preface

Yunnan is the most attractive tourist province in the country, and Xishuangbanna is what I have always longed for. I once remembered Xishuangbanna as synonymous with Yunnan, but this time I finally got my wish. What is even happier is to travel to Xishuangbanna with her family. I am even more fortunate to have brought my baby here, allowing her baby to experience the colorful, magical and humanistic charm of Xishuangbanna here. Maybe she can't fully understand it, but there will definitely be a seed planted in her young memory.
In my memory, there will be traces of the Manting Royal Garden Palace, the Dai Garden will be a real Dai family, the Botanical Garden will have so many magical plants, and the shock of the Wangtianshu Scenic Area.

DAY2. Mantingyu Garden

The first stop in Xishuangbanna is Mantingyu Garden in Jinghong City. I think most tourists who come to Xishuangbanna will make this choice to experience the imprint of the royal family of the King of Thailand in Mantingyu Garden.

Manting Royal Garden is located at No. 35 Manting Road, the center of Jinghong City, where the Prefecture of Xishuangbanna is located (the triangle where the Lancang River and Liusha River meet). Its predecessor was Dai King Royal Garden, which has a history of more than 1300 years. It is an important carrier of Dai culture, history and religion. The scenic area covers an area of more than 400 acres, integrating Dai royal culture, Buddhist culture, and ethnic customs and culture. As soon as Xiao Longnu arrived at this place, she put on Dai clothes and transformed into a little girl of the Dai nationality who learned Dai language and etiquette, and said hello and blessings in Dai dialect.

The buildings in Mantingyu Garden not only show the unique elements of ethnic minorities, but also the grandeur of the life of Dai kings back then. Next to the memorial bronze statue of Premier Zhou's water-splashed memorial statue are two Bodhi trees planted by the Princess of the Dai Kingdom to symbolize friendship. Even the copper walls are carved with lifelike patterns, showing noble and luxurious. It is also amazing to pat the roof of the building. Every detail is full of religious culture. Even the eaves are made into the shape of a stupa, straight into the sky.

During fixed times every day in Mantingyu Garden, there will also be song and dance performances in the square. Ethnic minority costumes interpret ethnic minority dances, and the culture of the Dai family floats to the hearts of tourists with the singing.

The octagonal covered bridge simulates the shape of a real octagonal pavilion across the Fangsheng Lake and connects the east and west scenic spots of Mantingyu Garden. When viewed from a distance, it looks like a palace held among lotus leaves. It is very exquisite. In the hot summer, tourists can also enjoy the shade under the covered bridge, listen to the chirping of birds and enjoy lotus flowers. It is so comfortable! Walking further, Xiao Longnu was attracted by the white tower. The white tower consists of a mother tower and eight small towers around it. The towers are built on a circular base, just like a castle in a fairy tale. She simply asked Xiao Longnu to make a prayer gesture.

Then we came to the Statue of the Goddess of the Earth. The dragon head was facing forward and carved with a sky-blue moire totem. The goddess sat cross-legged on the base. The goddess at the top was graceful and graceful, all symbolizing noble dignity. Even if we couldn't remember that beautiful legend, the vividness of this Statue of the Goddess of the Earth is enough to attract people.

There are also various pavilions and pavilions in different shapes, but the appearance of the General Buddhist Temple still amazes our eyes. The incense mist on the sacrificial altar is ethereal, incense is constant, and there is also a lot of harvest in the merit box. There is also an endless stream of people doing good deeds and accumulating virtue.

Experience interaction with plant mosaic, Dai paper, and Dai pottery

In addition to viewing and appreciating here, there are many things you can experience in person, especially those suitable for parents and children, such as plant patchwork, Dai paper, Dai pottery and other experiential interactions.

The lush plants wrap around the Royal Elephant Cafe in the park, and have even climbed above the door. It exudes the vitality and tenacious vitality of tropical plants everywhere. It was noon, and Xiao Longnu and I also walked into this coffee shop to enjoy the cool. In addition to being cool and tidy in the cafe, the small ornaments and decoration styles in the house are very Buddhist and folk customs.

After ordering a glass of juice, Xiao Longnu and I started a meaningful plant jigsaw journey, which is unique to Xishuangbanna, a special parent-child experience activity. Xiao Longnu selected several plant leaves of different colors, held children's scissors and glue sticks, and spent a pleasant afternoon with the plants.

She didn't drink much juice, and Xiao Longnu devoted herself to the creation of plants. Finally, she used two large yellow leaves and a few small green leaves to make it into a butterfly shape, and then paired it with a few white and red flowers to complete her masterpiece. After that, we also took a group photo for this meaningful creation to record this wonderful parent-child time!

4. As she walked, she was attracted by a row of cloth hanging on the rope. When the breeze blew, they also floated lazily with the wind. Moire patterns of different colors were carved on them and held with small clips. Xiao Longnu looked at these interesting scenes and was fascinated for a while. It turns out that this is another interesting experience. Learning to use plants to make Dai paper is a veritable crystallization of the wisdom of our ancestors. It is really rare to be able to bring children to experience it this time.

I have to say that Xishuangbanna is a magical place. It is mysterious and colorful. There are so many plants that can be made into paper. Xiao Longnu also wanted to use plants to carve her own picture until she completed the "A picture of messy flowers gradually attracted the eyes". I was only willing to stop.
After finishing Dai paper, I turned around and had a new and interesting experience-Dai pottery.

According to documentary records, Dai pottery can be traced back to at least the Ming Dynasty in the 14th century, and slow wheel pottery has continued to this day. It is one of the traditional cultures of the Dai people and the carrier of Dai culture and art. When you come to Manting Imperial Garden, how can you not feel the joy of making pottery? Xiao Longnu put on an apron and began her pottery making journey.

The little dragon girl who made pottery did not forget to find a sense of the lens. She placed her hand on the slowly rotating ceramics and quietly felt the history gradually sliding past her fingertips. Her hands were dirty, but she was very excited. The ceramics that were soon formed were presented. This interesting experience must be a highlight in her life.

Xishuangbanna has a hot climate, so it will become cool and delicious when using ceramics to hold water. Making tea with ceramics will be particularly mellow and fragrant. Putting rice grains in ceramic jars can also prevent moisture and mildew. Not only that, ceramics are also widely used on the roofs and ridges of Buddhist temples, symbolizing people's worship and reverence for nature. When you come here, you can not only make your own ceramics, but also bring a few finished ceramics home for decoration.

There are not a few people in the Dai Pottery Museum to experience the making of ceramics for themselves. Some are concentrating on the making alone, and some bring their children to experience parent-child activities. There is not only the rustling sound of ceramics slowly rotating in the museum, but also the laughter of the children. When they see the ceramics they made being laid out, everyone is extremely proud.

Dance with Elephants

In Manting Imperial Garden, children not only have these euphemistic experiences, but also have a more representative and exciting experience, that is, dancing with elephants.

It is better to enjoy ourselves than to enjoy ourselves with animals. Mantingyu Garden not only has precious flowers, plants and trees, but also an animal park. Elephants are definitely the king of the zoo. They are very docile and can also perform programs of various difficulties, attracting many tourists to watch.

The Dai boys who trained elephants were very handsome. Perhaps it was because they stayed with these elephants all year round. When they performed together, they were so harmonious and tacit. Just watching from a distance, they could feel the harmony between humans and animals. Get along and understand the close and trusting friendship established between humans and nature.

During the viewing period, the zoo staff looked for several tourists to participate in the game. Three very brave children volunteered to come forward and moved a long bench to sit in front of the elephant. They quietly listened to the staff explain the rules of the activity. We are also ready to watch the exciting activities.

It is hard to believe that such a huge elephant can stand on a small stool and follow the instructions of the staff and make corresponding movements, perfectly integrating the intelligence and dexterity of the animal. The cheers also made the elephant perform more vigorously.

Every time it's elephant performance time, the elephant performance venue becomes the most popular place in Mantingyu Garden. Elephants perform various tricks for tourists such as dancing, crossing wooden bridges, handstands, and playing football. Their innocent appearance attracts tourists 'bursts of laughter.

After the elephant performance, like a child, he crossed his long nose over the fence and asked the tourists for "gifts" for rewards. Several daring children took out the bananas that had been prepared long ago and handed them to the elephant's long nose. On, the elephant rolled up the bananas and ran away. It was so cute!

Release lake praying for release

After playing well, there is also the tranquility of the soul, including the wishing fountain and the release lake.

On the way into the Fangsheng Lake area, we passed through the long wishing corridor. Like a little adult, Xiao Longnu picked up a pen and secretly wrote on the wishing sign that she had buried her heart for a long time using the words she had learned little. Wish, then looked around to find a place she liked, and quietly hung up her wishing sign.

The wishing corridor is filled with the wishes of tourists from all over the world, and everyone sincerely hopes that their wishes can become a reality. The earliest wishing sign in legend is called the "No Things Card", which means peace and stability. The Buddha said: Nothing means there is, and nothing means there is everything. Therefore, the "Nothing Card" is the "wish card". Make your wishes and wishes on the card and hope that your wishes can be realized.

Lancang River. Mekong River Night Song and Dance Bonfire Gala| Six Countries Performance

The excitement is not limited to the day, but in the evening, the excitement of the Royal Garden reaches a climax again.

Xishuangbanna has diverse ethnic minorities, most of whom are good at singing and dancing, and are hospitable. At the entrance of the scenic area, you will see a warm and grand welcome ceremony. Dai girls dressed in beautiful national costumes, singing and dancing. Just like the girl holding an oil-paper umbrella as the poet Dai Wangshu wrote in "In the Rain Lane", the graceful ethnic minority woman holds a colorful oil-paper umbrella and wears refreshing but ethnic costumes to welcome tourists with beauty.

The first thing you can see when you enter the door from Manting Imperial Garden is the bronze statue of Premier Zhou. The bronze statue was unveiled in April 1991 to commemorate Premier Zhou's participation in the Water-Splashing Festival in Xishuangbanna. On the bronze statue, Premier Zhou wore Dai costumes and held a silver bowl filled with clear water in his left hand, an olive branch in his right hand, and a scene of people singing and dancing are also carved on the surrounding copper walls, creating a magical historical echo with the scene at this moment. The girls also wore various national costumes and danced in front of the water-splashed bronze statue of Premier Zhou.

Bamboo pole dance is a major feature of ethnic minorities. If you are interested, you can participate and dance this special bamboo pole dance with beautiful Dai girls. The local young man holds two long bamboo poles, and people jump inside according to the back and forth speed of the bamboo poles. It is a kind of enthusiasm for Xishuangbanna and a joy to participate. Xiao Longnu also holds her little sister's hand with high spirits and plays together.

"Lancang River. The "Mekong River Night" Song and Dance Bonfire Gala is a large-scale themed event held every night in the park. It has now become a well-known brand of cultural tourism in Xishuangbanna. Every visitor who comes to visit is looking forward to the "Dai King Royal Garden" when night falls and the lanterns begin to turn on. -Manting Park will grandly launch this high-profile party.

The performance on the night of "Lancang River·Mekong River" combines the national cultural characteristics of many countries such as China, Laos, and Myanmar. It also includes six ethnic minorities: Dai, Jino, Bulang, Lahu, Yao and Hani. Folk customs performances. Just one performance will allow you to experience the strong national cultural characteristics of several countries. During the performance, every viewer will not take his eyes off.

The party was not only beautiful in singing and dancing, but also had a very pleasant interaction with the audience. The audience also took out electronic products to record the beauty. The wonderful dance and elegant dance posture will also pass down this evening party. What's more worth mentioning is that the background of the party was also particularly exquisite, perfectly matching the costumes, dances, etc. of the actors.

If I talk about this dance party, it would be this thousand-handed Guanyin. It was presented centrally on the stage of the party, blooming wonderfully and unforgettable for a lifetime. The songs were melodious, the dances were gorgeous, and the golden fingers on the actors 'hands were shining with gold. The flashing kept making tourists linger.

After the party, tourists coming from afar would go to pick up a water lamp for blessing and pray piously. At that moment, all the noise and sorrow in their hearts disappeared, and their hearts were filled with reverence and tranquility. After quietly making a wish, they followed The long line put the water lamp into the river to wash away the sorrow far away.

It's not just me, everyone holds a water lamp, closes their eyes, and makes wishes and prayers so pious. Maybe they pray for a happy love, maybe they pray for the health of their families, maybe they pray for the smooth work, and the water lamps of different tourists are put into the water., they float together, and then float together to the place we aspire to.

After the prayer, the bonfire is burning. No matter where you come from or where you are going, at that moment, you are all family. Tourists and local minority residents hold hands, sing and dance around the fire. The fatigue of the day has disappeared at this moment, and I can fully experience the mysterious and cheerful night in the Manting Imperial Garden.

Accommodation: Miman Inn

Staying at Miman Inn was a icing on the cake for my trip to Xishuangbanna. Another attraction of Miman Inn was its indoor swimming pool. This was a surprise for Xiao Longnu and I, who love swimming. The water in the swimming pool is also very clean, and when combined with the exquisite buildings around it, it will give me the illusion of traveling abroad.

Miman Inn is not only a good place to rest, but also a good place to cultivate oneself. The specially placed chessboard allows tourists to sit down and play a game anytime and anywhere. There are also indoor decorations, all of which reflect the reverence for national culture and the traceability of history.

Xiaolongnu also likes this B & B very much. Not only is the room clean, but the decoration also makes us like it. Green plants are everywhere inside, full of vitality, and the meat is placed in a row in cute little vases. There are also many interesting toys. After staying in, I feel like home, and I can't even bear to leave!

I stayed in a standard room and the owner was very welcoming. More importantly, the room was very clean and felt at home. The facilities inside are very complete, and there is also a small tea table that allows me to have a place to sip tea while resting. Stay at Miman Inn and you will never be disappointed!

DAY3. Xishuangbanna Dai Garden

The first day of an official visit in Xishuangbanna was very tiring but also very rich. The enthusiasm for coming to Xishuangbanna undoubtedly overcame the fatigue. The next day, another destination was Xishuangbanna Dai Garden.

When you arrive at the Dai Garden, you start by being a Dai girl, wearing Dai clothes, combing Dai hair, and inserting Dai headdress.

This trip to Xishuangbanna, I brought Xiao Longnu not only to allow her to appreciate the magnificent rivers and mountains of nature from an early age, but also to increase her life experience and learn the most precious things in life. As soon as she arrived here, Xiao Longnu learned how to wear Dai costumes, hair ornaments for Dai women, and successfully learned the etiquette of Dai girls.

When you come to the hometown of Dai girls, how can you not learn a pure Dai dance? The dancing Dai girl had long attracted Xiao Longnu's attention. She carefully joined the dance team with a little shyness, following the footsteps, rhythm, and rhythm of the Dai dancers. She learned it well and danced happily. Her dancing posture was very similar to a local Dai girl.

After finishing the Dai dance, several Dai girls and young men squatted on the ground, holding two bamboo poles in their hands, with tourists jumping around in between. Just like the game of "rubber band jumping" in our childhood, Xiao Longnu was quietly observing. After a while, she became familiar with the rules of play, and happily joined this game of bamboo pole jumping.
After warming up for the Dai people, I first visited the historical monument Thousand Buddha Temple.

Dai Garden, whose full name is Xishuangbanna Dai Garden, is located in Ganlanba, Xishuangbanna, Yunnan Province, China. The scenic area contains five of the best preserved Dai natural villages in my country. This trip to Yunnan is also a good place to visit. It had just rained and the ground was wet. Xiao Longnu and several friends who came to the Dai Garden took a photo closely.

Entering the scenic area, we will see stupas standing in front of us. They are magnificent, sacred and majestic, as if we have entered the Ming Palace. The golden-like stupa sits on a circle of dragons and tigers, carved with cloud patterns, and the sharp spires shoot straight into the sky. Even the floor is brick-red, reflecting each other with the golden palaces and Buddhist temples, which has to make people feel awe.

Moving forward, a pavilions like palace came into view, surrounded by green and crisp green plants, as if it was growing in a jungle. Looking around, it was very interesting. Three royal elephant sculptures wearing armor used their noses to build a Buddha, which looked particularly light and exquisite. A small pavilion was specially made above the Buddha to protect it from the wind and rain. There were also Buddha statues arranged top and bottom in different shapes, which was very interesting.
After the tour, continue to be a pure Dai family and the children continue to study.

This time, I experienced a more precious thing-the Palmleaf Sutra. The Palmleaf Sutra is a scripture written on the leaves of a shellfish tree. The Palmleaf Sutra, known as the "Buddhist Panda", originated from ancient India. In the eyes of the Dai people, the shellfish leaf, also known as the "Goran leaf", is a god that carries the history and culture of the Dai people towards the light. I hope Xiao Longnu will remember having experienced this precious cultural heritage when she grows up.

Then I learned Dai language, starting with simple numbers, from pronunciation to writing, and the teacher taught it step by step. Maybe the child couldn't remember it, but this experience and this process made her life rich.

The most interesting thing is the activity of learning Hulusi. Several children sat together. The local Hulusi teacher distributed a Hulusi to each child and taught the children to blow it with the simplest method and fingering. Xiao Longnu herself is very interested in musical instruments, and the study of Hulusi added a rich touch to her trip to Xishuangbanna.

Everyone knows that in Xishuangbanna, the Water-Splashing Festival is a very grand festival. Although we missed the Water-Splashing Festival, the Ten Thousand People Water-Splashing Square in the Dai Garden allows tourists to experience the atmosphere of the Water-Splashing Festival at any time. The water-splashing carnival kicked off, and the fountain in the center of the square opened, bringing a touch of cooling comfort to tourists. Dai girls also danced with oil paper umbrellas during this water-splashing festival.

We came to the Water Splashing Square in Xishuangbanna Dai Garden for Ten Thousand People and wanted to see the grand scene of the Water Splashing Festival. Xiao Longnu also participated in it and stood among the beautiful Dai girls.

For convenience, we all changed into cool Dai costumes, which are special clothes for splashing water, and entered the center of the splashing square. Regardless of our hairstyle and image, we splashed water and played wantonly. Splashing water symbolizes washing away filth, disaster and bad luck. People take out various containers and splash water on each other to express their blessings, which means peace and tranquility.

This is how the collective water-splashing activity began. This is definitely the best way to liberate our nature. We forget our troubles, let go of the pressure, and splash water and play with each other like innocent children. People are playing and playing in the middle of the fountain, splashing on everyone they meet, and generously giving blessings to those around them. Even if their bodies are soaked, they will not affect their interest in playing at all.

After lunch at noon, the Dai family experience was upgraded, and a Dai martial teacher began to show off his skills in front of the children. Dai Quan is also known as "Phoenix Boxing". It has both the interest of entertainment and the role of fitness and defense. It is also necessary for Xiao Longnu to learn it. Perhaps attracted by the Dai martial arts teacher's handsome martial arts movements, the children all studied very seriously.

In the Dai people, pounding rice is also a very important farming activity. Two Dai female comrades took their children to experience the process of pounding rice firsthand. Stepping on one side hard with one foot, the rice on the other side will be crushed in the pit. Separating the crushed shell rice is not only meaningful, but also allows the children to understand that food is not easy to obtain.

As a descendant of Baiyue, the Dai people have always been mainly farming. During their long-term farming labor, they also created sugar squeezers to extract sugar from sugarcane. They are very wise. We are also fortunate to experience the use of a sugar squeezer in the Dai Garden.

When it's dinner time, we may further experience the making of Dai rice, pineapple rice, grilled fish, roasted meat, etc.

I have long heard that there are many Dai delicacies, which are full of strong ethnic and local characteristics. The grilled fish and pineapple rice wrapped in thatch are fragrant and sweet, and the grilled fish and barbecue are also very suitable for my taste. The cuisines are rich and diverse, many of which are based on nature, wild vegetables on the mountains and the like.

Xiao Longnu wears disposable gloves and is very interested in cooking Dai rice. It is a good experience for children to participate in making delicious food. While children have fun, they cultivate hands-on ability and love of labor.

Ethnic minority table etiquette is particularly enthusiastic. These ethnic minority girls can not only drink alcohol, but also sing and dance well. How can people refuse to drink? During the formal meal, we prepared a beautiful peacock banquet for us. It was not only delicious, but also beautiful. It really made people can't bear to touch chopsticks. It was really impressive.

Accommodation: Manruolan Inn

In the Dai Garden, we chose Manruolan, an inn similar to a B & B, and the owner was as enthusiastic as all Xishuangbanna people.

Manruolan Inn is three-story high. The guest rooms are mainly on the first and second floors. There are double beds and standard rooms, and the room types are not much different.

A characteristic of the tropical rainforest, the yard of each inn is also full of plants and the front and back houses are surrounded by natural trees. It is very comfortable. When we checked in, we just happened to catch the rain. We rested in the inn for a long time and waited until the rain subsided before setting out.

DAY4. Xishuangbanna Tropical Botanical Garden, Chinese Academy of Sciences

On the fourth day we came to Xishuangbanna, we came to the Botanical Garden.

A beautiful big garden. The fourth day of the trip gave us the feeling of suddenly walking into a beautiful big garden in Xishuangbanna. This is the Tropical Botanical Garden affiliated to the Chinese Academy of Sciences.

We came to the Xishuangbanna Tropical Botanical Garden of the Chinese Academy of Sciences, which is also a national 5A-level scenic spot. It is located in Menglun Town, Mengla County, Xishuangbanna Dai Autonomous Prefecture, Yunnan Province, China. It maintains a pristine tropical rainforest with an area of about 2.5km2. Xiao Longnu and I also started this long-cherished trip to the botanical garden.

At the gate of the scenic area, the direction of the Botanical Garden is clearly marked, and there are many tourist buses entering in one after another to enjoy the beautiful scenery of tropical plants. Looking from a distance, heavy mountains surround the village, and heaven and earth intersect into a line in an instant, covered by rolling clouds. "A river and clear water turn to the west to the east, forming the gourd shape of a peninsula" is the best metaphor for the Xishuangbanna Tropical Botanical Garden.

Looking at the Botanical Garden from aerial photography, the Lancang River that flows here, the Luosuo River, has just turned a corner and looks like a gourd shape, enclosing the land, and the Tropical Rainforest Botanical Garden is built on this island. Overlooking the Tropical Rainforest Botanical Garden, layers of green plants are like a maze. The river water passes through the jungle and villages. The clouds cast layers of white mist over the jungle, like a beautiful picture.

In the Botanical Garden, tropical plants of various shapes appeared in front of us. What made us stop and watch was this palm plant whose trunk was as cool as a pineapple shell and its leaves were like a thousand-handed Guanyin. Palm plants of the same kind, some of them are tall and some are too short to be seen, which surprised me, a northerner.

As I walked forward, a reed swath of papyrus came into view. Their roots are deep in the water, open in clusters, and their tapered leaves expand outward. There is also a panula growing on the shore. It is said that it can build houses. There are diverse species growing just a few meters away.

While admiring the rare and exotic grasses, in the blink of an eye, I suddenly discovered that three young girls wearing Dai costumes of different colors, carrying hand-woven bags with a very ethnic style, and holding oil-paper umbrellas, appeared in the bushes and brocade clusters like fairies.

The wooden bridge over the river is winding and stretching into the distance. To my surprise, there were several hand-down umbrellas hanging above the small bridge. This scene was reflected in the river and had a unique taste.

When I came to the Xishuangbanna Botanical Garden, I had very special food for dinner. At the Dai Le Jinwan Restaurant next to the Botanical Garden, I ranked first in the online food rankings at that time. A pair of sisters ran it, the sister was responsible for the inn, and the sister was responsible for the delicious food. The wine is not afraid of the deep alleys. It attracts tourists from afar to Xishuangbanna. And every dish is worthy of its reputation and delicious.

The magical Wang Lian, a fairy tale dream

It's my ignorance. I didn't know that there was a famous Wang Lian here. People can sit on a lotus leaf. It's like a fairy tale world in childhood.

After lunch, we came to the Aquatic Botanical Garden, which covers an area of 15 acres and collects a wide variety of tropical plants and grows them according to the living habits of aquatic plants. Plants like Wang Lian have underground stems rooted in the water, stems grow in the water, and petioles can extend with the water level. This magical thing of sitting on lotus leaves deeply attracts Xiao Longnu.

The entire river was occupied by Wang Lian. Wang Lian gathered together like a wishing lamp for release. Xiao Longnu and a girl dressed in Dai costumes rushed into Wang Lian eagerly, sitting or standing, floating above the river with Wang Lian.

The sky was bright or dark, and it did not affect tourists playing on Wang Lian at all. The girls dressed in Dai costumes and holding colorful oil-paper umbrellas appeared in my camera lens. It was truly unparalleled beauty.

Looking down at Wang Lianqun, there is still a little cute, floating on the water like little green bubbles, and tourists are like little ants riding on the bubbles. But when you look closely at Wang Lian, you can find that the outside of Wang Lian is full of small sharp thorns, wrapping him like a hedgehog. Despite this, tourists still compete to take photos with her.

Interaction with nature-handmade soap

When traveling with a child, the most important thing is not just to see, but also to be able to do it is even more precious.

While visiting the wonderful beauty of nature, we also took a precious phytochemistry class. The staff carefully used a small blackboard to explain to us how to saponify plants. Various explanation materials were also posted on the walls of the classroom. Parents and children listened very carefully. I once again marveled at the wisdom of our ancestors, who could make soap out of plants.

After listening, Xiao Longnu and I began a wonderful journey of saponifying plants. Xiao Longnu took the oil palm plant, added some other plants, and fragrant plants as accessories to enhance the aroma, and finally made a piece of soap that tasted quite good.

Flowers and plants are magical

After doing handicrafts, the rain outside became less severe, and we continued to be in close contact with nature in this mysterious world.

On the waterfall-like green leaves, a small piece of giant purple aristolochia bells grows. The giant aristolochia bells will give off a smell of dead mice. This is not to drive away enemies, but to attract insects to help pollinate it.

This orange-red plant feels like cotton when touching it with your hands. It really seems that you don't know every plant. I really feel that I know nothing in front of the magical nature.

Walking forward, reaching the roadside, and walking to a road leading to a wild flower garden, it was like walking into Alice in Wonderland. What surprised me was that I had heard of gardenia blooming in songs before, but this time I saw gardenia for the first time.

On the path we were walking forward, we stopped and saw a large piece of powder paper fan, which was also my favorite. The pink petals wrapped in the scarf, the bright yellow five-pointed-pointed stamens, and the green lawn set off the pink flower trees, which made us forget to leave.

The magic of the pink paper fan is that it refreshes our usual understanding that these flowers are not flowers but leaves, and the leaves of the entire village bloom into flowers.

Meet the magical rainforest

Traveling through the tropical rainforest once again allowed me to witness the magic of nature. It turns out that some plants in nature are as powerful as animals and make impossible changes. A plant can actually destroy a huge rock.

We came to the Green Stone Forest Scenic Area, which is located in the southeast of the Botanical Garden. The forest coverage rate is more than 90%. Not only is it rich in negative oxygen ions, but the environment is also very beautiful. There are more than 1000 kinds of higher plants growing, and the plant diversity is very rich.

In the scenic area, we can see the wonders of the "tree waterfall". The trunks grow straight upwards, like waterfalls. This is because the banyan tree will produce air roots on the branches, and the air roots will form when they contact the ground. Pillar roots, and then form the miracle of a single tree forest. Due to the geotropism of the roots, most of the air roots are straight, so the spectacle of the "tree waterfall" is formed, which is very amazing.

In addition, the strangulation of fig trees can also be seen everywhere, which also confirms nature's rule of "natural selection, survival of the fittest". Tropical plants used to compete fiercely for sunlight, soil, and nutrients for survival. Weak plants can actually stretch into huge rocks and crush them, which is unimaginable. From between plants, it can also trigger our thinking about human nature.

4 The huge root-root plant is another wonder of the tropical rainforest. The huge tree trunk runs straight into the sky. It will become the topmost plant in the rainforest and feel the sunshine and air. Then the plants in the middle layer have their habits, and the bottommost plants also have their own habits. Moreover, the root-root of this plant is extremely smart, creating a three-legged shape and a stable triangle. There are too many mysteries in nature.

Accommodation: Helen Holiday Hotel

For accommodation, we chose the Helen Holiday Inn next to the gate of the Botanical Garden Scenic Area. It is a good choice to come to the Botanical Garden. The hardware and services are guaranteed. You can go to the Botanical Garden without having to take a car and it takes about 10 minutes on foot.

DAY5.Xishuangbanna Tropical Rainforest National Park

Rare Wangtianshu Scenic Area, seeds go into space by spacecraft

What shocked me the most was the Wangtianshu Scenic Area in Xishuangbanna. Wangtianshu is one of the four endangered plant seeds carried by the "Tiangong-1". It is usually seventy to eighty meters tall and stands on the top of the tropical rainforest. It is precisely because of the existence of Wangtianshu that the Wangtianshu Scenic Area is recognized as a tropical rainforest.

The most exciting thing about Wangtianshu Scenic Area is the sky crown corridor. The slender and narrow corridor is built on the trees and is made of steel cables, nets, steel pipes and other materials. It was initially intended to facilitate the inspection of scientists studying natural plants. Later, it was also open to tourists. The crown corridor spans between two sky-looking trees, crumbling and very exciting.

When I climbed the sky canopy corridor, the weather was not very good, but it did not disturb our mood of playing in the corridor at all. Many tourists chose to carry umbrellas and continue moving forward. There is a huge orangutan sculpture under the corridor. It is very powerful, as if it is guarding the canopy corridor in the sky.

Standing on the canopy corridor in the sky, you can see an overview of the Wangtianshu Scenic Area. This is a lion's perspective on the forest. It wasn't until he stepped into the sky canopy corridor that the excitement slowly became real. Only one person can pass through the narrow corridor at a time, and only one foot can be released. For a while in the middle, I was really nervous and afraid. We also dropped the seeds of the Wangtian Tree on it to wish and wish.

Standing on the canopy corridor in the sky, you can see an overview of the Wangtianshu Scenic Area. This is a lion's perspective on the forest. The reason why I like this scenic spot so much is that the sky corridor of Wangtianshu is a play project that extends on the basis of the real Wangtianshu plant. It not only reflects the rarity and height of Wangtianshu, but also allows people to feel the feeling of animals on it. It is completely different from the artificially imposed entertainment projects in ordinary scenic spots.

The magical jungle

Then I will talk about how I feel in the tropical rainforest of Wangtianshu.

The Wangtianshu Scenic Area where Xiao Longnu and I came to is located in the northeast of Mengla County. It is an important part of the Xishuangbanna Nature Reserve and a typical representative of the concentrated growth of tropical rainforest plants in my country. It is also officially rated as a national 4A-level tourist attraction by the National Tourism Administration. As soon as I arrived at the entrance of the scenic area, I was attracted by the lush tropical plants and gurgling waterfalls in the scenic area.

A very cute elephant-shaped command board reminds us that the Xishuangbanna National Nature Reserve is just ahead. It is a large-scale forest eco-tourism attraction that can view and experience tropical rainforests in all directions from water, land and air. The scenic area is dominated by the extremely vigorous growth of Wangtian trees, as well as plants such as board roots, stem flowers, stem fruits, and strangulation that we usually see. The flowers are arranged and open layer by layer, which looks very beautiful.

Wangtianshu is a representative tree species in Asian tropical rainforests. It is a national-level protected plant. It can reach seventy to eighty meters high and the thickest one can reach 300 centimeters. It is established among many tropical rainforest plants. It is so outstanding that it seems to be able to reach the sky., I have to be called the "giant" in the tropical rainforest. A little moss also grows on the horizontal tree trunk, which is enough to show the strong vitality and vitality of the tropical rainforest.

Stepping on a stone path between the jungle, I began a journey to watch the sky trees. Along the way, it seemed like I was isolated from the world, and all the noise had disappeared. As we walked forward, the huge plank appeared in front of us again.

At the bottom of the tropical rainforest, we see coniferous plants. Over the long term, plants have grown into suitable ecology. Not only the thick roots, but also the complex leaves growing on the trees are extremely large and dense. The annual rings on the Wangtianshu, each strong and vicissitudes of tree trunks, seem to tell us the ancient history they have experienced. There is also a small stream in the woods, clear and green, and the river surface is covered with a thin layer of fog.

Another very meaningful thing to come out of the tropical rainforest is to use the fallen leaves of jungle plants to make specimens and carry out various ideas. This is also a very meaningful memorial of this trip.

Wangtianshu also carries scientific research. The research results of a doctor are to artificially hang nests to settle down a certain kind of bird, and then conduct research. This time, children are allowed to hang these caring nests. Build a loving nest for the birds of nature, observe the occupancy rate of the bird nest built for the birds of the forest anytime and anywhere through a micro-hole camera, and feel the harmonious coexistence between man and nature.

One of the other treasures of Wangtianshu is Arabica coffee. In Wangtianshu Scenic Area, you can experience the mellow Arabica coffee with your own hands and the aroma of hand-ground coffee.

Xiao Longnu also mischievously took photos with a toy camera in Wangtian Village.

Experience the "Nanla River" of Mengla Mother River

Mengla Mother River "Nanla River" in Dai translates into Chanyu River, and we took a boat trip.

The area where Wangtianshu Scenic Area is located is a world-recognized tropical rainforest in China. It is a beautiful oasis at 21 degrees north latitude. It must have the Nanla River tropical rainforest known as the "Oriental Amazon". We also choose to take a tropical rainforest cruise ship and sightseeing boat to browse the magical craftsmanship left by nature.

Overlooking the sightseeing island, several sightseeing boats are neatly arranged, making them very small on the Nanla River. The Nanla River is so deep that it is bottomless and crystal green. The sightseeing boat cannot carry many people at one time, so it looks relatively tidy, but the safety and security work are very perfect.

Perhaps it was because the boat was sailing a little fast, but even after putting on a life jacket and doing a good job in ensuring Xiao Longnu, her face still showed a little worry. But he was quickly attracted by the beautiful scenery on the river and the dense jungles on both sides of the river. The experience strengthened the child's courage.

Overlooking the Wangtianshu Scenic Area, surrounded by dew and green mountains are evergreen. Because the rain in the tropical rainforest is extremely abundant, there is often rain in the mountains. After the rain, the tropical rainforest forms a white fog due to the evaporation of water vapor, which fills the rainforest, as if covered with a mysterious layer of white gauze.

Sightseeing boats are driving in the river, small villages are surrounded by dense tropical plants, long air corridors span the two sides of the river, and the buildings in every place are like beautiful scenery carefully created by nature. In the distance, the mountains are winding, lush and full of the mystery of nature.

Night tour of Wangtianshu

At night, the world of the jungle seems to be richer, and we are fortunate to have further contact with nature at night.

As night falls, a bright moon hangs high on the Wangtianshu. The Wangtianshu Scenic Area is also covered with a layer of mystery. We are ready to set off again. The rainforests on both sides of the strait are dense and rich in species. When traveling at night, you will definitely encounter some small animals that go night. Within two steps, we found small snails crawling on the rock wall, and groups of ants gnawing on a bug. At night, we could hear the animal's voice more clearly.

As we walked forward, a jumping frog suddenly appeared, which really scared us. I immediately took out my camera and photographed it, as well as some other small animals and knowledgeable scenic area staff, who popularized our knowledge.

I think such an experience is very precious. When we were young, many people still had memories of the countryside and were able to get in touch with nature. However, our children rarely had the opportunity to get in touch with nature. Encounter small animals on such a night plays a great role in promoting children's understanding of the world.
I think these are one of the reasons why I am so impressed by Wangtianshu.

Accommodation: Yaxitai Hotel

This time we stayed at the Asitai Hotel. Just like its name, it not only has Chinese style, but also Thai folk customs. The moment I entered the door, I only felt luxury, which cannot be exaggerated to describe it as magnificent. The lobby is very cool, very refreshing, and clean, giving tourists a feeling of home.

A reception area is carefully prepared in the lobby to allow tourists to enter the hotel after being tired and enjoy comfortable treatment. The sofa is also of a very Chinese style, and several pillows are also placed for tourists to lean on. Even the carved patterns on the sofa are also very elegant. There are two elevators in the hall to avoid being crowded when tourists go up and down the stairs. Two festive red lanterns are also hung on the front desk.

Entering the room, I found that the equipment was everything and was quite smart. The slightly in the room was a smart Bluetooth system that could be connected to the guest's electronic equipment. The room is also very clean, with not only Xiao Longnu's favorite bathtub, but also a smart toilet.

The staff of Yaxitai Hotel are of high quality and very loving. Two pairs of swans were placed on the bed and put on towels. They looked very cute and cute. Xiaolongnu spent an unforgettable night.

DAY6. Mohan Gate, Return Journey

Another gain from coming to Xishuangbanna is that you can go abroad and have a look.

It is a very happy thing to check in at the gate. Mohan is a southern frontier town in China, belonging to Mengla County, Xishuangbanna Dai Autonomous Prefecture, Yunnan Province. Mohan is the terminal point of my country's National Highway 213 (Lanmo Line) and connects with Laos Highway 13. ASEAN Avenue runs through the north and south of the town and is about 300 meters long.

return

After so many journeys, frankly speaking, it is difficult to impress me in many places. Meeting Xishuangbanna is as cordial as a reunion after a long separation, but it is full of surprises, especially when traveling with her children and children. It is full of rewards. Xiao Longnu is not yet five years old. I know many mysterious and strange things that she may not be able to remember, but she will definitely plant seeds in her young heart and accompany her to grow and sprout. I think when she grows older, she will definitely come back to Xishuangbanna. Let her reminisce about this magical land once again.
