As the name suggests,"Mawu Village" is related to horses. Mawu Village has outstanding people and is also a well-known village within a radius of dozens of miles. It has a arable land of more than 4000 acres and a population of more than 2600. It belongs to the Gaoqiao Sub-district Office of Fengdong New City, Xixian New District, Xi'an City, Shaanxi Province. History records that there are records of raising horses here as early as the Western Zhou Dynasty. Judging from the carriage relics unearthed in the Western Zhou Chari-Ma Pit in Fengjing, horses have long been used to drive cars, and the emperor also holds a "horse holding ceremony" for horse administration every year. Horses were also raised on a large scale here during the Han and Tang Dynasties. Most of the villages around Mawu Village have connections with horses. This place has always been rich in water resources. The Fenghe River has nourished the coast. The Fengshui River has blue waves of elm and coins and catkins. The ground is high and flat, and the pasture is abundant. It is not invaded by floods. It is a natural breeding farm, so it was used to raise horses for war preparations and open up farmland in ancient times.

There are many celebrities and heroes in Mawu Village, and Xue Yunsheng is the most representative among them. Xue Yunsheng was a powerful figure in the late Qing Dynasty. He had been an official in high school for 41 years. He was honest, upright and upright. He was a minister of the Ministry of Punishment. He impartially enforced the law and killed Li Changcai, a eunuch who used his power to kill people but refused to arrest the Empress Dowager Cixi. He was later dismissed from his post and returned home. After Xue Yunsheng returned home, he raised funds to build the Fenghe Bridge, named Gaoqiao, which is what people call Xigaoqiao today, from which the name of the Gaoqiao Subdistrict Office came from. After the founding of the People's Republic of China, Xuejia Ancestral Hall also became Fengxi No. 1 Primary School, which later became Mawu Primary School.

On this trip, our "educated youth" met. Due to various reasons, we only had seven people. We set off at 7 a.m. and took the subway line 5 Gaoqiao Station and got off. The beautiful scenery along the way, green wheat fields, rivers, villages and sculptural bridges, as well as parks and playgrounds, are all in front of you. Along the way, there are a series of famous tourist attractions such as Afanggong Ruins Park, Kunming Chi Qixi Park, Happy Valley, Shijingli, and Fenghe Ecological Scenic Area.
But I still had no time to see more, and I still longed for the scene when I saw the village and the villagers.

We left Exit B1 of Gaoqiao Station at around 9 a.m.. There is a bus that goes directly to the entrance of the village, but we chose to walk back for half an hour to see the changes along the way. The gravel roads in the past have been turned into asphalt roads or cement roads, with trees on both sides and rolling green wheat waves. Many shops and restaurants have been opened on the bare roadside, creating a prosperous scene. The Mawu Village Committee is set up in a large yard on the roadside. Standing at the gate are Old Brother Mao and the village committee leaders who have been waiting for a long time. We blurted out our excited thanks. Brother Mao heard that we were coming back last night, so he canceled going to the city. We contacted the leaders and villagers of the village committee, made a special trip to welcome us, and made a series of arrangements for us.

The leaders of the village committee handed over two exquisite and profound "Village Annals" to our hands. On the title page were the inscriptions and postscripts of Mao, a highly respected and respected calligrapher in Mawu. The words revealed deep feelings of hope, as well as the strong cultural heritage of Mawu Village. Hearing our arrival, Brother Guangsheng arranged for his family to prepare lunch and wine and dishes early. Lunch was the favorite rice dumplings and fish for us educated youth, which are rare things in the city. The laughter and laughter during eating and drinking are like a group of playful children back then. They are still so interested and happy when they are white-haired. It is really a collection of causes and conditions in the past life.

After lunch, Brother Xue led us through the eight forts, stockades, and streets in the village, and walked through the land where we shed sweat. I met many fellow villagers who had met before me but had unfamiliar faces. Everyone told each other that those who knew each other had come to have fun and fun. There are also young fellow villagers who are unfamiliar with them who ask,"What do these old men and women do?" If you know, hurry up and tell them that this is an "educated youth" from the village and a villager. I heard that we went to the canteen, and a middle-aged man riding an electric bicycle came back and led the way for us in the reverse direction, and then left, with a strong sense of nostalgia and simplicity. Later, when we saw him again, we actually forgot about leading the way. We only felt familiar, so he talked about leading the way.

We had a long way to go, so Brother Kang quickly bought mineral water and rushed it over on an electric bike. On the way to browse the village, I passed by Brother Xue's home. My sister-in-law and children were very enthusiastic and busy. They also had a career outside. They were busy working as tour guides for us. Their enthusiasm, meticulous and hardship were self-evident. When I was about to return, I met a very young village committee cadre in the village. She was a beautiful little daughter-in-law with her children. When I heard that we, a group of strange old people like her fathers, were leaving the village, she quickly contacted the vehicle by phone and sent us to the station and restaurant. As Brother Mao said on the title page, the Mawu people have not forgotten us, a group of educated youth. Although each person's name may be unfamiliar,"Mawu educated youth" has always been circulated in the village. Today's Mawu Village is not what it used to be. Every household has replaced its foreign buildings with earthen houses, the cement roads in the village have replaced its earthen roads, the school walls have been replaced by brick walls, and the school buildings have also been completely new. Everyone's faces were filled with happiness and joy, and there was no trace of the sadness of famine and poverty in the past. Dressing, food, clothing, and housing are no different from those of city people. They are fashionable and affluent, and have a more casual and artistic sense. We joked that if Ma Wu was like this decades ago and married female educated youth here, they all lamented that they really didn't want to leave.

This time, the leaders of the village committee, old buddies, and villagers received the reception warmly, thoroughly and hard. They ate delicious food and taught the village annals. They guided them to browse the entire village, telling stories and new feelings from the past to the present, and gained a lot. At 4 o'clock in the afternoon, I heard that we were going to return to the city. The villagers and old friends sent them to the entrance of the village and station. They were so reluctant to part with them and were moved and grateful!

At the hotel near the station, everyone drank a glass of gratitude and farewell wine. When they met for the opportunity to see each other again, they felt tears in their eyes and choked up in words. Let us wish Mawu Village better and better, and the villagers will become happier and healthier! The "educated youth" stepped on Metro Line 5 that returned to the city, and the wheat waves of Mawu Village were still fluctuating in their hearts, and the strong local greetings of the villagers were still heard in their ears. Thank you Ma Wu! Thank you folks! We will come back...
