In addition to detailed planning, there are several things that need to be completed before departure, and they are very important!
The first is to buy air tickets in advance. Starting from about 15 days, you will pay attention to the changes in air ticket prices every day. Then when you find that the air ticket prices have almost dropped on a certain day, you will start decisively, because you will find that the low price disappears in just a few minutes. Another problem involved in booking tickets is online check-in. Online check-in allows you to choose a seat in advance. If you take your children, this matter must be taken seriously. Some airlines restrict online check-in by children, but some can, so it depends on the situation. Online check-in can be found on the airline APP or official website. The "Airlines Travel Zongheng" APP should also be available. This is where we check in when we return.
The second is to make an appointment in advance to pick up and drop off the plane, which depends on whether the itinerary is tight. Xi'an's subway is particularly developed. If the itinerary is relatively loose, you can take the subway from Xianyang Airport to the city. If the itinerary is tight, such as this time, we can make an appointment for a 7-seat business pick up on Ctrip. Don't be too pleasant.
The third is to book a hotel. This also depends on the itinerary. There are about a few points to consider. The main activity area should be as close to the hotel at the end of the daily itinerary. You can't imagine how tiring it is, but your feet must know. Distance from hotel to subway. This time, because the main attractions we visited were concentrated near the Big Wild Goose Pagoda, I booked the Xi'an Hotel. The price was moderate, the location was right, the hotel environment was moderate, and the breakfast was amazing. It was a relatively successful reservation.
The fourth is to book tickets for attractions in advance. Scenic spots in Xi'an are all popular. Even if you miss the May Day peak, it will be difficult to book tickets. Therefore, you must check in advance where the scenic spots are, whether it is a public account, APP, or Mini programs. When do you book tickets in advance, there are also some precautions, otherwise you may not be able to get tickets. This is not an alarmist, please believe me.
Fifth, pay attention to Xi'an's transportation cards in advance. I said that Xi'an Metro is very convenient, so find the "Xi'an Metro Ride Code" in the WeChat card bag and add it to the transportation card, making it very convenient when traveling. Alipay seems to work. I have never used it before. Everyone can try it.
The above are the preparatory work that needs to be completed in advance. Then there is the things you are going to bring, everyone can do it according to your own needs. What needs to be emphasized is sun protection! Sunburn! Sunburn! Xi'an is really too hot! Although you will cool off just by hiding in the shade of a tree, there are still many places without shade. My personal feeling is that the body temperature in Xi'an is definitely 3-5 degrees higher than the weather forecast temperature. By the way, there is also an ID card that you need to carry with you. Attractions generally use your ID card to enter the door.
Okay, next is about the itinerary.
The first day we landed in Xi'an was noon. After checking in, we walked from the hotel to Shanbo. In order to save time, we ate on the way. We didn't expect to meet a particularly delicious noodle restaurant with a large bowl of noodles, full of ingredients and taste. Very good, the price is also right, and the first impression we came to Xi'an is full. After arriving at Shaanxi Expo, show the order information on your mobile phone and enter the door, and then line up for an explanation. Shaanxi Expo must offer an explanation, otherwise you won't understand anything. The explanation was 300 yuan for 10 people, six of us. I thought it would be like this, but in the end, two people came over and wanted to join us in a group. In the end, we just made 10 people, so everyone shared the cost equally, which was very suitable. I was very tired after shopping and walked out of the exhibition hall. It was about 4 o'clock in the afternoon. If you want to go to the Big Wild Goose Pagoda, you have to leave immediately, otherwise it will be closed. If you are not in a hurry to enter the Cien Temple (the Big Wild Goose Pagoda is located in the Cien Temple), it is recommended to go back to the hotel and rest for more than an hour before going to the Big Wild Goose Pagoda Scenic Area. Although you cannot enter the temple, the scenic area is still very beautiful. We had no experience that day, so we sat on the chairs under the porch of Shaanxi Expo and rested for an hour, and then walked to the North Square of the Big Wild Goose Pagoda.
The musical fountain in the North Square starts at 7 o'clock, but to be honest, because I have seen better ones, this one doesn't appeal to me. Compared with the musical fountain in Hunnan, Shenyang, is more spectacular, but this one is a bit small. In front of the music fountain is Cien Temple, which is closed, but many people are taking photos outside the wall, because the red wall is really beautiful with Han costumes. I have to say that when you arrive in Xi'an, people wearing Hanfu are everywhere. Don't feel like you have traveled through. Haha! There are shops selling things on both sides of the Big Wild Goose Pagoda Scenic Area, including souvenirs, Han costumes, snacks, and everything. Beyond the South Square of the Big Wild Goose Pagoda is the pedestrian street of the Tang Dynasty Sleepless City. There are performances all the way from around 7 o'clock. The pedestrian street is carefully designed to showcase the characteristics of the ancient capital of Xi'an, such as the Tang Dynasty, Xuanzang, sculptures related to poets of the Tang Dynasty, etc. The night view is beautiful at night and the day is average. From the Big Wild Goose Pagoda to the Tang Dynasty Sleepless City, it is already 9:30 p.m. after walking and shopping back. We still walked back to the hotel and had a bite on the way. Because the noodles were too full at noon and we weren't hungry at night, we had some cold rice noodles. It's quite interesting to see decades to hundreds of years of history in any small restaurant on Xi'an Street.
The next day's trip was relatively long and we had to go to the Terracotta Warriors, so we bought some food at the convenience store the first night to prevent the children from getting hungry. We had dinner at 7 o'clock in the morning and set off at 7:30. We took the subway all the way to Huaqing Chi, and then took the tour of No. 613 from Huaqing Chi to the Terracotta Warriors. This transfer place is the most unpleasant part of my trip. When traveling on Route 613 in Huaqingchi and other places, staff organized a queue, and we were in the second position. The staff charged the ticket in advance, 5 yuan per person, which can improve efficiency, which is very good. It is acceptable to have a car separation of about 10 minutes. Who knew that something very uncomfortable happened after the bus arrived, because there was not only this bus at the station, so in addition to the long line we lined up, there were other people waiting nearby for the bus. No one paid attention to this incident. When 613 arrived, a group of people next to them suddenly rushed over and crowded in the front. Most of them were middle-aged and elderly people. The staff did not allow the driver to open the door and asked to line up, but these people ignored it completely and just squeezed hard. Finally, it was the roar and persistence of the group of people in front of us that the staff cooperated to get on the bus successfully. It was really very uncomfortable. After driving, a staff member gave a simple explanation and reminded the scenic area of things to pay attention to. It was originally a very satisfying detail, but I didn't expect it to be another pit. Before finally getting off the bus, the staff member would say that those who had made an appointment for an explanation would go directly to the park. Those who had no appointment for an explanation would queue up with her. Because they were people on the bus and were wearing uniforms, we would follow the queue and wait for the explanation. As a result, when making the payment, I found that it was different from what I checked on the official website and was a little more expensive than the official website, so I asked. The other party hesitated and avoided talking about him. Anyway, in the end, I understood it. They were cutting off the beard before the official explanation in the park. The tourists didn't know about it, so they made a fortune. So we refunded the money and went to the main entrance of the park for an official explanation. However, if you go alone or two people, and if there are few people, it is appropriate to explain it to the public transportation, because it charges 20 yuan per person per head. If there are many people, it is recommended to go to the official entrance, which is 90 yuan for less than 6 people.
There are too many people in Pit No. 1 of Terracotta Warriors. Our tour guides are quite experienced. The whole trip was okay, and the locations we found were not bad. Finally, at the suggestion of the guide, we bought another VR movie ticket for 68 yuan per person. It was a VR movie about the history of the Qin Dynasty. It lasted for half an hour and was divided into two sections upstairs and downstairs. How to put it? It seems to adults that it is a bit general. But children can take a look. After all, they will be more interested than looking at the pile of loess.
Coming out of here basically ends the journey of the Terracotta Warriors. We took a bite, took a taxi to the subway station, and then took the subway to Yongning Gate. It's already 3 o'clock in the afternoon. When we came out of Yongning Gate, we chose a Shaanxi restaurant. In the hutong, we enjoyed the fireworks of local residents while walking to the restaurant. We also walked through a bar street, which was very suitable for taking photos. The decoration of this hotel in Zui Chang 'an is antique and very ancient in the style of an ancient capital. It opened at 4 o'clock and the queue started when we arrived. We ordered dishes with very Shaanxi characteristics, as well as local beer and sour plum soup. The dishes were very delicious and recommended by this restaurant. Returning to Yongning Gate and going to the city wall, the night view is more beautiful, but it is recommended to go up at 5 or 6 o'clock. There is also the beauty of the day. At this time, you can see both the day and night view, which is very good. The bicycle is not located at the Yongning Gate Tower, which means that after reaching the city wall, you have to walk a long way before there is a rental point. The project we expected was not achieved in the end because children under the age of 12 were not allowed to get on the bus. This rule was a bit rigid, so we had to give up. We walked on the city wall for about an hour and a half before we got down and took a taxi to Sajinqiao Food Street. It's like the night market here, but it's full of food. Just go straight along the alley to the end.
After the food street ends, turn left and head straight to the Drum Tower and Bell Tower. We walked the whole way, and we walked more than 30,000 steps that day, which was the most in my history. The night view of the Bell and Drum Tower is beautiful, and the photo effect is also very good.
On the third day, since we had a flight after 4 p.m., we only had half a day's schedule. The original plan was to go to the Tang Furong Garden, which was nearby, but since the Central Asia Summit was held in Xi'an, the Tang Furong Garden was closed. So we went to Cien Temple instead, because we didn't go in on the first day. After all, it was an important destination. On the way to Cien Temple, on the right side of the North Square, there is a row of small shops. One of them is the impression of Xi'an, which is written for free to visit. Once you enter the door, there are some designs of Xi'an cultural and creative arts. It is good to take photos, and then there are free explanations. It's not a good idea, but it's not bad to listen to, but in the end, don't go up when she takes you upstairs. It's all about selling things. I think only one paper-cutting is really good. Forget the others. It takes a long walk to come out.
Cien Temple is still very good. It is beautifully built and can be photographed in every position inside. Most of the trees, flowers, plants, and courtyards are carefully arranged. It contains scriptures showing Xuanzang, his history of twice 50,000 miles westward, murals, etc. There are also magnolia flowers in the courtyard. There were still a few unthanked when we went, which was very beautiful. The delay was a bit long, so we decided to go back to the hotel by subway and found a mutton pao restaurant where we got off the subway. The children liked it very much. The roujiamo we bought next door to the restaurant has a lot of meat and is quite good. The original plan was to take the subway to the airport, but it was almost 2 o'clock after eating and checking out. It was too late to take a taxi at the last minute, which was a bit confusing, so I suggest that everyone book a taxi in advance. It is not realistic to take a taxi in an emergency. In the end, it is still necessary to hail a taxi online to solve the urgent need. 50 minutes to the airport.
We check in online, but children still have to go to the counter to apply for boarding passes when they go to the airport. You should pay attention to this. Adults can operate directly on the machine. Xianyang Airport has a security checkpoint for children, but because there are many children, the speed is actually about the same. After landing, we still arranged to pick up the plane with Ctrip and arrived home safely.
The three-day trip was flawed, but it had met or even exceeded expectations. I was still very satisfied. I also liked the city of Xi'an very much. The streets were particularly green and I liked the feeling of towering trees and shady trees. I will still go to Xi'an next time and make up for the places I haven't visited.
The whole journey costs 7000 yuan, including transportation costs about 4800 yuan; accommodation for two nights is 700 yuan; meal costs 600 yuan; others include explanations, souvenirs and scattered expenses of 900 yuan.
Because I have to accompany my child the whole time, I don't take many photos and the photos are not very good. After all, I have to follow the child's rhythm. I hope you understand! Xi'an is very beautiful. Beautiful women who know how to take pictures have gone to wear Chinese costumes, which is like traveling through ancient costumes in minutes.
