Seeing that 2020 is almost over, the temperature in Guangzhou has dropped sharply today, giving it a bit of winter. I suddenly remembered my trip to Xi'an in January this year. The desire to travel was particularly strong. I finally avoided the New Year's Day holiday and climbed the train to Xi'an alone. That was a place I had been thinking about for a long time. For a history enthusiast, what else can I compare to this unique ancient capital of the thirteen dynasties?
When I went to Xi'an for the first time, Huashan Mountain was not on my itinerary. In the end, I couldn't go even if I wanted to. Because the mountain was closed by snow, I only stayed in Xi'an for three days.
The hotel was booked on Ctrip and searched directly by word-of-mouth. Finally, I booked [Xi'an Li Chengyi Hotel]. It was night when I arrived and it was bitterly cold. A southerner still underestimated the cold in the north and felt like she was shivering. After arriving at the hotel, the young lady at the front desk was very heart-warming. Seeing that I had frozen to a dog, she immediately had clothes and hot water.
Very warm. After a while, I recovered and checked in. My little sister wanted to help me carry my luggage. She was very embarrassed, but she was still very moved in a foreign country.
The room is in my favorite style. It is Chinese style, with elegant and exquisite layout. The entire layout and color matching are very warm, full of ancient charm, and particularly secure, which makes me add another expectation for the ancient capital.
Before coming here, I looked for many guides online and chose attractions according to my own preferences, because there are too many attractions in Xi'an. On the first day, I went to the City Wall, the Forest of Steles Museum and the Bell and Drum Tower. Because the hotel is close to the Bell and Drum Tower and the night view is better, I arranged it at night. This is another reason why I chose this hotel.
I entered from the south gate, where there were many lanterns. I walked into Wengcheng, and then followed the brick steps to climb the majestic city wall. It felt really good and wide, and I could see the shadow of Chang 'an City in the past. Wei Wei's Bell and Drum Tower can be seen in the north, and Shuncheng Lane can be seen in the east. The lanterns on the city wall are full of ancient charm, giving people the feeling of traveling back to ancient times. The sun slowly scattered and was warm. It was very comfortable to rent a bicycle on it to wander above the city wall and look down at the mountains and rivers.
Walking near Duanlu Gate, I saw the Forest of Steles and the Confucian Temple standing at the root of the city wall. Shuncheng Lane separated the city wall from them. I didn't ask a guide to explain the Forest of Steles Museum because I only came here to visit the "Six Horses of Zhaoling". This museum actually contains four of them. If this collection is placed in any museum in the world, it will be a treasure of the town.
I didn't go to the Confucian Temple. After eating from Hui Street, I went to the Bell and Drum Tower. The bell and drum towers in the morning and dusk are separated by the road, standing tall in the middle of the traffic. The contrast was very strong and there was a feeling of trance. The night view at night is beautiful. Although it is not as good as the four famous buildings in China, its charm and ancient charm are still quite distinctive. As a landmark building in Xi'an, in addition to beauty, they also tell the history of Xi'an in the long history.
The next day, I only visited two attractions, Terracotta Warriors and Huaqing Palace. There is no need to say much about the Terracotta Warriors, it will be over. However, if you are not very familiar with history, it is best to ask a guide to explain it, otherwise you may not understand the greatness of the Terracotta Warriors.
Huaqing Palace is at the foot of Mount Li. There is Huaqing Pool and the moment of "Song of Eternal Regret". Watching the performance of "Song of Eternal Regret" at night is something not to be missed. In fact, I didn't have a deep understanding of "Song of Eternal Sorrow" before, but after visiting Huaqing Pool and especially watching the performance, I really understood the charm of "Song of Eternal Sorrow".
On the last day, I went to the Big Wild Goose Pagoda, Furong Garden and the Tang Dynasty Sleepless City. These three attractions are very close to each other, and I have plenty of time to play. As a fan of Tang Dynasty history, my favorite thing is the Tang Dynasty Sleepless City at Night. There is Chinatown there, which deeply restores many life scenes in the Tang Dynasty. We see many Chang 'an East and West Cities in Tang Dynasty TV dramas, which is the flavor.
In short, the three-day trip to Xi'an gave me a great feeling. The scenery of Xi'an, the city of the Tang Dynasty, the nights of Chang 'an, the simple people, the kind hearts... Maybe I am lucky that I have never been cheated, and the people I meet are all kind and warm-hearted people. When I wrote this article, my heart was still warm, so the trip to Xi'an can be regarded as very successful and enjoyable, so I wrote it down for everyone's reference.
