This trip was an accident without any preparation. Due to the impact of the epidemic, we did not plan to travel; it was also due to the impact of the epidemic that the company suddenly took a two-week holiday. Originally, she planned to take her second son on a trip this year. As her kindergarten graduation trip, she never thought that the idea would basically be abandoned because of the epidemic. The accident was that the child's father was going to Xi'an on a business trip, so he took advantage of this time, place and people to make a trip at will. He just wanted to leave and go out for a walk.
Just before going out, I hurriedly read a few travel guides that I thought were good on the Internet and learned from the reference itinerary.
We traveled from Guangdong to Xi'an. The route is Guangdong Baiyun Airport to Xianyang. Due to the epidemic, the ticket price was much cheaper than usual. The time period we chose was after 11:00 noon. At that time, there were more than 400 for adults and children. The total was only more than 800. If we took a bullet train from Guangzhou to Xi'an, the ticket price was more than 800, and the time was long, so this trip actually reduced our travel expenses.
As we were following our child's father on a business trip, someone picked us up near our child's father's company. We checked that there was a subway that went directly to Xi'an, so it was also very convenient. At night, I briefly read the guide in the hotel, combined with taking my child (over 5 years old) out alone, and then asked for an itinerary that suits the child's age. So the following arrangements were made (and it was finally discovered that the plan was always the same as the changes, the walking was tired, the heat was too hot, and the epidemic was affected, all of which led to the difference between the itinerary and the plan):
Day1: Hui Street → Academy Gate → Ancient City Wall → Night View of Bell and Drum Tower
Day2: Shaanxi History Museum → Little Wild Goose Pagoda → Big Wild Goose Pagoda → Music Fountain
Day3: Terracotta Warriors → Huaqing Pool → Song of Eternal Sorrow
Day1:
We took the subway from where we lived to Yongdingmen, and then when we exited the subway entrance, we saw the ancient city wall. So I thought, why not take the children to ride a bicycle first, but when we asked, we said that the epidemic affected the ancient city wall now requires an appointment. You can go up. So it took some time to get it, but the day was full and I had to make an appointment for the next day. I had no choice but to change the plan (see, I changed the plan as soon as I left). At that time, I also happened to see that I had to make an appointment to go to Datang Furong Garden, so I quickly made an appointment.
If you couldn't visit the ancient city wall, you could only start from the place closest to the subway entrance, follow the directions given by others, and walk with your children to the gate of the academy. It was relatively early at that time, and we saw a couple taking wedding photos at the gate of the academy (during the past few days, you can always see many newcomers taking wedding photos).
Academy Gate-Newcomer taking photos
Maybe there were not many people on the streets in the early morning; or maybe the epidemic caused people to go out less. This road was deserted and deserted, but he preferred this kind of walking without looking at the head. There are some calligraphy, antique, and cultural shops on both sides of the street. They are not very attractive to children and me. The buildings are very historical, so I took the children to get to know them a little.
The ancient buildings exude a deep cultural atmosphere
The little guy found out that the two lions at the door were different, and he specially wanted to take pictures himself.
Explain to her: The lion is stepping on hydrangea under his feet, and the female is stepping on the cub.
Walking on the road, I was hungry and couldn't wait to buy something at various delicious shops recommended online, so I bought a roujiamo on this street. It seems to be braised pork. I've been back for so long and I forgot it. When I was hungry, I ate very delicious, full of meat, and satisfied.(In fact, when I recall later, the ones recommended online may not be the best ones. People who have been there don't have so much time and stomach to taste all the delicious food, so it doesn't matter whether it's a restaurant or not, but how it feels when eating.)
I wonder whose Roujiamo is
There was no clear purpose along the way, so I just watched while walking. When I was tired, I took the subway to the Bell and Drum Tower. I planned to visit the Bell and Drum Tower and then visit Hui Street. But! After arriving, I was told that I had to make an appointment before I could enter (there was a public account for the reservation, but I felt that I didn't have to go there. I wanted to see it because the night view was more beautiful, so I didn't plan to go again in the rest of my itinerary).
Take a photo-what it feels like to travel here
The Bell and Drum Tower are very close to each other, and they walk to Hui Street. Visiting Hui Street is a child's favorite. There are food and toys to watch, which really satisfies her expectations:
The small alley entering from the left on Huimin Street is cheaper and cost-effective, while the ones sold on the main street outside are also much more expensive, so find the right place to buy and save money. I especially like the bookmarks on the street. I want them all and can't put them down... There are also those fun gadgets and beautiful Hanfu (although I wanted to do it, in view of my distrust of my own aesthetics in choosing clothes, I just wanted to take a look).
I booked tickets to Datang Furong Garden in the evening (all the attractions during the epidemic didn't cost money, but they all needed to be booked in advance, which seemed to save a lot of money. However, my strategy couldn't be a reference for others to spend), so I went nearby, found a random restaurant I seemed to like for dinner, and ordered mutton steamed buns. I felt that the food was greasy, and I felt even more oily after eating... But this garlic is delicious. I feel like this sour and sweet garlic and am deeply impressed.
mutton and bread pieces
I went to visit Datang Furong Garden after eating my fill and watched the night view. In fact, I mainly saw the guide that there were pigeons to feed here. I promised my child to take her to feed the pigeons (my sister went to Lijiang on her kindergarten graduation trip and fed seagulls there. She kept telling her about it to her sister, who also wanted to). But it was too late and the pigeon had already gone home to sleep (she was disappointed and promised to find an opportunity to go again the next day). Because it's been a day of walking, the weather is hot, but it's also a little sunburn, and the children are easy to get tired. In order to be able to play in the next few days, they choose to take a tour bus to go around (this one ticket can go around at any time halfway through the way. Stop anywhere at any time, or you can get on the bus at will with your ticket, but it is limited to one lap). The night view of Furong Garden is still very beautiful, and there are performances. It is more suitable for people in love or people who like natural scenery to go shopping.
Night view of Tang Dynasty Furong Garden
It was quite late after shopping at night, so I walked to my place with the little guy. I felt that there were not many delicious inns here like Lijiang, so I randomly found a cheap place to stay and renovated the community. It was no longer felt like I just stayed for one night. On the way, I saw a bookstore where Fan Deng studied. It was already late at that time, otherwise I would have wanted to visit it. During the few days in Xi'an, I saw several Fandeng houses and others, and I felt that I attached great importance to education. The first day of walking was quite hard. The children had delicious food. I looked at different humanities and nature, and I felt quite good.
Day2:
I made a reservation in advance for the Shaanxi History Museum in the morning (there were no tickets). After entering, I rented a commentator based on the online guide, but the subsequent practice told me that it was actually unnecessary, because now there are video commentaries on my mobile phone. There are also videos to see which item is introduced. The Shaanxi History Museum is like a historical corridor that takes you from the original beginning to modern civilization. If you look at it with the idea that it is nothing more than broken copper and ancient statues, it will be completed in a short time; If you feel the torrent of history and culture with your heart, you will be deeply shocked by the civilization of each era and will have a general understanding of China's development history. Even our little guy left a deep impression after seeing the museum, which became one of the gains she shared when she went home.

Shaanxi History Museum-Select some stories and attach those that children particularly like
After visiting the Shaanxi History Museum, in order to satisfy my child's idea of feeding pigeons, I took her to the Datang Furong Garden. When I first arrived, I still didn't see the pigeons. I asked the sanitation worker and said that the pigeons were in the attic and needed food. The temptation came down, but it was a pity that I still couldn't come down after working hard for a long time. It was noon, the sun was a little hot and I was a little tired, so I rested in a shady place on the side. As a result, after a short break, there was a surprise. The pigeons came down. She happily took the steamed buns she had bought in the morning, tore them little by little, and threw them to the pigeons to eat. Although there were not many pigeons, her wish was realized.
feed the pigeons
After feeding the pigeons and resting well, we set off for Yongxing Square to have delicious food for lunch. The ancient city wall is left until late afternoon, and I want to see the ancient city wall as the sun sets. I feel that there are still many delicious food in Yongxing Square, which is not expensive, very sanitary, has a concentrated food and a good environment.

The famous bowl of wine
Due to the impact of the epidemic, fewer people came, but there were still people who came to drink and smash bowls.
Yongxingfang Food Scenery
Satisfied after eating a lot of snacks, they set off for the ancient city wall after calculating that the time was about time. When I went to the ancient city wall, all I could imagine was the scene of ancient generals leading troops to patrol and always protecting the stability of this area, or the scene of grand receptions by princes and generals. All kinds of imagination make me look forward to it. We walked from Yongxing Square to the nearest Changle Gate (I asked someone, there were many stalls selling antiques on the way, but I didn't understand it, but I just passed by)

The beauty of the ancient city wall is a gift left to us by history. When you stand on the city wall and look at the scenery outside the city, you can imagine how the generals of that era guarded this pure land; when you step on it, you can Imagine how ancient soldiers patrolled day and night, just like the footsteps ringing in your ears; there is a feeling of majestic vicissitudes under the sunset, a feeling that only you can integrate into it. I really want to stay there forever and stand there forever.
Reality pulled me back. The child was hungry and she felt bored because she was still young and had not satisfied her age. She was a little regretful that she couldn't take her for a cycle. But only if you have regrets will you have reason to swim again next time, right?
I randomly found a staircase to go down to the city wall. It was late, and the child's father was busy. He came to accompany us when he had time and made an appointment to see the fountain of the Big Wild Goose Pagoda. Xi'an's subway is very convenient, and it is easy to get anywhere.
Xi'an at night
I think the place where the Big Wild Goose Pagoda is located is very prosperous. The fountain (the North Square of the Big Wild Goose Pagoda) is outside the subway entrance. The time is relatively late, and we saw the 9 o'clock scene (there are 2 games at 7 o'clock and 9 o'clock in the evening, but I didn't know because I didn't see it during the day). It's fun to show the children the fountain. The jumping water column is like a dancing elf. She likes it very much. It's a feast that combines music, vision, and imagination.

After enjoying the music fountain, I ate cold rice noodles at a nearby food street. My husband said that there are really too many people missing now. In the past, when he went there, he started nightlife so late, and it was all people eating supper. I think each has its own advantages. I don't like noise very much, but prefer wandering around alone.
Day3:
The third route in the original plan seemed to be the east line of Xi'an, suitable for people who had explored history and culture. I didn't want to check in to visit here, but as a result, the scenic spots in the direction caused by the epidemic were not open during the time I came (I didn't tell you that I could make an appointment until the day I returned). So the plan for this line is gone.
On the third day, I took the children to play near my husband's place. There was a big shopping mall where I could eat delicious food and have fun. I'm afraid this would be the children's favorite.
A simple day
I took the last photo because I once sent this business card to my future self in an ancient city: Cat's Sky City. It is a memory of me.
Day4:
Without any purpose, I heard the kind security guard uncle say in the hotel where I stayed that there was a park nearby where I could take my children to, so today was the day to visit the park. The park was very big and people here had such a leisure place. I envy it.
Record every place you walk
Day5:
I had fun with the children for 2 days. On the weekend, my husband specially set aside one day to accompany us, so he planned to take us to the snack street. I can't remember which street I went to now. Anyway, all roads lead to Rome... After wandering around the street that day, he ran to Hui Street. I found many people on the street that day, which looked more like the street that locals usually walked. It's also very fun. There are many things to eat and special things, and I can't stop eating along the way.
gourmets '
At the entrance of the street is a famous restaurant recommended online for eating mutton and steamed buns. However, I still forget its name. I only remember the difference between high-quality and ordinary mutton buns: high-quality means that the meat is twice as large as ordinary meat. I found that the amount was really enough. I don't know if I had eaten too much food in the past few days or it was still greasy, but one person couldn't eat such a big bowl anyway. Therefore: In Xi'an, there are still some people who are more happy to taste the delicious food at that time. They order a portion of each kind and share it so that they can taste the different flavors. I was so full that I could only watch and drink the recommended delicious sour plum soup.
At noon, my father was notified that there would be a meeting in the afternoon, so he left again, leaving the two of us with my child. I asked her where she would go and see what else she wanted to do. She said she also wanted to go to the piano dancing and play, see the fountain, and visit those things. Satisfy her!
But the sky in Xi'an was a little dark and too slow, and the day was very hot, so we couldn't hide from the sun. We ran to a shopping mall at the South Square of the Big Wild Goose Pagoda and rested in it all afternoon. We waited until it was late and it was dark before we got out. That's right! I forgot to say that Tang Dynasty never sleeps... In fact, in the past few days, I have walked back and forth on that street a few times. You don't need to go shopping specifically, it is the place you will visit back and forth.
On the evening of the last day, I took my children to watch the fountain again and found that the popular tumbler performance on the Internet was on the right side of the fountain (I guess the people who went might not know where it was, because I accidentally saw many people queuing up there long ago, and I went to take a look out of curiosity before discovering). I walked the street of Datang Sleepless City and saw the milk tea made by robots (according to the person who bought it, it was not good and had no soul, haha...) I bought a gift for my children when I went home.
datang sleepless city
As I wrote, I found that it was no longer like a guide, but more like recording my journey. In fact, I should have written it as soon as I got home, otherwise I would have started from 4.21 to 4.27, and now I would have written it on 6.11. If it weren't for photo memories, I wouldn't have been able to remember what I was playing for. But I feel that my trip was quite good. Although I didn't wash my soul into an empty cup, I have one insight that affects many of my future choices: Since I am willing to spend thousands of yuan on travel every year, why am I never willing to spend the money to learn something? Learn a hobby? Learn a trade? This realization made me no longer hesitate to make many choices in the future.
To summarize, if you visit Xi'an for 3 days, you can plan like this:
Day1: Academy Gate → Forest of Steles → Bell and Drum Tower (half a day in front) → Hui Street (half a day) → Datang Furong Garden (starting from evening to evening) → Datang Sleepless City (if you can visit Furong Garden quickly, there is still enough time to visit the Datang Sleepless City)
Day2: Shaanxi History Museum (half day, learn about historical development) → Yongxing Square (place for lunch) → Ancient City Wall (half day, slowly taste history) → Big Wild Goose Pagoda (watch the music fountain) → Visit the Tang Dynasty Sleepless City again (Eat, drink and play)
Day3: Terracotta Warriors → Huaqing Pool → Song of Eternal Sorrow (I have never taken this route, but I know this arrangement is possible)
If there is one more day, it will be more leisurely. You can visit other famous streets and arrange the night scenes of the Xiaoyan Pagoda, Xiaozhai, and Bell and Drum Tower, so that you can basically visit Xi'an. In fact, Xi'an is not big, but if you can walk around, you can finish it! Xi'an has a regret: I didn't experience riding. What this city gives me is: it attaches great importance to the promotion of culture; it attaches great importance to education; it is a city where men are more particular than women (I feel super formal when I meet many men on the road); it is a city where women are relatively abundant; it seems to have the feeling of being a civil servant and warrior left over from the ancient capital of the thirteen dynasties and riding horses to worship.
Watch Chang 'an
Every time you travel, different cities always give people different feelings. Explore with the eyes of discovery, and what you will eventually see will be more beautiful. As I grew up and visited different places, I have long disliked going to a place where I "visit here","take photos and check in", and gather Internet celebrities. I just want to find places that can shock my soul, touch my senses, and wash away the world. Troubles brought by the world.
