The Qinling Mountains, which stretches for more than 1600 kilometers, have been known as the dragon vein of China since ancient times. Xi'an at the foot of the Qinling Mountains is also the capital of emperors. It contains vast and vicissitudes of history and culture. The northern foot of the Qinling Mountains facing Xi'an also has rich cultural heritage. Each valley road in the Qinling Mountains is rich in natural resources, beautiful scenery, and is dotted with many historical Taoist temples. One of the Taoist temples has been around for thousands of years, but it is engraved with Korean characters everywhere, which inevitably makes people feel puzzled.

It takes about half an hour to walk along the winding mountain highway at Ziwu Yukou to reach Jinxian Temple located in Ziwu Valley in the Qinling Mountains. During the Western Han Dynasty, the main peak of Ziwu Valley was a place where the royal family sacrificed sacrifices to heaven and prayed, so Taoist culture flourished for a time, and a large number of Taoist temples began to emerge. This Jinxian Temple was built during the Tang Dynasty and has a history of more than 1300 years. It was originally built by Princess Xicheng for cultivation. The overall building of Jinxianguan is built on the mountain, facing south and north, and stacked on top of each other. The entire building complex follows an upward trend. The Taoist temple building is located on a long and narrow mountain platform between east and west, surrounded by rolling, towering and steep peaks. In front of the temple, there is a gurgling stream passing through it. Cliff murals, the sound of rocks and birds, and the surrounding trees are green, making it feel as if you have entered a fairyland.

When many tourists visit Taoist temples, they will notice that there are many Korean characters here. In front of the Yuedong Gate, there is a huge stone tablet signed by Cui Bingzhu and a line of Korean. It is difficult for anyone to believe that this thousand-year ancient road temple can have anything to do with South Korea. This leads to a story from the Tang Dynasty. During the prosperous Tang Dynasty, a Korean student came to Chang 'an to study. Later, he gave up his career career and chose to live in seclusion at Jinxian Temple in the Qinling Mountains. Later, two students of this student returned to South Korea and began preaching. This was the beginning of the development and growth of Chinese Taoist culture in South Korea, so Jinxian Temple was also regarded by South Korea as the "ancestral home of Korean Taoism." Choi Byung-ju, president of the Korean Taoist Association, made a special trip here to worship, so he left behind the stone tablet mentioned just now. There is also an interesting stone tablet here, which is the four words "Interpretation and Taoism are homologous" personally mentioned by Liu Xiaolingtong, which makes it even more difficult to understand the mystery.

Follow a steep mountain road down the back mountain of Jinxian Temple to reach the earliest altar of worship to heaven-Xuandu Altar. Although there is only one stone tablet left in Xuandu Altar today, the thousand-year legendary history that took place here is still passed down. It is also the best view to overlooking the entire Ziwu Valley. In ancient times, Ziwu Valley was the throat of Chang 'an City to the south. Later, as the northern Qinling Mountains moved westward, it gradually became deserted. At this time, a large number of temples and Taoist temples from the Tang Dynasty were also abandoned. Coupled with natural disasters such as mountain torrents, only a few Taoist temples remain. Fortunately, Jinxian Temple and Xuandu Temple are among them.

According to reports, Jinxian Temple was strictly implemented in accordance with ecological and environmental protection standards when it was built, minimizing damage and pollution to the surrounding natural ecology, and following the principle of harmonious coexistence between nature and mankind. If you have nothing to do on the weekend, why not come here to have a look!
