The idea of climbing Huashan at night has a long history, and I did a lot of homework in advance for this. I finally decided to set off from Chengdu one weekend, go straight to the north of Huashan by high-speed rail, and go on a long night to watch a sunrise.
You don't need to bring too much things to climb Huashan, and it's more convenient to travel lightly.
Clothing: We went there at the end of June, wearing quick-drying clothes, and then we brought a windproof coat. The pants were ordinary sweatpants. During the mountain climbing, the coat was basically not used. We only relied on the windproof coat to keep out the cold when the sunrise was on the top of the mountain.
Supplements: You can bring some Snickers bars or compressed biscuits. You don't need to bring too much food. It's all on the mountain, but everything is manually picked up up the mountain. Prices will gradually increase as the height rises. For example, mineral water is 10 yuan for 3 bottles at the foot of the mountain, 10 yuan for 2 bottles at the middle section, and 10 yuan for 1 bottle at the top of the mountain. Don't feel sorry for this little money. If you are weak in the later period, carrying an extra bottle of water will make you feel much tired.
Others: ID card, cash (only cash will be charged for the Yaozi Rolls and the Sky Plank Road), charging treasure + data cable. You can not wear headlights, there are basically lights along the road, and then you must wear gloves!!!
After all, they were sedentary office workers and worried about their lack of physical strength, so they finally chose to walk from Yuquanyuan along the ancient Huashan Road to Beifeng, and then to Dongfeng to watch the sunrise. After sunrise, visit Nanfeng and Xifeng, and go down the mountain from the Xifeng cableway.
At present, the night climbing route in Huashan is very mature, and there are also lights on the road, making it very safe.
It takes about 5 to 6 hours to reach Dongfeng from Yuquanyuan (walk slowly for 7 to 8 hours). All the way from Huashan Gate to Shaluoping are basically steeply sloping trails. There are many shops along the way, so you can rest at any time. It takes about an hour to reach it. Then you have to climb the steps from the back to the North Peak. At this time, you need to prepare gloves and use them to pull chains or climb stairs. This is the most useful thing, you must prepare it! haha. PS: Be sure to reverse the time to enter the mountain based on the sunrise time!!! Because waiting on the mountain is really cold, tiring and painful, try not to wait on it. At that time, we were worried about our poor physical strength, so we went into the mountains around ten o'clock... As a result, because of this, he was frozen in the mountains for more than two hours. In fact, the physique of young people is not particularly poor. Six hours is enough to travel to the Dongfeng Suntai, and the number of people with good physical strength can be appropriately reduced.
After sunrise, the rest of the time will be over the kites one by one, the sky plank road, the south peak and the west peak one by one, and then down the mountain from the west peak cableway. The journey for the day will be over.
This time we went to Huashan North, we chose the high-speed train at around 3 p.m. on Friday. We traveled from Chengdu East to Huashan North. After arriving in Huayin City, we ate a bowl of noodles near the high-speed train station. The price and taste were good. Then the three of us spent 20 yuan to take a taxi to Yuquan Courtyard (night climbing can only enter through Yuquan Courtyard, and there is no need to go to the tourist center.)
After going down the mountain from the Xifeng cableway on Saturday, I had dinner and took the high-speed train back to Chengdu, so there was no accommodation involved at all. I went home on Sunday and was paralyzed at home for the whole day.
Overall, climbing Huashan is not as difficult as imagined, but if you have the opportunity, I still recommend climbing Huashan once during the day. After all, you can't feel the dangers of Huashan at night.
