Foreword: Xi'an is a city that I have been longing for a long time. As a pasta lover, eating is definitely indispensable. However, there is another factor that leads to my visit, which is that it has accumulated thousands of years of rich and long history and culture. I want to take the little prince to be influenced, to feel the ancient capital city wall that has gone through several dynasties, and to touch the green bricks and tiles...
Timing: Ask me what kind of people in the world I envy, people who have time, money and energy. Ordinary people like us are people who only have legal leave and no money. The only thing left may be a little bit of energy lost, haha. In a popular tourist city like Xi'an, legal holidays are always crowded with people, and the Terracotta Warriors Museum is always a crowded scene for two hours and five minutes. So I have no money or energy on official holidays, so I just lie and sleep at home. What is happy is that this year's CIIE opened in Shanghai as scheduled. When the official notice of the CIIE's suspension of leave (three-day suspension of state-owned enterprises, government agencies, and schools from 11.3 to 5) came out, I was on a trip to Xi'an as soon as possible. Hahaha, the off-peak trip can finally be realized!
Fellow: The time is right, but I have to consider the second condition, character... After confirming that the itinerary of the little prince and Mr. Wang was feasible, I immediately started my specialty travel booking process.
Transportation: When I determined the conditions for travel, there were only a few days before the travel time. The air ticket at that time was a little expensive, so I checked the train ticket casually and found that there was a very suitable train. I could sleep in a sleeper at night. It arrived in the morning, so it didn't waste time and the price was cheap. The transportation for the return trip. Considering that the little prince would go to school the next day, Mr. Wang and I would have to go to work (The most important thing is that the little prince has to go to school, and he has a mid-term exam that week.) So I tried to save my effort and get to Shanghai as early as possible, so I booked the high-speed train back, which took a little more than 7 hours. It was past 9 p.m. in Shanghai. I can get half a good night's sleep when I get home, only half a night, haha. The calculated time was about the same as the time before and after the plane. The fare was of course cheaper than the plane, so I happily booked the round-trip transportation, and then booked accommodation.
Accommodation: Because this trip lasted only 3 days and 2 nights, which was very short, and in addition to off-peak travel, accommodation was easy to book and cheap. Through some travel guides I read before, I chose to stay in Yanta District because I wanted to see the music fountain of Dayan Pagoda and the night view of the Tang Dynasty Sleepless City, so I checked for accommodation in Yanta District within one kilometer of the music fountain on Ctrip. This time I chose B & Bs, because I had always heard that B & Bs were cheap, spacious, and cost-effective. So this time I also wanted to give it a try, so I compared several B & Bs and finally chose the B & B in Jinyu Garden Phase II on Xiying Road, which had a high evaluation. According to Ctrip, it is only about 700 meters away from the Big Wild Goose Pagoda and the Sleepless City. It is very close to the bus and subway stations, but after experiencing the walking distance from the Big Wild Goose Pagoda and the Sleepless City, it is not close, because I planned to slowly return to my accommodation after looking at the fountain and the Sleepless City at night, but walking at this distance is still a bit tiring. However, the transportation is okay. The bus stop is quite close, and the subway is a little farther, but no more than 1 kilometer. It is acceptable. The opposite side of the community is the Party School. There are several snack bars next to the Party School, which makes eating convenient. In addition, the room price at that time was 287 yuan for 2 nights, which was relatively high.
This time it is domestic and the time is short, so booking transportation and accommodation is basically done. I also have a rough blueprint in mind for the itinerary, because there are only a few attractions I want to visit. Huashan and Hukou Waterfalls are not going to this time for a short time, so I formulated the itinerary plan within an hour for every trip, and I will draw up an itinerary in advance, daily attractions arrangements, transportation routes between attractions and accommodation. I will write down information such as precautions for visiting scenic spots and send it to people with me so that I can understand the general process in advance).
Clothing: What to wear has always been a problem for me, because Xi'an belongs to the northwest and in my impression is a very cold place, but generally I bring as little things as I can when I go out. I checked the weather in Xi'an at that time. The weather during the trip was quite good. It was sunny, a few degrees colder than Shanghai, and the temperature difference between morning and evening was like 10 degrees. Mr. Wang wanted to bring a box, but I remembered the last time I went to Huangshan to buy thick clothes locally temporarily. In the end, I decided to bring a thick coat with me (in fact, I didn't wear it in the end and left it intact in the box). In addition, I had to buy accompanying gifts on the return journey, so I brought two suitcases and a backpack behind me. In addition to preparing a thick coat, you can only wear a long T and a thin coat every day, so you don't have to wear too much.
Other items: I brought a must-have stewed beaker for travel. Although I couldn't even eat Xi'an's delicacies, because the little prince had a cold while traveling, he wanted to have some porridge for him. In addition, there were a lot of retail goods, because I had to spend the night on the train, and I also brought the must-have instant noodles for the train. Finally, don't forget your ID card ~
Okay ~ We are officially starting our travel journey
Day1 November 2 Shanghai
Saturday, but due to the suspension of the CIIE, today is working and school day. Today, Zhengzheng Company went out for training, so I went straight to the train station after the end. Mr. Wang took a day off to bring the little prince to meet me. The little prince was on school day. After school, Mr. Wang and him packed their homework and packed their luggage and joined me. After meeting, the check-in began less than 10 minutes after queuing up to enter the station. The time was just right.(Although it was said that I could directly swipe my ID card to enter the station, I still changed to a paper ticket. In addition, the children had a special manual entrance.) After getting on the train and successfully finding the sleeper position, we found that we were also living with a family of three, and we were also visiting Xi'an at the wrong peak. It was even more fated that the other child (boy) was of the same level as the little prince, so there was a follow-up night. Continuous "Siamese babies" were like friends getting along with each other, doing homework together, watching iPads together, sleeping together, going to the toilet together, eating instant noodles together, jumping up and down together, hiding under the quilt at 4 a.m. and whispering in private... Even after getting off the train and parting, the two friends met again at the Terracotta Warriors Museum the next day. They asked them to take a group photo to commemorate them. The two also staged a so-called mollusc scene, squatting around but did not cooperate.
Day2 November 3 Xi'an Railway Station--Yanta B & B--City Wall--Huimin Street--Bell and Drum Tower---Big Wild Goose Pagoda--Tang Dynasty Never Sleepless City
At around 9 o'clock today, the train arrived at Xi'an Railway Station on time. After parting with our good friends, we followed the route checked in advance on the itinerary to go to the B & B community. In 30 minutes, we arrived at the B & B community, but before check-in time, we found a Lanzhou Ramen restaurant in a restaurant next to the nearby Party School and had lunch. The taste was good and the price was cheap. Because we have to go to Hui Street in the afternoon, we will eat simply at noon and save room to pack more delicious food.
It's time to check in after lunch. The B & B is in a community opposite the Xi'an Film Studio. Before checking in, the housekeeper of the B & B will call to ask for WeChat, and then WeChat will send a photo of the entrance of the community. The first time you enter the community is due to the flow of people. After checking in, the room will have a sensor key to the community gate, and you can open the door yourself. The door of the B & B room is an electronic password lock. The housekeeper will only send the password to the door a few minutes before check-in. You need to enter the password every time you enter the room. You can also inquire about travel transportation and other issues on WeChat, but I do it myself. Every time the housekeeper asks me what help I need, I don't ask. In addition, I also need to pay a deposit of 200 yuan and ID card to take a photo. Everything else is basically nothing. I also think this kind of B & B rental method is quite great. We never met with the landlord, but all check-in procedures were quick and labor costs were minimized. Let's talk about the room again. I don't have high hopes for a room for less than 150 yuan, but I was a little surprised when I saw the real scene, which exceeded expectations. Although the room facilities are simple, they have everything they should have. The most important thing is spacious and clean, a short stay like ours is enough. The only bad thing is the elevator on the floor that should be installed. The elevator entrance on the first floor is under renovation, which is very messy and noisy. The floor is relatively high and there are many people entering and leaving. However, an elevator was opened at that time and the elevator was very small, so it took a long time to go up and down the stairs. The elevator was very dirty. This experience was not good, but everything else was quite good.
After a simple tidying up and resting, we set off lightly. In order from near to far, the first stop was the simple city wall. Later on, I would talk less and show more pictures to lead everyone to appreciate the beautiful scenery and delicious food of Xi'an ~
ps: There were music fountains in the Big Wild Goose Pagoda on today's itinerary, but when we rushed there, we were told that the fountains were "tired" due to the continuous "business" of National Day, and they were under maintenance during this period. What a pity, the music fountains were one of the best check-in points on my trip, but it didn't materialize. I really broke my heart at that time... In addition, I would like to commend Xi'an's subway for being very convenient and cheap. It only costs 2 yuan to change it, which is cheaper than taking a bus. Also, you can take it by adding a subway to WeChat and scanning the bus card directly. It is very convenient. Shanghai's subway has to be launched into a Metropolitan APP alone, so I prefer Xi'an's transportation for this.
Okay ~ Please collect the pictures now ~
The first day ended below the new high walking record of 25000 steps. It seemed that the highest record set in Huangshan last time had not been broken. The same tiredness made sense. That day, the little prince had not recovered from his cough, but he unknowingly gave him milk. In addition, he was very tired during the day. He couldn't stop coughing and vomited until midnight. He was really a poor child, but he was also very strong and played as usual the next day. Older children are still good.
Day3 11-4 Terracotta Warriors
Today, our main attraction is the Terracotta Warriors Museum, which is also a must-check attraction when visiting Xi'an. Considering the little prince's physical condition, we gave up the regular route of the Terracotta Warriors-Huaqing Chi. I don't think the actual viewing value of Huaqing Chi attractions is very high. For children, there are only a few ponds, so we can go directly to the Terracotta Warriors. Xi'an Railway Station has a special tourist line directly to the Terracotta Warriors. It used to be Tour 5. When we went there, we said that Tour 5 had moved to the textile factory early (I don't know where the textile factory is, anyway I don't care). Now there are two special lines from Xi'an Railway Station to the Terracotta Warriors, 915 and???? I forgot the other one, but don't worry. Just ask the staff when I get to the train station. The car is parked under the city wall outside the station. It is about 100 meters away. The 915 is green and the other is blue. We can go to the Terracotta Warriors. We took the 915. After getting on the train, we could buy a ticket for 7 yuan/person. Children could buy half a ticket, but it depends on the full occupancy rate of the car at that time. When we went there, the little prince received all tickets. When we came back, the ticket was free first. When we came back, we had a half ticket. When there were too many people behind us, we had to make up for half a ticket. After arriving at the Terracotta Warriors Station, get off the bus and it is across the road. Then you have to walk a long way to really reach the entrance of the museum.
Ps: 1. There is a pit in the walking route to the gate of the Terracotta Warriors. The official statue of the Terracotta Warriors is surrounded by an old man. Unsuspecting people come forward to take photos. After taking photos, the old man immediately jumps out and charges 2 yuan, so remind everyone not to fall into the pit, we will fall into it.
2. It would be best to hire a guide. At that time, we wanted to hire a guide, but there were very few individual guests that day. They had to group 10 groups. We waited for a long time but couldn't form a group. Finally, we couldn't wait and gave up. Fortunately, there were really not many people on the day. We listened to the explanations of several guide guides and pieced together, and we understood the general situation. Otherwise, we would really go in to see a pile of stones, so it would be best for you to invite a guide, so that you can have a deeper understanding of the story behind the terracotta warriors and loess.
It was already 2 or 3 o'clock when the Terracotta Warriors came back. It was the right thing to arrange a scenic spot. We had time in the afternoon to arrange the little prince's homework. After returning to Shanghai, the mid-term exam would be immediately. We couldn't relax after playing and studying. Although we didn't make up classes and stay up late to review like other parents, we had to complete the homework we needed to do, so we did our homework in the afternoon, and then went out to find delicious food and stroll around the area...
Day4 11-5 Shaanxi History Museum
Today is the last day. The trip was easy and a little reluctant. I made a reservation for free tickets on the Shaanxi History Museum's Weixin Official Accounts a week in advance (if you want to visit, you must make an appointment. Use your ID card with the reservation information to go to the on-site window to exchange tickets or buy tickets). Because the B & B was within walking distance from the museum, we casually bought steamed buns on the roadside and ate while walking. It was very comfortable. There were not many people who changed tickets after arriving. We changed tickets leisurely and leisurely, and then organized a group to invite tour guides., always enjoying the comfort of having few people on the wrong peak.
ps: 1. Book tickets on Weixin Official Accounts one week in advance, and the museum will be closed on Monday.
2. It's necessary to hire a guide, otherwise you won't understand it. Ordinary museums cost 100 yuan/group, and generally a group of 10 people. It's very cheap to share it equally. Treasures museums are a little more expensive and are all cost-effective.
After the last stop, we went back to the B & B to pack up and prepare to check out. We went back to Shanghai.~ We haven't had enough fun, and we'll see you next time ~~
