[The next day] Shaolin Temple, a term that makes people excited to hear, now appears so truly in front of us! Turning on the automatic explanation function of Gaode Map's scenic spots, we can listen to wherever we go in Shaolin Temple, which is very convenient; listening to the theme song of "Shaolin Temple" and seeing with our own eyes the pits where martial monks practice, I have a unique feeling in my heart. Erlitou Xiadu Ruins Museum, not far from Shaolin Temple, is our second stop today. Archaeological discoveries (such as Yin Ruins) have all along confirmed the existence of Shang Dynasty history, but the authenticity of the Xia Dynasty has always been in doubt. The archaeological discovery in Erlitou is a "major breakthrough" in the study of Xia and Shang dynasties. Of course, I think that the lack of writing, the most convincing evidence, is still a big pity. The Erlitou Museum is magnificent and solemn, and information technology is widely used. It is worth learning and observing by history enthusiasts. Near the hotel we stayed at today is the famous Luoyang Baima Temple, the first government-run temple in Chinese history and "China's No. 1 Ancient Temple". It has a lot of background!
[Day 3] Under the high sun, we visited the Longmen Grottoes in Luoyang, Henan. The service facilities of the 5A-level scenic spot are guaranteed. We can even park our cars in the cool underground parking lot. As the most representative of the Longmen Grottoes, the Lusena Buddha is a must-visit attraction. It is said that it was carved based on Wu Zetian's appearance. During the tour, we can see from time to time that some Buddha statues in the grottoes are incomplete. I think the reason may be the movement to eliminate Buddha that has occurred many times in history, or it may be due to natural weathering, but more reasons should be the recent 200 years of plunder by Western powers. Some precious Buddha heads are still in museums in European and American countries. It is regrettable... After leaving the Longmen Grottoes, we continued to drive west and the next stop is Xiyue Huashan!
[Day 4] Huashan Mountain from the West Mountain is majestic and magnificent! With the cableways of Xifeng and Beifeng, the natural dangers of Huashan are no longer out of reach. Today, we went up the mountain from the West Peak and down the mountain from the North Peak, especially experiencing the thrilling Long Sky Plank Road! Although I took more than 25000 steps in one day and was exhausted when I returned to the hotel, I knew in my heart that Huashan was a worthwhile trip!
[Day 5] In the morning, we set out from the foot of Huashan Mountain and drove a hundred kilometers to the Qin Shihuang Terracotta Warriors Museum in Lintong, Xi'an. Only by coming to the scene can you truly feel the pulse of Chinese civilization and feel the profoundness of Chinese history! The terracotta warriors we see are just the tip of the iceberg of the underground treasures of the Qin Shihuang Mausoleum. Archaeological excavations there are still in progress, and I believe there will be more wonderful discoveries in the future! Our second stop was Huaqing Palace at the foot of Mount Li, less than 10 kilometers away from the Qin Mausoleum. In addition to some newly built antique buildings, the highlights of Huaqing Palace should be Huaqing Pool and Wujian Hall. The former is a historical relic of the imperial bath of the Tang Dynasty, and of course the love story of Emperor Li Longji and Yang Yuhuan of the Tang Dynasty; the latter is the place where the "Xi'an Incident" took place, and the bullet holes on the wall are clearly visible, as if telling us that changed the historical turning point in the process of China's War of Resistance. Hangzhou is deep in water, Xi'an is hot! After a few days of traveling, my neck was already tanned. But we have finally arrived in Xi'an!! The night in Xi'an cannot get dark after 20 o'clock. At the entrance of the hotel is the Shuyuan Gate, and not far away are the Xi'an City Wall, Bell and Drum Tower and Hui Street. A stroll nearby is a very Xi'an experience.
[Day 6] Today, we were lurking in the hotel during the day because we were afraid of the poisonous sun in Xi'an; moreover, we really needed time to rest after several consecutive days of play. In the evening, we set off again. The first stop is Yongxing Square near the Zhongshanmen of Xi'an's East City Wall. Here, Shaanxi cuisine is almost wiped out. Compared with Hui Street, Yongxing Square is a bit more authentic. No wonder local people want to satisfy their cravings and would rather come to Yongxing Square. We had dinner at Yongxingfang and then climbed the city wall of Xi'an. The city wall at night, equipped with lights, looks even more majestic at a glance. This is the best-preserved and largest ancient city wall in the world. The ups and downs of Xi'an City Wall are a vicissitudes of history full of legends. When you come to Xi'an, how can you not climb the Xi'an City Wall?
[Day 7] Today, we will participate in a one-day trip to Xi'an. The destinations are Maoling, Qianling and Famen Temple. This is a route we have been longing for a long time, because there are too many stories there for a family who loves studying history. In the so-called "Emperor Qin and Emperor Wu of the Han Dynasty", the Mausoleum of Qin Shi Huang is at the foot of Mount Li, while the mausoleum of Emperor Wu of the Han Dynasty is Maoling. The current development has just begun, but there have been national treasure discoveries such as "Horse Tading Xiongnu". Qianling is the tomb where the couple emperors Wu Zetian and Li Zhi of Tang Gaozong were buried together. We finally saw the famous wordless stele. The reason why Wu Zetian was the only female emperor in Chinese history was that her tenacity, persistence, wisdom and courage were admirable. The archaeological results of the underground palace of Famen Temple have shocked the world, especially the discovery of the real body of Buddha's finger bones and bones, which shows the lofty position of Famen Temple in the Buddhist world; at the same time, the 2499 Tang Dynasty cultural relics discovered show a fascinating prosperous age of the Tang Dynasty. Say goodbye to the high temperatures for many days. Xi'an is raining heavily today. We are already wet after the day's trip. However, if we have a full harvest, why be we afraid of wind and rain?
[Day 8] To visit the Shaanxi History Museum, we must make an appointment at least 2 days in advance. We set the alarm clock at 4 a.m. the day before yesterday before we successfully snatched the ticket. The cultural relics on display at the Shaanxi Museum of History are only a drop in the bucket in its entire collection, but they are enough to look down on the world. Most of the exhibits at Shaanxi Expo are originals, which shows that it has a deep family background. We stopped by to see Cien Temple and Big Wild Goose Pagoda. They are landmark buildings in Xi'an and are famous for Master Xuanzang of the Tang Dynasty. The Mausoleum of the Yellow Emperor is a place we have always longed for, because the Yellow Emperor is the common ancestor of our Chinese nation! In the parking lot, cars from all over the country can be seen everywhere, which shows the weight of the Huangdi Mausoleum in the hearts of Chinese people. The word "Xuanyuan" is in the daughter's name (Zhang Lexuan and Zhang Leyuan). The two of them took a group photo in front of Xuanyuan Temple in the Huangdi Mausoleum today, which is particularly commemorative. In the evening, we arrived safely in Yan 'an, the holy land of the Chinese revolution.
[Day 9] Yan 'an, the cradle and holy land of the Chinese revolution. Today, we visited Baota Mountain, Yan 'an Revolutionary Memorial Hall, Yangjialing Revolutionary Site and Zaoyuan in turn. What touched me most was the power of faith! Long live Chairman Mao!
[Tenth Day] The Hukou Waterfall of the Yellow River is more shocking than imagined. The thunderous force is unstoppable! The hotel is in the scenic area. When we push the door open, we can see the Hukou Waterfall in full view. Accompanied by the roar of the water, we can fall asleep soundly. Also, the local Yellow River carp are delicious! After leaving Hukou Waterfall, we ended our trip and returned to Hangzhou.
