Xishuangbanna is located on the southwest border of the motherland. Its unique geographical culture makes it a unique tourist destination in China. In addition to the water-splashing festival in special seasons, the three-dimensional Xishuangbanna should be observed, tasted and appreciated from three dimensions: Buddha Kingdom, Elephant Kingdom, and Tropical Plant Kingdom.
1. Xishuangbanna, the Buddhist State
Xishuangbanna is connected to Myanmar by mountains and rivers. The Dai people who have been living here for generations and the main ethnic groups in Thailand and Myanmar all believe in Hinayana Buddhism, a branch of Buddhism. Therefore, compared with China's main culture, Xishuangbanna's culture presents certain exotic cultural characteristics. Temples dedicated to Buddha are everywhere here. Because of the residents 'infinite piety for Buddha, the temples here are the most beautiful buildings. Cleanliness, silence and beauty are the characteristics of the temples. The Buddha statues in the temples are also extremely dignified, prudent and beautiful. There is a saying, like Thailand and Myanmar, that when you have money, you must first build a temple and accumulate virtue and do good.
The Xishuangbanna Dai Garden gives people the first and deepest impression, as if they had come to the Buddhist Kingdom.
Mengle Dafo Temple will give you a deeper understanding of respecting Buddha. Mengle Buddha Temple is located on the outskirts of Jinghong City, the capital of Xishuangbanna Dai Autonomous Prefecture, Yunnan Province. It was restored and rebuilt on the original site of the royal temple "Jingpiao Buddhist Temple" of the ancient Dai Dynasty."Jingpiao Buddhist Temple" was built by a Dai king named Bolong in Dai history to commemorate the death of Princess Nansha Weibian. It was built in the Ming Dynasty and is one of the landmark buildings that symbolize the Twelve Banna Buddhism spread in the south, and is also an important place for Buddhist activities.
Overlooking Jinghong City from the square in front of the Wanfo Pagoda, you can enjoy the beautiful tropical scenery.
The scenic spot focuses on the life of Buddha Sakyamuni and Buddhist temple activities, which are cleverly integrated into the landscape and architectural groups, fully demonstrating the historical and traditional cultural color of southern Buddhism. When you are in it, you will feel infected and infiltrated by the atmosphere, and you will have the urge to turn to Buddha.
2. Xishuangbanna, Xiangguo
Xishuangbanna Wild Elephant Valley is located on the Sancha River north of Mengyang Town, Jinghong City, Xishuangbanna Prefecture, Yunnan Province. Located in the south of Mengyang Nature Reserve, it is a national park and international eco-tourism scenic spot with the theme of animal protection and environmental protection. It is also the China Asian Elephant Ecological Reserve, Xishuangbanna National Nature Reserve, and the UNESCO Man and Biosphere Reserve. It is the center of exchanges and gatherings of wild Asian elephants.
In my country, the only place where wild elephants can be seen is Xishuangbanna. The Wild Elephant Valley is a place where you can witness wild elephants with your own eyes. If you don't come to the Wild Elephant Valley, you will definitely not see wild elephants. If you come to the Wild Elephant Valley, you probably won't see wild elephants. Wild elephants don't meet with humans. Whether you can see them depends on your luck. Watching wild elephants depends on luck, but watching domesticated elephant performances can be completely customized. For most people, the elephant show is also a visual feast.
3. Xishuangbanna, the Kingdom of Tropical Plants
The special underground location has created Xishuangbanna's special natural resources, and the tropical rainforest is its unique high-quality resource. To understand tropical rainforests and tropical plants, you must enter the tropical plant kingdom here--the Tropical Botanical Garden of the Chinese Academy of Sciences.
The Xishuangbanna Tropical Botanical Garden of the Chinese Academy of Sciences was established on January 1, 1959 under the leadership of the famous botanist Professor Cai Xitao. It is currently the largest botanical garden with the most preserved species in China and a demonstration site of a national civilized scenic tourist area. The Botanical Garden covers an area of 900 hectares and cultivates more than 6000 kinds of rare tropical plants in the world. Forgive me for being short of time, and also for my limited knowledge and ability, I can't popularize science for you. I can only show you a few species that are missing in my eyes.
