternoon, Huaqing Pool, Museum
Huaqing Pool was the place where Imperial Consort Yang took a bath. At the foot of Mount Li, Huaqing Palace was the place where Emperor Ming of the Tang Dynasty and Imperial Consort Yang drank and enjoyed happily. There is a wall carving of Bai Juyi's famous "Song of Everlasting Regret", which also tells the love story between the emperor and the imperial concubine. It is eloquent and spectacular. Friends who have read "The Legend of the Demon Cat" may understand the content of "Song of Everlasting Regret" from the side.
The museum is a epitome of a city's history and culture, and it is also a gathering place of humanistic atmosphere. Every time I visit a city, I like to visit the local museum. As the ancient capital of the Thirteen Dynasties, Xi'an, the historical relics it collects and displays can imagine. What impressed me the most is the Chang' an Street exhibition in the museum, which highly restored the prosperity and ancient charm of the Tang Dynasty and the street layout of the Tang Dynasty, making you dream of returning to the Tang Dynasty and Chang 'an in one second.
Friends, I will go to Xi'an for a cultural trip in two days. I think this route is very reasonable. If you have better suggestions and route planning, please let me know?
