As we all know, Xi'an has a long history and culture, with many scenic spots and historic sites. Everyone has long heard about iconic attractions such as Terracotta Warriors and Ancient City Walls. Today, I will recommend a niche attraction to everyone-Xi'an Chanba National Wetland Park, which is a national AAAA tourist attraction. It is located at the intersection of the Bahe River and the Weihe River.

Many people may be curious. Isn't a wetland park just an ordinary park with water and grass? What can I recommend? There is a passage in the Book of Songs,"The reeds are green, and the white dew is frost." Among them, the "reeds" refer to the current wetlands. It is also known as the "lung of the earth" and can turn dirty muddy water into streams. It is also a natural reservoir that can store large amounts of water in plants and moist soil. Xi'an Chanba National Wetland Park is of great significance to maintaining the ecological balance of Xi'an City and is an indispensable part.

Chanba Wetland Park's lush environment attracts swarms of migratory birds to spend the winter every year. This wetland is one of the three major migratory bird migration routes in the country. Not only is it beautiful, but it also houses a variety of wild waterbirds. According to incomplete statistics, there are about 150 species of animals from 50 families!

From October to March of the following year, more than 30 kinds of birds migrate to Chanba Wetland Park for the winter. Among them, there are rare birds such as kuang, Chinese climbing finch, and white qin heron.

Among them, the most attractive thing is the Chinese climbing bird, which is also known as the "Giant Panda among Birds". Its rarity can be seen. Chanba Wetland Park's lush reed swamps and clean water environment attract Chinese climbers to migrate here! It should be noted that this bird is distributed in northeastern China and eastern Russia, and often migrates to North Korea and Japan. It was first discovered in Chanba Wetland Park in January 2016! It has become a new record of birds in Shaanxi Province.

In order to allow everyone to have a better bird-watching experience, there is a bird watching tower in the park. It has nine floors in total, is 24 meters high, and has a unique shape. When you stand at the top of the tower, you can see the birds flying around the tower in time of season, and you can also overlook the panoramic view of the park. It is beautiful!

In addition, Zishui Pavilion and Jianjia South Lake are also frequent bird watching spots. There are abundant water and grass here and the lake water is clear. Migratory birds who come here for the winter often inhabit, hunt and play together here. If you are a bird enthusiast, you must not miss this place.

Chanba Wetland Park is located at No. 1, Qiyuan 3rd Road, Chanba Ecological Zone, Xi'an City. If you want to visit, you can take buses in sections 315 and 316 in the city to the middle section of Hubin Road (south gate of the scenic area). The transportation is extremely convenient.

Originally, there was a charge for visiting the park. The full ticket in the peak season was 60 yuan and the half price was 30 yuan; the off-season ticket was 40 yuan. Many people felt that the price was not high. Chanba National Wetland Park will be officially open for free from January 1, 2019. Everyone can visit and play here when the weather is good.
