Xinhuang Dong Autonomous County is affiliated to Huaihua City, Hunan Province. It is located in western Hunan, adjacent to southeastern Guizhou, and has an enclave with Tongren. The county has a population of about 70,000, of which the Dong nationality accounts for more than 80%. Rich historical and cultural characteristics, it was ruled by Yelang State during the Qin and Han Dynasties. Dong culture and Yelang culture have a profound heritage. Xinhuang is the birthplace of the world's intangible cultural heritage "Dong Song".
Xinhuang has convenient transportation, with high-speed rail, train and bus stations. Several surrounding airports are within a two-hour drive. There is no direct transportation method in Xi'an to Xinhuang, and you need to transfer from around the city. The air ticket is very favorable. Xi'an to Huaihua Zhijiang Airport is 290 yuan, the airport construction fee is 50 yuan, and the insurance premium is 40 yuan, totaling 380 yuan.
D1. Take the bus to Xi'an Airport for 25 yuan in the morning, and fly to Huaihua Zhijiang Airport in the afternoon. I contacted a carpool to Xinhuang and arrived at 40 yuan.
D2. Get up in the morning and ride an electric bike around Xinhuang City for morning exercise, play, and view the scenery.
D3. People in Xiangxi like to eat geese. For dinner, friends gathered and went to a hotel called "Goose Home" to taste the whole goose food. The female owner is hospitable and beautiful, the videos are even better, and the dishes are very popular with everyone. It is a very famous and unique hotel in the area. Watching and listening to the simple local people chatting is a kind of fun, and it's a unique taste. Beef meat is also a special delicacy.
D4. This place is backed by green mountains and lush with trees. Overlooking the three sides are surrounded by green water and majestic blue waves. There is no pollution from industrial waste, no noisy noise, walking through the streets of the small town, all you meet are relatives and friends. A day's life is nothing more than eating, drinking, having fun and being leisurely. This place is known as the "Hometown of Longevity". It is the "Pearl of Xiangxi, Xinhuang Dong Autonomous County". It is also the ancient Yelang State and the birthplace of the Dong songs.
Driving a self-driving battery car around Xinhuang City, along the Xinhuang Railway Bridge and the Wushui River Bank for an hour and a half, is a unique experience. Pass by Yangjiaqiao Village, Longxikou Ancient Town, Huangzhou Fengyu Bridge, Yanlai Temple, Yelang Ancient Country Scenic Area, and Iron Chain Suspension Bridge, and you will have beautiful scenery and songs all the way. Pastoral songs, ancient town people's sentiments, mountains and rivers, urban and rural areas, ancient countries and modern cities, modern and traditional intertwined, fresh and natural air, and beautiful Dong Township suitable for living and traveling.
D5. To the north of the county seat is a hillside, and there are three sides in front of you surrounded by water. Climbing this 45-degree hillside on foot, you are panting; riding an electric bike, you are scared. I feel that it is indeed difficult to climb Wangjiang Slope. Going up and down the mountain is a challenge.
Standing on the high slope of the 100,000 mountains in western Hunan, you can overlook the ancient land of Yelang surrounded by water on three sides; the west side is connected to Guizhou, and the east is followed by the Wuhe River into Xiangchuan. In the north is Xiyang in Xiguo, and in the south is the high hillside of the River. Listening to the big song of the Dong people, feeling the beautiful scenery of the mountains and rivers, I truly said: The bamboo king is beautiful, and his arrogance is understandable.

D9. From time to time, friends invited us to taste local food. When they knew that we were leaving the small town, they shook hands and said goodbye, and kept banquets to entertain, retain and send off again and again. It's really good wine and good food, and good people are even better!
D10. The order of plane and wine booked through Ctrip was 323 yuan and flew to Nanning to start a journey to the North Sea. In the afternoon, a friend drove us to Huaihua Zhijiang Airport. In the evening, we arrived in Nanning, the capital of Guangxi. The hotel picked us up and stayed overnight. The next day, we took the high-speed train to Beihai.
This trip cost about 1800 yuan per person, which is very worth it!
