Entering the summer in banna,

It was like walking into a boundless picture.

The wind and rain there swept away the dust of time.

The mountains and rivers are beautiful in brocade, and the rivers hang in the clouds. The sun is shining brightly.

That was the most moving gesture in time. White clouds are like snow and romantic in the sky.

Xishuangbanna, Yunnan

Walking on this magical land of Yunnan, you can not only enjoy the beautiful scenery, magical forests, endless rivers, unique ethnic customs, and exotic customs. I have come to Xishuangbanna, which I have always dreamed of, and have come to this magical land that attracts countless people to aspire to.

5. Travel tips for Xishuangbanna

about traffic

local transportation

about dinner

about accommodations

about the seasons

1. Regarding transportation: Xishuangbanna is located at the southernmost tip of Yunnan Province. The most convenient way to get there is by plane. In the off-season, air tickets from Kunming to Xishuangbanna sometimes have surprisingly low discounts. Another economical way is to take a shuttle bus from Kunming Southern Passenger Station. There are many bus flights every day. The expressway from Kunming to Jinghong has been fully connected, and the whole journey takes about 8-9 hours.

3. About eating: Xishuangbanna cuisine: The snacks in Banna are sour, spicy and sweet that lingers on the taste buds of the tongue; they are Dai language that you don't understand at all, as if it carries an exotic flavor; it is this hot weather that ravages from April to September. The month is bold and unrestrained but sometimes gentle. Common Dai dishes include grilled fish with lemongrass, pineapple rice, fragrant bamboo rice, boiled chicken with sour bamboo shoots, etc. In the lively atmosphere of Jinghong Night Market, immerse yourself in the charming night and taste the unique local cuisine. Recommendations: pineapple purple rice, foie liver, boiled fish with sour bamboo shoots, pebble fish soup...

4. About accommodation: I stayed in Bodhi Pasa Courtyard, a mid-to-high-end hotel. Only 18 rooms were booked because they were converted from Dai tall buildings, most of which are wooden buildings. There are many finely designed little details inside. The inn with a Dai style is suitable for leisure and vacations. The entire building is made of wooden structure. Now it is forbidden to cut down trees. Building an inn is more expensive than a concrete house. The first floor is used for guests to rest. Many small plants are planted in the courtyard, and the room is antique.

[Midsummer time left me in Xishuangbanna.]

1. Walking into Dai Wang Imperial Garden and Manting Park has a history of more than 1300 years.

2. Mengle Dafo Temple is the largest southern Buddhist temple in China.

3. When I come to Xishuangbanna, I am embarrassed to say that I have been to Banna without having played a water-splashing festival.

4. Every time I watch the Lancang River and Mekong River Night Song and Dance Bonfire Gala, I am deeply shocked.

5. The Dai village is a place with a strong natural atmosphere. Many of them are old Dai style tall buildings, and the local atmosphere is natural and simple.

6. On the night of the Lancang River and Mekong River, the river lanterns were put on, and I sent your thoughts on it and came across the ocean to see you.

7. Jinghong Bodhi Pasha Courtyard is an inn with a Dai style, with antique rooms. You can hear all kinds of birds outside. What is it like to wake them up every day?

8. In Wild Elephant Valley, the main purpose is to see wild elephants with a try, because the probability of seeing them with your own eyes is very small, but what if you encounter them?

9. Gaozhuang, Xishuangbanna, is the place closest to literature and art, where you can play from morning to night.

10. About Madou: Xiaoqing, Madou, girls born in the 1990s are good at pottery and handicrafts, love life, pursue freedom and romance. Like reading. I feel that traveling can appreciate different scenery, meet different people and experience different lives.

There are no direct flights to Banna from most places across the country, so you transfer in Kunming. I had a lot of trouble but I was happy. It feels very hot when I get off the plane and arrive at Banna. I can completely wear it in summer, hot pants and a vest.

Friends who fly Xiamen Airlines can see the photos I took in Xishuangbanna last year and guess which attractions these are.

Banna life has officially begun. A bowl of wide ramen for breakfast has a taste. Generally, if you see oil in the morning, you can't eat it. There is also a steamed bun shop nearby, but Master Xu was waiting for me early, so he solved the breakfast problem simply and hastily based on the principle of proximity.

Manting Royal Garden was once the Royal Garden of Dai Kings. It has a history of more than 1300 years. It is the oldest park in Xishuangbanna. The Dai people are accustomed to calling it "Spring Huan", which means "Garden of Souls". It used to be the Royal Garden of Dai Kings in Xishuangbanna. It is said that when the Dai Princess came to visit, the beautiful scenery here attracted the soul of the Princess, hence the name.

The first thing that comes into view when entering the gate of the park is a bronze statue commemorating Premier Zhou Enlai wearing a Dai suit, holding a water bowl in his left hand and holding an olive branch in his right hand, participating in the splashing of water. On the left side of the bronze statue are two Bodhi trees planted by the Princess of the Kingdom of Thailand to symbolize China-Thailand friendship.

The park has also built the holy Manxi Dragon Bamboo Pagoda, Xishuangbanna Wabajie General Buddhist Temple, the exquisite Jingzhen Bajiao Pavilion simulation model, as well as the four-corner pavilion, six-corner pavilion and Dai Sala Pavilion. Next to the park is the Manting Dai Village, which together form a trinity of park, village and Buddhist temple.

The entire park is lush and surrounded by forests, and is full of Dai architectural styles like glazed tiles. The trees are wrapped around vines, and the vines are pure and straight on the lake. The lake reflects beautiful buildings. This place is no less than Beijing's Imperial Garden. And because it is located in a subtropical rainforest climate, it is surrounded by trees and flowers all year round.

You may think that in the Royal Royal Garden, which was once a sacred place for royal Buddha worship, there might not be many other activities other than praying for blessings and paying homage to Buddha. This is definitely one-sided. Part of traditional Dai culture is related to a very rare and lovely animal, that is, the Asian elephant. In the elephant garden, those well-trained elephants not only salute and bow, but even ride tricycles to turn hula hoops. For them, the elephant nose asking people to perform without any effort is a very rare intimate contact for tourists.

When listening to the praise of the elders in front of the release lake in the Imperial Garden, each of us held a sacred silver basin in our hands. The little goldfish that was about to be released was preparing to welcome its moment of freedom. In such a Buddha's world, every ritual or prayer that we are familiar with or unfamiliar is so holy and peaceful. This is the true feeling of every visitor who comes to Manting Park, which has a history of more than 1300 years and was once the Imperial Garden of Dai Kings.

After wandering around the Imperial Garden all afternoon, I found that there were many buildings inside. It felt very special to enjoy the scenery leisurely. Elephants inside perform parrots and birds. I didn't feel much, and I ended my ride in Master Xu's car to Bodhi Pasa Bieyuan. It was converted from tall buildings of many Dai buildings. It has local characteristics and the environment inside is very natural.

At night, I stayed in Bodhi Pasa Biyuan, a mid-to-high-end hotel.

Living here every morning, I listen to the chirping of birds. In the morning, the sun shines in through the wooden windows. This is how the day starts. There is no noise in Bodhi Pasa, only the wonderful sound of nature. At night, I go back to the front desk of the courtyard and make tea with friends on the first floor. Tea, reading and even chatting are a good way to relax, because the entire space design has the charm of Chinese cicadas. Let the body and mind relax and enjoy

I heard from local Master Xu that the Dafo Temple is a relatively distinctive building, so I need to buy tickets. After swimming for about 2 to 3 hours, the main focus is to see Buddha statues and buildings. When I arrived at the door, I saw this golden building.

When I entered, I saw a Buddha closing his eyes and quietly making a wish. Nothing was needed as long as I had a pious heart. This is very suitable for taking photos. You can laugh innocently, like a princess in a palace. Every smile is so real and touching against the resplendent backdrop.

The predecessor of Mengle Dafo Temple was the "Jingpiao Buddhist Temple" of the ancient Dai Dynasty. It was built by a Dai king named Bo Long to commemorate the deceased princess Nansha Weibian. It is reported that the "Jingpiao Buddhist Temple" was built in the Ming Dynasty. It is one of the twelve buildings that symbolizes southern Buddhism and an important place for Buddhist activities in Banna.

The gate pavilions next to or near the Buddhist temple are also unique. On one side of a double eaves herringbone roof, a roof is built at right angles and connected together to form a gate pavilion. There are only columns supported under the eaves and no walls, extending in all directions, allowing people to enter and exit. Although it is a duplicate building, due to its clever layout, it further shows the special architectural style of the Dai people.
