27 kilometers away from the Ankang Urban area, at the intersection of the Moon River and the Ganges River in the Hanjiang River Basin, there is an ancient town built during the Northern Song Dynasty and is known as the largest town in Sanqin. This place has a long history and outstanding people. It is connected to Jingchu in the east, Hanzhong in the west, Bashu in the south, and Guanzhong in the north. It has not only always been a battleground for military strategists, but also an important town where officials enter and exit and merchants interact. It is also a place where good ministers and brave generals and heroes emerge in large numbers. It is Hengkou Town, the birthplace of Chen Shufan, the former governor of Shaanxi, and Rong Hai, the richest man in Shaanxi.

In the words of Fu Shicun, a writer born in Hengkou: This is the land of heroes and the hometown of heroes. Over the thousands of years of history, the legendary figures born in Hengkou have left countless sad and happy stories. Some have been officially recorded in history and passed down through the ages; some have been compiled into stories and sung among the people; Some have been taken away by time, leaving only some fragments to evoke people's infinite reverie. The tough Hengkou person: Hu Changcai

In 1929, when Wang Jiesan, head of the Ankang County Self-Defense Corps, was clearing the bandits in Hengkou, he wanted to chop off Hu Changcai, a bandit in Hengkou. Hu Changcai's leg was broken. Wang Jiesan said: "Hu Changcai, if you are from Hengkou, stand up and don't embarrass Hengkou people." After hearing this, Hu Changcai climbed to the guillotine with his broken leg, put his neck on the guillotine and said, Commander Wang, do you think this will work? So, he died tragically...

Hu Changcai was just a civilian who took risks when Hengkou was forced to make a living in the past. Although he is at the lowest level of society, at a critical moment of life and death, he would rather bend than bend or die to surrender. This is also the most valuable thing about the perseverance of his mouth.

A loyal Hengkou person: Mrs. Guo

Mrs. Guo is the wife of Qiu Zhengde, a civilian hero. Around the 20th year of the Republic of China, Qiu Zhengde, a poor farmer in Hengkou, rose up due to his daily necessities, robbing the rich, helping the poor, and eliminating the violence and stabilizing the good. Later, due to the encirclement and suppression carried out by the militia groups of the three counties, the village was surrounded so that no one could pass through, and his wife, Mrs. Guo, was about to give birth to a child. Seeing that the officers and soldiers were about to attack the camp wall, Mrs. Guo also saw that she could not break through without taking her. She begged her husband to kill her. Qiu Zhengde couldn't bear it. She cried and begged: "In order for you and your brothers to survive, you must do this. I will still be your wife in the next life..."

Mrs. Guo's constant "loyalty" is not only manifested in taking the overall situation into account and sacrificing her life for justice in times of crisis. When interacting with others in daily life, he also abides by his duty, always puts himself in the shoes of others, and never takes advantage of others.

A chivalrous Hengkou person: Cheng Shiyin

The greatest person is to serve the country and the people. Cheng Shiyin, president of the Hengkou Chamber of Commerce, is a "well-known" figure in Hengkou, an important town in southern Shaanxi and even nine counties and one district of Ankang. For more than 20 years, he has generously donated money to charity and spared no effort to help students, building bridges, paving roads, building schools, helping students, helping the needy, and helping the needy... He has been awarded the National Advanced Individual of Love for the Elderly, and the National Advanced Individual of Care for the Next Generation Work and Sanqin Charity Award. He loves culture and home. His stories of "love for hundreds of plaques" and "protecting treasure plaques thousands of miles away" have been passed down as beautiful stories and are regarded as good stories in the land of Jinzhou.

If you are poor, you will be able to protect yourself; if you reach, you will benefit the world. From a cow herder to a philanthropist, Cheng Shiyin's responsibility in various periods perfectly interprets the chivalry and heroism of Hengkou people who are "chivalrous and benevolent".

A spineless Hengkou person: Zhao Li

Zhao Li, a girl from Hengkou, has the same fate as the daughter picked up by Liu Huifang in "Desire". When she was less than one year old, she was abandoned by her biological mother. At the critical moment of Zhao Li's studies, her adoptive parents both passed away. In order to continue studying, she worked in a small restaurant, serving vegetables, washing dishes, making dumplings... With her perseverance and tenacity, and later with the support of Cheng Shiyin, president of the Chamber of Commerce, she realized the transformation from "abandoned baby to postdoctoral" life.

In the face of life's suffering, Zhao Li's unyielding and indomitable spirit made her life unique and more valuable. It also injected new interpretations into the character of Hengkou people and added vivid examples.

Hu Changcai and Mrs. Guo are portrayals of the lower-level figures in Hengkou under a specific historical environment. Cheng Shiyin and Zhao Li are outstanding representatives of Hengkou people today. Hengkou people are tough, loyal, chivalrous, and have backbone. They have always been praised. Huang Chao, Jiao Zan, Li Zicheng, He Long, Li Xiannian, etc. have camped here and recruited soldiers. Yu Guiming, former secretary of the Gansu Provincial Party Committee, Shi Mou, commander of the Lanzhou Military Region, Wang Shousen, deputy governor of Shaanxi Province, Wang An, doctoral supervisor of the Chinese Academy of Military Sciences, and Zeng Yonghua, deputy commander of the 26th Army of the People's Liberation Army, were all Hengkou people who were born and raised here.

Thousands of years of historical rings pass by, and there are endless stories and stories about the ups and downs of the ancient town and various figures. Strolling through the long Hengkou Old Street, we watched and listened to the old people here telling about the past. Looking in the direction they pointed, we could see the unique doors in our eyes, as if we had traveled to another time and space.
