The spirit of craftsmanship is an attitude, a focus, and a pursuit. The bricks, tiles, and buildings of Changshou Bodhi Ancient Town showcase the ingenuity of artists, designers, and builders.

Changshou Bodhi Ancient Town has two major water systems, one is Qinglong Creek and the other is Wanshou River. These two water systems are the main tourist routes except for Wanshou Road. There are twenty-four bridges with different styles on Qinglong Creek and Wanshou River.

The ancient town has formed a rare feng shui treasure land with water as the carrier and bridges as the link.

On a bright moon night at the Twenty Four Bridges, where can jade people teach how to play the flute? "Du Mu's depiction of the Twenty Four Bridges in Yangzhou is a mockery of old friends and a nostalgia for Jiangnan. The twenty-four bridges in Yangzhou carry the romantic fantasies of literati and poets.

The twenty-four bridges in Changshou Bodhi Ancient Town are different from those in Yangzhou. In addition to emphasizing the combination of tradition and modernity in bridge design, they also highlight the cultural characteristics of China's Fushou culture and the local culture of Bayu, becoming a unique natural and cultural landscape.

The twenty-four bridges in Changshou Bodhi Ancient Town are divided into four groups. The first group is the Fushou Six Bridges, namely Pengzu Bridge, Magu Bridge, Guishou Bridge, Yantao Bridge, Wuling Bridge, and Qiaoweng Bridge, which are representatives of China's Fushou culture.

The second group consists of the six bridges of Bazu, namely Wuxian Bridge, Shennong Bridge, Dayu Bridge, Yaojun Bridge, Shennu Bridge, and Jiangjun Bridge, revealing the history of the early origins of Bayu culture.

The third group is the Yuyun Six Bridges, which include Liangjiang Bridge, Huaiqing Bridge, Kuimen Bridge, Zhuzhi Bridge, Bayan Bridge, and Yulin Bridge, reflecting the natural and cultural traditions of the Bayu region.

The fourth group consists of the Longevity Six Bridges, namely Huanhou Bridge, Wenfeng Bridge, Donglin Bridge, Bodhi Bridge, Shenshou Bridge, and Huanzhu Bridge, showcasing the natural and cultural attractions and famous cultural figures of Longevity, such as Huanhou Palace, Wenfeng Pagoda, Donglin Temple, Bodhi Mountain, Tianci Shou Island, and Huanzhu Lord.

Each of the twenty-four bridges in Changshou Bodhi Ancient Town has a meaningful name, a beautiful story, and a sculpture that reflects these historical stories.

Like Yulin Bridge, taken from the story of Emperor Jianwen seeking refuge and longevity by Yulin River; Liangjiang Bridge, taken from Chaotianmen where the Yangtze River and Jialing River converge; The Bayan Bridge is derived from the high pitched, heroic, and powerful Chuanjiang chant shouted by the boatman as he carries heavy loads forward.

Legend has it that in order to evade the pursuit of Ming Chengzu Zhu Di, Emperor Jianwen of the Ming Dynasty once went to Linshui to seek refuge with Du Jingxian, an old minister of his grandfather Zhu Yuanzhang. According to the "Annals of the Ming Dynasty" and the "Annals of Linshui County", Emperor Jianwen once sailed twice to Yaotan in Linshui. His courtiers and officials sailed in the deep gorge of the Taihong River, admiring the mountains and water, reciting the "Li Sao" in a desolate and sorrowful manner. Later generations recorded the incident and renamed Linshui as Yulin River.

In addition to the Ba Yu culture, the bridges in the ancient town are also rich in the connotations of the Fu Shou culture. Walking across Pengzu Bridge, for eight hundred years, with an eternal lifespan; After crossing Magu Bridge, one can see that Donghai has transformed into mulberry fields three times; Walking across the Peach Blossom Bridge, sending lotus fragrance ten miles away, and wishing everyone longevity; Passing through the Turtle Life Bridge, the Turtle Crane extends its lifespan for thousands of years

Visiting these exquisite stone bridges is like wandering through a stone bridge museum in China, reading a profound historical book about Chinese longevity culture and Ba Yu culture.
