1. Departure (sunny September 7, 2019):
(1) Xi'an North Railway Station (High-speed Railway Station) -Huashan North Railway Station (High-speed Railway Station);
(2) Huayin Road 1 (free) -Huashan Tourist Center;
(3) Scenic spot direct train (free) -Yuquan Yuan (starting point for hiking).
3. Walking:
(1) Yuquanyuan (foot of the mountain) -North Peak-Jinsuoguan (important node) -East Peak-South Peak-West Peak.
2. Return journey:
(1) Xifeng Cableway Upper Station (140 yuan) -Xifeng Cableway Lower Station;
(2) Xifeng Cableway Exit Bus (40 yuan) -Huashan Tourist Center;
(3) Taxi (15 yuan)-Huashan North Railway Station (High-speed Railway Station);
(4) Huashan North Railway Station (High-speed Railway Station) -Xi'an North Railway Station (High-speed Railway Station).
1. There are many travel methods to choose from in Xi'an City. The bus takes about 2 hours to arrive. I chose the high-speed rail.
There are many high-speed trains that depart from Xi'an and stop at Huashan. I chose the high-speed train D6840. It is a special train from Xi'an to Huashan. There is no stop in between. It is no slower than the high-speed train. Moreover, the price is 34.5 yuan (second-class). The high-speed train costs 54.5 yuan (second-class).
2. There are many taxis at the exit of Huashan North Railway Station (High-speed Railway Station), but I recommend taking the bus Huayin No. 1. On the left side of the exit is the bus parking lot. Huayin No. 1 and No. 2 are both green minibuses from the high-speed railway station to the Visitor Center at the foot of Huashan. Both buses are free, but No. 2 will detour, and No. 1 is a straight road. There are a lot of people queuing. Be mentally prepared.
3. When you arrive at the visitor center, you can choose to go to the ticket office to buy paper scenic spot tickets for 160 yuan. If you don't have a hobby of collecting tickets, you can scan the code and buy tickets in the scenic spot, and support WeChat and Alipay.
There are 3 routes to choose from the Visitor Center to Huashan:
(1) Yuquanyuan climbs to the top on foot. Take the scenic spot through train from No. 1 Parking Lot of the Visitor Center to reach the entrance of Yuquan Courtyard for free, which is also the starting point for night climbing.
(2) The west cable car goes to Xifeng. The cable car line on the west line is newer and longer, and the cost is more expensive. The one-way cable car is 140 yuan and the bus is 40 yuan (the journey from the tourist center to the Xifeng cableway station is longer).
(3) The Eastern Cable Car goes to the North Peak (yes, it is the North Peak, not the East Peak). The western cable car line is older and shorter, and the cost is average. The one-way cable car is 80 yuan and the bus is 20 yuan (from the tourist center to the Beifeng cableway station).
4. We walked all the way up the mountain from Yuquanyuan. Pass through Yuquan Courtyard, pass the Wulong Bridge, and the check-in office is the place where you reach the companion sculpture.
The following are photos taken along the way before reaching the summit.
5. The route map from Beifeng (Baiyunfeng) after the summit to Jinsuoguan.
The first is taking photos along the way.
6. Starting from Jinsuoguan, you can walk at your disposal in the middle peak, east peak, south peak and west peak. There are many roads and road signs on the top of the mountain. The following picture is the route we walked.
7. It was the first time I was riding such a high cableway. I was still a little scared at first, especially when I passed the middle tower. Fortunately, I had a little friend (a handsome guy who often went into the mirror, ps: He is currently single, so he can tease ~ haha) to cheer up. Finally, I attached a large archway and a colorful cloud photo at the entrance of Xifeng (my little friend said it was painted with a brush, and it also had a bend) to end the day of pleasant play. Thanks to Xiao Weiwei ~
8. Postscript
(1) The guide I checked before departure said that the temperature difference between the top and the foot of the mountain is 5 - 10°. Personally, I don't think it is much worse. It may be due to the season. Huayin City is 347 meters above sea level. For every 1000 meters it rises, the temperature drops by 1°. The altitude of the top of Beifeng is only 1614 meters, which is only 1° lower at most. Moreover, he keeps walking, and his body is always in a hot state. Regarding the strong wind on the top of the mountain, I didn't encounter it at the top of the mountain this time, although skin clothes for sun, wind and rain protection have been prepared.
(2) The aspects of clothes mentioned in the guide are very consistent with the facts. Be sure to wear quick-drying clothes in summer and avoid cotton clothes. The quick-drying clothes I wore this time were very refreshing throughout the process, without feeling close to the body, and they would dry quickly. The little friend was wearing knitted short sleeves. Not long after he left, the whole clothes were soaked through. It was difficult to dry, and it stayed on his body. Finally, he was asked to change it and hung the wet one on his bag to dry until he went down the mountain. It wasn't completely dry.
(3) Gloves are still very necessary, especially since the "Qianchi Building" section of the road is almost vertical. We must use the iron chains on both sides of the road. There are also other places that need to use them. We bought gloves at the Ministores at the exit of the train station. There were white gloves for 2 yuan and those with color and rubber particles for 5 yuan. At first, I didn't recognize the goods and thought that white gloves were cheap, so I bought them with color. When I used it, I found that the colored smell was very strong, especially since I often had to push my eyes and had to hold my breath to avoid smelling it before pushing it once.
(4) Regarding supplies, my friends and I have 1.5L of water per person, the kind with handles in Nongfu Spring. At the beginning of entering the mountain, 550ml mineral water sold for 3 bottles for 10 yuan. As the height and height became 2 bottles for 10 yuan, the price was directly sold for 11 yuan per bottle at the top of the mountain. Many drinks on the top of the mountain, such as jasmine green tea, are sold for 14 yuan a bottle. It is still necessary to bring more water before setting off. In terms of food, I brought 4 apples, 2 yellow peaches, 2 boxes of winter dates, 4 breads, 2 mooncakes, and a few snacks; my little friend brought 2 boxes of Haoliyou Pies, and they were basically eaten by the time we went down the mountain. We can really eat it, haha ~
