In my impression, northern Shaanxi is a vast Loess Plateau. I remember when I went to Huashan one summer day a long time ago, I saw loess mountains, vertical and horizontal ravines along the way that there were few other colors except yellow.

At the beginning of September, it was raining continuously in Shanghai, so I had the idea of escaping the rainy season. Where to go was a problem, and in the end, I chose northern Shaanxi. The day before departure, we quickly settled air tickets and hotels through Ctrip, and embarked on a trip to northern Shaanxi on a rainy morning.

I picked up a good car at Xi'an Airport and rushed to Yan' an without stopping. I basically drove on the Baotou-Maoming Expressway (G65) all the way. From Xi'an to Yan' an, did I feel like I was climbing the entire journey because I was going to the Loess Plateau? It took nearly four hours to arrive in Yan 'an. The accommodation is in Zaoyuan, where the Central Committee of the Communist Party of China was located. It is only a few minutes 'walk from the Zaoyuan Memorial Site. It turns out that Mao Zedong and the others did not live in Yan' an County at the beginning (they live from the county seat-now the city center-It is still nearly 30 minutes away by car).

According to the weather forecast, the next day would be sunny, so I decided to go to the Ganquan Grand Canyon. From Yan 'an to Ganquan Grand Canyon, take the Baotou Expressway and then get off to the county road Ganzhi Line (Ganquan County to Zhidan County). It took nearly 40 minutes to reach the destination. The road conditions along the way were good, and the road was paved all the way. Although there was only one lane, fortunately, there were not many cars and the speed could still be kept fast.

The notice at the ticket office stated that only Huashugou is open to the public today, and the ticket is 70 yuan. It took nearly twenty minutes to get on the bus in the scenic area before arriving at Huashugou. It took less than a minute to walk to the mouth of the ditch from the drop-off point. I didn't think this attraction would be so beautiful in Mizoguchi. What I didn't expect was that there were actually many tourists.

Ganquan Grand Canyon

When I walked into the first bend and looked back at the road where I came from, I was surprised to find that under the almost vertical sunlight, the mountains on both sides of the ditch showed an almost transparent color. As the position changed, the mountains The colors also changed. Some mountains are covered with moss, which shows an amazing turquoise color in the sunlight.

In addition to the wonderful changes in color, the beautiful lines of the mountain also give people a strong visual impact.

Although it was noon and the scorching sun was high in the sky, it did not feel hot in the ditch. Instead, there was a hint of shade. The whole Birch Gulch is not long. It only took less than an hour to complete. The road in the ditch is very narrow. If there were more tourists, it would cause a big problem. Therefore, this attraction is not suitable for holidays. Go, because if there are many people, it is almost impossible to take photos unless you don't mind that there are all heads in the camera.

I have a good impression of the Ganquan Grand Canyon, but since the scenic spots have just begun to be developed, the infrastructure is still incomplete. Visiting Ganquan Canyon also makes up for missing out on visiting Page's Antelope Valley due to rainy weather in the United States.

After leaving the Ganquan Grand Canyon, I returned to Yan 'an. I originally planned to go to Jingbian Wave Valley, but I saw information on the Internet that the scenic area would be temporarily closed, so I could leave a thought to go again in the future.

On the third day, I decided to go to the Qiankun Bay Scenic Area in Yanchuan. The Yellow River takes five S shapes in the Yanchuan area, while in Qiankun Bay, the Yellow River almost turns a 340° bend here. From Yan 'an to Qiankun Bay, the first way to take is the Changyan Expressway, and then the provincial road. The road conditions are very good throughout the journey, but there is a particularly many corners on the provincial road. The whole road has completely changed my impression of the Loess Plateau in northern Shaanxi. Whether it is the mountains or canyons on both sides of the road, there is almost no yellow color. Instead, it is lush green. Even the mountains cut on both sides of the highway are reinforced with cement frames, and small saplings have also been planted in the frames. I believe that in a few years, these mountains will also be covered with green trees. Looking out, the green is endless. This is not the Loess Plateau in northern Shaanxi, but the scenery is similar to the scenery in the south.

The Qiankun Bay Scenic Area is actually a collection of seven or eight scenic spots. The distance between the scenic spots is not short. Fortunately, you can drive to each scenic spot by buying a ticket. You can also take the transportation vehicles of the scenic spot without driving. The road signs between the scenic spots are also relatively clear, and each scenic spot has good parking lots, showing that the Qiankun Bay Scenic Area is a very mature tourist spot.

The farthest point in the scenic area first is Qiankun Bay. The scorching sun is high, but the air permeability is very poor, and the photo effect is very poor. In addition, there are very few shade places in the scenic area, so after a quick look at Qingshui Bay, I headed home. Qingshui Bay was still a pass site, namely Qingshui Pass, during the Qing Dynasty, so relevant walls, sentry towers and other defensive facilities were built here. There was also a Yellow River ferry here, and the other side of the river was the boundary of Shanxi. At the ferry terminal, there is also Qingshui Ancient Town, which has Qingshui Yamen and other buildings.

After returning to Yan 'an, we drove to the city in the evening and saw the symbol of Yan' an-the pagoda. In fact, Yan 'an is still a city with a great historical thickness, and Fan Zhongyan still left his calligraphy here. The current urban area of Yan 'an is also very lively, one of the signs is traffic congestion. There are many shopping malls in the central commercial area, displaying colorful and fashionable products. Like other cities, square dancing will definitely appear in various city squares, which can be regarded as a city-standard scenery. Of course, urban life in Yan 'an must have its own characteristics. We also heard a middle-aged man in the square in front of a 4D movie theater in Zaoyuan. The man, wrapped in a white towel on his head-a traditional costume for men in northern Shaanxi, is performing the Qin Opera. The voice is loud, powerful, and revolving tactfully, and occasionally it feels very charming.

Yan 'an

I was going back to Xi'an. On the way back, I decided to visit Hukou Waterfall. I walked a short section of Yanxi Expressway, then walked on Yanhu Road for nearly two and a half hours, and then took Yanhuang Highway. The road conditions were still very good. When you get off the highway, you will first pass through Nanniwan, which was the place where the 359th Brigade and Tun Army of the Eighth Route Army reclaimed land. At that time, it was already known as Jiangnan in northern Shaanxi, but now it seems to be a good place.

There should be two service points in the Hukou Waterfall Scenic Area, the North Gate and the South Gate. We arrived at the North Gate, and the car has parked a lot. The scenic area is on the side of the Yellow River Highway. You can see some of it roughly, but you can't see it all. On the road, I took a few photos and decided not to enter the scenic area. I continued to rush back to Xi'an. There is still a long way to go through the Beijing-Kunming Expressway.

Xi'an has been here, but the Qinling Mountains next to Xi'an have long heard of its name but have never met them. Therefore, I specially reserved a day during this trip to northern Shaanxi to see the Qinling Mountains.

Fortunately, the weather helped on this day. Although it was sometimes cloudy and sometimes cloudy, it did not rain as forecast, so I drove towards the watershed. The journey from downtown Xi'an to the foot of the Qinling Mountains is very short, about twenty minutes. There is a Kowloon Waterfall Scenic Area shortly after entering the mountain. We will visit it when we return to the city. As we climbed the mountain, we found that there were layers of forest on both sides of the valley. Occasionally, a few leaves began to change color. They were mainly bright yellow, mixed with a few red patches. It was still summer. If it spread out after mid-autumn, a colorful forest would be a pleasant enjoyment. Farmhouses always appear on the roadside. You can imagine how lively the Qinling Mountains should be during the peak tourist season. However, we don't like the noise and still enjoy the current tranquility. A stream along the roadside always reluctantly declares its existence to us in various postures. Fortunately, with its company, I took a few better photos along the way.

Qinling

The further we drove to the top of the mountain, the heavier the clouds above our heads became. Finally, it began to rain. By this time, we had reached the top of the Qinling Mountains. The top was filled with fog, the cold wind soaked the bones, and the drizzle was slanting. I quickly took a few photos. After all, I couldn't resist the natural cold air and headed down the mountain. No wonder the Qinling Mountains are a summer resort for Xi'an people.

The Qinling Mountains are the dividing line between the north and south of China's geography, and the watershed is a symbol. The north is the Yellow River system, which belongs to the northern region, and the south is the Yangtze River system, which belongs to the southern region. Moreover, the watershed is the highest point of the Qinling Mountains.

Arriving at the Jiulong Waterfall Scenic Area again, I bought a ticket and thought that I would come back if I was tired. However, the scenic area is of a natural design. The roads are narrow, and the road stones are made of natural stones according to the shape and trend. The feet are tight. Sometimes we flash through the stone gaps sideways, and sometimes we wave away mosquitoes. We didn't actually walk too far in the humid air of the scenic area. We barely reached a pool. We were already sweating and empty, and we were no longer in the mood to continue going up. Back at the entrance of the scenic area, a staff member asked us which pool we had reached, and replied, one pool. The uncle was not surprised at all. He estimated that many people who came here belonged to our group.

After this, this trip to northern Shaanxi has ended, and the impression is really beyond our expectations. I believe that in a few years, the style of northern Shaanxi will become more attractive.
